A good sports reporter will tell you a team may look invincible on paper, but when the game begins anything can happen.

Whoopi Goldberg feels the same way about North Korea’s government.

Goldberg shared her latest profound political thoughts on “The View” earlier today. The all-women panel were pontificating on the sudden death of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il and the greater geopolitical picture in his absence. That meant the conversation veered toward Communism, and the Oscar-winning Goldberg sounded like she wished she lived in a Communist-run country.

On paper, at least.

Joy Behar: By the way, Saddam Hussein who is now taken out, dead. He also liked American culture. It didn’t- In other words, it doesn’t always matter.

Whoopi Goldberg: No, it doesn’t matter. Because, you know, if you say that this is how our culture is and then you send your child to a Swiss boarding school -You know, this is what happens with communism. It’s a great concept. On paper it makes perfect sense.

But once you put a human being in power, it shifts. We saw it in Russia, we’ve seen it all around the world. It’s nuts. But, I keep my fingers crossed.

One of Whoopi Goldberg’s ex-tenants has a rather nasty “View” of the Oscar-winning actress.

Suzanne Lindsay once lived in a New Jersey home owned by the “Sister Act” star, now best known for her pontificating on ABC’s “The View.” But Lindsay had to leave her home in a hurry when she ran into some financial trouble, and she’s none too happy about how Goldberg handled the matter.

Whoopi Goldberg has a heart of coal when it comes to collecting the rent–that’s what a former tenant of “The View” host claims after she was evicted from her home of 40 years after falling behind in her property taxes.

“She is a merciless, cruel woman,” Suzanne Lindsay tells Star magazine, via RadarOnline.com, of Goldberg. “I found myself a single mom after having three children. I was working, but I couldn’t keep up because of all the tragedy.”

… Goldberg noted that Lindsay was “was completely unrealistic about the value of the property” and owed the bank “over $350,000” and was “in default on her mortgage as well as her rent.”

… Lindsay, meanwhile, insists that she was steamrolled by a Hollywood star. “You have to be a very wealthy person to go up against (Goldberg), and I didn’t have any money.”

Will Billy Crystal return as Oscar’s host? That’s the question today.

You know, it’s kind of amazing that as telecast ratings for the the Academy Awards sail over a cliff, the Academy appears to be in complete denial over what the real problem is. For starters, a large number of their recent hosts — Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg, David Letterman, Chris Rock and Jon Stewart — are polarizing and divisive figures who turn off well over half the country. Those of us who don’t live on the coasts don’t like these people, and why should we? They continually insult us, who we are, and what we hold dear. No Bitter Clinger in their right mind wastes a Sunday night with their guts in a knot waiting for a Leftist sucker shot.

Oscar has the same problem with presenters and winners. Every time some mouthy jerk grabs a trophy we sit there on edge waiting, waiting, waiting for it.

If you believe in traditional marriage, love Jesus, adore America, hate terrorists and have finally figured out Obama’s a failed president — watching the Oscars sucks.

Billy Crystal does, however, transcend that problem. Not 100%, but he is a national figure who isn’t polarizing, puts on a great show, and in the talent and class department comes as close to a Bob Hope and Johnny Carson as anyone today. And sadly, he’s about it.

If Crystal were to return to hosting duties, I have no doubt ratings would improve thanks to the enormous amount of goodwill he’s built up over the last few decades. However, if Hollywood ever wants to return to that golden era when watching the Academy Awards telecast was a national viewing experience, they have much, much bigger issues to deal with.

Hey, Hollywood: You can add 100 best Picture categories for all we care and hire all the young, pretty hosts most of us have never heard of like James Franco — but your real problem is that most of America is just not-liking you back.

Perhaps the most shocking part of this clip is watching Whoopi Goldberg ignore the devastation of the American black family with an oddball defense of single parenthood. The shamelessness of the leftist spin knows no boundaries, but part of the Left’’s tactic is to make it seem as though no one on our side can ever be right … about anything. And so in furtherance of that, Bachmann’s signing of a document that (among other things) decries the abomination of slavery and the awful unwed birth-rate in the black community, is spun into some kind of negative racial pose on the Congresswoman’s part.

It’s all about creating a narrative, not truth.

