Carolla Endorses Donald Trump’s Work Ethic

Adam Carolla didn’t exactly endorse Donald Trump for president today. But the podcast king did toast The Donald’s entrepreneurial spirit.

Carolla, talking alongside fellow “Apprentice” contestant Penn Jillette, says he and Trump may not see eye to eye on every issue. But the country would be in far better shape if everyone approached work with the intensity Trump brings to every project he starts.


When it comes to roll your sleees up, get to work, stop complaining, get our nose to the grindstone, I like that part of Trump … you can start talking about Medicare and Medicaid and social programs, but to me if everyone had Trump’s attitude of, ‘I’m not gonna feel sorry for myself. I’m gonna roll my sleeves up, and I’m gonna bust my ass and get to work,’ we’d be living in a pretty decent country.”

“That part of  Trump, that part of Trump as a president, I would endorse.

‘Man on a Ledge’ Latest Hollywood Hit Job on the Rich

You’ll never guess what the villain in the new movie “Man on a Ledge” does for a living.

No, Ed Harris’ character isn’t a crusading journalist, a nonprofit executive or a green energy czar. He’s a… wait for it… super rich real estate developer out to smite the common man. Harris plays him with all the requisite sleaze the Oscar winner can muster, which is plenty.

It’s Donald Trump without the unfortunate hair, but more importantly, the role represents Hollywood’s latest attack on the rich. It’s a trend already seen in recent fare like “In Time,” “Tower Heist,” and “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas.”

“Ledge” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told The Huffington Post that the film’s choice of villain is no accident.

Stewart Eviscerates Herman Cain, Trump Cries Racism

The Donald doesn’t make his case very well. In fact, I had to watch both his clip and the Stewart clip twice to understand the charge (you can watch both below).

My guess is that Trump is upset over the way in which Stewart’s voice changes at right around the 3:50 mark when the “Daily Show” host assumes the role of Cain while making a joke about the Lindbergh baby.

Stewart has been criticized in the past for mocking Cain with a “black  dialect,” and Trump has had to defend more then a few phony charges of racism created out of nothing by Obama’s MSM Palace Guards. Therefore, since he wasn’t given the benefit of the doubt, Trump’s probably wondering why Stewart is.

Personally, I’m not seeing the racism. Stewart just sounds like Bing Crosby to me, but I don’t mind seeing leftists hoisted by their own petard. Hyper-sensitivity and fascistic political correctness are of their own making, and Stewart is one of America’s top 10 Speech Policers.

I do wonder, though, how the MSM would react in the exact same circumstance if it was Dennis Miller mocking Barack Obama instead of Jon Stewart mocking Herman Cain.

Before Donald Trump Returns to ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ Americans Owe Him Our Thanks

For policy reasons, unless he won the nomination to challenge our failed President, I never would have voted for Trump, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t do our America a great service and at great personal cost. Thanks to this billionaire businessman/reality show host, the Birther issue is no longer something the MSM and White House can conspire to turn into a cynical political weapon in order to label everyday Americans as racist. Going into 2012, this is a huge tactical loss for Obama and his MSM Palace Guards, and we have Donald Trump to thank for that.

For doing the MSM’s job — for demanding a sitting president release a document reasonable Americans asked to see — Trump was unfairly held up for public ridicule and dishonestly labeled racist. And even though he deserved neither, even with the heat raining down on him from all four corners of his life, including those cowards in Hollywood,  Trump showed great courage in stepping into the arena and taking the fight directly to the White House in the face of unbelievable pressure.

And don’t ever forget that Trump won. Obama blinked and the Birther issue was disarmed.

I’m no Birther, never was. But doesn’t mean I didn’t see how the MSM and White House were using this issue to their political advantage.

Until Trump came along.

Adam Carolla Gets Righteously Indignant!

