“I am noticing that each of your plans to save money involves spending even more money.”

Remember this moment, folks. November 21, 2009 at 11:30pm. Over one year after Obama’s election and just more than ten months into his administration, “Saturday Night Live” takes its first crack at Obama for something other than not being left enough. Splash of ice-cold water here:

The sketch really isn’t pro-conservative as much as it’s anti-Obama. SNL mocks the stimulus, Cash for Clunkers, the debt Obama is increasing exponentially, and Obamacare’s bogus accounting, not to mention the fact that Fred Armisen’s too-cool-for-school Obama took the night off, but the writers are careful not argue for an alternative. SNL deftly takes a crack at one side without directly supporting the other side, a tactic “South Park” has down to a science. The sketch isn’t rock-solid from a policy standpoint, so we will post the clip of the CNN fact check once they air it.

SNL’s “Palin 2012” trailer after the jump:

SNL also took a shot at Sarah Palin last night with a satirical trailer riffing off of Roland Emmerich’s “2012” (which opened last week) where Sarah Palin’s 2012 presidential election leads to Armageddon. Yet, SNL flexes its cunning again by noting “Palin 2012″ is brought to you by the DNC and “the mind of Keith Olbermann.” We figure SNL either intended this to be a dig at the left’s obsession and fear of the Going Rogue author or their way of preempting attacks from media outlets, like, say, this one. Either way, well played.

The concept for the sketch does seem to fall into the “too good to resist” category, since “2012″ is the title of a blockbuster movie and an election year. It also wouldn’t make sense that an Obama RE-election would lead to calamity since we will have (presumably) survived his first term, so it figures a Republican would be the subject of the sketch. It’s far from a shocker that SNL chose Palin over other possible 2012 candidates like Romney or Huckabee. Still, SNL certainly has resisted dozens of obvious Obama jokes over the last couple years, so we’re interested to hear if you give them a pass for this one.

Though hailed as one at the time, the Beatles masterpiece Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was not Rock’s first “concept” album. Per John Lennon: “It doesn’t go anywhere… It works, because we said it worked… Every other song could have been on any other album.”

Flash forward to the latest cacophony from “spoken word” Grammy winner President Obama and his Lefty Health Club Band’s radical “concept” album, A Health Dirge Night; examine a few select tracks; and, recognize the reprised promotional chicanery.

The album opens with the derivative 8-track era chestnut, With A Little Help from the Feds. Here, President Obama’s Lefty Health Club Band warbles that a radical bill must pass – now! – because our broken health care system is in crisis. Why? Because they said so. Yet, while concerned with rising costs, the vast majority of Americans believe our health care system is good or excellent, and they are satisfied with their current plans. Why then did Obama’s band try to rush release a radical bill before the public could hear how it impacts their current health care plans?

Next, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Marx, features President Obama’s Lefty Hearts Club Band screeching that health care is a right. Why? Because they said so. However, a cursory review of the U.S. Constitution finds no “right” to someone else’s hard-earned money and talents. Because we are a compassionate country, America provides a social safety net to the less fortunate with the consent of the governed. Thus, the government must not misuse this safety net to snare all Americans into the trap of socialized, government-run health care regardless of their situation and personal choice.

Seamlessly, the album segues into the “Great Society” homage, Lyndon in the Sky on Steroids, wherein President Obama’s Lefty Health Club Band bellow that only a government run health care schemes’ massive intrusion into the free-market can lower costs, increase quality and expand choices. Why? Because they said so. (Stop laughing. They’re serious.) Nonetheless, much of the current crisis stems from government waste, fraud and abuse; and the costs of presently underfunded government health care programs are passed on to the bills of the privately insured. Further, the outstanding liabilities of Medicare and Medicaid already stand in the trillions before Obama care’s nearly half a trillion dollar Medicare cut. Does anyone in the sane center of American politics believe a third government-run health care program will fare better, let alone fix the other two programs? No. By focusing on “cost control” (i.e. rationing), the government will cut the supply of health care while inflating costs by pumping more public money into the system; thus, costs will increase, and quality and choices will decrease by government fiat and design.

