Michael Moore’s Implosion Concludes With Some ‘Final Thoughts’ On Bin Laden

by Hollywoodland

No need to editorialize here. We’ll just let the man’s words, historical illiteracy and moral equivalency speak for itself. It took some work, but we were able to narrow down our list of The Stupid to 10. For context’s sake, Michael Moore’s piece can be read in full here.

Ladies and gentlemen, for this evening’s entertainment, quotes from Mr. Michael Moore:

1. It’s one thing to be happy that a criminal has been captured and dealt with. It’s another thing to throw a kegger celebrating his death at the site where the remains of his victims are still occasionally found. Is that who we are? Is that what Jesus would do?

2. There was no bloodlust euphoria on the day Timothy McVeigh was executed. We were silent. The families of the Oklahoma City dead were silent, relieved. What is the difference between McVeigh and bin Laden, other than the number they slaughtered? I wonder.

3. [T]he Taliban are Afghan citizens, not an invading force, and, for better or worse, they seem to enjoy the support of many of the common people throughout Afghanistan.

Michael Moore to America: Shame on You For Celebrating ‘Execution’ of Bin Laden

by John Nolte

Watch the video below and you’ll see that Michael Moore is really, really, REALLY upset over this. With all the problems in the world, all the natural disasters right here in America, all the famine and disease and tragedy — THIS is what Michael Moore’s all emotionally ripped up over today. Somewhere a child is going hungry, somewhere an American serviceman or woman could use a helping hand, somewhere someone is losing their home — and THIS is what Michael Moore is using his power of celebrity to call attention to.

What an extraordinarily revealing set of priorities:

—–

The video below, the second part of the interview, shows how badly the Obama Administration has bungled the post-mission narrative. If you’ve lost Michael Moore… As Jim Treacher so memorably put it: The Obama Adminstration took their victory lap in a clown car. The segment is also a case study in how the Left has learned how to wrap anti-American language into patriotic rhetoric:

Michael Moore: Plan All Along Was to ‘Execute’ Bin Laden, Funeral was ‘Bullsh*t’

by John Nolte

You’re not only able to understand people through their belief system but also through the priority of that belief system. With all the problems in the world right now, here you have an Oscar-winning, multi-millionaire film director who chooses to use his celebrity soapbox to defend … Osama bin Laden.

Excellent work from the Wrap:

The Oscar-winning director has been tweeting about his belief that Bin Laden should have received a trial, and his theory that Pakistan was keeping the Al Qaeda head under house arrest. TheWrap grilled Moore about his controversial views.

Is Obama lying about how Bin Laden died?

Common sense tells you he was executed. That was the plan all along. Just tell us that and quit treating us like children.

I have a lot of faith in Obama, but we’ve received three different stories in three days. We heard, “There was a firefight.” “He used a woman as a shield.” Now it turns out none of these things were true. He wasn’t armed.

Top Five Films That Michael Moore will Never Make

by Brian Cherry

There is a lot that a person can learn from watching “Scarface.”  While most of the lessons involve how to build a drug distribution empire, alternative uses for a chainsaw, and what not to do with your tongue when trying to impress a young lady, this movie also gives us some insight into the nature of Michael Moore.  There is a scene in the film where Tony Montana’s boss, Frank Lopez, is describing what a “chazzer” is.  Frank describes the term “chazzer” as a Yiddish word for “pig.”  In the world of “Scarface,” one of the traits of a chazzer is that “He don’t fly straight no more.”  This is the perfect description of Mr. Moore.

I am not calling Michael a pig because he hasn’t seen his toes since zoot suits were in fashion, or that he seems like the type who roots around the snack cake aisle at the supermarket like a hog rooting for truffles.  I am calling him a pig because all objective evidence points to the fact that he fits the definition of chazzer.  Michael is a pig that doesn’t fly straight.

OBAMA AND ME

Michael Moore first rolled onto the American scene when he made the film “Roger and Me.”  This movie was about the evils of General Motors and how the callous pursuit of profits by then CEO, Roger Smith, resulted in American plant closures and the unemployment of thousands of union workers.  At this point in his career he was very interested in what was going on with the world’s biggest auto producer (at the time) and how it affected the working man. Video: WI Public Union Member Slams ‘Socialist’ Michael Moore

by John Nolte

Something electrifying happened in my home state of Wisconsin Saturday afternoon, and not just Governor Sarah Palin’s grand-slam of a speech, which, contrary to Politico’s phony spin, was perfectly aimed at the smoldering and growing pile of Barack Obama’s failures. Something else I saw Saturday were the people I know and grew with, and who represent the very best this country has to offer. President Obama calls them ”bitter clingers,” Public Employee Unions see them as ”sugar daddies,” decent people see them as the salt-of-the earth. But after months of only seeing the Badger State represented by cowardly fleabagging legislators, community organized thugs, union goons, and crybaby public sector workers — what a relief it was to finally see the spotlight on those who make the world turn instead of those who think it revolves around them.

