Greg Gutfeld’s 3 AM ‘Red Eye’ Ratings Beat Scarborough, Piers Morgan, John King, Chris Matthews…

by Hollywoodland

DHD:

The talk show hosted by Greg Gutfeld averaged the largest audience in its five-year history (446,000) as well as 177,000 in adults 25-54. In the demo, it edged Piers Morgan (176,000) at 9 PM as well as a slew of other cable news programs in way more trafficked time slots: CNN’s Erin Burnett Outfront (146,000) at 7 PM, MSNBC’s Morning Joe (141,000) from 6-9 AM, MSNBC’s Hardball With Chris Matthews (163,000) at 5 PM and 7 PM, HLN’s Nancy Grace (157,000) at 8 PM, and CNN’s John King USA (121,000) at 6 PM.

Universities Could Do Worse Than Have Snookie as a Guest Speaker … And Have!

by Greg Gutfeld

So the pint-sized pasta-pooper known as Snookie was paid 32 grand by Rutgers University to speak at New Jersey’s largest college.

And yes, they have colleges.

The inverse candy corn was booked by a student-run group, using money from the mandatory student activity fee.

Now, some might find this outrageous. How dare you pay that sum of cash to a pumpkin full of sherbert when you could get someone like…. Toni Morrison!

I disagree.

I believe the Snook is an inspired choice – once you consider the pablum students have endured in the past.

Like Paul Krugman, a miserable wretch possessing the humor of sheet rock. Or that mad-tingler Chris Matthews.

Then there’s Alec Baldwin, Christiane Amanpour, Face the Nation moderator Bob Schieffer, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission chair Mary Schapiro, and Rachel Maddow.

Sarah Silverman: ‘Obama Has the Body of a Thoroughbred’ and Other Hollywood Myths

by AWR Hawkins

When I read Sarah Silverman’s gushing description of a “private” meeting between her and President Obama in a hotel hallway, one in which he gave her “a big hug,” my first reaction was to laugh out loud. I found it hilarious that even amid crippling unemployment figures, skyrocketing energy prices, and foreign policies only Jimmy Carter could love, Hollywood elitism was still clinging to the dream.

Of course it went from hilarious to sickening when I read further into Silverman’s account of the event, and saw how she reacted to the “big hug” by equating Obama’s body with that of a thoroughbred. At this point I said to myself: “Silverman has obviously never hugged a thoroughbred.” (I grew up around racehorses, and Obama’s emasculated frame is by no means reminiscent of a thoroughbred.)

As a matter of fact, Silverman’s comparison of the two – Obama’s body with that of a thoroughbred – is so silly that one might call her sanity into question were it not for the fact that she’s not alone in speaking the absurd in relation to Obama. In other words, she’s not the only Hollywood celebrity to utter such imbecility; she’s just the latest one.

For example, during the 2008 campaign cycle, director Spike Lee said an Obama presidency would not simply bring “a new day, [but] a better day.” George Clooney said Obama possessed “the one quality you cannot teach…which is he is a leader.” And actor Josh Lucas described Obama as “a truly scholarly man.” (Pardon me while I throw up.)

I wonder what the people represented by the approximately 10% unemployment figures in this country would say about Obama’s new day? I wonder what Gulf of Mexico residents who watched Obama play golf in 2010 instead of taking a hands-on approach to the BP oil spill would say of his leadership? And since when does thinking the United States has 57 states or stuttering through speeches on a teleprompter or spending a country into oblivion by running a 3 trillion dollar deficit up to 14 trillion in 2 years seem scholarly?

Chris Matthews: From Leg Tingle to ‘Pluperfect’

by Greg Gutfeld

So here are some poll numbers that should scare the low-waisted chaps off Democrats. By a 50-42 margin, Ohio voters say they’d rather have George W. Bush as President right now than Barack Obama. Also, among voters in Gallup weekly tracking of 2010 congressional preferences, Republicans lead by 51% to 41%. That lead is the largest since Gallup started tracking the stuff in the early 1500’s!

Now, there’s a reason Bush looks good, but it has less to do with the man, than the media. Think about it: “back then,” you didn’t have reporters calling you a dumb racist every time you ragged on the President! What makes Obama unpopular? For one: you can’t disagree with him, without being called something bad.

Check out Chris Matthews, the tingling mess who cannot fathom why no one is happy with Mr. Wonderful.

notorious

Okay..where to start…

First, people can admire Obama and still disagree with his policies. I think he’s a decent guy, and the best liberal president I’ve seen. But I also can’t stand him because he is the best liberal president I’ve seen. Matthews can’t see that it’s about ideology, not race. Maybe he’s the bigot!