Next up, Digging a Hole highlights President Obama’s Lefty Health Club Band crooning that only the radical intrusion of a government-run health care plan can fix our economy. Why? Because they said so. This does not bear statistical scrutiny. Over the years of rising health care costs, America’s economy has still grown. Yes, everyone wants lower health care costs; however, this does not mean that absent government rationing of care the entire American economy will collapse. In fact, we know government-run health care will add trillions in new spending to the federal deficit and debt; compel higher taxes on working families to “pay” for it; increase health care costs; reduce the quality of and choices within the health care system; and harm the American economy.

On the album’s closing medley, Good Moaning, Good Moaning/Getting Bitter/A Bray in the Strife, President Obama’s Lefty Health Club Band barks that all opposition to their radical health care bill is politically manufactured and motivated to preserve the status quo. Why? Because they said so. Still, remembering that the Left ascribes its own sins to opponents, it is actually the White House and Congressional Democrats that support the status quo of big government – unless they deem making it even bigger and more intrusive as “hope” and “change.” It is they who cut the deals with special interests to secure supportive media assaults for their radical health care scheme and, with the complicity of the Democratic National Committee, unleashed their own political astroturfers on elected officials and members of the public opposed to it. Stunned by the spontaneous reaction of grassroots organizations that existed prior to this bill, the administration and its blank check Congress intensified their smear campaign against their opponents, perversely sinking to the gutter tactics of calling them “un-American” and accusing them of waving swastika covered flags. True, these grassroots opponents must more clearly, civilly and diversely make their voices heard; however, they are not the cause of disorder but a symptom. The root of the moment’s madness is President Obama’s Lefty Health Club Band’s forcing their radical “concept” of health care reform on unwilling Americans. Tone deaf to the times and public sentiment, the President is not above the fray. He is directing it to foist a fossilized, 1970’s industrial-welfare state model governance on Americans’ health care, despite our globalized market place that empowers citizens and consumers.

Thus, unlike President Obama’s Lefty Health Club Band radical “concept” of health care reform, the issue is best addressed with prudent, targeted, multi-track reforms that use market forces to empower patients as consumers and increase the supply of health care to meet the rising demand and reduce costs. Such initial, obvious measures include the reforming medical liability laws; expanding Health Savings Accounts; providing tax credits for purchasing private health insurance; allowing Association Health Plans; permitting health insurance purchases across state lines; encouraging individuals to insure against changes in health status; incentivizing preventative health care; applying information technology to enhance transparency and increase efficiencies. All this can be achieved without trillions in new spending and taxes and government dictated, radical changes to Americans’ current health care plans.

For the less fortunate and most vulnerable amongst us, there must be an expansion of Federally Qualified Health Clinics, which will provide patients with preventive and routine treatment; end underserved people’s use of emergency rooms for primary health care treatments. Doctors and other health care professionals can be incentivized to provide their services at these clinics for either immediate or future considerations; and a “Project Navigator” program attached to each FQHC can assist the underserved in accessing the health care system. This approach is community based and will stand a greater chance of over time building true, community-based health care and empowering consumers, rather than continuing in perpetuity as dependents upon a government service. Finally, people suffering from “orphan diseases” – rare afflictions requiring a lifetime of special care – should be compassionately assisted through our nation’s social safety net.

Of course, such ideas are muted beneath the present political circus’ din; however, one true note rings out: on A Health Dirge Night, President Obama’s Lefty Hearts Club Band’s radical “concept” of health care reform “doesn’t go anywhere,” except down the tracks of higher costs, lower quality, fewer choices and lost jobs; its stale redistributionist tenets could fit on any nineteenth century socialist handbill; and, no matter how vehemently they says otherwise, it isn’t needed by and won’t work for Americans.

It has been almost two weeks since I have had a chance to write and a lot of things have happened in that time. Most of them evolve around the health care mess that may be the beginning of Obama’s fall from grace.

But, to begin, I have to do something that I never thought I would do and I never thought was in the realm of possibility. Based upon the knowledge available thus far, I have to give kudos to Bill Clinton. Unless evidence appears that he sold the country out or promised something to the North Korean government, he is owed a thank you for precipitating the release of two imprisoned American journalists. So, kudos are being given to a Democrat in this column. A bet a whole bunch of you never thought that would happen!

I wish I could say the same about anyone else in the Democratic Party. But, unfortunately I cannot. The Democratic members of Congress are currently walking around the country attending town hall meetings with their constituents and are holding scripted material with talking points probably written by the DNC or Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid on how to react to the brewing storm over the evil and hated health care “destruction” bill.

