Palin: Hank Williams Jr. Victim of Media Double Standard

by Hollywoodland

Via the Left-wing Politico (we read it so you don’t have to):

“Hank Williams and what he is going through now, I think it’s a very clear illustration of a greater societal problem and that is the hypocrisy on the left — the liberals who can throw these stones at a conservative and they knowing that they’re not going to be held accountable,” Palin said on Sean Hannity’s radio show Thursday. …

“It’s a one way street and we’re always walking on eggshells, aren’t we?” she said. “You know, like, oh gees, if I say that is somebody going to misinterpret it or spin it as something that is quote unquote racist or sexist or anything else? But the other side … they can say whatever they want and nobody calls them out on it. I think it’s pretty disgusting.” …

Herman Cain Responds to Janeane Garofalo and Keith Olbermann

by John Nolte

—–

Classy response from the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO and GOP presidential candidate.

Bottom line, Janeane Garofalo doesn’t believe a Black man can or should think different from her, and if he does, he’s either corrupt (taking a pay off) or crazy (suffering Stockholm Syndrome); and that kind of thinking makes Garofalo the one with serious racial issues.

Of course, both she and Keith Olbermann have gotten away with this because our corrupt MSM is too busy screaming racist at those on the Right who use such sinister phrases as “basketball,” “food stamps,” and “dark clouds.”

Partisan Heartbreaker Tom the Petty

by Jeannie DeAngelis

In an effort to further promote the message of love, peace, and the type of compassion intrinsic to all dedicated liberals, Alec Baldwin, a paunchy comedian with anger issues, called attention to what he feels is Michele Bachmann’s inability to articulate by inarticulately spewing obscenities in the Minnesota congresswoman’s direction by way of Twitter.

Within seconds of Michele announcing she’d decided to launch a bid for the Republican nomination for President of the United States, it became clear that not one iota of liberal negativity toward conservatives has abated.

Over the past few days, the rock world has joined the fun by publicly stepping forward in an effort to send a message to the latest object of targeted political ridicule, Michele Bachmann. The goal is to drive home the point that liberal rock musicians disapprove of both Bachmann’s politics and her audacity in thinking she actually has a chance to send honorary rock star Barack Obama back to Chicago.

Following Alec Baldwin’s Twitter tirade, Tom Petty, a Mad Hatter in sunglasses, decided it was his turn to deny Bachmann, without explanation, the use of one of his hit songs. Petty is so anti-GOP he forbade Michele Bachmann from playing  “American Girl” as a musical backdrop to her announcement to run for president.

Apparently, the last thing Tom Petty wants to be associated with is writing the signature anthem that could accompany a female Republican candidate on the trip from Minnesota to the White House.  So, to prevent that from happening, the rocker sent a three-word message to Michele: “Cease and desist.” (more…)

As Budget Battles Rage, ‘Generation Zero’ More Relevant Than Ever

by David Bossie

The current economic crisis is not a failure of capitalism, but a failure of culture. Citizens United Productions’ film Generation Zero explores the cultural roots of the global financial meltdown – beginning with the narcissism of the 1960s which spread like a virus through the self-indulgent ’90s and exploded across the world in the present economic cataclysm.

Brought to you by award-winning writer and director Stephen Bannon, Generation Zero is the first film in the “Tea Party Trilogy,” which also includes Fire from the Heartland and Battle for America.  Featuring financial and cultural experts, authors, and pundits, including Lou Dobbs, Lawrence Kudlow, Tobin Smith, Victor Davis Hanson, Shelby Steele, Charles Krauthammer, Dick Morris, and Newt Gingrich, Generation Zero exposes the untold story of how the mindset of the Baby Boomers sowed the seeds of economic disaster that will be reaped by coming generations. Sean Hannity did an exclusive one hour special on Generation Zero, and the documentary has received extensive media acclaim. (more…)

Piers Morgan vs. Sean Hannity: Celeb Elitism Loses to Conservatism

by AWR Hawkins

When Piers Morgan was chosen to succeed Larry King at CNN, liberals believed his (overplayed) British persona might finally be the ticket to cutting into Sean Hannity’s domination of the same time-slot at Fox News.  After all, Morgan is a man of the world with all the open-mindedness mainline liberalism can promise while Hannity is a man of this nation who’s not ashamed to be mentioned in the same sentence with close-minded “bigots” like Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin.