Look, concerning his unpopularity, Obama is the least surprised of all. He planned to lose friends from the start. What makes him smarter than Matthews: he knew America would hate his agenda. (more…)

Daily Gut: The New Extremism

by Greg Gutfeld

So President Obama faced a few hecklers yesterday, who went after him about the “Don’t ask, Don’t Tell” policy.

Take a gander, gander takers:

Now I, for one, think it’s awesome to see gay activists stretching beyond the easy targets. Usually, they rag on Mormons, because they’ll take it – but ignore black churches because they won’t. So now, for once, they’re actually speaking truth to power.

But hold on.

I just wonder… couldn’t this heckling be a precursor to violent extremism? And could this agitation toward our President, believed to be based on policy – actually be thinly veiled racism? I mean, the President actually said he agreed with this gay group. And yet they still heckled. Perhaps the members of Get Equal should look in the mirror, and ask themselves why they’re so uncomfortable with a black man in the Oval Office. Perhaps Chris Matthews could ask this question for them. While Olbermann holds the mirror. (more…)

Daily Gut: A Country Full of Racists

by Greg Gutfeld

So a new Gallup poll profiled Tea Party supporters, and found that they were all racists.

I mean, by the MSNBC definition – they would be racist. After all, 79 percent of those polled were white.

That’s a lot of white people, and Chris Matthews must reckon, a lot of hoods.

chris-matthews

But is it a lot when you compare it to the general population? The gen. pop. is 75 percent white, which is only 4 percent less than the tea people. The poll measured other variables – from education to employment, and there was little difference between the TP’s and the rest of America. Even with the obvious lack of liberals – the TP’s represent the “public at large.” Essentially these people manage the hardware store and watch your house when you’re on vacation. They probably hate rap music AND Gossip Girl.

Now, you think the fact that tea-partiers reflect America will stop Matthews, Janeane Garofalo or Keith Olbermann from calling teapartiers violent racists? Of course not – because the left actually feels the same exact way about America that they do about tea-partiers. (more…)

Racist Hollywood: ‘Avatar’ Actress Says Skin Color Costs Her Work

by John Nolte

Glamour Magazine:

GLAMOUR: In past interviews, you’ve bristled on the topic of race. Why

Zoe Saldana: Because ethnic is a word that doesn’t exist in my vocabulary. In Hollywood, you hear things like, “Oh, they loved you but they want to go more traditional.” That’s the new N word. So when [someone says] I look “dark,” I say, “Dark compared to whom? This is just my skin.”

If true, this isn’t terribly surprising for a few reasons. First, the left runs Hollywood and the left is unnaturally obsessed with race. Long after normal people in this country achieved actual colorblindness and started seeing each other only as fellow Americans and human beings, the left still can’t let it go.

zoe-saldana-4

Without even thinking about it, good people focus on what we share in common with those around us.  And if there are differences between us, they have nothing to do with something as shallow as skin color or ethnicity. (more…)

Daily Gut: The Spurning of Chris Matthews

by Greg Gutfeld

So yesterday on the Cartoon Network, Chris Matthews did a segment on Bret Baier’s interview with President Obama.

Matthews, still suffering from Obama-erotica Syndrome, was astounded by Bret’s treatment of his Precious Prince. To make sure he got his point across, he had a pair of chuckling chuckleheads on standby, in the form of Joan Walsh and Cynthia Tucker. Gosh, they’re adorbs!

Check it out, check it outers:

—–

“Buccaneer buddy?” What the hell is that? Is that like a gay pirate or something?

Look, the real star of that clip wasn’t those three bozos, but the editor who left out all of the Dear One’s filibustering. The editor just clipped the ends of Obama’s statements when Brett tried to get the Great One back on track. It’s sneaky. But so what. I suppose I could go through Chris Matthew’s illustrious career, and find examples of his self-righteous screeching at guests – something Baier never does. But there are just way too many examples, and it’s nice outside. (more…)

Obama’s Eleven

by Iowahawk

Obama’s Eleven (Scene 1: Framed from the back, bathed in the glaring kleig lights, a lonely lounge crooner stands at a microphone with a trenchcoat slung over his shoulder.)

VOICE-OVER
This is it. The big time. The main room at Uncle Sam’s Capitol Dome Casino. It took 20 years working every fleabag state bar and legislative lounge from Cambridge to Hyde Park, but now this singer is finally grabbing that little ol’ brass ring they call stardom.

That overnight sensation belting out the State of Union? None other than me, Barry Obama. Just a scrappy skinny kid from the mean streets of Honolulu with a silky baritone and a pocketful of dreams. Now I’ve got those high rollers eating straight from the ever-lovin’ palm of my hand. Little do they know I’ve got another dream — the craziest heist the D.C. strip has ever seen.

