According to Michael Moore’s tweet (and everyone on MSNBC and CNN), President Barack Obama is correct to force the Catholic Church to offer insurance that provides free birth control, sterilization, and the Morning After abortion pill — because “the law is clear” about “equal access to birth control for all women no matter where they work.”

Really? There’s a right to free birth control through your employer? Liar.

But what Moore is doing here is what Obama and his media minions are doing. They’re turning a government mandate that violates the First Amendment into a “rights” issue.

What Obama is attempting to do to the Catholic Church is no different than creating a federal mandate that would require every Islamic-run business to provide pork rinds in their vending machines — because people have a right to equal access to fat free foods.

—-

Note all the Catholic Church-bashing Moore’s engages in. Where is that coming from and what does it have to do with this debate?

It’s just hate, pure and simple.

The price those the left label as apostates pay is always a high one. Their very identity is questioned, and these attacks are always ignored by the same MSM that labels facts, such as the record number of food stamp recipients under President FailureTeleprompter, as racist. Moreover, heaven help a comedian who aims a little satire at the gay community, but once again, openly sexist, racially-charged attacks against leftist apostates are always met with the media’s approval in the form of complicit silence.

Crystal Wright is an accomplished commentator and writer who holds a Masters from Georgetown. But she just happens to be black and female and Republican, so therefore …. this gets fired out to nearly a quarter of a million people:

—–

Ms. Wright wrote about what happened at Freedoms Journal:

What’s curious is no other race, White, Hispanic or Asian, gives over 90% of their vote to one party but blacks. In exchange for this block vote, Democrats, including President Obama, our first black president, take the black vote for granted each election cycle because they don’t have to work for it.

Since I began my blog, most of the hateful email and tweets I receive come from black liberals. I find this ironic since the Democrat party touts itself as the party of tolerance and as DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently said it is “the natural home to minorities.” Some tolerance!

To give you a taste of the kind vulgar, distasteful and racist comments I receive, I thought I would share with you some unsavory tweets hurled at me while I joined BET’s Ed Gordon Tuesday night as the only black Republican woman providing analysis of President Obama’s State of the Union Speech.

Cedric the Entertainer, as he refers to himself, didn’t like my commentary that Obama’s speech was more Obama blaming Bush, Republicans and everything under the sun for his failed policies. So, he tweeted the following:

What follows is the screen-shot of the tweet above and tweets inspired by Cedric.

Isn’t it just grand when self-proclaimed Hollywood feminists gang up on conservative female heavyweights? As entry #5,849,948 in my Profiles of Liberal Hypocrisy we have Ellen Barkin, Julianne Moore and Meryl Streep: three award-winning actresses who fancy themselves feminists with a love of strong, powerful women.

Yet, not surprisingly, these three gals conveniently chuck feminism aside in regards to three others gals (Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin and Margaret Thatcher, respectively) whose political views differ from their own. Somehow, I must’ve missed the asterisk providing an exception to the feminist cause: ‘Thou must support thy sisters – unless, of course, said sisters disagree with you politically.”

Barkin v. Bachmann: Barkin’s Twitter feed (which rivals that of Alec Baldwin’s in its unrestrained slamming of the right) repeatedly attacks conservative female figures. During the December 15th GOP debate, her vicious tweets revealed this actress is a feminist in name only. Blasting even Fox News’ gorgeous Megyn Kelly, a superstar network anchor and successful working mom (“This Megyn Kelley has more Botox in her f*ckin face than a 57 year old actress, Just sayin.”), Barkin saved her best sneer for Bachmann: “Don’t u just love when Bachmann says “When I am president…”? That’s like me saying… “When I am performing my next heart transplant….” Odd, one would think Ms. Barkin, political-views aside, would have more respect for a woman who: is a sitting member of Congress and presidential candidate, successfully raised 5 children and fostered a whopping 23 children. If Bachmann isn’t a poster girl for strong female women, I don’t know who is.