The Democrat propaganda machine has gone so far as to say that Fox News and Radical Right Wing Political Groups are planting crazies at the town hall meetings and tea parties to save the Republicans’ crumbling organization in an attempt to embarrass Democratic members of Congress. Has it even dawned upon the Liberal Media and the DNC, that maybe there is a growing grassroots movement against them? That, in eight short months, they have gone from the saviors of the western world to “business as usual,” in Congress.

And, most important of all, isn’t this Democratic Propaganda Machine now the pot calling the kettle black? It seems that after eight years of them using the same sleazy tactics on the Bush Administration, they just cannot believe that maybe this is really the people speaking. The citizens complaining at town hall meetings are not “plants” but a real grass roots swell. The people want their country back. The DNC is firm in their belief that the RNC would use exactly the same tactics as it has used in the past. Planting people at political rallies to cause a raucous is not only a DNC trick, but also the documented behavior of ACORN.

All the DNC should do is read some of the comments written by the readers of both right and left wing blogs. The anger within the country is real. The people of this country do not now and have never wanted European style socialism. In fact, even within the hallowed bastion of the Democratic Party, the “People’s Republic of Southern California,” there is a growing grass roots movement against Obama’s radical policies. If that is not true, how can you explain the mysterious appearance of posters depicting President Obama as the Joker (The Late Heath Ledger) with the word “Socialism” written beneath the image? No one would have ever believed this could happen in Southern California.

Isn’t Southern California the place were the posters ridiculing Bush, Cheney etc., became a national phenomenon? Isn’t Southern California the place where a Republican has not been elected to a national position in eons? Isn’t Southern California the place where a conservative must attend secret meetings so as not to fear for his/her career because of his/her political views? And, now, the first physical depiction of a growing groundswell against President Obama is appearing here in, of all places, Southern California!

Maybe, during the summer recess, the members of Congress will begin to get the picture. The first term Democratic members may begin to fear for their jobs as they hear the complaints about what they are doing. Maybe, this will be the final nail in the coffin of “cap and trade,” and the beginning of true bipartisanship on health care reform. Maybe, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will begin to get the message. Although, I am very sure that since they believe they are holier than thou, the gras roots movement could hit them in the head like a brick and they would never get it.

At this point, I would like to state a few things about “Cash for Clunkers.” This brilliant part of the stimulus bill has been an incredible success. However, our inept Congress has managed to screw this one up too. For example, the one billion dollars allocated to the program did not even last two weeks. It is now gone and Congress is scrambling to allocate another two billion dollars before the summer recess to keep it going. Secondly, there was no condition on the type of cars purchased under the program. So, Congress, in its infinite wisdom is spending taxpayers’ money to make the Japanese rich. Four out of five of the top selling cars under this program are not American. Big surprise huh? I guess you cannot get people to buy unwanted GM or Chrysler vehicles even if you are giving the vehicles to them.

If Congress was trying to give the American car-makers a back door bailout, they forgot the most important part which would be that Americans would have to buy American cars in order to qualify for the taxpayer funded rebate. Duh!

Lastly, I think that everyone obsessed with this economic downturn should read the following book: ”The Creature from Jekyll Island, a Second Look at the Federal Reserve“ by G. Edward Griffin. Although it may have a little too much conspiracy theory spin, it is a good read and explains the monetary system of the United States in the clearest manner I have seen to date. It also may cause you to believe that going back to gold and/or silver standard may be the way to go.

Every article you read these days from the liberal media has a very clear message: the Republican Party is dead and should be buried. Conservatism is in shambles. The Democrats have the upper hand and the correct solution for the country. Tax and Spend is working. The Stimulus is working. Foreign powers love us. All is happy in liberal land.

I beg to differ. In fact, I believe the evidence is stronger each day that the Republican Party is making inroads into the Democratic “majority.” The election happened and Obama and the Democrats are in power. We have to live with that for another 18 months. But when one looks at the trends a new picture begins to develop.

All evidence indicates that the country is going the other way and still leans center-right. Look at what happened in Virginia yesterday. In a hotly contested Democratic primary for governor, R. Creigh Deeds, a conservative Democrat, whooped an ex-head of the DNC and staunch supporter of the Clintons. Deeds is about as far to the right as the Democratic Party gets. He is so pro-gun that he supports concealed weapons in bars and nightclubs. I’m not even sure if I go that far.