On his Wednesday show, Adam Carolla interviewed Andrew Breitbart to discuss Andrew’s new book, Righteous Indignation. Let me assure you, you’ll LOVE this duo. Andrew’s been a guest on Carolla’s show before, but this was hands down the most entertaining so far.

Check out some of the comments from Carolla’s regular listeners – not surprisingly, some aren’t exactly Breitbart fans (which makes it that much more enjoyable for me, at least).

Carolla tackled topics with Andrew on just about everything – from Righteous Indignation to Communism, the Left’s Racist meme, the racket of building permits and greenwashing, and unions, just to name a few. And a whole lotta LA, which, as Andrew illustrates for us, ain’t what is used to be. The two were on such a rant roll over our waning freedoms, Carolla, who has described himself as having libertarian leanings, almost sounded like another grassroots activist. Who knows? Sounds like he may just have a bit of Presidential appeal. Andrew certainly thought so!

“By the way, are you aware that the Republican Party has nobody running for the presidency right now, and if you had put that out there by mistake and people heard that, and that was your spiel, you would have gone up to Donald Trump level, you would have gone up to 17%?”

Let’s Face Facts: Tina Fey’s Palin Impression Getting Stale

The Presidential race is on. We’ve already seen the first Presidential Debate, and political comics are chomping on the bit. For the past three years, political correctness has forbidden Presidential humor, so when Fox News announced the first Republican debate, “Saturday Night Live couldn’t” resist the urge to satire.

Unfortunately, their enthusiasm might have caused them to jump the gun. Since last Thursday’s GOP debate was devoid of A-list candidates, “Saturday Night Live” didn’t have any solid characters to parody. So rather than make the late night ensemble work, the writers just fictionalized a debate between the more famous undeclared candidates; using characters they will probably be able to recycle during the upcoming campaign.

It was like watching a focus group, each actor trying out catch phrases they hope to use over the next year and a half. They even had Keenan Thompson resurrect his Jimmy “Rents 2 Damn High” McMillan character (personally I would think they could have gotten the real Jimmy McMillan, at or below AFTRA rates, which would have had the added bonus of making the skit funny). The Jokes You Didn’t Hear: Backstage with ‘Seth Meyers’ at the WHCD!

If you look over Seth Meyers’ IMDB page, he isn’t listed as a writer or performer in any of the high-profile celebrity roasts on Comedy Central. From his performance at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last Saturday, it’s rather obvious why. In a role that traditionally sends up the Commander-in-Chief, the closest Meyers came to skewering Obama was making a remark about him not being as inspirational as he was in his 2008 campaign, and, of course, turning it into a joke about how white the Tea Party is (to which the virtually all-white crowd applauded uproariously).

What really upset me about Meyers, and all progressive “comedians,” is that their kid-glove treatment of Obama isn’t just because they have a condescending view of him– that he can’t take it. If you listen to the rest of his speech, Meyers is a Racer– an individual who sees race and racism where it is irrelevant or not present at all– so, since he attributes virtually all political motivation to race, he avoids offending Obama because he thinks that, as a black man, Obama can’t handle a roasting.  Note how his Republican targets don’t include Allen West or Herman Cain; Meyers the Racer only goes after whites because he thinks that only they have the ability to withstand jokes at their expense.

Now, to give Meyers credit, the jokes he made onstage weren’t the worst jokes he came up with. Yes, that’s right; we’ve “Breitbarted” him with a hidden camera video sent to us by an anonymous celebrity journalist citizen journalist. We’re currently working on digitally doctoring all cuts in the video so that it looks like one continuous take without any selective editing (the lifeblood of all content at the Bigs), but before that’s ready, here are some highlights of the “jokes” Meyers almost used onstage:

  • So, have you heard about those Republicans? Yeah, I hate them and I think they’re stupid.
  • The funniest thing about Obama is how SO MANY people don’t get how cool and smart and physically attractive he is.
  • Q: Why did the blonde get confused by an ordinary household object? A: Cuz she was a Republican. And Republicans are stupid.
  • “Knock knock.” “Who’s there?” “Republicans.” “Republicans who?” “Republicans sure are stupid and evil.”
  • So, a Republican walks into a bar, and I get super upset.
  • A black man, a Hispanic, and a Jew enter a bar. They all say in turn, “Voting Republican would make us traitors to our races!”
  • So, what’s the deal with the Tea Party? Is it racist, or is it SUPER racist?