Earlier this week I ran a piece at Big Journalism that examines how the MSM, in their desperate efforts to undermine and destroy Sarah Palin, are willing to weaponize her own children as political bludgeons against her. The idea is, at all costs, to undermine her seriousness and to create a relentless storm of nonsensical controversies around her that serve the leftist MSM’s partisan desires in three ways. First, by creating a narrative out of the ridiculous, the Governor is never allowed to get her message out. Second, it furthers the goal of turning her into a punchline. Finally, this Palin-Fury the MSM constantly brews up is meant to condition us to wince every time she pops her head out of the ground. Simply put, Palin’s MSM enemies want to exhaust us to the point where we start to wish she’d just go away; and the day after that piece published there was yet another textbook example.

—–

Monday night, at a military fundraiser, Governor Palin laid out what you might call the Palin Doctrine, a five-part plan that defines her vision for American national security. As a potential GOP candidate, any mainstream news outlet that wasn’t corrupt would find this to be a very big deal, but what did we get instead? Alinsky 101:

ABC News: Palin (Sort of) Praises Obama on Bin Laden

Mediaite: Palin Thanks President On Bin Laden’s Death, But Doesn’t Mention Obama By Name

Los Angeles Time: Sarah Palin credits Bush for Osama bin Laden’s death, omits Obama’s name

These headlines are actually dumber and more misleading than they look when you read (video clip above) what the Governor actually said:

Yesterday was a testament to the military’s dedication in relentlessly hunting down an enemy through many years of war, and we thank our president. We thank President Bush for having made the right calls to set up this victory.

See what the Left-wing MSM is doing there? Palin says “our president” instead of “President Obama,” and that becomes the headline and narrative.

The result… pure journ-o-lism. You won’t believe your eyes when you click here and here. This phony narrative spread like virus, which is exactly what it was meant to do.

On its face the MSM’s story is absurd, but the motivations at work here are much more insidious. A potential GOP candidate gives a very serious and thoughtful speech laying out her national security vision and that vision is intentionally snuffed by a craven MSM with another round of Palin-Fury, another intentional ginning up of silliness that, for whatever reason, the MSM seems to only directs towards conservative women like Palin and Michele Bachmann.

This is who the MSM is and this is what they do.

But wait there’s more….

This unholy union doesn’t end in the media. The next step is to spread it into the popular culture where, I believe, the most damage can be done. That’s where phony narratives tend to be cemented. And so here we go:

—–

This is just a preview of what 2012 will look like. Obama can’t win a referendum on his failed presidency, so the goal will be for his Palace Guards in the media and Hollywood to destroy everyone on our side who might pose a challenge to him.

Whether it’s Trump’s a racist for saying “basketball,” or Palin didn’t say a particular word, the corrupt MSM will stir up these phony narratives and then popular culture, through “The View,” “SNL,” Colbert and Stewart, will take it from there.

What Can You Do?

1. See The Matrix.

2. Become activists, especially online.

3. Spread the word. Politely and publicly hold these outlets accountable via Twitter, Facebook, and other forms of social media.

4. Don’t allow the media to tell you how to vote.

5. Fight the power, fight the corruption.

Mrs. Doubtfire, a Taxi Driver, a comedian from Brooklyn, and a guy with “Good Hair” are all criticizing Donald Trump, the guy with bad hair.

While Donald Trump might not be America’s first choice for president, he sure is stirring up controversy. Let’s face it – if Trump has the chutzpah to wear that hairdo, the guy could care less what anyone thinks of him.

It surprises no one that Hollywood remains the bastion of liberal thought, lifestyle, and politics, and Barack Obama is Hollywood’s golden child. Barack even inspired Scarlett Johansson to utter the words “Yes we can.” As far as we know, even Bill Clinton couldn’t accomplish that feat.

So when The Donald decided to take on The Barry, Hollywood quickly came together to take the spotlight off the Presidential debacle and place it squarely on the guy with the lemon-colored pompadour. On behalf of Barack Obama, Hollywood is – no pun intended – “black balling” the Celebrity Apprentice mogul for daring to question the President’s background.

Hollywood liberals are fine with Obama’s failed presidency – his decimation of the economy, his unending list of broken promises, going to war in Libya, $5 a gallon gasoline and illegals streaming into the mother country called California. What the Robert DeNiros and Chris Rocks of the world find inexcusable is Trump demanding to see birth and college records.

Wayne ‘Mad Dog’ Dobie and Obama supporter Robert DeNiro, star of “Analyze This,” called Trump’s quest for truth “crazy.” DeNiro told NBC News anchor Brian Williams, “I won’t mention names, but there are certain people on the news in the last couple of weeks — what they’re doing is crazy …They’re making statements about people that they don’t even back up. Go get the facts before you start saying things about people.”

