HOWARD ZINN’S LEGACY: Celebrities Must Be Held Accountable For the Unlawful Acts They Champion
by Larry O'ConnorHoward Zinn wants teachers to bring in whatever materials they want to your child’s class room. He wants them to use their own judgement to teach whatever they think is appropriate. He wants them to subvert the rules regarding the approved curriculum at the school you are paying for. Of course, if Zinn’s advice is followed, there is nothing keeping a teacher from bringing materials related to Holocaust denial, or 9/11 conspiracies or creationism into the class room, as well. Unless Zinn is recommending only HIS enlightened view of history should be secretly brought into the classroom.

There are some very important people in our country who have aligned themselves with Zinn. With his philosophy. With his view of history. With his view of the United States. And, with his strategy for getting his message into the public schools outside of the legal construct of School Boards and State Departments of Education.
They made a film of his book. They walked the red carpet and they posed with the man they admired. He was the inspiration for their film and they spoke of him glowingly, almost like he was a hero. They began their film with him striding out alone onto a stage in a theatre full of admirers. It was his way of taking a curtain call (a standing ovation, by the way) before the show even began.
“They” are the elite Hollywood stars who believed they gave themselves intellectual and cultural relevance by aligning themselves with the man who made it his life work to tear down the traditional American narrative.
And now, after his death, his legacy is to move that effort, subversively into the public school room despite the curricula established by democratic process. In other words, he wants teachers to teach his lesson plans and go against the wishes of “the people” whom he claims to admire so much.
Matt Damon and Josh Brolin gave this man a very glitzy and high profile platform on the History Channel. And they celebrated his words as a wise, breath of fresh air:
“We didn’t want to hear the words of the people in the White House, we wanted to hear the words of the people picketing the White House. The agitators, the anti-war protestors, the socialists and anarchists, in other words: The people who gave us whatever liberty and democracy we have in this country.”
Forget, for a moment, about Mr. Zinn. Forget that these are the tired and boring words of a bygone era. When shower-deprived protestors outside the Nixon White House were receiving whimsical admiration. When Leonard Bernstein feted the Black Panthers and John Phillips made people feel like everything was OK as long as it felt good. This is not about Mr. Zinn. He is old news.
This is about Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and all of the beautiful, well-paid actors who went out of their way to ensure that “The People Speak” was made, and distributed and now is available for your child to see in the school room you are paying for. And, the lesson plans that are being brought into that class room, hidden in a teacher’s satchel so as not to get the attention of a school administrator.
As Big Hollywood has previously revealed, the Zinn Education Project has been designed for the sole purpose of providing teachers a means to bring Zinn’s biased and subversive version of American history into the public schools using subterfuge and (in Zinn’s words) “Guerrilla warfare.”
And now, it is time for the stars who reaped the benefits of appearing on behalf of the celebrated historian to own these ideas too.
Mr. Damon, you enjoy a level of prestige by making a “serious” film like “The People Speak”. It gives you credibility in certain circles so that some people don’t regard you as just a dumb actor. So, now let’s put that to the test. Are you prepared to embrace your hero’s words? We hold you accountable for the actions of the Zinn Education Project. You must speak out and either denounce this subversion of the democratic process or you must embrace it.
Josh Brolin, you can’t just sit quietly under the guise of pseudo-intellectualism and reap the benefits of appearing so studied and so well read and so… concerned for the education of our children (as you expressed in so many interviews promoting this film) and not take a stand on Mr. Zinn’s advice to a future history teacher:
“Don’t obey the rules. Don’t be intimidated by what they tell you you must teach.”
Morgan Freeman, Viggo Mortensen, Marisa Tomei, Sean Penn, Rosario Dawson, Casey Affleck, Don Cheadle, David Straithern, Danny Glover, Kerry Washington, Benjamin Bratt, Sandra Oh, Jasmine Guy… you are all part of this. You went out of your way to be in this film. We know because Director Chris Moore told us:
“ He went on to explain that as word spread about the project, the buzz grew and it became a cool thing to be associated with. He would field calls from actors who wanted to get in and he would respond to them: Go out and DO something. Get involved, be an activist for a cause.”
So, you got your wish and you were in this film… this film that was the “cool thing to do.” Now that you are “cool” you get to own all the baggage that comes with being “cool” in the world of Howard Zinn.