Looking at things on paper, it appeared it wouldn’t be long before Hannity would be forced to come begging and pleading for a menial position on Morgan’s staff.

But a funny thing happened on the way to the actual squaring off of Morgan’s show with Hannity’s: namely, Morgan’s guest lineup betrayed the fact that he believes the American people want to spend another hour of their night watching Hollywood elites get tossed softball questions by a host who’s consumed with reminding us he came here from across the pond.

In other words, to date, Morgan’s plan to beat Hannity includes interviews with Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, and Kim Kardashian, among others. When we consider the fact that Hannity’s offerings have included salt-of-the-earth folks like Sarah Palin and down to earth commentary from the ever-present “Great American Panel,” it’s little wonder that Morgan is getting shellacked in the ratings. (Yes, Morgan is beating MSBNC’s Rachel Maddow, but that’s no feat.) (more…)

‘Tina Fey Doctrine’: ‘SNL’ Suspends Comedy to Attack Conservatives … Again

by Steven Crowder

Since the Republicans have taken charge of the house, SNL seems to have returned to its unfunny mean-spirited ways.  After giving the Obama administration a free pass, it must feel nice for the writers at 30Rock to be relevant again. New life has been breathed into the indignant court-jesters, who had been rendered nearly obsolete through two years of bending over, taking the administration’s piping and then kissing the ring.

They nearly threw their backs out.

—–

In SNL’s opening sketch, we see the truly talented cast return to the “Tina Fey Doctrine.” This Doctrine, responsible for SNL’s dark ages, gives priority to the given political agenda du jour, while resting “comedy” firmly on the backburner. SNL decided to open with its weakest sketch in recent memory, by attacking Fox News.

Major Failure ensued.

The talented Bobby Moynahan was set to impersonate Sean Hannity. Always a gamer, with a chubby, Belushi-like charm, I was sure he’d knock it out of the park. The pretty Nasim Pedrad was slated to do Michelle Malkin. Nasim is one of the strongest female cast members to have been brought to SNL in recent years, acting as a refreshing change of pace from Kirstin Wiig’s “I’m so repetitive and annoying that it’s funny!” schtick. This was going to be epic… (more…)

Jon Stewart Delivers ‘Two Minutes of Hate’ on Sarah Palin

by John Nolte

In George Orwell’s novel “1984,” on a daily basis everything stops for the Two Minutes of Hate, during which those in political control flash distorted images of their political enemies on a television screen so the populace can rage against them. Obviously, this is a manipulative, dishonest propaganda tool — four words that also describe  Jon Stewart, who yesterday served up his own dishonest Eight Minutes of Hate against Sarah Palin. Sure, he does it with a smirk, but the outcome is exactly the same. Feed the rage machine, feed the rage machine, feed the rage machine…

The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Mon – Thurs 11p / 10c

Essentially, Jon Stewart’s entire disingenuous complaint and subsequent attack comes down to Palin referring to the shooter as “apoliticial” and ”perhaps even left-leaning,” a perfectly reasonable statement for the Governor to make in light of what we’ve learned about Loughner over the course of the last week. Her point is nowhere near accusatory, she’s simply pointing out the irony of it all.

But Stewart isn’t interested in being reasonable or fair. He has a president and an agenda to satisfy, he has that day’s Two Minutes of Hate to serve up to the population, and so he drops Palin’s perfectly reasonable observation into his Palace Guard Spin Machine and, to the delight of the “objective media,” removes it, polishes it with some smug mugging, and then places it on the same moral plane as those who accused her of inciting the Tucson murder.

No, really, that’s what he does. Watch it again. (more…)

Country Music Legend Charlie Daniels Pays Tribute to Troops, Sean Hannity

by AWR Hawkins

When Fox News first appeared, America was introduced to Sean Hannity as the conservative voice on “Hannity & Colmes.” Since then, Colmes has been jettisoned, but the nightly show rolls on (renamed of course), and Hannity also hosts one of the most successful radio talk shows in America. Yet I do not think I go too far in saying that all these successes pale in comparison to the reputation Hannity has built for himself as “a Great American” and as huge supporter of America’s men and women.