—–

Along with Governor Palin, Andrew Breitbart, and the Wall Steet Journal’s John Fund, these good people stepped right into the breach, right into the dark, ugly heart of what might be remembered as the Waterloo of community organizing.  Out-numbered by obnoxiously astro-turfed pro-union leftists enraged  by the gall of democracy to oppose the entitled class we call Public Unions, one after another, the uncommonly decent people of my home state (and elsewhere) stood up in Madison and spoke truth to profane, hysterical, openly un-American, child-trashing goons.

And other than Palin’s speech and my boss telling them all to “go to hell,” what you’ll see above was my favorite moment of an afternoon filled with favorite moments.

Michael Moore: 9/11 Terrorists Were ‘Criminals’

by John Nolte

How stupid do you have to be to not see 9/11 as an act of war? Willfully and intentionally stupid. And who in their right mind makes the fate of monsters a high enough priority to make an issue out of it, a crusade?

No compassion for the victims’ families who would only be victimized again by the media circus surrounding any kind of criminal trial and no respect for the rules of war or the integrity of our military to honorably conduct these trials. Personally, I’m relieved we still live in a  country where if a president wants to get re-elected he had better keep Gitmo open and hold tribunals. If it ever goes the other way, we are lost.

Roseanne Barr & Michael Moore: An Epic Clash of Ignorance Over Libya

by John Nolte

Essentially, what Michael Moore and Roseanne Barr are saying here (though she argues with him before she appears to agree on principle) is that America shouldn’t have gone into Libya because George W. Bush destroyed the trust the world had in us. And so, as a consequence, the number one priority for our Pentagon and military is that they should take a “time out” and stop doing anything until the world trusts and loves us again.

Translation? Sitting on our hands as untold thousands of civilians are butchered in the Middle East will help rebuild the trust the people in the Middle East have in us.

—–

I’m always impressed by how compassionate the likes of a Michael Moore can sound as he speaks evil. To him the Pentagon taking a ”time out” takes precedent over saving thousands of innocent lives. Moore can lie all he wants, he can say the French should have taken the lead in Libya, but he knows full well that the French are incapable of summoning the kind of military might necessary to do what needed to be done last week. There’s plenty to criticize regarding Obama’s stunning lack of leadership, clarity and commitment, but the idea of America standing helplessly by as a potentially historic Middle East uprising is gunned down and butchered, is unthinkable.

It was the same with these people and the war in Iraq. I had no problem with those who opposed the war before we went in. But once we were there, once the Iraqi people stood up and voted for our side, we had and have a moral obligation to stand with them until they can take over the security of their country. And yet, knowing the consequence of an American withdrawal on the Iraqi civilian population, knowing what the death squads and terrorists would do to  millions of innocents who trusted us, wicked people like Michael Moore and, yes, Barack Obama still did everything in their power to make that happen.

Michael Moore quoting Thomas Jefferson to justify his Marxism is a true highlight. Let’s just hope he’s right about unions being on the ropes. No doubt the low-to-no turnout at his astro-turfed Michigan rally earlier this month has the mega-millionaire feeling a little gloomy.

Obama’s War of Choice in Libya Angers All the Right People

by Greg Gutfeld

So by bombing Libya, Obama succeeds in pissing off his key supporters: the anti-war left.

Which shows you how naive the anti-war left is. if you actually believe a president will not go to war, because HE PROMISED YOU! – then you’re like every girl on Rock of Love.

Hopelessly disappointed.

And high as a kite.

People who campaign on peace, often wage war in office.

They’ll just drag their feet a little longer, which is what Obama did.

But I support the President because I try to be consistent on military matters.

And to be fair, so are some on the anti-war left.

Compare the currently angry Michael Moore to those lefties who, after reaming Bush for 8 years, are now oddly silent on Obama’s war. That’s kinda weird.

Anyway, after Obama’s behavior toward Egypt, he had little choice. Avoiding Kaddafi, after kicking a meeker Mubarak out the door – would smack of weakness.

But here’s why bombing Libya may be good: for forty years we’ve had to deal with Gadaffi’s vile mug. It may not be a “vital interest” to “get” him – but it’s justice.

Think of all the crap he’s done to innocent people, including Americans.

Lastly, the action angers the right people.