Van Jones’ Color Of Change Targets Trump; Demands Racial Loyalty from Black ‘Apprentice’ Stars

Color of Change is a Racial Indignation Machine founded by 9/11 truther and confessed Marxist Van Jones, who’s probably most infamous for being President Obama’s Green Jobs Czar before being forced out of that position after a number of very disturbing revelations about his racially divisive, radical past were broadcast at BreitbartTV and elsewhere. Since then, his race-baiting organization has led a blacklisting crusade against Andrew Breitbart using the community organizing tactic of pressuring any outlet that offers Breitbart a platform into rescinding the invitation. And they’ve had some success. Both ABC News and the Huffington Post folded like cheap card tables and it looks as though MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan might as well have.

Overall, Color of Change is on a desperate witch hunt to pressure media outlets and sponsors into silencing speech they disapprove of, and this is usually done through the irresponsible hurling of the R-word. Today they’re targeting Donald Trump in the most cynical way imaginable — through what can only be interpreted as some sort of obscene racial loyalty test. The Hollywood Reporter:

An African-American political advocacy group is targeting Celebrity Apprentice star Donald Trump in the aftermath of what many feel are racially tinged political comments made about President Obama.

On Thursday, the organization ColorOfChange launched a Twitter-based campaign to persuade black Celebrity Apprentice cast members Star Jones and Lil Jon to denounce Trump for what the group terms “race-baiting.”

Seth Meyers’ Generous In-Kind Contribution to Obama at WH Correspondents’ Dinner

Seth Meyers didn’t exactly skewer Barack Obama at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, unless, of course, you count suggesting that if his hair gets any whiter, the Tea Party will support it. Wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Ginnie Thomas, along with James O’Keefe, took more sharply edged barbs. (Full speech here)

“Side-note: I actually met James O’Keefe last night. At least, I think it was James O’Keefe. It may have just been a regular pimp who hated organized labor.”

“Mr. President, look at your hair. If your hair gets any whiter the tea party is going to endorse it. Ooooh, I’m going to get an angry voicemail from Ginni Thomas in 19 years.”
And thanks to both Obama himself and especially Meyers, the guy who’s been the biggest thorn in Barry’s side, Donald Trump, took perhaps the harshest shots.

Speaking to “Fox and Friends” the morning after the gala, however, the Republican presidential candidate hopeful fought back against the blitz that had left him at a loss for words the night before.

Was questioning George W. Bush’s intelligence racist — a phony narrative Letterman himself relentlessly pushed?

Was digging into Bush’s National Guard records three-years into his presidency racist and off-limits?

Letterman knows Trump is no racist, he’s just trying to chill the billionaire into silence and at the same time send a ‘dog-whistle’ to his showbiz pals to follow suit. They all watched Obama’s poll numbers drop as Trump went after their precious one, and now they’re hurling around the word “racist” just as readily as McCarthy hurled “communist” in order to shut Trump up and shut him down. 

This is nothing more than a variation of the showbiz blacklist of the 1950s; the creation of a phony charge in order to intimidate into silence and marginalize a political opponent.

