I can only imagine. I don't imagine people who lived in California, Oregon, or Washington would recognize their states governments or the behavior of a lot the people living there now. I live in northern Michigan and while we would be considered backward by California standards but our property and lives are safe; and for the most part the local governments leave us alone.

The liberals are so immersed in the herd mentality, the group think, that they can not fathom the idea of individual thought. Because there are numerous conservatives across this great country who agree with much of what high profiles like Rush, Glen, Matt and Andrew say, liberals believe we get marching orders from them.
They see it as whenever a popular conservative has spoken, we all fell in line. When it is a fact that they had a platform and spoke from it, we agreed and made them popular. Part of the disconnect between sane people and individuals like Garafalo is that so-called progressives like the latter cannot separate their emotional reactions from their worldview. They are unable to think in terms of evidence and probability, or logic or rationality. This is how they are trained or miseducated. They naturally project their own inculcated race assumptions onto others. They don't understand how people don't judge others in terms of race, and that judging people (or striving to judge people) individually is the opposite of racism.
But since hard leftists are egotistical crusaders, there must be victims for them to save. These progressive types associate themselves with perceived victims, making them vicariously (in their imagination) also victims; although they tend to be upper middle class yuppies, millionaires like Michael Moore, or even so-called "minorities" in positions of power like Barack Obama.
Hard leftists are often wealthy, privileged, or powerful. But guilt forces them into a false sense of humility to atone for their unshakable elitism. So if the right doesn't assume that minorities are victims, then somehow they are akin to Nazis who actually scapegoated a minority and victimized them.
In order for the leftists to be heroes, there must be villains. If there are none available, they must be invented. This feeds a Stalinesque paranoia that all problems are being caused by capitalist saboteurs, even if it is just reality smacking them upside the heads, repeatedly, for their unworkable utopian ideas.
Liberals wear several hats in their psychological complex – at once, in rapid succession, or interchangeably: They are elitists, victims, martyrs, crusaders, and rescuers – or some combination of these.

Especially after our Attorney General, Eric Holder, declined to prosecute the Black Panthers who stood armed outside a polling place in Philly, intimidating people on their way to exercise their most sacred right and duty as Americans, despite the fact that federal prosecutors had filed suit against them, and they NEVER EVEN SHOWED UP FOR THEIR COURT HEARING, virtually assuring that DOJ would have an indictment, and eventual conviction in the bag.
So, Ms. Garafalo, I'd have to say, in answer to your question: based on the available evidence (that's, ummm…, EVIDENCE, as opposed to the fevered, paranoid hallucinations of a has-been "comedian"), I'm sure any black person caught with a weapon outside a McCain rally would probably be offered a job in the Holder Justice Department.

I find it rather ironic when people who absolutely do hate others talk about how other people "hate", people they know nothing about and have never met.
The white supremacist movement has what, 100,000 people total in it's ranks, total? If I'm off, I'm sure I'm not off by much. Yet half the country voted against Obama, (300 million people, divide by 2=150 million, divide by two again since only half the population votes=75 million, divide by two again because only half the country voted for Obama=37.5 million people take or give a couple million.) 37.5 million > 100,000. Maybe, just maybe, if she did the math she would figure out that people don't flock to join white supremacist groups just because they want the government to start paying attention to the Constitution again. Maybe I'm wrong, I'll have to go back and count the number of Confederate flags that were shown at the tea party (which should be easy, since I have two hands with 5 fingers each.) Her argument even defies logic, since people who carry around the Confederate flag still want secession of the states, which is counter to the Constitution, since it sets the minimum set of rights across the nation as a whole. Then again, most Liberals part from logic in the arguments very quickly.