Unhappy With U.S. Military Action in Libya, Michael Moore Mocks … Bush

by John Nolte

If you read Moore’s tweets you’ll see that the Oscar-winner’s actually taking shots at George W. Bush. There is a joke I didn’t screen-grab about President Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize, but the bizarre shots at Bush might be today’s best example of the Left’s incredible ability to use what Orwell described as ”doublethink” –  ”the power to hold two completely contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accept both of them.”

The Other McCain wonders if Moore’s criticism of Obama’s makes him a racist.

Michael Moore’s Approval Rating Lower Than Bush’s During Last Month of Presidency

by John Nolte

Yes, you are.

Today from Rasmussen Reports:

Political activist Michael Moore was an Oscar winner several years ago for a documentary film and has made several high-profile films since then[.] … 48% of adults have an unfavorable opinion of him. Thirty-four percent (34%) view him favorably. These findings include Very Favorables of 13% and Very Unfavorables of 31% for Moore who was most recently in the news when he appeared with protesting public union workers in Wisconsin. Seventeen percent (17%) have no opinion of Moore.

Contrast that with what Rasmussen found during the last full month of George W. Bush’s presidency, December of 2008, when the embattled president’s approval rating sat at 35% – one point higher than media darling, “everyman,” Michael Moore. Of course, Bush’s approval ratings have rebounded since. He even beats Obama in some match-ups.

Stuff like this probably doesn’t help Moore. Or this. Or this. Or this.

Maybe now we know why the Oscar-winner’s last two films flopped so hard.

Guess what else is less popular than Bush during his last month of office…?

Michael Moore Brags About His Side’s Non-Violence. Let’s Go to the Union Thuggery Videos, Shall We?

by John Nolte

Michael Moore tweeted the below just this morning…

Can’t blame the union-busting, multi-millionaire Moore for being unaware of these incidents. The same MSM that created a two week narrative out of a Tea Party N-word incident that never happened, has gone out of their way to almost completely ignore union thuggery, all of which I managed to compile below in just a half hour.

Don’t miss the last one — a livid Moore declaring, “This is war.” New tone, Michael? Anyway, please watch the below videos and correct your tweets. I don’t blame you for being unaware of your side’s use of violence, racism, lack of respect for law enforcement and over all intimidation tactics. I blame the media. **NSFW language**

Courtesy of Mary Katharine Ham, Michael Moore’s Woes Extend Into Day Two

by John Nolte

—–

This is what I love about New Media. As Obama’s Palace Guards in media and entertainment have circled the wagons to protect the President from exploding gas prices, as they’ve attempted to spin the Wisconsin union debate into a “rights” issue and Peter King’s hearings into the rise of Islamic radicalism into a “bigotry” issue — New Media has been doing our own thing, creating a parallel narrative going after NPR and dismantling Michael Moore’s hypocrisy and lies piece by glorious piece

In the meantime, we won in Wisconsin, Obama finally had to address gas prices in his news conference today, NPR is taking on more water than the Titanic, King had his hearings, and Michael Moore’s now in day two of a fact-based blistering.

Today that blistering comes courtesy of Mary Katharine Ham over at the Daily Caller who destroys Moore’s lies, anti-logic and fuzzy math:

This week, Michael Moore offered a simple and elegant solution to our debt problem.

Calling the assets of wealthy Americans a “national resource,” he suggested our problems would all be solved if we could just have access to all that money.

“What’s happened is that we’ve allowed the vast majority of that cash to be concentrated in the hands of just a few people, and they’re not circulating that cash. They’re sitting on the money,” Moore said. “That’s not theirs, that’s a national resource, that’s ours. We all have this… we all benefit from this or we all suffer as a result of not having it.”

Sarah Palin Rips Michael Moore’s Union Hypocrisy on ‘Hannity’

by Hollywoodland

—–

Well, it looks as though Michael Moore’s had another not so good, very bad day.

After losing his collective (pun intended) mind last night on Rachel Maddow’s show over the all kinds of awesome drubbing Big Public Labor is taking across America, we here at Big Hollywood resurrected a 14 month-old ABC News story reporting on Michael Moore’s willingness to hire cheaper, non-union workers for his most recent film and deny them health care. From there, Governor Palin tweeted our story ’round the world, Michael Moore responded about as defensively as anyone could hope for (tee hee), and then later this evening the Governor and Sean Hannity reminded the world once again of Moore’s hypocrisy again on the Fox News Channel.

Michael Moore, last night you said “This is war!” and today you got your ass kicked because for once we agree on something.