Breitbart Punches Back on ‘Real Time,’ John Waters Steals the Show

Smitten by her blonde curls and still blissfully unaware of how cruel the world could be,  at the age of eleven I called my first crush on the phone fully confident it would end with the beginning of a lifelong romance.  Yes, I had watched many a friend go down in a flaming ball of fail in similar situations, watched them die slow deaths brought on by awkward pauses and fits of panic blanking the mind. But that wasn’t going to happen to me. I had learned from their trauma. There was no way anything could go wrong because I … had written a script that laid out every possible conversational scenario…

If you’re wondering how my pathetic little phone call went,  watch Laura Flanders’ sorry attempt (video here) to confront Andrew Breitbart. Methinks that the moment Flanders learned she would be on national television seated next to Breitbart, visions of liberal glory popped off in her fevered mind as she plotted to publicly demand he apologize to Shirley Sherrod.

Train meet wreck. Ooh, that left a mark. But the truth usually does.

I was in the audience last night (pretty sure that’s Alex Marlow and I clapping all by our lonesome at the 11:05 mark), and while the crowd (who took our solo applause in stride) was obviously on Flanders’ side politically, her humorlessness eventually cost her their sympathy. Throughout the night, she tossed out one wet blanket after another with her joyless left-wing talking points that violated the spirit of the conservation. Eventually, in the “Overtime” segment, Breitbart turned to her and said:

Does Hollywood Think They Can Bully a Guy Who Just Made the President Blink?

Mrs. Doubtfire, a Taxi Driver, a comedian from Brooklyn, and a guy with “Good Hair” are all criticizing Donald Trump, the guy with bad hair.  

While Donald Trump might not be America’s first choice for president, he sure is stirring up controversy.  Let’s face it – if Trump has the chutzpah to wear that hairdo, the guy could care less what anyone thinks of him. 

It surprises no one that Hollywood remains the bastion of liberal thought, lifestyle, and politics, and Barack Obama is Hollywood’s golden child. Barack even inspired Scarlett Johansson to utter the words “Yes we can.” As far as we know, even Bill Clinton couldn’t accomplish that feat. 

So when The Donald decided to take on The Barry, Hollywood quickly came together to take the spotlight off the Presidential debacle and place it squarely on the guy with the lemon-colored pompadour. On behalf of Barack Obama, Hollywood is – no pun intended – “black balling” the Celebrity Apprentice mogul for daring to question the President’s background.  

Hollywood liberals are fine with Obama’s failed presidency – his decimation of the economy, his unending list of broken promises, going to war in Libya, $5 a gallon gasoline and illegals streaming into the mother country called California.  What the Robert DeNiros and Chris Rocks of the world find inexcusable is Trump demanding to see birth and college records.

Angry Over Trump’s ‘Demagoguery,’ Jerry Seinfeld Takes It Out On Sick Children

Jerry Seinfeld cancelling a September appearance at a foundation run by Donald Trump’s 27 year-old son, Eric, that would benefit sick kids is pretty classless, but this is how the Left operates. They’ll do anything to get their way, anything to silence you, anything to intimidate –  even if it means bringing children into it. First off, the benefit is for the ERIC Trump Foundation. Secondly, the beneficiary is the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. There’s nothing political about this and the cause is obviously a very good one.

What Seinfeld’s doing here is quite calculated. He’s sending the message to the rest of Hollywood that it’s time to toxify Trump, time to shut him up by freezing him out. Or, he’s been given his marching orders by the Leftist Hollywood Brigade. Either way, the comedian’s excuse is laughable on its face:

“Jerry . . . feels this kind of demagoguery has no place in public discourse[.]“

Oh, does he now? Well, now that we know Mr. Seinfeld’s standards we look forward to holding him to them.

Donald Trump, as expected, didn’t take this lying down:

Donald Trump wasn’t laughing when funnyman Jerry Seinfeld canceled an upcoming appearance at a benefit for his son’s Eric Trump Foundation.

Seinfeld pulled out of the Sept. 13 event benefiting the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because he disagrees with The Donald’s questioning of Barack Obama’s citizenship, his reps said.

Donald Trump’s Celebrity Innoculates Him Against Obama’s MSM Palace Guards

The NCAA men’s basketball tournament is over, but the opportunity to see a well-coordinated full court press is not. Anyone who wants to can still see that kind of defense by watching the way members of the Left are positioning themselves to cut Donald Trump off at the pass.