His words are now your words. Own them. Unless, you’d like to tell us otherwise?

I'm still learning, having been politically awakened on Aug 29, 2008. So I never heard of Howard Zinn before.
… and the title is unintentionally misleading; Zinn's legacy is NOT to hold celebrities accountable.
I'll never be able to watch these actors again without remembering this. Disgusting.
But, I have to say, the curriculum in schools is already highly progressive. I have made sure my children know real history. When they are in the classroom, they can't help respectfully correcting teachers and proving their point with resources. At first, I asked them just to go along, afraid they would become objects of ridicule, but now that they are 17-35, I am proud of them for deciding on truth instead of taking the easy road.
Mr. Damon, you enjoy a level of prestige by making a “serious” film like “The People Speak”. It gives you credibility in certain circles so that some people don’t regard you as just a dumb actor.
Only credibility In certain crop circles. Liberals might accord Mr. Damon some "prestige", but that is just narcissistic pseudo-intellectual self-stimulation. For normal people, "dumb actor" seems to be a bit more honest and reflective of reality.
Hopefully, Big Education will help us target this garbage…
Why in the hell celebrities keep falling for this bilge pumping from the Progs, I'll never know…
So, I'll just have to smash it up when I find it…
I look at the Howard Zinn Legacy, as my family savings plan. Any of these hypocritical, self absorbed America hating “actors” show up in a movie…don’t go! Keep your money in your pocket.
Graduation Picture of the "Witless Tools Class of 2010." You could knock me over with a feather if any of them knew what political economics is, let alone having actually read a textbook on the subject.
These bozos are so full of themselves and so susceptible to crafty commies who make them think they're actually smart and wise when they take up the banner of this nonsense.
So…teachers should bring whatever they want to the classroom? The property taxpayers of each school district who pay their salaries, and whose children they're paid to teach serious subjects, should have a major say in this particular nonsensical trend.
The problem with holding the actors accountable for them being brainwashed into progressive/socialist version of history is the fact that they are probably clueless about the real history of the United States. These actors did not, to use the latest historical buzzword/concept, have agency. Put yourself in these actors places. An assistant comes to them, breathlessly saying Matt Damon wants you to work on a project, the actor thinks to them self "Damon popularity will wash off on me". Then the Assistant tells the actor, it is an intellectual film with a historian that Damon loves and gets a thumbs up in San Francisco. Not knowing History, Historian, and wanting to appear intellectual among the progressive/elite at the parties in the Hills, the actor jumps at it and recites his lines with alll the skill of a brain-dead trick pony. So, though the show, I will not dignify the work as a documentory, is false and good for comedic value, the actors can not be held accountable. Sort of like convicting a person for murder, though they are insane and think they did a right thing.
THE BIG LIE…."The agitators, the anti-war protestors, the socialists and anarchists, in other words: The people who gave us whatever liberty and democracy we have in this country.”
As long as we conservatives sit by and do nothing to destroy this BIG LIE, they will continue to control the culture and the message which will lead to the destruction of the republic.
Were's that A-hole buried? I'd like to piss on his grave.
A photograph of the Never-Getting-Another-Fucking-Cent-Of-My-Money Clubm
"The people who gave us whatever liberty and democracy we have in this country."
Wouldn't that be the people serving in our armed forces and not the idiot "agitators, the anti-war protestors, the socialists and anarchists" like Cindy Sheehan? Seems to me that the people they want us to listen to are the ones who'd like to take away our liberty and our democracy so they can dictate to us how we are allowed to live. After all, they know better than the unwashed masses do.
And I'll know better than to waste money on these people's work product. Can't say it'll be much of a loss. With one or two exceptions they're hardly the most stellar of actors.
We must stop the progressive agenda at all cost. They are really, actually, for sure, undoubtedly, destroying what the founders created. Folks, we have go the offence like never before. It is sad that citizen must go up against citizen, but when the Republic is at stake we have no choice.
In any conflict, your BRAIN is what decides victory or defeat. Not your age, not you physical strength, not your weapons. The consider us to be stupid bumpkins and that gives us on hell of an advantage. They will blindsided at every turn by our use of strategy and patience. We will defeat them by manipulating their narcissism.