DeNiro called Trump’s “White House aspirations ‘a big hustle’… likening Trump to a ‘car salesman.’” Has Robert DeNiro taken the time to glance up from his script long enough to notice that Barack Obama is on a ‘crazy’ quest to convince America that up is down and down is up?

In response, Trump, the guy who has no problem telling celebrities, “You’re fired!” fired back at Bobby D., pointing out that to question the whereabouts of documentation that after three years suddenly shows up calls into question the intelligence of the critic. Hearkening back to DeNiro’s starring role as Stanley Everett Cox, the illiterate cafeteria cook in Stanley and Iris, The Donald said, “Well he’s not the brightest bulb on the planet… we’re not dealing with Albert Einstein.”

Robert DeNiro is not alone; joining the Trounce Trump chorus is Bill Cosby, who said Donald is “full of it,” and that Trump should “run, or shut up.” Instead, Cosby should have asked Obama to “Put up the birth certificate or shut up.”

Because he’s offended by Eric Trump’s dad asking “Why is Obama’s past so secretive?” Jerry Seinfeld cancelled an appearance at a St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital fundraiser. That decision now puts St. Jude’s Research Hospital’s founder, the late Danny Thomas’ über liberal daughter Marlo, in a bit of a pickle and Seinfeld in the same category as “The Barefoot Contessa” Ina Garten, who initially denied a Make-A-Wish request from a six year-old boy to go to a book signing.

Whoopi Goldberg called Trump’s birther questions “the biggest pile of dog mess I’ve heard in ages!” Then Ms. Goldberg pulled the race card and asked, “It’s not because he’s black, is it?”

Oprah, the queen of positive vibes who encourages viewers to “Focus on the Good Stuff,” listened as Chris Rock defended Obama by bringing up Trump’s ex-wives and implying that Tea Partiers are childish and “possessed by the devil.” Master interviewer Oprah Winfrey never once asked Rock the question: “Yeah, but why no birth certificate for all that time?”

Finally, but surely not the last to criticize Trump, is Robert DeNiro’s “Awakenings” costar, the sweaty, frenetic, ADD-afflicted comedian Robin Williams. Looking like DeNiro disguised by a beard, instead of Mork from Ork admitting that voting for a man with a questionable history was a bit of a gamble in itself, Williams said “Trump would turn the White House into a casino.”

Segueing from slot machines to Trump’s comb-over, Robin Williams said, “I believe the hair is actually The Donald. That’s actually the creature.” Robin said Trump’s hair asks him questions, such as “How are we doing today? Who shall we marry next?”

From DeNiro to Goldberg, from Rock to Robin, Hollywood luminaries are predictable when it comes to politics. However, the unified condemnation of Donald Trump proves one salient point: Hollywood liberals would rather support Barack Obama than admit that Trump asking to see a Certificate of Live Birth or college transcripts isn’t the problem; the problem is, why should he have to?

—-

Why so angry, Whoopi? Joy?

Let’s back up a little…

I’m no Birther, I simply believe that the White House and MSM teamed up to keep the birth certificate issue alive as a weapon to use against the Right. As an example, nothing made NBC’s David Gregory happier than to ask a conservative about the issue and subsequently nothing made the rest of the corrupt media happier than to amplify that moment and use it to drown out the conservative political message. So instead of the MSM doing their job and educating the public — as they did when McCain’s place of birth was questioned — they chose to palace-guard Obama and join in on the racial smearing. This was all about fundraising, distracting, and dividing. Or, what we call standard operating procedure when it comes to our friends on the Left.

The bottom line is that Donald Trump did the media’s job for them, the President (finally) did the right thing, the MSM has egg on their face, and the moment that birth certificate dropped the Left as a whole knew they lost a powerful political weapon. I vehemently disagreed with the Birthers but at the same time understood the cynical politics behind the White House and MSM’s decision to keep the Birthers ginned up. So today is a major win for our side and we have Trump to thank for it. Long story short…

THIS is where all of Whoopi and Joy’s boiling-over frustration is coming from. Trump forced an issue the MSM should have resolve to everyone’s satisfaction years ago, he refused to be cowed by their race-baiting, and has now effectively disarmed and backfired an issue that once delighted the Left. And because the Left is furious in defeat and has no ideas — only tactics – they’re now doubling down on labeling Trump a race-baiter, and worse.

