These kinds of venomous attacks from the Left were to be expected after Cain’s recent surge. Awful people. Thankfully, Cain seems unconcerned and will just keep on keeping on in the department of thinking for himself — which we all know is a hate crime if you look a certain way.

Daily Caller:

I loved Herman Cain when he played Mr. Gaines on a different World,” Hughley tweeted. This prompted other tweets by Hughley and his followers that implied Cain was an Uncle Tom and not REALLY black because he is a conservative who doesn’t choose to believe in Democrat plantation policies that keep blacks economically oppressed.

Apparently, Hughley was too absorbed in his racist Twitter banter to notice a recent Rasmussen poll that found Cain trailing Obama by just 5% in a hypothetical match-up.

Several tweets later, Hughley wrote:

This enticed others to compare Cain to the “original Cream of Wheat,” “Stepin Fetchit” and the “butler in Gone with the Wind” — all of which conjure up demeaning, racist caricatures used during the pre- and post-Civil War era to describe the “dutiful slave.”

It’s shocking that, in the 21st century, blacks would so viciously attack a black man because he didn’t agree with their politics. Martin Luther King Jr. would be horrified because this isn’t the freedom he fought and died for.

Even more surprising is the fact that Hughley hasn’t removed or denounced any of the tweets, particularly the one which makes an offensive reference to Sarah Palin.

Over the weekend, Nick Broomfield’s anti-Palin doc premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and according to New York Magazine it failed on every conceivable level. There’s an unwritten rule in Hollywood: If you want to succeed and please us, trash Sarah Palin. That Broomfield set out to smear Palin and still failed to win over Toronto says so many bad things about his film one can’t even begin to catalogue them.

Epic fail

NY Mag’s Vulture scores the doc as a Palin versus Broomfield political match and gives the win to the former governor by a crushing seven to one:

Mere months after the release of the Sarah Palin hagio-documentary The Undefeated, British provocateur Nick Broomfield (Kurt & Courtney) arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival with a counter-screed, Sarah Palin: You Betcha! The doc premiered Friday and it looks like it may leave Mama Grizzly–hating liberals sorely unsatisfied: Let’s take a look at Broomfield’s “revelations” and see which, if any, of his punches actually land.

• Broomfield’s drive to Wasilla through the icy Alaskan wilderness is punctuated by a soundtrack so ludicrous — ominous violins, shrill piano notes — that you’d think he was on the hunt for the Abominable Snowman. Once he arrives, Palin’s local fans turn out to be warm and endearing, not a bunch of raging hicks. Point: Palin!

• Broomfield successfully tracks down Mercede Johnston, the candid sister of Palin’s former son-in-law-to-be, Levi. Mercede recounts her brother’s harrowing memories of his traumatic, manipulative appearance onstage with the Palins at the Republican National Convention: “He said it was crazy. And they made him … ” — here comes the bombshell! — ” … shave.” Point: Palin!

And my personal favorite:

• Broomfield wants to show what a superficial individual Palin is, so he includes a sequence about her alleged plastic surgery and Bump-it hairdo. Ah, sexist and inconsequential! Point: Palin! …

Final score: Palin 7, Broomfield 1

Whoever thought it was possible for a Palin-hating crusade to flop even harder than the Washington Post’s pathetic crowd-sourcing of the Governor’s emails?

The Toothless Rottweiler

Big Hollywood has a fairly young audience so I don’t think the pluses and minuses of old age would much interest them. However, my self-appointed assignment here as Sarah Palin’s guard dog has brought me more than a few black comedy dramas as the toothless Rottweiler I am. The attack dog’s “growl” within me starts the second I hear or see anyone looking down on the former governor of Alaska.

Why?

I’m a survivor of parents who chose to have not just one but two abortions.

Learning about abortion at the age of 9 automatically enlists you in the Survivor’s Guilt Club. Toss in an ugly divorce and you have a domestic war zone with two, indelibly damaged “Survivors”, my sister and I. Add “Children of Alcoholics” and, well, we have a play by Eugene O’Neill and August Strindberg, plus Freud’s Oedipal theories running riot in a young artist farmed off at 11 years of age to Prep-School-As-A-Safe-Zone.

Further dramatic details of my upbringing are peppered through my memoir, The Haunted Heaven, available, chapter by chapter, at enterstageright.com.