Do you how easy it is to infiltrate them? To quickly rise up in their organizations? They will take ANYONE who uses the right rhetoric. Infiltrate and expose. Infiltrate and expose.
get ready for a shock and to pull your darlings out of public school. It will take generations to undo the harm these people have done.
"The people who gave us whatever liberty and democracy we have in this country."
Nevermind God, or even the founders these "brave" actors have done jack for this country.
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
You mean like General George Washington? Col Alexander Hamilton? BGEN Daniel Morgan? MGEN Nathanael Greene?
Can hardly wait for Big Education to roll out.
Ahh..Larry. SO refreshing to read your witless diatribe about a man you never met, that you you make so many wrong assumptions about. Zinn's work was about revealing the crimes committed by SOME of the members of our government, not all of them. He loved America enough to fight for it in WW2, what war did you fight in, Larry?
Nice poem. Thank you.
It is the duty of conservatives to work hard to keep Howard Zinn's legacy and works OUT of the schools and keep away from children.
I will provide you the pick and shovel. One condition: Just make sure you post it online.
I second that motion.
Although, Kristine, it is our reponsibility as spokes people and voters to know what we are talking about, I would think. I understand what you are saying, though. It is too easy to jump on the popularity train and let someone else think for us.
Why so socialist Hollywood?
Hollywood is full of undereducated children who became spoiled millionaires under Reaganomics, and now complain about the same system that gave them a good life.
.
If you had ever read his "history" book, then you would know that he did, indeed, hate America.
As a Jew, Zinn was eager to fight fascism and Nazis in World War II. Just like many Americans of Jewish origins and Jews who escaped Nazi Europe in 1930s, all who signed up to join the US military and those who were drafted in 1942-1945 when they came of age.
Sorry, my friend, I knew the man himself. He did not hate America, just the clowns who ran it into the ground.
Sorry. They're adults. They wanted to be in this film and they are responsible for their own actions. Willflul ignorance is not an excuse. They won't get another cent of my money.
Funny how they don't want to hear the people protesting the Whitehouse anymore…
Honesty, how do we do that? Blogs like this help to spread the word, but I am not sure enough people see or hear this. I am an educator from the midwest and had never heard of Zinn until Big Hollywood. It takes a while for "educational" fads to hit us. Hopefully, this will be exposed before it gets any farther. FOX needs to take this on, too.
Youtube o.k.?
I bet you did. Meet at the NAMBLA convention?
Well that explains everything. You met the man and you are under the same spell as Damon. Enough said.
On another note, it's a shame that I was too young to fight in Vietnam and too old for the Gulf War. By your standards I could have done pretty much anything I wanted no matter how vile just because I served.
It's statements like that that demonstrate what ignorant kooks you and others like Damon really are.
"Ahhhhhhhh he served in the war!!!!! He must be good !!!"
Time for your meds pal.
you betcha
thought-if progressives are socialists, and socialists are atheists and moral relativists, would they have any grounds to be outraged by the treatment of an inanimate object?
Zinn was a fanatical lunatic.
I'll bet he thinks he's really Will Hunting……
I can't help but laugh now every time I see a picture of Matt Damon. Such a talented actor, but his personality and self-love have ruined his films for me. He is borderline crazy I believe. For the longest time I thought he was the more rational, sensible one between he and his BFF, Affleck, but apparently that's not the case.
None. In fact, I'd love to erect an outhouse over his grave.
I'll be there right after a trip to Taco Bell…..
It's Zinn's way or the highway…..like a good little fascist……
Oh, indeed! Already there boycott!
Right, now the protestors are "right-wing lunatics" and racists and part of a cult…..
They are all frauds….
Have any of you actually SEEN this film? It's about independent voices – the kind you claim to have.
That's a valid point.
I can't tell you how sad I am to see Morgan Freeman's name in this list of dopes. Not you, Easy Reader!
Ahh.. I love riling up the blind faithful. A bunch of know nothing losers, safe behind the screens of their computers, speaking ill of a man who will be remembered for a lot more than any of you ever will.
And what is vile about his work? The fact that he spoke of the crimes committed by members of our own government, in our name? What is wrong with that?
Clever!! Did Andrew feed you that one?