Why did Deeds get the nomination? Well, according to every article and news report, it is because the Virginia Democrats are afraid of losing the governorship in November to the Republican candidate. Robert McDonnell is a staunch Republican Conservative and the Virginia populace is definitely to the right regardless of whether the state went with Obama. A liberal Democrat is never going to win Virginia right now and probably never.

Another example can be seen by the current events in the New York Legislature. The Democrats which have had control of the New York Senate for as long as anyone can remember have physically locked the chamber to keep the new majority Republicans from enacting any legislation. How has this happened? Well, two members of the Senate switched sides tipping the scales in favor of the Republicans. The Democrats, according to Governor Patterson, a Democrat, are now acting like children and have physically taken the keys to the chamber to stop the Republicans from doing anything. In fact, they are refusing to recognize that two of their brethren have abandoned them.

Speaking of Governor Patterson maybe we should talk about his approval rating for a minute. This is the man that became governor after Eliot Spitzer resigned in disgrace about a year ago for being the typical Democratic hypocrite. He “played” with the people he took on. Governor Patterson’s approval ratings are so low that some people believe that a Republican may actually have a chance to win New York. That would be only the second Republican to hold office in New York since 1975. The last, George Pataki, took power during the Republican revolution in the mid-nineties and barely lasted two terms.

What would happen if New York gets a Republican governor in the next election cycle? With California currently having a Republican governor and a strong potential candidate in Meg Whitman, the top two states would be Republican. If you factor in Texas and Florida which are third and fourth in population, and both of which have Republican incumbents, you would have approximately 32% of the US Population controlled by Republican governors in just four states. To me that doesn’t sound like a dead party! Rather, it sounds like one that has the potential for a strong majority.

On the national front, Nancy Pelosi’s current popularity is at the lowest it’s ever been. According to a Gallup poll released on Friday, Pelosi’s ratings are currently at 34%. If I’m not mistaken, these are lower than President Bush’s at the end of his administration. In fact, the same poll showed that Ex Vice President Dick Cheney’s popularity is actually higher at 37%. Eight months ago, this was one of the most disliked men in the country. I guess that speech he gave a few weeks ago on National Security and the effects of 9/11 made a lot of the population think.

One of the most important facts about these poll numbers is where the change is actually coming from. Both Ms. Pelosi’s fall and Mr. Cheney’s rise are directly related to a change in independent electorate which went strongly Democratic last November. And, we all know that is where elections are won.

Just yesterday, the Obama spin started on the stimulus package. The President stopped talking about creating jobs and started talking about saving jobs. How will anyone prove the accuracy of his statement yesterday that 150,000 jobs were saved as a result of the stimulus package so far? Last month the economy lost more than 500,000 jobs net. That’s a loss, plain and simple. When that number turns around and there is job growth in a month, then he can start to claim credit. But, by saying that 150,000 jobs were saved last month, he is making it look like the stimulus worked when there is no proof one way or the other. It’s spin, pure and simple.

Newt Gingrich, it seems, is already running for President and his popularity is growing. At a conference in the past few days, he stated that Obama has already failed. And, he is strongly criticizing Ms. Sotomayor. Maybe, the American public is beginning to agree. For the first time, the President’s approval rating has sunk below 60%. I predict it will be teetering around 50% by the end of the year.

Jon Voight publicly stated at the same conference that he is embarrassed by the President and that the President will cause the downfall of this country. Jon Voight, who in my opinion is a great American, should probably think about running for Congress. I am still moved by his Memorial Day comments about Hollywood being in a sorry state when it cared more about Earth Day than Memorial Day.

Why is this change happening so shortly after the “Democratic Revolution?” I can answer that one, but it would take a book. To put it simply, the American people are beginning to see this Administration for what it is: A return to the failed policies of Jimmy Carter and Democrats of the seventies. Weakness in Foreign Affairs and out-of-control spending will not sit with the American electorate at either the national or state level. And, unfortunately, that is what the first five months of President Obama’s Administration has brought. And, unfortunately, that appears to be what the future will bring as well.

Most 12-step programs start out by requiring that people understand that they’re powerless over their addiction and that only by turning their lives over to a Power greater than themselves can they be restored to sanity. Far be it for me to suggest that I am that Power, but clearly someone has to step in and try to rescue these poor liberal souls. Even the most harebrained among them deserves that much.

