Lonewolf Diaries: The Case Against Canada & Hate Crime Laws

by Steven Crowder

Canada, it is a silly place. Yes, I was raised there, and yes I acknowledge it. Sadly, in recent years it seems that Canada has gone from silly to downright dangerous. This is particularly true if you are a Conservative or dare to ever even think of speaking out against the politically correct, sub-zero establishment.

LoneWolf

You’ve no doubt heard about Ann Coulters’ escapades in the Great White North. College leftists (who’d had no qualms with terrorist sympathizers speaking at their school in the past) were so offended with the idea of what Madam Coulter might say ,that they attempted to ban her from the premises. When that didn’t happen, the young Green-Day liberals decided to stage a protest. Of course (as is often the case with liberal protests) things got out of hand, with protesters becoming so unruly that the situation had become not only a safety hazard to Ann herself, but for the myriad people who were there to hear her speak. Woodstockers would be proud! So students thirsty for knowledge and debate have to deal with all of this hooplah because many Canadians forecasted that Ann Coulter might engage in –cue dramatic chipmunk– hate speech! (more…)

The War on Propaganda

by Chris Burgard

“The essence of propaganda consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to it utterly and can never escape from it.” Joseph Goebbels

There is no shame in artists receiving monetary compensation to sell ideas, products or a presidential agenda. When everything is transparent and contracted aboveboard, this is called advertising. When this process is whispered into being, strategized and set into motion from the shadows of government and from behind closed doors, it is propaganda.

From Sun Tzu to Psy Ops, propaganda has won wars, toppled cultures and changed civilizations. As a self-identified enlightened and educated culture, we  thought ourselves beyond such base manipulation. We were wrong.

Where were the voices of dissent on the NEA conference call when so called “artists” were asked to further the President’s agenda?

I have danced ballets and I have done commercials; one side art, the other side business. What side were the NEA recipients on? (more…)

Cockroaches in the Hospital on Your Chest

Since I turn 50 next month, I’m focused on my Bucket List.  There are only 2 things left I haven’t accomplished.  1)  I’ve always wanted to be “an airhead on a sitcom.”  Of all the roles I’ve played, many of which I wasn’t suited for, strangely, this one has eluded me.  2) Attend a weekly Bible study.  So, I am now in a Bible study group on Wednesdays and the rest of the week I pursue airhead roles, which basically means I wait…for an audition.  I get about one a year.  This year I got an audition for American Pie IV, but I turned it down because of the sexual content.

At my Bible study group this week I was sitting between Mavis and her Chihuahua named Pedro, and Sonia, an Iranian who lived five years in Russia, where she waited to receive her legal U.S. citizenship.  I asked Pastor Joel “Why does the Bible say Jesus was from the lineage of King David, if he had no blood from his father in him, since he was born of a virgin?  Pastor Joel excitedly replied, “Oh, well turn to Matthew 1 and Luke 3!  Mary and Joseph were both descendants of David as you can see by these genealogies.  So, the Old Testament prophecy was fulfilled that said the Messiah would be from the priestly (through Nathan) and kingly (through Solomon) lineage of David.  The blood of Mary which was from David ran through Jesus.  Oh. I always wondered about that.   (more…)

Acceptable Hate Mongering?

by Alvaro Alvillar

Yeah-I think I get it? If you’re a media personality of mediocre talent and dubious intelligence like…uh…gee, there’s so many to choose from? Oh, I know, let’s go with Janeane Garofalo now that she’s decided to be a spokesperson for the party of “love, openness and diversity” again. Anyway, apart from proving you’re not smart enough to keep your mouth shut, what happens if you’re a media personality of mediocre talent and dubious intelligence and you openly preach the most vile form of inflammatory hatred towards an entire group/race of people in today’s politically correct climate?

You get a pass and high-fives from the MSM of course, but why? (more…)

Hate Speech Resides on the Left

by Brian Jennings

I thought conservatives were the only group that was guilty of hate speech until I heard Jon Stewart’s rant on Rush Limbaugh.  But, that was preceded by New York Governor David Paterson.  And, that was preceded by David Letterman.  Limbaugh is a tough football loving brute, but even three libs throwing illegal chop blocks can’t take Rush down.  Odd how they accuse us of hate speech when in fact they are guilty three times this week.  Three strikes and you’re out!

First, Letterman said Rush was too smart to believe what he says and should be the head of the Republican Party because he’s tubby.  Second, Governor Paterson bashes Rush for announcing his intention to sell his Fifth Avenue condo because of high taxes and being audited ad nauseum.  But, those incidents were mild compared to the idiotic rant by pseudo-comedian Jon Stewart who tells Rush to “get the fxxx out of here.”  Stewart didn’t stop at that: “For years, for years, for years, New Yorkers have done everything in our power to get this guy to leave town.  We knew he was into drugs, so we cleaned up Times Square.  We even opened up a Disney store in the very place he would normally go to buy drugs.”  The reference was Rush’s dependence on pain killers which he openly admitted on his show facing his problem honestly and ultimately winning his battle.  But Stewart let his anger get the best of him and the hate spewed forth declaring everyone who smokes a cigar is a “douchebag.” And, then….”We outlawed murder, figuring he was a guy with a taste for it.”  (more…)