Whoopi’s friends with Trump, knows he’s no racist, and yet joins in with Joyless to declare Trump’s basketball comment worthy of playing the race card. Uhm ladies, the President plays basketball. America knows this, knows Trump’s no racist, and my guess is that the fearless billionaire will once again show us the way when it comes to handling these increasingly pathetic and desperate tactics.

More than once during his press conference this morning, Trump declared openly that the press protects Obama and no one else. Of course, he’s absolutely right, the American people know it, and the media might want to stop digging.

Does Hollywood and the MSM really think they can bully a guy who just made the President of the United States blink?

Hollywood loves war, it is their glory. War lines the pockets of Hollywood liberals while giving them a forum to moralize their position at the cost of box office totals. And war is what most Hollywood lefties turn to when they dream of marching the streets with blood made of sugar-water and red-dye number three on their phony hands.

In 2002 a group of Hollywood stars met to discuss ways to protest the war in Iraq. The meeting took place in a private swanky home, only an hour or so after President Bush took to the airwaves to announce the commencement of the military conflict.

The group — called themselves Artists United to Win Without War — with merry huckster members Susan Sarandon, Ethan Hawke and Jessica Lange speaking out from the east coast. The Grand Poobah of this rank and file of brilliant geopolitical-analysts was none other than Rob Reiner. The rest of the troops were made up by Sally Field, Blythe Danner, Christine Lahti and husband Thomas Schlamme (director of The West Wing), MASH star Mike Farrell, Dharma & Greg’s Mimi Kennedy, Bradley Whitford and then wife Jane Kaczmarek, writer/director Audrey Wells, producer Robert Greenwald, actress Fionnula Flanagan, TV stars Lindsay Wagner, Daniel Benzali, Sharon Lawrence, David Clennon and rising star Troy Garity, the son of Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden. (This group has grown to over 140 members.) It was announced at the event that the Barbra Streisand Foundation was donating $5,000 to keep the group going. I assume the donation was for the Russian beluga and Crystal served to these wealthy Democrats by the Venezuelan help on loan from Hugo Chavez.

It is in the very heart of Hollywood, as misguided and self-serving as it is, to march in the streets, to make movies about their positions, and to yell like banshees: “War is not the answer!” The problem with Hollywood celebrities shouting anti-war babble is their inability to ask the question, “Without war, where would Hollywood be?”

Make no mistake, Libya is a war. It is the same war as the one fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. When you break something, bomb something, or kill someone it is war — and you own it. Libya is the next phase of the same war. This triptych wars first brush stroke came in 2002 at the hands of President Bush because he knew something the left could not grasp: people everywhere want to be free of oppression first and foremost. That spirit of wanting to be free has now spread like a holy fire throughout the Middle East and into the lap of Hollywood liberals who now sit in silence.

Hollywood’s ruling class of totalitarian liberals cannot choose which war they protest simply because the soft-bigotry-of-low-expectations has put their man in office and the world has now placed him behind the gun. If Hollywood groups like Artists United to Win Without War want to be taken seriously and respected for their anti-war positions they must be consistent. They cannot say this war in Libya is humanitarian. After all, Kurds were being slaughtered in Iraq and women had been treated like animals for hundreds of years in Afghanistan. Hollywood cannot choose what war kills people and what war saves people. Because all war does that, that is its purpose.

Without war Hollywood has no stories to tell, no actors to play pretend hero, and no special effects to blow up balsa-wood worlds. Without war Hollywood liberals have nothing left to fight, and when liberals have nothing left to fight, they have a hard time finding something to live for. Peace is the mirror that walks in front of them that they dread so much. They need war to say, “We are better than that which we do not understand.”

Today, the only group of anti-war Hollywood liberals meeting to discuss the war in Libya are those looking for an angle on how to produce pro-war movies in the name of Commander and Chief Barack Obama. When war breaks out and Democrats are in the White House, Hollywood liberals become warmongers by remaining silent to a cause they acted so passionate about when Bush was in office.

Well it’s that time of year when all of the rich leftists in Hollywood get out their $40,000 dollar gowns, put on their millions in jewelry, climb into their limos, and head up to the Kodak Theater to pat themselves on the back for being working class heroes. I couldn’t care less about which picture or actor gets a trophy, I just love listening to the political correctness and monumental hubris on display for the world to see.

