Daily Gut: Murder Needs No Footnote

by Greg Gutfeld

President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act, which by some weird circumstance also includes hate crime legislation.

Now, I’m no fan of hate. Hate in all forms is ugly, even when performed by beautiful people (that’s a shout out to Stephanie Von Pratt, who turned me down for my senior prom). But here’s what I don’t get: If I kill someone, I’m a killer. But hate crime law says that I also broke a new law, one that has to do with my thoughts when I committed said crime.

hate-crime

So it’s a thought crime more than a hate crime. Which begs the question: How can a thought be against the law?

Now I can barely read, so I don’t want to get too deep into this, but if I were to kill my co-host Bill Schulz, whether I hated him or not, that’s a crime. But, if we find out later that he was a sequential hermaphrodite, one might say it could be a hate crime.

I don’t get that at all. (more…)

Nobel Peace Prize: At What Cost?

by Seth Mitchell

On Friday, America woke to the shocking news that Barack Obama had won the Nobel Peace Prize.   While there was universal agreement on both sides of the aisle that our President did not earn this award for any actual accomplishments; some have been trying to spin this as some sort of victory for America; not to mention labeling those of us on the right as terrorists for not celebrating this supposed victory.  The truth of the matter is that this award is a slap in the face to America’s history as a strong economic and international leader, and encourages behavior that will only embolden the terrorists with whom we are at war.

US-NOBEL-PEACE-OBAMA

The other night, Bill O’Reilly was explaining that this award meant the world would view America as a peace-loving nation.  Brent Budowsky, lectured the “talk America down” Republicans for attacking the announcement, saying ”this is good for America.”  TIm Kaine claimed that the prize was “an affirmation of the fact that the United States has returned to its longstanding role as a world leader.”  America is popular again; may we all celebrate with great enthusiasm.  If only there wasn’t that nagging question of what price President Obama has paid in order usher in this era of good will.    (more…)

Pigman’s Vow to Those Who Celebrate 9/11

by Bosch Fawstin

VOW 4 blog

In a world where men fly planes into towers and are celebrated as heroes by the vile culture that breeds them, we need a new kind of hero that symbolizes our battle against such evil. An icon against jihad who does the right thing no matter how bad it looks, and who brings an unprecedented ruthlessness to a ruthless enemy. A hero who is a great villain to all those who had a good day on 9/11/01.

Ready or not, here comes Pigman.

Burt’s Eye View: Some Townhalls Are Worse Than Others

by Burt Prelutsky

Recently, I had a very odd experience.  No, I didn’t wake up 30 years younger and with a full head of hair.  That would have been odd but nice, whereas the experience I actually had was merely bizarre.

Like most bloggers, I write for more than one website.  It’s rather like being a syndicated columnist, except that little or no money changes hands.  But, as a writer who hopes to influence public opinion, you want to have as many readers as possible.

The strange event took place on a Tuesday.  It came in the form of an e-mail from Jonathan Garthwaite, who runs Townhall, a website I’ve contributed to for nearly four years.

The message read: “Dear Burt: As everyone is painfully aware, the economy is forcing companies to make difficult decisions.  Townhall.com is no different.  We take our commitment to our readers and our bottom line very seriously.  Similarly, we are constantly reassessing our editorial lineup.  We end up making tough decisions that aren’t always fun. The Straight Poop On Radical Islam

by Burt Prelutsky

I suspect that because George Bush and Condoleezza Rice were so respectful of Muslims, constantly telling us that theirs is a religion of peace, some otherwise sensible Americans actually began to believe it.  Now we have a president who not only kowtows to a Saudi prince, but carries on as if Israeli homes are more threatening than Iranian nukes.

What is wrong with our leaders?  Are they worried that they won’t be invited to those cool Ramadan parties?  The Islamists have been actively at war with us for 30 years and generally at war with western civilization for well over a thousand years, and still we pay lip service to these people in a way we never did with Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan or the Soviet Union.  Is it because the Muslims commit sadism and murder in the name of religion and not country?  If anything, I would think that would make their evil acts all the more contemptible. Lonewolf Diaries: It’s Time to Flip the Bird to Tyranny–Flag Yourself!

by Steven Crowder

Yes, you’ve read correctly. Come this Thursday I will officially be putting a campaign underway for those opposed to nationalized healthcare. You need to flag yourselves to the Federal government. Make no mistake about it, there’s an information war going on out there and the good old Chicago politicians are trying to shut you down. Have you got the cojones to make YOUR voice heard?