Nope.
our favourite tactic of the left is to find one of theirs who served in the military- rare though it might be- and use it as a bludgeon…
Zinn served, sure. One had little choice in WWII, unless you ran from it. And no one disrespects his service. THAT has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand. Zinn was a subversive, a man who believed in stealth agendas. As does his idiot followers, most of whom would be targeted for elimination in a NWO regieme like Zinn envisions.
Let's just say others who have served- and are serving- their country find him a traitorous sort…
Do they respect those opposing the power in the White House today, do they want to hear from the protesters outside the White House today? No they don't, leftists, dishonest communists.
Nothing with Danny Glover associated with it is the least bit independent.
another thing- only nine people watched the Zinn Histroy Channel special…
OK, a little exaggeration. But is wasn't a ratings bonanza; repeats of UFO Hunters beat it by a lot. More troublesome is it becomes- guess what- a 'teaching tool' to be shown endlessly in classrooms around the US.
That was the real agenda here…
I am not the writer
There is some dispute as to who is
But it sums it up for me
If he practiced what he preached he would most certainly do it, but I have a feeling the thought of something like that would turn his stomach. He's more interested in dinosaurs, LOL!!!!
one way i protest these cretins is to boycott their films.
end result is i save alot of money.
beware the busy body.
"A bunch of know nothing losers, safe behind the screens of their computers, speaking ill of a man who will be remembered for a lot more than any of you ever will."
And there it is. We're the knuckle-draggers that should just shut up and do what the elitists say. I suggest you do some growing up.
Let me see….. I don't think I need to see Monday Night Football to know that a football game is going to be played.
I don't think I need to see a slasher movie to know that somebody is going to get slashed.
Maybe you need to see MNF to realized that a football game is going to be played. OK. But most us don't.
And I think most of us, even you, know what's going to happen when you mix one part Zinn and one part Hollywood.
no matter…
it hit the spot, as they say…
gee- we thought he was speaking about himself, too…
I agree. I have found myself with less and less interest in paying to support Hollywood actors who make it a point to tell us we should not pay to support "offensive" groups.
Since they are so insistent, I take their "advice", and start by avoiding their movies.
Sal Paradise, I certainly honor Mr. Zinn's WWII service and respect his right to become an antiwar advocate after that experience (some people have even followed that route to political careers). What you fail to notice is that the article takes issue with Zinn's advice to teachers to ignore the curriculum rules they agreed to teach by.
Zinn apparently wanted to subvert the American Narrative and instead of advocating that private schools be created where his perspective on America could be taught, he wanted to use the teachers in the public school system to do that. But taxpayers fund that system and sit on school boards that approve curricula, etc. So this task (subverting the school system) is going to be difficult. That's where these "prestigious" actors come in. More on that in a minute…
BTW, since I believe in "academic freedom," I see nothing wrong with using a book by Howard Zinn in a senior high school class or college class. As long as they are balanced by books by other historians or writers who take a different perspective entirely from Zinn's. The rest of my remarks are in the next comment….
Continuing…Writers like Hannah Arendt, for example. Totalitarian rule, she argued, is predicated on the assumption that proving that a thing is true is less effective than acting as though it were true. Hmmm. Acting as though something is true when it's not. Who's best at that? Why actors of course. Just like the ones in the pic accompanying the article. Marxist tools like the actors in the pic with Zinn already make films which do exactly what Zinn wants public paid instructors and school teachers to do. Their films state or at least assume that America is evil. That capitalism is evil. That we plunder the world's resources, we oppress minorities of all types, that we pollute the earth, etc. More…
Good for you. This issue of standing up to some of the crap taught by some public school teachers is a thorny one for me as the son of a public school teacher (and a good one, too) and who thus was taught from an early age to respect one's elders, including the folks at the podium. I never wished to undermine their authority or to embarrass them in front of everyone, so I generally kept my mouth shut. However, one day in a college class my political science professor informed the class that tax revenues had dropped after Reagan's tax cuts took effect. This of course is demonstrably untrue, and I began to say so, but the professor insisted that it was, and I just shrugged and dropped it. The two things I couldn't stand thinking about afterward were: a) that the numerous self-described socialists in the class probably were thinking I might have been won over to their side, and b) that the people who didn't know anything about it had been lied to. So I would say now that we should challenge educators when they spread outright lies like this. Even if you don't get them to admit they're wrong, you may convince others in the class, and that's a start.