Moore v. Palin: Only a few days later, four-time Oscar nominee Moore, while interviewed about her upcoming hatchet job on Sarah Palin (the HBO mini-series “Game Change”), was asked if she’d developed a new-found respect for Palin after researching the former governor. The actress curtly answered, “No.” Again, how odd for a feminist to find absolutely nothing to admire in Palin. Politics aside, this is a working mother with five children who became governor of Alaska, a vice-presidential candidate and a superstar in the political world. Yet Moore found not one thing that impressed her about Palin? Though Moore does not tweet often, she did, curiously enough, find time to retweet Barkin’s sneer about Bachmann. One can almost hear the high-school-style giggling between these two so-called feminists.

Streep v. Thatcher: Perhaps most shocking of all is the lack of respect by Streep towards Margaret Thatcher. Surely, one would assume that, at the very least, every feminist would have some kind words to say about the grocer’s daughter who rose to become one of the world’s sole female leaders and the UK’s first female prime minister? Think again. In press interviews for her Thatcher biopic, “The Iron Lady,” Streep bestowed no praise on her protagonist. On the contrary, she remarked the film was about a life in “decay” and touched upon the “cruelty that was there and how she [Thatcher] came to pay a price for it,” giving no examples, of course, of said “cruelty.”

Unbelievable.

These Hollywood mean girls either need to step out of their snickering clique long enough to give credit where credit is due or turn in their feminist card.

What do you all think? Any other examples of so-called feminists attacking strong women of the right?

Donchaknow, Alec Baldwin was so awesome and open and funny and beloved on Twitter… until the American Airlines thing.

There was a slightly manic quality to it. Baldwin tweeted as if he couldn’t get enough of the hits of instant pleasure you feel when you tap out a tweet that gets a big response. It must have been a lot of work, and it earned him nothing but goodwill in return. Last week, when he found himself in the news for being tossed from an American Airlines flight after an altercation with an attendant, he was hit with a slew of hostile tweets. What had started as an amusement had become something of an addiction, and was now just a pain.

The writer is Jim Windolf and the denial is epic. Not once does Windolf mention the many, many nasty and divisive tweets Baldwin sent out in an effort to insult over half the country who want Obama out of office. Not once does Windolf mention the many Twitter wars Baldwin lost to those who had the temerity to challenge Sir Alec.

But wait, “Vulture’s” revisionist suckupitude gets worse:

Baldwin departed with a sense of drama, a hoofer to the end. His last three tweets comprised links to YouTube videos of Bernard Haitink conducting the Concertgebouworkest through the fourth movement of Mahler’s Symphony No. 9. There is Haitink, in tux and tails, his face bathed in sweat, swinging the baton to steer his players through the melody’s rough sea. Baldwin went out with the Twitter equivalent of a Viking funeral.

No, actually Baldwin retreated like the intellectual and sitcom-stah coward he is. Baldwin ran away to pout after discovering that outside of his Star Waggon, he’s neither worshiped nor equipped to defend his horrible political and social beliefs when challenged in an arena like Twitter where, unlike Hollywood, all men really are created equal.

And then when he was busted cold being an elitist dick to members of the airline working class, he suddenly discovered that without a publicist and sycophant entertainment media outlets like Vulture to protect him from the truth — that people really do think he’s a jerk.

Baldwin didn’t go out like a Viking, he went down like a spoiled punk and then slunk away like the cowardly bad guy he is.

**UPDATE: “He was beating the walls of the lavatory to the point that the captain called us to see what that was about. They heard it in the cockpit,” said one crew member on the JFK-bound flight who had to deal with the “30 Rock” actor.

“He was asked five times. Everybody is the same. Everyone has to follow the rules, it doesn’t matter who you are,” the employee told The Post. “He was violent, abusive and aggressive.”

Though they originally declined to comment, American Airlines has just released a statement explaining their side of the story as to why the notoriously temperamental Alec Baldwin was thrown off a plane at LAX yesterday:

Since an extremely vocal customer has publicly identified himself as being removed from an American Airlines flight on Tuesday, Dec. 6, we have elected to provide the actual facts of the matter as well as the FAA regulations which American, and all airlines, must enforce. Cell phones and electronic devices are allowed to be used while the aircraft is at the gate and the door is open for boarding. When the door is closed for departure and the seat belt light is turned on, all cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off for taxi-out and take-off. This passenger declined to turn off his cell phone when asked to do so at the appropriate time. The passenger ultimately stood up (with the seat belt light still on for departure) and took his phone into the plane’s lavatory. He slammed the lavatory door so hard, the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed, even with the cockpit door closed and locked. They immediately contacted the cabin crew to check on the situation. The passenger was extremely rude to the crew, calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language. Given the facts above, the passenger was removed from the flight and denied boarding.