Remember how upset Liberals (and even some Conservatives) were at “The Patriot Act?” It was an “invasion of our privacy and personal freedoms,” they’d say. Despite the fact that the bill was designed to gather information on terrorists and protect the American people (not harm them), I always understood the apprehension it caused people. It’s a slippery slope, and I get that.

On the flip side, however, we’ve got an administration that is NOT seeking out dangerous people with violent records, but proactively targeting American citizens in an attempt to intimidate voices of dissent. (more…)

Daily Gut: Secret Plans to Kill Bad People

by Greg Gutfeld

So according to the Wall Street Journal, the CIA had been kicking around a secret plan designed to off al-Qaeda chieftains – something the Democrats say they were never told about.

The actual program was dropped early on – either because it was a dumb idea, or it didn’t work, or maybe something better came along. What bugs me is that the plan was probably canceled because it actually could work – but having to disclose the plan would have endangered those asked to carry it out.

I mean, if your job is to sneak around the globe killing really bad people, then it should be kept secret – which is something frowned upon by people who don’t understand that beating evil means eradicating it. We call them asshats. You see them now, trying to score political points out of something that didn’t even happen (although, I wish it did).

Which brings me to a handy quiz you can take while you’re on a bus, a train, or perhaps even a plane! (more…)

Terrorists and Tyrants Go Straight to Hell

by Gary Graham

At the risk of earning my place in The Masters of the Obvious Hall of Fame… I gotta say it.  They’re not ‘freedom fighters’, they’re not ‘brave Jihad warriors’, they’re not ‘overseas contingency operators’…they’re terrorists.  And they’re evil.  True, they are going to ‘meet their destiny’ but it’s not going to be what they think.  There are going to be some very disappointed souls who come to find that everything they believed in, indeed, so strongly that they sacrificed their short, pathetic, deluded lives for…was a total lie.  They have an appointment with eternity waiting for them, but there won’t be 72 virgins for them to defile forever.  Or even for an hour and a half.  Nah, none of that.  Ain’t gonna happen.  (And as Dennis Miller once said, “Hey, 72 virgins?  I can see it for a while, but after seven or eight of them…I’m gonna want to call in a pro.”)

Nope.  Not saying I’ve consulted the Creator, but…I have it on good authority that that virgin-in-paradise thingie is just a cheap, bucket-o-baloney BS recruiting tool.

Psych!

So all you would-be jihadist bombers with a hard-on to plant the IED’s that are designed to kill our brave servicemen… hey, find something else to do with your hard-on, Sparky, instead of waiting to use it on those 72 clueless virtual babettes.  If you’re that lonely and pathetic and worthless, hop on the ubiquitous 25-hour Internet porn sites, take tool in hand, and work out three minutes of your destiny right there in the privacy of your mud hovel.  Keep the explosives at home!  Your imagined glory doesn’t give a sh*t about you and you blowing up an American G.I. won’t keep you from an eternity of teeth gnashing and anal herpes, so get your head out of your poo-hole, and go get a real job – like maybe something that helps people instead of kills them.  Just a thought. What Would I Have Done? — The Flight 93 Memorial

by Mr. Wrestling IV

There is a field in southwestern Pennsylvania, near Shanksville, where forty individuals — 37 American citizens and three visiting citizens from other countries — gave their lives to protect our country on Sept. 11, 2001.  They were not members of the US Military.  They were not trained in combat techniques.  They were ordinary citizens who said goodbye to their families that morning knowing they would be back home in a matter of days or weeks, not having one single inkling that they would be called to an act of heroism that day.  They were the passengers and crew of United Flight 93.  The humble memorial that has sprung up in that field to honor them is indescribably heartfelt and immeasurably powerful.

The drive to the memorial has to be something that one chooses to make.  It is about 90 miles from Pittsburgh, a city that the crashing plane flew directly over that day.  It is not something that you just happen upon, driving down the interstate, on your way to somewhere else.  One must seek it out.  And over 150,000 people a year do so.  I went there today.  I am glad that I did. Daily Gut: The Consequences of Incompetence

by Greg Gutfeld

So The FBI and NYPD busted a homegrown terror cell Wednesday - a group of four men who wanted to replace two Bronx synagogues with a crater.

(Thank God religion had nothing to do with it.)

It turns out that all the explosives they purchased were fake – supplied by agents pretending to be Al-Qaeda militants. Chuck Schumer called the group “relatively unsophisticated,” which I guess should make us happy.