BARRY

Spend me to the moon, and let me play around with TARP,
Give the folks some stimulus so they can all buy cars.
In other words, cut the debt.
In other words, fiscal re-spons-i-bility.

Yeah!

Appropriate that cash, just like you’re Johnny Maynard Keynes,
We need jobs and health care and some light rail urban trains,
In other words, tighten belts.
In other words, ef-fic-i-ency.

Spend meeeeeee (hit it boys) to the moooo-oooo-oooooon!

Look-out-Old-Barry’s-back!

MSNBC Echo Chamber: When Leftists ‘Debate’ Movies

by John Nolte

Here’s MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Vanity Fair’s Michael Wolff, and WaPo critic Paul Farhi  discussing “The Blind Side.” And how illuminating for the “Hardball” audience to hear such a broad diversity of cinematic opinion ranging from hard left to harder left.

Let me save you from watching the video. In order of stupidity from least to worst, here are the three main talking points:

1. White people holding the solutions to minority peoples’ problems is offensive.

2. I agree, but I still liked the movie.

3. Black people are used as a “prop” to make white people feel better.

A couple of times Michael Wolff seems like he’s about to credit Barack Obama, or at least his election, with the success of both “The Blind Side” and “Avatar.” At the last moment, though, Wolff pulls back as though he’s afraid to say it because in his mind the idea might sound grand but just as the words are about to leave his lips he begins to understand how moronic he’ll sound. Hello Big Hollywood

by Michael Moriarty

To begin with, writing this first editorial for Big Hollywood feels as threatening as the moment I entered California to do my first big film-role in Glory Boy, originally and more comprehensively titled, My Old Man’s Place.

“Do I really want that face I see in the rushes  … the one that looks an awful lot like me … do I want it running around the movie houses of the world?”

By then, of course, it was too late. I’d already signed a contract.

Director Elia Kazan accepts an honorary Oscar (1999)

I’ve already said yes to Andrew Breitbart … and though I’ve been writing editorials on enterstageright.com for more than a few years … this actual return to Hollywood … uh … Big Hollywood, no less … is as disturbing as those memories of My Old Man’s Place.

What does Big Hollywood mean?

Is it a tribute or in-house sarcasm? (more…)

On Teabagging and Other Oral Servitudes

by John T. Simpson

This past April 15, as a half-million Tea Partiers hit the streets of America to protest the insane tax-and-spend policies of the Obama administration, a new epithet entered the American lexicon, and it was a beauty: “teabagger.” It was both an epithet and a double entendre you just couldn’t top, given the tea bag’s symbolism of the old Boston Tea Party and the anti-tax movement of today. In one fell swoop, a passionate movement was reduced to a perversion of passion: the dunking of one person’s scrotum into another person’s mouth. They got us. Big Time. And it’s everywhere now. Can’t get away from it. Even ABC’s George Stephanopoulos is using it now.

Credit where credit is due, and let’s face it. We Americans, right, left or center, take a churlish pride in a good slam dunk epithet. Not the hardcore racial third rail stuff, mind you. Just the playful sort. You know. Moonbat. Libtard. Tinfoil hat. In fact, tinfoil hat kind of backfired on Righties. Originally used to denigrate Lefties who adhered to psychotic conspiracy theories like 9/11 Truth, the term was embraced in full by the far Left as demonstrated by Markos Moulitsas’ Tinfoil Hat KOS conventions, smashing successes which attracted major left-leaning LibDem politicians over the past few years. The Bill Maher Meltdown

by Big Hollywood

We’ll let others debate the medical aspects of this, but Maher’s obviously not used to not being adored by the New York Times or leftist guests like Alec Baldwin and Chris Matthews, and seeing the smug/cocky knocked out him as he plays defense, rambling on as his guests squirm uncomfortably makes for an interesting five minutes.

Mainstream Media: The Devil Wears Pravda

by John T. Simpson

From the riots and chaos of the 1960s to the anti-war rallies of the Bush years, the American Left’s revolution has been widely televised. In fact, the Big Three and Dead Tree Press played a major part in that revolution. From negative field reporting during the Vietnam War to negative reporting on McCain/Palin and the beatification and election of Barack Obama, the MSM has been marching in lockstep and waving the banner for the American Left all the way. RatherGate, anyone? Doesn’t get much more lockstep than a reporter trying to subvert a presidential election to the Left’s advantage.

herd-of-sheep

But there’s another revolution underway in America today, and you sure as hell won’t see it televised or reported on by our new fourth branch of government. It’s not in their interest to do so. Nothing new there. For a long time now, political corruption has been rampant in the Leftist ‘mainstream’ media. In 1998, Matt Drudge made his big mark breaking the Monica Lewinsky scandal, which Newsweek had buried to protect President Clinton. Think Obama’s Tiger Beat would have done that for Bush? (more…)