Clearly, the host of “Celebrity Apprentice” has trod some ground no expected him to, and the strong reception to his message has the Left discombobulated (to say the least).

The first problem the Left faces with Trump is that he’s a known commodity. All of America knows him and, like him or not, they know he’s not a racist or a crazed member of the political fringe. He doesn’t pretend to be what he’s not, and he’s very confident in what he is. In this latter area he is actually reminiscent of Rush Limbaugh: a man who drives the Left crazy by remaining true to himself and actually knowing what he claims to know. (The Left hates certitude.)

The next problem the Left faces with Trump is the fact he has been a success in the private sector. Thus, were he to officially declare his candidacy, one of the first things Obama’s team would have to do is figure out how they can survive presidential debates where Trump will have the opportunity to contrast his real-world, business knowledge with the failed socialism Obama has pawned off as “hope and change.”

And another problem the Left has with Trump is the fact that he is not ashamed to say things other people think but never say. From asking why Obama has been unable to produce a birth certificate to wondering aloud if Obama is a Muslim to flatly saying Obama has given us “a terrible presidency,” Trump is vocalizing things many others are afraid to vocalize for fear of the backlash (unles you’re Chris Matthews).

Bill Cosby Refuses to Say Obama’s a Good Education President, Says Trump ‘Full of It’

I don’t doubt Obama was born in Hawaii and believe that he’s intentionally holding on to his actual birth certificate because it works for him as a political weapon. Obama knows he can count on the Palace Guard MSM — who have never in their history not demanded the disclosure of a document from a sitting president — to do his dirty work; to label anyone who even touches the issue as either racist or crazy (see:  ite-Media).

What does this have to do with Bill Cosby?

Some context: Prior to the interview with the Cosby (below), Viera had just gotten her head handed to her by Trump in an earlier interview that had the partisan “Today Show” host so flustered you can actually see her face turn red. Obviously, still bruised by the experience, she was looking to Mr. Cosby to make her feel better and call Trump a racist or something, but the classy comedian didn’t quite oblige. His main criticism was reserved for Trump’s will-he-or-won’t-he dance around his intention to run. The Trump stuff starts at the 6:40 mark, but make note of the awkward pause at 5:30 when Viera asks Cosby if Obama’s been a good education president….

While Cosby makes clear he personally likes the President and his family, rather than praise Obama as a good on education, Cosby talks around the issue in generalities about wanting to help America and all presidents to make education better. This is likely based on Obama’s war against poor children in the form of his cynical dismantling of the Washington DC voucher system. Essentially what we have here is a president happy to squander a few trillion taxpayer dollars on anything other than giving poor children a ticket out of the failure factories that define urban public schools (especially in DC).

Will Hollywood’s ‘Artists United to Win Without War’ Unite Over Obama’s War of Choice in Libya?

Hollywood loves war, it is their glory. War lines the pockets of Hollywood liberals while giving them a forum to moralize their position at the cost of box office totals. And war is what most Hollywood lefties turn to when they dream of marching the streets with blood made of sugar-water and red-dye number three on their phony hands.

In 2002 a group of Hollywood stars met to discuss ways to protest the war in Iraq. The meeting took place in a private swanky home, only an hour or so after President Bush took to the airwaves to announce the commencement of the military conflict.

The group — called themselves Artists United to Win Without War — with merry huckster members Susan Sarandon, Ethan Hawke and Jessica Lange speaking out from the east coast. The Grand Poobah of this rank and file of brilliant geopolitical-analysts was none other than Rob Reiner. The rest of the troops were made up by Sally Field, Blythe Danner, Christine Lahti and husband Thomas Schlamme (director of The West Wing), MASH star Mike Farrell, Dharma & Greg’s Mimi Kennedy, Bradley Whitford and then wife Jane Kaczmarek, writer/director Audrey Wells, producer Robert Greenwald, actress Fionnula Flanagan, TV stars Lindsay Wagner, Daniel Benzali, Sharon Lawrence, David Clennon and rising star Troy Garity, the son of Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden. (This group has grown to over 140 members.) It was announced at the event that the Barbra Streisand Foundation was donating $5,000 to keep the group going. I assume the donation was for the Russian beluga and Crystal served to these wealthy Democrats by the Venezuelan help on loan from Hugo Chavez.