I have, however, made it into my 71st year and am quite proud of the few achievements that have adorned my life and, thanks to Alcoholics Anonymous, I have made peace with my ten lost years as a drunk in Canada.

Though Sarah Palin is my heroine; Trig, her son, is my hero. I have always, for whatever reason or another, felt what Trig will most certainly be made to feel: “permanently challenged.”

One RCMP up here, after questioning me following a nasty, barroom ambush by four young punks that almost killed me, told my friend, “Michael Moriarty is the loneliest man I ever met.”

Hmmm … not sure that’s true anymore, now that I’m almost eight years sober.

It was true then, however.

A drunk fearlessness had driven me involuntarily suicidal. I always knew how to find the “bullies” in the room and I’d just go there and stare ‘em down. One set of them turned me into a basketball.

I’m reclusive now and have never been happier in my life. The few times I do go out, it’s with friends I trust and they’re there to stand between me and the curious who might just turn out to be closet thugs looking for a fight.

I meet such personalities occasionally in the comment section of Big Hollywood. I can usually ignore them.

If, however, they look down on Sarah Palin, I instantly become The Toothless Rottweiler!

Trig’s alive because of Sarah Palin and her husband and, in a spiritual sense, so am I.

I remember foolishly assuming that I was the child my parents wanted. It was somehow fed me that even two children, my sister and I, were considered one too many and one of us was the object of a failed abortion attempt.

That questionable privilege, I thought, wasn’t mine until a dinner in New York with my father brought my desirability on earth under profound question.

“I don’t remember whether it was you or your sister that we really didn’t want.”

I’m laughing now, showing all the gaps in my teeth proudly. Liberated rage, you know.

I survived my parents! If I can survive them, I can survive almost anything or anyone.

Trig survived because of his parents! No two people on earth are more heroic for me than Mr. and Mrs. Palin.

Add on to that the disparaging, elitist attitudes Sarah Palin has endured as a Vice-Presidential Candidate and still deals with subsequently and with divine grace?

Mrs. Palin is Saint Sarah for me.

The same diabolical calls for abortion that ensued upon Trig’s conception were echoed in the perversely feminist labels the Progressives plastered on Sarah Palin for being the Republican Vice-Presidential candidate. The thicker the flying mud aimed at Sarah Palin, the nobler, stronger and more beautiful she becomes in my eyes. If the rest of America knew what I know about being the survivor of abortion, they’d feel about Sarah Palin as I do.

America is now the truly endangered Big Baby. If the truth be known, she has been aborting herself ever since the Roe v Wade Decision in 1973.

Drunk on the privileges of Capitalist Democracy, she, yes, America, happily allowed the United States Supreme Court to duplicate the same act of surgical inhumanity they did when they legalized slavery with the Dred Scott Decision.

America has, for 38 years, silently and hypocritically applauded the Roe v Wade Decision legalizing the murder of gestating infants.

“Inalienable right to life?!”

Yeah, right.

I write angry editorials, send them in to my editor, John Nolte. Sleep on them and then e-mail John to cancel. Something by then he already knows to do.

Some of my articles, in the end, looked as toothless to me as my mouth.

They say George Washington had a rather unreliable set of dentures.

I haven’t investigated such an appliance yet. There are still a few teeth left in my head.

When I do go looking for a new set of teeth, though, and, after finding them, I have a shining set of “Pearlies” to blind you with? By then I’ll have a few concerts of my music to attend and you’ll see me there with a possible tan from my yearly stay in Italy, looking like the gorgeous has-been I am.

Yes. Only the performance of my music by a respected American orchestra will bring me back to America.

That and Sarah Palin’s Second Inauguration Ceremony as President of the United States!

George Washington will have had nothing on us!!!

I was terrified of the prospect of a third party candidate. A three-way, split vote might very well … if the third candidate were viable and interesting … insure the re-election of the worst President in American history, Barack Obama. Nothing would make James Carville happier.

Unless, of course, this third party candidate were Hillary Clinton!

Carville would be strapping on two Colt 45’s, lock n’ load, and mosey on down to the 2012 OK Corral right behind the Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton is now, if you don’t mind my saying so, Carville’s “Main Man”.

James Carville is not, if you remember, a “Judas” like former Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico.

The Third Party Possibility was a worry I had dispelled awhile ago when Glenn Beck seemed adamant about not running for the Presidency on a Third Party ticket.