First, though, they have to acknowledge that Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, John Murtha, Dick Durbin, Charles Rangel, Harry Reid and Charles Schumer, are not moderates, but, rather, leftists with a Socialist agenda. Furthermore, they must recognize that the New York Times, the Washington Post, the L.A. Times, CNN, the three major networks, the news magazines and the New Yorker, are not objective in their reporting of political events, and neither are Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher, in their commentary. If these entities and individuals are not on the payroll of the DNC, they certainly should be. They certainly put in longer hours than Howard Dean.

Step #1: It is high time that every American be guaranteed the right to speak freely. It is not reserved solely for left-wing college students who wish to take advantage of the first amendment to shout down conservatives. At the same time, they must not construe the conservative’s right to dismiss them as arrogant idiots as censorship.

Step #2: Affirmative action argues that African Americans and Latinos are intellectually inferior and are unable to compete academically unless other students are handicapped because of their race. Interestingly enough, when blacks and Hispanic students are given these unfair advantages, it’s rarely at any cost to white students, whose rate of college admissions remains constant; instead, it’s nearly always another minority group, Asians, who pay the price. This is what left-wingers refer to as leveling the playing field.

Step #3: Liberals always claim to be in favor of higher taxes, agreeing with Bill Clinton that the government invariably spends money more wisely than those who actually earn it. However, such prominent proponents of higher taxes as George Soros, Ted Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. John Kerry, protect their own otherwise taxable income through trusts and offshore accounts. Obviously, any American who believes higher taxes are a good thing can do the honorable thing by spurning all deductions and paying Uncle Sam everything up to 100% of his income.

Step #4: Even the most secular of liberals seems to believe that Jimmy Carter is a saint. The evidence for this seems to be that he has on occasion posed with a hammer in his hand at Habitat for Humanity building sites and is constantly walking around with a expression on his face that suggests he has just forgiven Pontius Pilate for betraying him. This is the same fellow, let us never forget, who called Yasser Arafat his good friend and who has accepted untold millions of dollars from Arab cut-throats, who ask nothing in return except that he go on insisting that there would be peace in the Middle East if only those darn Israelis would disappear from the face of the earth.

Step #5: Stop insisting that all wars are bad. It only makes you sound daft. Carrying signs that equate a U.S. president, any U.S. president, with Adolph Hitler is not only rude, but suggests you’re certifiably nuts. Every president has left office right on schedule. Aside from FDR, who just happened to get elected four times, not one of them has remained in office beyond eight years. On the other hand, Hitler ran Germany for 12 years and only death and the allied forces brought that to an end; Stalin ran the Soviet show for 31 years; while that hero of the left, Fidel Castro, held the reins, not to mention the whip, for about 50 years.

Step #6: Repeat after me, “Separation of church and state” exists nowhere in the Constitution. The first amendment does not require the removal of Christmas trees from the village green, the 10 Commandments from courthouse walls or “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance. All it does is forbid Congress from establishing a state religion, such as the Church of England, and anybody who tells you otherwise is a liar and, most likely, a card-carrying member of the ACLU.

Step #7: Stop using the word “big” as a pejorative. There is nothing intrinsically bad about big oil, big agriculture or big pharmaceuticals. Overall, they do a very good job of keeping our cars on the road, food on our tables and most of us over 60 alive and functioning. On the other hand, big government, which so many liberals simply adore, represents a usurpation of the allegedly inalienable rights of individuals. A quick perusal of the Constitution should convince you that beyond declaring war, forging treaties, overseeing patents, printing money, running the post office, collecting taxes and protecting our borders — and a few other things that Washington doesn’t do at all well these days — the federal government has very limited responsibilities.

Step #8: Acknowledge that the United Nations is, in the main, an aggregation of venal diplomats who live high off the hog in New York City while representing the most corrupt and vicious regimes in the history of the world. Only a fool or a diplomat would continue to suggest that this gang of well-dressed thugs possesses anything resembling moral authority.