It is in the very heart of Hollywood, as misguided and self-serving as it is, to march in the streets, to make movies about their positions, and to yell like banshees: “War is not the answer!” The problem with Hollywood celebrities shouting anti-war babble is their inability to ask the question, “Without war, where would Hollywood be?”

History Channel’s Use of Celebrity & Inaccuracy Ruins ‘America: the Story of Us’

The cable channel History’s latest historical venture, America; the Story of Us – a twelve-part, cheap-looking, know-nothing celebrity driven monstrosity that insults the most basic of historically informed Americans intelligence, ended it’s broadcast run last week. The opening episode was the highest rated program in the history of the network attracting 5.7 million viewers, with subsequent episodes in the 2.0 to 2.5 million viewers range.

Abraham Lincoln and P.T. Barnum (you know, “You can fool some of the people some of the time…” and “There a sucker born every minute.”) had it right. It was the huge amount of money spent on advertising that bought those ratings. Ratings of course bring in advertising dollars but to put it bluntly, dog feces still smells bad and is hard to shake off of your foot. This series was the historical documentary equivalent a big steaming pile. In fact numerous Los Angeles-based cable documentary producers have quietly expressed their disdain to me at the poor execution, production values and content of The Story of Us.

The Story of Us was produced by Jane Root an English producer and former Discovery Channel President and BBC executive. So a foreign producer not only got the considerable money for this show but also tells us about us from a decidedly British, ill-informed and surface, slop politically correct point of view. At a time when American cable producers are starving for work, History shows their true colors by enriching an English company with a major series on our history. Most of the terribly produced reenactments were actually shot in Great Britain and South Africa, standing in for the good old USA! (more…)

But In an exclusive interview with Big Hollywood, Ms. Prejean’s attorney, Charles S. LiMandri, who says that he and his client learned of the firing during a phone call from gossip site TMZ, vehemently denies those allegations.

“She greeted troops, ‘Fox and Friends,’ she was lined up for the Special Olympics this weekend. It is pure BS.”  He continued that neither the Miss California USA Pageant organization nor Miss USA owner Donald Trump had ever taken issue with the frequency of her media appearances: “They never said it was a problem.”

According to Mr. LiMandri, the real reason behind the firing was three-fold: His client’s beliefs regarding same-sex marriage, a possible book deal with his client (a deal approved by Mr. Trump), and the fact that Ms. Prejean refused to pose for Playboy Magazine or participate in a docudrama promoting same-sex marriage.  (more…)

Big Hollywood Exclusive: Miss California Speaks Out After Pageant Firing

Let me begin by saying I treasure the opportunity I’ve had to represent the great State of California, and I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the thousands of Californians, and other Americans, I have met and who have stood with me through this controversial firestorm. One of the many enduring things about being Miss California USA was the opportunity to get to meet and know so many wonderful people. I would not be the strong, courageous woman I am today without your support, and prayers.

I would like to thank Mr. Donald Trump and his organization for his support and defending me through the most challenging time of my life. I am so grateful for him, and the opportunity I’ve had to get to know him. I admire, and respect him. I wish Tami Farrell the best; I know she will do a great job.

I hope Americans watching this story unfold, take away the most important lesson I have learned through all of this: nothing is more important than standing up for what you believe in, no matter what the cost may be. I’ve done my best under the difficult circumstances to handle the vicious attacks with integrity and show respect to others, even those who don’t agree with me. (more…)