Now we have James Carville absolutely certain that someone, so far unnamed, will run against both the Republican and Democratic Candidates.

“I think,” said Glenn Beck in November of 2009,“a third party candidate is going to win in 2012!”

Was Beck talking about himself then?

No.

Beck, in 2009, mentioned Sarah Palin as a third party candidate.

Is Carville echoing the notion?

Is Sarah Palin going to tie a can on the Republican Party, organize the Tea Party into an outside threat to both Donkeys and Elephants, throw the entire election into a cocked hat and possibly have Barack Obama re-elected?!

The prospect of Mitt Romney as President of the United States seems so much like a RINO’s Obama Lite … that … well … why not?! An utterly unharnessed Sarah Palin, letting, as Nancy Reagan would suggest, Sarah be Sarah?!

She’d win!!

If Romney were the Republican candidate, I would be begging Ms. Palin to run, hoping that God’s miracle would happen and we would have a President Sarah Palin in the White House.

Michelle Bachman, if nominated, cannot win. Chris Christie could but he’s vowed not to run.

As a Third Party Candidate announcing in September, Sarah Palin could always throw her votes to the Republican candidate, if indeed it were a viable conservative who was truly conservative and pro-Life.

If the Republican nominee is Romney, Sarah gets in the ring and takes on two male opponents at the same time, revealing how unsuitable both her opponents are for the Presidency.

Unfortunately, if Sarah Palin does not run as a Republican, she wouldn’t be there to defeat Michelle Bachman in the primary. Trying to defeat Obama and another female candidate in the election … well … wait a minute … Ms. Palin could actually and simply ignore candidate Bachman. Concentrate on Obama’s monstrosity of a first term. If she defeats Obama, she defeats Bachman.

Why?

Michelle Bachman does not carry the superstar weight of Sarah Palin, nor is she a Mamma Grizzly. Both realities will become readily apparent to everyone.

Let the Republican candidate and her Party throw their vote to Sarah Palin!!

America cannot possibly endure another four years of this Presidency. The United States would not be “transformed”.

America would be destroyed.

Never to regain its world leadership.

Ever.

Does Carville, a rabidly political animal, know something that even the Republicans don’t know about Sarah Palin? She would, indeed, be the most dangerous addition as a Third Party candidate. Her avoidance of declaring her candidacy until the last minute, possibly September, leaves us all wondering … yes … desperately analyzing what her strategies might be. As a latecomer, she’s not going to wear out her welcome, nor will she give away her debating game plan until the last minute.

Does she want to entirely avoid the Republican primary which now seems like what the theater calls a “cattle call”. There are dwindling distinction to being a Republican candidate this year. The list has yet to have the ring of a winning roster.

Today we learned that Sarah Palin’s bus tour is on again and headed for Iowa.

Hmmm … nice display of an increasingly unpredictable free will but clearly with a winning game plan behind it. Remember how her bus tour fooled the press?! Yet, at the same time, we knew she wasn’t keeping any secrets from us!

We know what she stands for and her arrival anywhere is God’s blessing.

If the Republican Party has not begged Sarah Palin to run in its primary, the Elephants deserve to lose their trunks.

I’d almost say that America deserves to lose her as a President.

That, however, would be like saying America should never have had the privilege of knowing President Abraham Lincoln.

I’m a disgruntled exile … but I haven’t lost hope. I still believe that God’s lightning could actually strike America twice with His chosen candidate.

From a Lincoln that ended slavery to a Sarah Palin who could begin to end wholesale abortions and any new forms of legalized murder that the Progressives hope to shove down our throats.

The divine promise of the United States hasn’t been extinguished.

Our homeland’s flame still burns brightly in our hearts if no longer in the torch of Our Lady In The Harbor. The Eastern Seaboard candidates of both parties seem corrupt, tarnished or not ready to run.

Sarah Palin is not running as a candidate.

She is walking slowly, steadily and carrying a big stick called The Truth.

Many of us know the essentials of what that is but hear it most clearly from Sarah Palin.

That’s the breath of fresh air we need.

Clarity!

And the triumphantly Lincoln-like grace of simplicity.

2 plus 2 is 4.

