A Modest Proposal to Reform the Congress

by Bill Whittle

You know how it is when you’re watching a slow-motion train wreck – Britney, say – and just when you are absolutely convinced it can’t get any worse… it does?

Congress has an approval rating of 21%. And when I heard that Harry Reid is actually discussing plans to sneak single-payer, National Health Care legislation not only past the will of the people, but sneak it past the lower house of Congress by attaching it as a rider to a completely unrelated bill…

…Well, that is an act of such unremitting and bastardly sinfulness that it simply has to be addressed.

I take a look at the four Senators and twenty-something Representatives currently under ethics investigations of one kind or another, and present to you, the American people, my Modest Proposal to get government back in the hands of the governed.

I’ll save the details for the video, but suffice it to say that the Whittle Plan, at $935,000,000 is not exactly cheap, but it is definitely a bargain at .0003 of the Federal Budget for 2008.  (more…)

Daily Gut: Plants

by Greg Gutfeld

So you remember Barbara Boxer’s attack on the townhall protesters, calling them disruptive “plants,” because they were too well dressed to be protesters.

She had a point: they were well dressed. And most protesters of the lefty persuasion are not–a marker of people who lack real professions allowing them to purchase clean clothes. Boxer believed that these outspoken, button-downed folks were all part of a right-wing plot meant to stir up anxiety, fear, and perhaps soup. And of course, yesterday, President Obama kept the joke alive  his own town hall meeting, saying he didn’t “want people thinking I just have a bunch of plants in here.”

How funny is it then, that when it comes to plants, the leftwing response is beginning to look like a spread in “House and Garden.” Michelle Malkin points out that the little girl that asked that key question about those old people “saying mean things” is actually the daughter of a major Obama campaigner, supporter and donor. ‘La Muse’ Review

by Mike Baron

Twenty-four year-old Susan La Muse has god-like powers. Actually, her powers surpass those of God since she can reconstitute dead people from scraps of debris and restore them to full health and cognizance. She waves her arms and AIDS disappears from Africa. Every internal combustion engine changes to electric (although the question of what is generating this electricity is never answered.)  She makes disparaging remarks about being a “white girl” while celebrating every other race. And she solves most of her problems through sex.

Straight sex, gay, bi, group, it doesn’t matter to the sexually omnivorous Susan whose libido knows no bounds. In her most asinine encounter, which becomes key to “world peace,” Susan pulls a train of skinhead Nazis who quickly see the light, accept their “bi-curious” strains and copulate with her and one another. Thereafter, anyone who views her sex tape becomes one with the world and all living things. And “Kumbaya” was heard in the land.   (more…)

Did You Hear the One About President Obama?

by John T. Simpson

You know, people, it’s a damn shame. I remember when great comedians like Richard Pryor and Lenny Bruce held nothing sacred. I know I don’t. And so many comedians, especially late-nighters, are really missing the boat with President Obama. There’s a wealth of material just waiting to be tapped, and I’m really not looking forward to four more years of lame Bush and Palin jokes. Are you?

All it takes is one person to break the ice. Example. Twenty years ago, my brother won tickets to a Journey concert in Worcester, Massachusetts on the radio. We rode a packed WBCN Party Bus out of Boston, but everyone was kind of uptight and kept to themselves, like there were cops in the crowd. So I took a risk and lit up a big fattie anyway. Within minutes, it was like a Cheech and Chong movie. You couldn’t see out the windows. Everyone was laughing, joking, hacking and toking. (more…)

Tommy and Nancy: Like Father, Like Daughter?

by Dan Gifford

A prominent politician accustomed to the bare knuckle realities of that  world once gave me what he said was the best advice anyone ever gave  him: When accused, deny everything, admit nothing and make counter accusations. That politician was “Big Tommy” (aka “Old Tommy”) D’Alesandro, a former Maryland US Congressman and Mayor of Baltimore. Today, he’s better known as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s father. And as I listen to her denials and counter charges about what she claims the CIA did or didn’t tell her about its use of “enhanced interrogation,” it occurred to me that daddy certainly gave his daughter the same counsel he gave me almost fifty years ago. Whether he would approve of her using his advice to undercut part of the national defense against terrorists trying to murder millions of Americans in order to cover up her  own apparent prevarication, ineptness or memory loss is another matter.

Thomas “Big Tommy” D’Alesandro is sworn in as Mayor of Baltimore in 1947
on a Bible held by daughter Nancy.

What I understood Pelosi’s father to mean was that the best defense is a good offense against those seeking your destruction for their own political gain. However, he must have recognized that political survival tactic had its limits, because “Big Tommy” was a man with a history of putting community safety and national defense first even at the risk of his own political career, a principle daughter Nancy does not appear to share. Response To Tim Slagle’s Response To ‘Rap is Crap’

by Ben Shapiro

At the risk of entering an infinite regress here, I feel it necessary to respond to Tim Slagle’s response to my “Rap is Crap” post.

Let me start by stating that I don’t hate all rap.  This is quality:

But seriously, as much as I admire Tim, rap is total garbage.  I’m a member of the younger generation – I just turned 25 – and I still think it sucks.

That’s an artistic critique.  That’s my personal opinion.  But what’s unchallengeable is that the rap culture, which is granted enormous deference by the higher-ups of both political parties, does tremendous harm to this country.   (more…)

PETA and the KKK (featuring Tom Cruise)

by Steven Crowder

This video was actually sent to the kind folks over at PETA this afternoon.  Sure they’ll probably be upset, but those chumps are so malnourished that I needn’t fear any physical imposition. Heck, I’m an entire “Jonas Brother,” heavier than any of their frail representatives. Besides, I don’t own any “animal testing” laboratories for them to firebomb, so I’m golden!

Note: No Animals we’re harmed during the making of this video. Their Thetan levels were tested (it was one of Tom Cruise’s conditions) and one of the dogs ate some tainted Peanut Butter, but nothing more.