Update: Hypocrite Michael Moore Now Desperately Tweeting Health Care Benefits He Offers Employees

by John Nolte

This morning at around 9:30am PST, I posted a flashback story written by ABC News in October of 2009 that revealed a more mercenary side of director Michael Moore the public never sees. My decision to post this was in reaction to the populist director’s appearance on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow last night, where he made something of a fool of himself whipping out a pair of handcuffs. “This is war!” he thundered, and then went on to predict that those in Wisconsin and Michigan currently using the legislative process to put an end to budget-busting collective bargaining, would eventually find themselves in handcuffs.

Well, according to ABC News, Moore was found to have made the choice to hire non-union crew while filming his flop “Capitalism: A Love Story.” Worse still, those non-union personnel didn’t receive health care benefits … from, you know, the multi-millionaire director of “Sicko” — an incredibly dishonest (albeit entertaining) propaganda film calling for Cuba-style socialized medicine here in America.

A little after 10AM, Governor Sarah Palin tweeted out the story and asked a very good question:

—–

And now we get to the fun part. Would anyone like to argue that what you’ll see below — Michael Moore’s series of desperate tweets over the last couple of hours, doesn’t represent a form of damage control in reaction to the former-Governor Tweeting our timely resurrection of the ABC News story? (And I have yet to mention this story about Moore pressuring his writers not to join the WGA.)

Flashback: Hypocrite Michael Moore Snubs Union Workers, Doesn’t Offer Health Insurance

by John Nolte

This article originally published at ABC News back in October of 2009, but for some reason it feels even more relevant today in light of this and this – and the hero Republican legislators in Wisconsin. Also, please read closely. Yes, non-union workers on the multi-millionaire, pro-socialist health care director’s film … did not receive health care.

Someone needs to slap the handcuffs on Michael Moore, no?

ABC News:

It was unclear exactly how many union or non-union employees worked on the film. …

In a statement issued to ABCNews.com, Moore’s agent, Ari Emanuel, said the filmmaker wished the union included more documentary crew people — but he did not deny that IATSE members were snubbed in favor of non-union employees. …

An internal AFT memo, obtained by ABCNews.com, added that the non-union workers hired for the film did not receive health insurance.

Livid Michael Moore Violates New Tone on Wisconsin Vote: ‘This is War!’

by John Nolte

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Ooooooh, if Sarah Palin talked like this can you imagine Rachel Maddow’s sanctimonious report the next day? I’ll bet Rachel would find that report so important she’d wear her smart-girl glasses.

If you’ve have never seen Michael Moore absolutely unhinged and furious (or whip out a pair of handcuffs) before, click the link. He’s ENGRAGED, calling for mass strikes, and encouraging students — YOUR children — to walk out of class tomorrow.

Union buster Michael Moore is so angry I wish I knew where he was so I could track him down and keep saying, Is the widdle girl gonna cry? until he did.

The lies Moore and Maddow tell here are breathtaking, audacious, and most of all desperate. There are also too many to list. But the handcuffs are my favorite part. Let me just say that when Moore whips ‘em out you’re not exactly thinking Baretta here. It’s such a pathetic piece of populist performance art, you kinda feel sorry for him. He’s helpless and feckless and distraught. he’s also pouting. And as well he should be. The Institutional Left had a pretty bad day today, and now that I have ashes on my forehead and the spirit of Jesus Christ’s love in my heart, I’m going to start doubling down on my small role in that righteous cause.

Hypocrite Michael Moore: Bloated Unions For Thee But Not for Me!

by Warner Todd Huston

With the spotlight on Wisconsin’s union thugs rampaging across the state, one wonders why it took propaganda filmmaker Michael Moore so long to put himself in front of the news cameras to take some of their publicity for himself. But this weekend, Moore finally glommed onto the cameras making himself out to be a great supporter of the union’s efforts in the Badger State. Once again, though, Moore proves to be a hypocrite. It was Moore, after all, that excluded using union workers in one of his recent films. Some supporter of unions!

Filmmaker Moore attend a recent Wisconsin pro-union rally and regaled the crowd with an address saying, “Madison is only the beginning.”

“We’re going to do this together. Don’t give up. Please don’t give up,” Moore told the protesters, who have swarmed the Capitol every day for close to three weeks.

Oh, he’s a great supporter, right? But let us drift back only a few years to 2009 when he was filming his last bomb, Capitalism: A Love Story. During that production we found that Moore didn’t hire union stagehands (the IATSE) for his film.

According to his agent, Ari Emanuel, Moore claimed that he used non-union labor because the stagehands union doesn’t “respect documentary filmmakers” or some such thing.

It made the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) mad enough that they refused all the free tickets Moore tried to offer them when the movie debuted. Yet here are these teachers in Wisconsin now falling all over themselves because Moore came publicity seeking in front of them. For shame that their institutional memory is so shallow, eh?