It is not, as our Red-faced, Ivy League graduates in the Obama White House would have us believe, 4.566022299999666 ………

Bill Maher recently complained that “We can’t throw around the word (sexist) just to stop people like me from point out that Michelle Bachmann, now running second for the Republican presidential nomination, is a dangerous nincompoop.” Hm, sort of sounds like the argument of “racism” used toward Obama detractors doesn’t it?

This video explains the subject in a little more depth:

I’ve been reading and sending link-love to Rotten Tomatoes for years now and have never seen them as partisan or even political before. They were just a terrific concept of a site that’s very well executed. Well, not anymore. Looks as though they’re just another member of the club. More childish nonsense from the Left.

From the indispensable Kerry Picket at the Washington Times:

["The Undefeated"] is listed on the popular Rotten Tomatoes movie review website as not only a documentary but also a science fiction and fantasy film.

Hopefully, Rotten Tomatoes will claim this was all just some sort of mistake. Nothing would be more fun than to write a follow-up investigating that theory with the full list of categories the Palin doc could’ve “accidentally” been placed under. But, you know, it just happened to be “science fiction & fantasy.”

Oh the sarcasm we’ll share.

Their best play is probably to blame it on a low-level staffer from a shady temporary agency who keeps to himself and tortures small animals.

Get your tickets here and request that your local theatre screen the film at the official website.

The impact of Steve Bannon’s feature-length documentary that tells the story of Governor Sarah Palin the MSM intentionally and ruthlessly covered up has already been felt. For the first time in three years the MSM is talking about Palin’s record — her record as a successful and dynamic Chief Executive of Alaska who worked closely with both Republicans and Democrats, took on her own party, and beat Big Oil at their own game.

The Undefeated Teaser Trailer from Dain Valverde on Vimeo.

As Andrew Breitbart put it in a tweet:

How #TheUndefeated Is Working: Tina Brown’s Newsweek cover story portrays Palin as Palin: http://t.co/xQRNgrH

Should the Governor choose to run for president in 2012, the urgency of “The Undefeated” will be profound. Regardless, anyone interested in a closing argument that proves just how biased and corrupt the mainstream media is, needs to give the film a look, as well.

It is a crime against democracy that we used to know more about Levi Johnston and tanning beds than the public service record of one of the most talked about and effective public servants of our time. The change that we’re now seeing in the media narrative is a testament to the power of popular culture.

The key to the ultimate effectiveness of a documentary like “The Undefeated” is more than just how many people see it or even who those people are. Certainly that matters to some degree, but so does how the very existence of the documentary changes the national political conversation. Naysayers of the “The Undefeated” dismiss the film’s impact by telling us that only Palinistas are going to bother to buy tickets. In other words, since the film preaches to the choir there will be no new converts. Intentionally or not, that’s a fairly simplistic declaration that doesn’t take into account how the film will impact the political news narrative — an impact that’s already apparent to anyone paying attention.

Thanks to the overwhelming publicity the film has already generated (along with the fortuitous combination of the email dump), for the first time since Palin arrived on the national scene her impressive record as the Chief Executive of Alaska is finally getting some serious media attention. Today in the Daily Caller, Rick Manning has an excellent piece that touches on this very subject. In an editorial titled “Will the New Palin Movie Sway Voters?,” he closes with this:

Right now, most Americans are desperate for a leader who will be unfazed by the entrenched big-government culture that pervades D.C. regardless of which political party is in charge.

Most Americans look at the crowd of Republican candidates for the presidency and yearn for someone with guts, charisma and accomplishments.

Most Americans want someone who they can trust to do what is right for America regardless of the political risk to their own career.

“The Undefeated” reintroduces America to Sarah Palin, a person who has the exact combination of qualities that Americans know are needed to restore America’s greatness and primacy in the world.

Sarah Palin has already endured the worst that her opponents can throw at her, and has emerged through the fire undefeated — the face of the non-Washington, D.C. establishment Republican Party, with a proven record of breaking through political cultures that serve everyone but the American people.

It will be intriguing to see if Americans can get beyond the Tina Fey imitations to re-discover the Sarah Palin who they fell in love with as John McCain’s vice presidential candidate. For our nation’s sake, I hope they can.

The story of “The Undefeated” is the story the MSM chose to intentionally ignore as soon as Governor Palin arrived on the national scene and became a real threat to their plans to anoint Barack Obama president. Today, without the film even having been released, we’re already having the discussion the film wants us to have and the MSM doesn’t.

In that respect, I’d say “The Undefeated” is already a success.