What a jerk, and this is not at all difficult to believe, considering Baldwin’s history coupled with American Airlines original reticence to jump into this public relations firestorm. What the airline is doing here is playing defense after the left-wing actor used his Twitter account yesterday to play the victim.

In odder news, Baldwin’s Twitter account is now listed as Deactivated001.

The story might be far from over, as well. The ultimate outcome of all this could be an FAA investigation.

In many ways this story reminds me of the Anthony Weiner scandal, where a high-profile individual did something stupid and then compounded the error on Twitter, giving the story a life it wouldn’t normally have. And if the FAA gets involved, things will only get worse for Baldwin, who has a lot on the line. He’s currently the spokesman and face for Capitol One, and this kind of scandal is not the kind of thing “brands” want to be associated with.

If American Airlines is to be believed, this is the kind of boorish, elitist behavior that sticks to a person. Thanks to his success on “30 Rock,” Baldwin had just managed to crawl out of the hole he dug for himself after a phone message he left for his daughter was released to the public. And now the one-percenter has apparently pulled a Don’t you know who I am!? with some working class fight attendants because, horror of horrors, he was asked to follow the same rules we all follow.

What’s interesting is Kevin Smith, who just can’t seem to stay out of the news (I really wish he would). Via his Twitter account @thatkevinsmith the writer/director of Red State bitched and moaned about his zero noms calling the awards “#fakeindie,” which is absolutely hilarious considering that’s exactly what Red State was.

This is a good time to bring up something that’s been bothering me for a couple of years now. As someone who has made his way in the world all on my own and without the help of rich parents or family connections, do I resent the fact that Tim Russert’s son Luke has been shot by the cannon of nepotism into a job men twice his age and with ten times his experience only dream of?

Actually, no.

This is how the world works. Relationships matter and that’s life. I do, however, resent the fact that he’s not up to the job and that every time he’s on MSNBC talking about his Congressional beat I get “Bugsy Malone” flashbacks.

And just to keep the movie metaphors flowing, there’s also that whole “Vertigo” vibe, where Luke is Kim Novak and MSNBC is the sad and twisted Jimmy Stewart trying to creepily recreate someone they lost by dressing some wannabe up to look just like them. Whatever’s going on between MSNBC and Luke Russert. it’s not healthy.

And what better proof of that than this series of sanctimonious tweets from Russert where he laments how “sick” a video game commercial makes him feel because it doesn’t “reflect the costs of war”:

——

—–

Newsflash, Luke: Your dad was a giant and we all still miss him. But maybe it’s time for you to jump off his shoulders in order to spend a little time in the real world where those of us who have struggled for everything we have don’t need video games to teach us how the world turns and that everything isn’t hunky-dory. And not only do we not need a video game to remind us of the world’s ills, believe it or not, we don’t need you to tell us all about it either.

So if it’s okay with you, we bitter clingers could use a little escape now and again and kinda resent know-betters who actually don’t know anything trying to shove their ignorant political agenda into everything.

The “Two and a Half Men” star has vowed to suspend his Tweets after getting a cyber-earful from fans following his initial defense of Penn State football coach Joe Paterno.

The revered coach was fired yesterday in the wake of the school’s child molestation scandal, and Kutcher took to Twitter to share 140 characters worth on the matter according to the Los Angeles Times:

“How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste” (the tweet has since been removed from his page). The response, obviously, was scathing and before long the star confessed he was unaware that the firing came in the wake of a child sex abuse scandal at the school.

A Twitter mea culpa quickly ensued.

“Heard Joe was fired, fully recant previous tweet!” Kutcher later said to his more than 8 million followers. “Didn’t have full story. #admitwhenYoumakemistakes” …

… In response to the negative feedback he received, Kutcher has opted to take a vow of silence on his account until he can find a way to “properly manage” his feed. Adding that he felt “awful” about the error.

Good thing he’s not working on Oscar night. This ill-advised Tweet could have had real repercussions.
