So, as you know, New York Gov. David Paterson offered state property to the developers of the mosque near Ground Zero.

While Paterson wasn’t against a mosque just a few blocks from where thousands died, he realized it might be good for everyone involved “to see something else worked out.”

Well, the developers rejected the offer outright. According to AP, they told the Gov that they were fine where they are. Paterson then wondered why the developer didn’t even bother to “hear what we are actually talking about?”

And so I return to that tweet I received from the Mosque-teers earlier this week. When I asked them if they would welcome my new Islamic gay bar (the most popular name by the way, is “Outfidels”) next to their center, they wrote:

You’re free to open whatever you like. If you won’t consider the sensibilities of Muslims, you’re not going to build dialog. (more…)