Step #9: Do not keep insisting that at a time when nearly all the large scale evil in the world is being perpetrated by Muslims that racial profiling is anything but a sensible approach to airport security. During WWII, Swedish Americans were not suspected of performing espionage for the Axis powers and for a very good reason; namely, because they weren’t performing espionage for the Axis powers. These days, their Swedish American children and grandchildren are not suspected of trying to blow up airlines, but the smarmy bureaucrats insist on pretending that they’re every bit as likely to be up to mischief as a bunch of 25-year-old Osama bin Laden look-alikes from Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Step #10: Stop trying to pretend that illegal aliens are the same as legal immigrants just so you can claim the moral high ground and accuse those of us who are opposed to open borders of being racists.

Step #11: Once and for all, stop forgiving murderers. Whether or not you’re in favor of capital punishment, only the victim of a crime has the right to grant forgiveness. And inasmuch as the killer has deprived his victim of that ability, don’t take it upon yourself. It doesn’t prove how compassionate you are, only that you’re as sanctimonious and as self-aggrandizing as, say, Jimmy Carter.

Step #12: Stop bashing the U.S. military and the Boy Scouts. The only reason you have the ability to shoot your mouth off is because men and women braver and better than you sacrificed life and limb for your right to do so. As for the Boy Scouts, they are absolutely right to keep homosexuals from taking youngsters on camping trips. While it’s true that many gays are perfectly fine people and that very few homosexuals are pedophiles, there’s no reason on earth to take unnecessary risks just so we can all prove how broadminded we are. For what it’s worth, as decent as most Catholic priests are, I wouldn’t let them take youngsters into the woods, either. It’s fine to be compassionate and understanding, but let the gays among us be understanding for a change and acknowledge that, every so often, common sense should trump political correctness.

And, finally, making this a baker’s dozen, Step #13: Let us all agree that while being a woman, a black, a Jew, a Catholic, a Mormon or even a gay, for that matter, should in no way preclude anyone from being elected president of the United States, none of those things constitutes a very good reason to vote for someone.

There’s a new gold rush on but you don’t have to head to the hills of California to be part of it. All you have to do is tune in to talk radio and jot down an “800″ number where a few of the big syndicated shows pimp for the gold merchants. The ads for these companies are all over radio and television.

I have no problem with a host or show taking advertising from any product. If Rush wants to run a few Obama ads, no problem. If Dr. Savage can sell ads to the ACLU, I say he should give his sales staff a bonus. I’m a capitalist all for making a nickel who believes in the old saying, caveat emptor – buyer beware. Yet, it’s different when the host reads the commercial live. This signifies a level of approval beyond “we let this guy buy ads on our show.”

Here’s my problem: when you rant about Obama’s negativity bringing the economy down, that’s one thing, but when you turn around and urge your listeners to buy gold because things are going to get worse, that’s hypocrisy.

The idea behind the new gold rush is that the country is going to hell in a hurry with the new socialism and we had all better rush out and buy gold because the way things are going our currency will soon be worthless. If you want food and fuel, you better have gold because we’ll all be bartering for essentials. This is fear mongering from guys who are down on Obama for fear mongering.

The worst offender is one of my favorite radio guys, Glenn Beck. The other day I was listening to his show and heard his long commercial for a gold advertiser. It was beyond an endorsement; it was a monologue about the coming crisis. He basically said that if you don’t get some gold today, you’re setting yourself and your family up to starve to death next year. Glenn could be right; we could be headed to a complete breakdown of the international economic and social structure. I don’t think so, but if we are, a little gold won’t help. It’s not like the Kroger would still be open to take filings off your Krugerrand for groceries. It’s not likely some orderly barter system will replace your ATM card.

If you don’t think society’s breaking down, then buying gold retail is not a great investment. First, gold is at an all-time high and I don’t know anyone who thinks buying at the top of the market is a good move. I know ads say the price could be $1500 by the end of the year, but the price could be at $300 by the end of the year and your investment down 70 percent. If you want security, don’t buy gold, take your money out from under the mattress and buy a CD at your local bank. Second, if you call one of those “800″ numbers, you’re not going to get the spot price you see on CNBC. The broker’s percentage on buying and selling precious metals makes the guy in the suit at Merrill Lynch nicking you for 3 or 4 points look like a piker.

If you do believe Armageddon is just around the corner, learn to grow your own food and make sure you can field dress an animal. Teach your kids to hunt and fish. Get guns and lots of ammo. Before you do, let me know, because I want to get a few shares of Smith and Wesson.