But it pisses me off. Frankly, I don`t give a flying imam how incompetent a terrorist is. I don`t care if they couldn`t tell the difference between a Stinger and a stapler, the fact is – it`s dangerous and stupid to make light of their ultimate goals, simply because they didn’t reach them. (more…)

Daily Gut: Saving Face Vs. Saving Lives

by Greg Gutfeld

It’s always amazing listening to people who believe you must adhere to a set of standards when fighting an enemy who refuses to believe standards exist. Our enemy – who beheads the innocent, flings acid into the faces of children, and flies planes into buildings – must relish this endless opera of handwringing – for they know a worried adversary is a weakened one.

Lets get this straight: implementing enhanced interrogation techniques is not immoral. What’s immoral is not doing everything possible to prevent an enemy from killing the people you love. That one rule overrules everything – making the actions you take toward that enemy supremely moral – whether the acts involve waterboarding, sleep deprivation, playing loud music, or watching David Shuster. Daily Gut: Thank the Popping Doll

by Greg Gutfeld

If you ever needed to witness torture in action, check out Nancy Pelosi`s press conference Thursday morning. She squirmed, bulged, sweated and finally even tried to back away from the podium in a desperate attempt to escape. The best part, for me, was when one of the lapdog reporters – in an obvious strategy to gain favor from the Botoxed Barracuda – asked her about health care. It’s like during Hurricane Katrina, asking Bush if the pools will remain open.

Now I was at the gym during the press conference, where they only allow CNN on the tv. There`s no Fox News – mainly because it aggravates the yoga instructor`s rosacea. On the stair climber, I had no choice but to watch Pelosi with the sound off, and her body movements said more about what she knew than words ever could. Throughout the conference, she began to resemble one of those delightful popping dolls – those latex creatures whose eyes, ears & nose pop out when you start squeezing the torso. Pelosi, in effect, was in a tight spot, and it was delight to see the press – for once – use her like a grip strengthener. (more…)

One Man’s Colonic is Another Man’s Torture

by John Scott Lewinski

You’re going to have to excuse hard-left Hollywood types if they don’t get on board for the whole waterboarding thing. The concepts of forceful interrogations and the need to get dangerous people to reveal their life-threatening plans is as far removed from their daily experiences as, say, humility or well-reasoned arguments.

Most folks working in the entertainment industry live in pockets of Los Angeles in which they’re so warmly cocooned in smug, safe familiarity that they don’t have to worry about encountering so much as an opposing political philosophy, let alone a foreign hostile enthusiastically set on killing them. How are these actors, writers, directors, producers, et. al, supposed to take foreign terrorist threats seriously when the most they have to concern themselves with during their average day is whether that spa barista really did use soy milk and not non-fat in their morning coffee colonic? There’s More to Worry About Than the Obama Tax Plan

by Burt Prelutsky

In all of history, so far as I’m aware, there had only been two famous tea parties.  At the first one, Samuel Adams and a few of his freedom-loving friends pitched several crates of tea into Boston Harbor.  The second was the one Lewis Carroll wrote about, a madcap affair with the March Hare, the mad Hatter and the narcoleptic Dormouse, ganging up to give Alice a hard time.

All of that changed on the 15th of April, when a series of tea parties took place all across America.  Even I, who try to avoid crowds, attended a gathering here in the San Fernando Valley.

If you believe the creeps in the MSM — and why would you? — we were all dues-paying members of political fringe groups, and none of us would think about leaving the house without first donning our little aluminum hats.  If you believe Janet Napolitano — and how could you? — we were not merely man-created disasters like Somali pirates and Islamic butchers, but full-fledged terrorists.  Some among us even confessed to being military veterans.  (more…)

With “Taken,” Hollywood Inches Closer to Melting “Thou Must Whitewash Islam” Rule

by Debbie Schlussel

With “Taken” debuting at the box office today, we’re inching closer to the melting of the post-9/11 “Thou Must Whitewash Islam” commandment.

Since 9/11, Hollywood is taken with the politically correct idea that they’re not allowed to portray Muslims as terrorists, or when they do, it’s to glorify the terrorists and justify their behavior–that America deserves it and made them do it.  Or–a la “24″–that Muslim terrorists are always working for the American White man.  Instead, Hollywood, post-9/11, made terrorists and hijackers, everyone BUT Muslims.  There were Black Men with AIDS from Africa (”The Interpreter“),  Federal Air Marshals and airline stewardesses, er . . . “flight attendants” (”Flight Plan,” exec produced by my uber-leftist cousin, Charles J.D. Schlissel), White Christians (a number of movies and TV shows) and everyone else you can think of . . . except Muslims, who make up the majority of real-life terrorists plotting against America today.