In the past I have tried to guess the Oscar winners by trying to decide which films best fit into the current liberal Hollywood zeitgeist. My favorite nomination this year is the truly mediocre “The Kid’s are Alright.” It’s about a lesbian couple’s kids who seek their biological father and realize the moms make better dads! If this movie had ended with the one woman admitting she digs guys and leaving her lesbian partner, do you think it would have been nominated?

This year I have decided to add my own category. The category is: Which liberal cause will come up most often during the evening. And the nominees are:

Republicans Destroying Unions: Starring: The State of Wisconsin, Screenplay by John Trumka and Mitch Stewart. I predict that at least three people will mention how they stand in solidarity with the government workers in Wisconsin, and around the world. Forget the fact that the Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA, the two largest performer’s unions, don’t allow their “poorer” members access to the union health care plan or pension at any price. Multimillionaire union actors will stand with their brothers and sisters who are being asked to fork over a few bucks for their lavish benefit packages. As we already know, SAG has been drumbeating for the folks protesting in Wisconsin already! I love how my unions spend my money on causes with which I don’t agree, but I’m getting off the subject.

Revolutions are Us: Starring: Countries throughout Africa and the Middle East, Screenplay by Google and The Muslin Brotherhood from an original work by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. I’m sure someone will mention how great all the revolutions are in Africa and the Middle East. Forget the fact that the first people who an Islamic government will line up against a wall are Jews, homosexuals and artists.

We’re Still Here: Starring: Whoopi Goldberg. The Whoopster made a lot of noise on The View about not being mentioned in a New York Times article about the lack of Black nominees this year. Please note she wasn’t upset about the lack of Black nominees but that she wasn’t mentioned as an Oscar winner. Maybe Ms. Goldberg has made so many turkeys since Ghost in 1990 that the writer was trying to be nice to her by not reminding people that at one time Whoopi was considered a serious actress.

One could make the case that winning an Oscar is a bad career move for an actor or actress of color. In addition to Ms. Goldberg the careers of Jamie Foxx, Cuba Gooding Jr. Louis Gossett Jr., Jennifer Hudson, and Halle Berry have certainly not been on the upswing lately. Even the great Sidney Poitier was never recognized again after winning in 1963. To be fair to the Academy, most of his movies after 1967 were very forgettable.

I know people will be critical of me so let me state for the record that I don’t say Mr. Poitier or Ms. Goldberg shouldn’t have taken any of the less than stellar roles they were offered. Trust me, if they make “Sister Act VII” or “They Call Me Mr. Tibbs 4” and offer me the most minor roll, I would jump on it like Bob Goldthwaite jumped on “Hot to Trot!” Hey you gotta pay the bills and make the minimum to get your union health care.

The real minority in Hollywood that gets ignored every year are conservative actors, directors and producers. Are any conservative actors, directors or producers up for an award this year?

Who do we see about that?

In the video above, there’s really no way to tell if Whoopi Goldberg has a point or not. This 2,000+ word piece written by Manohla Daris and A.O. Scott is, to put it simply, a mess. Does this even make any sense?

Real change seemed to have come to movies or at least the Academy, which had given statuettes to a total of seven black actors in the previous 73 years. After Mr. Washington and Ms. Berry, there would be Jamie Foxx and Forest Whitaker (both best actors); Morgan Freeman (best supporting actor); Jennifer Hudson and Mo’Nique (best supporting actresses). The consolidation of a black presence in the movies and television did not signal the arrival of a postracial Hollywood any more than the election of Barack Obama in 2008 spelled the end of America’s 400-year-old racial drama. But it was possible, over much of the past decade, to believe that a few of the old demons of suspicion and exclusion might finally be laid to rest.

I’m assuming that’s the section Whoopi feels snubbed by, but the wording is so confusing there’s really no way to tell if she should’ve been included there or not.

Anyway, what Daris and Scott are trying to do here is write one of those self-important “what does it all mean” articles about the lack of a Black Oscar nominee this year, and as much as I relish seeing left-wing Hollywood cook in their own PC juices, the article sucks. Once Obama’s brought into the argument, you know there’s no argument … or point. I’ve tried to read the piece three times now and still have no idea what the 2,000 words are trying to say.

One year without a Black Oscar nominee does not a “what does it all mean” article justify.

Regardless, when I’m King (negotiations are ongoing), Denzel will win every year whether he makes a movie or not. Because he rules.