Daniels and Hannity high five during 2009 Freedom Concert

Whether on television or the radio, Hannity frequently calls attention to our troops. And through his summers of “Freedom Concerts,” which he began in 2003, he has raised over $10 million for Oliver North’s Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund: a fund “designated for the education of children of U.S. service members who have been killed or 100% permanently disabled in an operational mission or training accident.” These concerts feature performances by Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Charlie Daniels’ Band, solo artists like Lee Greenwood and Michael W. Smith, and political commentators like Mark Levin and Oliver North, among others.

In a word, they are top-notch events aimed at one thing: raising money and awareness for our troops.

Country music legend Charlie Daniels has been so impressed with Hannity’s work for the troops that he recently wrote a “Personal Tribute to Sean Hannity,” wherein he told the world: “Each week Sean does five three-hour radio shows and five one-hour television shows, each one requiring research and preparation, not to mention the numerous speeches and other public appearances he makes. Yet [even] with…this hectic schedule, Sean Hannity devotes his summer family vacation time to do the…coast to coast…Freedom Concert Tour.” (more…)

‘Standing for Our Soldiers’: 3rd Annual Troopathon–Watch it Here Live, Thursday, July 1st

by Andrew Breitbart

Tomorrow, July 1st, I have the honor of co-hosting Move America Forward’s 3rd Annual Troopathon to raise money for care packages for our troops. The eight-hour broadcast, which will air live across the World Wide Web, will stream here at Big Hollywood, Big Government, Big Journalism, and Breitbart.TV from 4 p.m. to midnight, EDT. Please join us to show your support for our brave men and women fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere for our safety and for the freedom of people around the world. Here are the details from MAF:

The concept behind Troopathon is not a new idea, put on a Jerry Lewis style telethon to benefit a worthy cause, but a Troopathon is groundbreaking and innovative in that we bring together famous celebrities from radio, television, movie stars, musicians, journalists, and more to create a one-of-a-kind event with one purpose – to support our troops on the front lines in the war on terror and honor their service and sacrifice for our nation. Why We Clubbed ‘Glee’

by Kurt Schlichter

The liberal reactionaries are in full hissy-fit mode at Big Hollywood for its latest heresy, calling out Glee for its gratuitous – and worse, unfunny – slam on Sarah Palin as “stupid.”  Apparently, pointing out hackneyed liberal sucker punches lurking within tiresome TV shows is yet another cruel assault upon the helpless Hollywood community of visionary artists who only seek to help enlighten and uplift us unedu-makated, tea-partying, gun n’ religion-clingers dwelling in that small, backward portion of America located east of I-5.

Big Hollywood hater Patrick Goldstein of the Los Angeles Times jumped right into full “gotta defend our pals in the Industry” effect with a hysterical (in both senses of the word) counterattack supporting Glee creator Ryan Murphy.  The LAT, for those not residing here, is a small, local pamphlet of uncertain financial stability which recently reduced the physical size of its dead tree edition to about that of an Applebee’s menu.  Its innovative marketing strategy of providing its dwindling readership with even less content for their money has somehow failed to halt its downward spiral toward Chapter 11. Conservative Cannibalism: A Pattern of Unjustified Smears

by Lee Doren

By now many of you have heard that Debbie Schlussel unjustifiably smeared Sean Hannity.  Sadly, without Tim Mak’s great work at Frum Forum, her act of character assassination would have spread much worse than it already has.  Below is a quick summary video of her unjustifiable smear of Sean Hannity.  It is too bad that Hannity has to put up with people like Schlussel who simply have no conscience.

—–

This isn’t the first time that Debbie has engaged in such malicious acts.In fact, a few months ago she attacked Steven Crowder after his investigative video on Detroit.

She dragged Crowder through the mud, claiming he made up all his facts, and she said terrible things about him too.  After I did my own research, it turns out that it was Debbie who got her facts wrong and her hatred directed against Crowder was reckless.  (more…)

Feasting on Hannity: Cannibal Conservatives Aren’t Conservatives

by Steven Crowder

Health care reform, consistently dishonest media bias, a radically left Hollywood establishment; these are all but mere distractions to the real problem facing conservatives today… Sean Hannity. Haven’t you heard? He’s a bad man! An awful, terrible, horrible man! He steals… From Soldiers and their families! He also hates amputees. How deplorable! Who does this charlatan think he is?

sean-hannity

By now, I’m sure that you’re all aware of the attacks surrounding Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve also seen the thorough refutation of said accusations through real reporting and reliable sources (no, a friend of a friend doesn’t count). The bigger question at hand for cannibal Conservatives however is… Why?

At a time where we find ourselves staring down the barrel of a gun so large that it makes Yosemite Sam’s ACME revolvers look like pea-shooters, why are there conservatives who insist on turning the fight against their own?
The sad fact is that there are some “conservatives” out there who have carved themselves out a nice little niche through doing just that. It’s not hard to do, after all leftists love conservative turncoats. If they can have a conservative mouthpiece making their arguments for them, so much the better. (more…)

Frum Forum: Evidence Shows Accusations Against Sean Hannity Are Not True

by Big Hollywood

Frum Forum:

Debbie Schlussel posted a long piece last evening about a charity that Sean Hannity is affiliated with, accusing them of malfeasance and mismangement.

Frum Forum has done an exhaustive investigation of the charity in question, Freedom Alliance, and found enough evidence to substantially rebut each of Schlussel’s claims. I’ll approach them one by one.

hannity-head

Schlussel Accusation: Sean Hannity improperly benefited from Freedom Alliance by charging private jets, hotel stays and luxury cars.

Freedom Alliance’s press release today stated categorically that they have “never provided planes, hotels, cars, limos, or anything else to Sean [Hannity] … to be clear Sean pays for all his own transportation, hotels, and all related expenses for himself and his family and friends and staff.” We are satisfied that this is true.

It is true that Freedom Alliance spent $60,000 on aviation services in 2006, but there is no evidence that this was for Sean Hannity’s benefit, and it seems unlikely that the money was used to lease a Gulfstream 5. Rates for G5 aircraft average around $8,000 an hour. $60,000 would not buy much at that rate.

We have also been able to confirm that Sean Hannity has no operational control over the organization. Nor is he even a member of the group’s board.

If Schlussel stands behind her statement, then she will have to do better than a quote from a blind source, who is, as she admits, a friend of a friend.  (more…)

Slandering Military Charities a New Low

by John Ondrasik

I was saddened to see the recent attacks on Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance. All chariites should be subject to scrutiny and public information, thus, the Freedom Alliance’s recent disclosure should elicit a challenge or apology/correction.

hannity-head

Whatever one’s politics or agenda, slandering military charities is a new low.

Sean Hannity has always been a champion for the troops, including my CD For the Troops project.  Unless concrete evidence is provided that supports the accusation of misused funds, I, for one, look forward to playing next year’s concerts.

Burt’s Eye View: Fox and Foes

by Burt Prelutsky

Whenever I hear people outside the administration prattle on about how evil and biased Fox News is, I know I am listening to a flock of parrots who have never even tuned in. As a conservative myself, I have a number of problems with the network. For one thing, I resent Bill O’Reilly’s ridiculing those who merely ask for documentation that their president was born in the United States, and I also wish he’d stop defending Obama against charges that he’s a Socialist or worse. If it walks, swims and quacks like a duck, Bill, it’s a safe bet that you can pop it in the oven and serve it at Christmastime.

http://patdollard.com/wp-content/uploads/throw_bums_out.jpg

I’d also appreciate it if Sean Hannity would wake up to the fact that a lot of us change the channel the second that Bob Beckel shows up on the Great American Panel.

On the other hand, I wish that merely as an experiment a dozen or so liberals could be forced to watch Glenn Beck for an entire week. I would be dying to know how they would react after watching videos of Obama, Rahm Emanuel, Cass Sunstein, Anita Dunn, Andy Stern and John Holdren spouting off when they think nobody outside the room will hear about their plans to transform America.  They would have made Dr. Frankenstein blanch but put a smile on Karl Marx’s ugly mug.