Continuing…Now if you have actors ( and producers, writers, etc.) already working in popular entertainment to rehape the culture, the only thing you really need to cement the deal is to have the children and young adults get the same perspective/message educationally. Our children's teachers are human and just as easily influenced by celebrity as all of us are. That's why these actor comrades and their Zinn cause are so dangerous. And, like Mr. O'Connor, I believe they should be held fully accountable for their endorsement.
Sorry to be so long winded here, but as a former teacher this post touched a nerve.
I applaud your sentiment, but I'm pretty sure having someone urinate on his grave is the least of Mr. Zinn's troubles right now.
Interesting argument. Would you say, then, that we have to respect Timothy McVeigh and not pass judgment on him, because after all he served in the military too?
Here's a thought. Teachers are always encouraged to bring materials into their classrooms. In many schools, underfunded for years by Republicans, the materials purchased by teachers from their own money are the ONLY materials in the classroom.
And, yet another thought, in a word, American education is HORRIBLE. The number of dropouts, the academic disparities, and the simply dreadful reading, writing, and work skills "graduates' bring to work or to college is enough to make any taxpayer sick. What kind of system "graduates" students 33%+ of whom REQUIRED REMEDIAL work prior to being admitted to even the lowest calibre universities and trade schools? How many K-12 teachers in GRADUATE PROGRAMS cannot write a coherent paragraph? Ask me how I know…I teach these people, and I have taught them for 30 years and let me assure you that the state of American education is dreadful. If Howard Zinn or any person who can actually think has a good idea, I say get out of the way. It is time to call 911 and get emergency help into our schools.

Just want the Progressives/Marxists to know that even by dieing they won't escape my wrath.
Hey dummy, what war did you fight in? If none, which seems most likely, then what 'chicken-dove' authority do you hold to project the idiotic "chickenhawk" meme?
Zinn Disease. Legacy? The behavior preceded him. The behavior outlives him. This has less to do with Zinn and more to do with people willing to suppress reality.
Suppressing reality. Rewriting history. That's a disease. That's an illness. Not a legacy.
What? The dead and buried dinosaurs, or just Marxists that have shed their mortal coils?
Cont: On that last sentence, he's absolutely right. Not that he appreciated the civilization, liberty, and democracy which endowed nihilists like him the unfettered opportunity to vomit their bile without fear of being dragged off to a gulag. Howard would have rather American citizens been “cultivated, nurtured, indoctrinated from childhood on” with the communist totalitarian philosophy of Vladimir Illyich Lenin. Considering Lenin’s catastrophic legacy, his way would be "so much better". More often than not, the “small benign countries lacking in military power” benefit from our foreign aid largess and usually look to us for protection.
Not one of the dedicated communists/socialists involved with this project has ever spent time or actually lived in a socialist/communist State. Most of the radical effetes fortunate enough to be born in a free country, never do. They just conveniently excercise guaranteed free speech rights; trashing the very country and the military that protects those freedoms. The country they despise so much provided them with a good education, a good livelihood, lots of eeeeevil capitalist money, and a forum for their inane bulls**t.
Cont:
Only a leftwingnut would believe that overthrowing a Democratic Republic in favor of a Communist system is a wonderful idea.
Zinn himself was born in Brooklyn, NY, and claims that his experience flying Air Force bombing missions for the United States in World War II, somehow shaped his opposition to war. Dropping bombs on the belligerent Axis powers who started WWII, was apparently more repulsive than defending the democracies they attacked.
Oh yeah, and I served in Iraq….twice.
This is why as parents you need to realize education begins and ends in the home. Liberals tried to pull the Howard Zinn playbook on my child. Tried being the key word! since I armed her with the proper tools, Howard Zinn was put away. Also as a parent communication is the key. You must talk to your child to know what is going on in school. she shot the liberal teachers down, and I took them to the state. FIGHT BACK PEOPLE! YOU ARE PAYING FOR THIS TRIPE AND PAYING FOR YOUR KIDS TO BE STUCK ON STUPID!
ON THE MONEY!

"A choice I think he earned the right to make"
And what did you do to earn your right to make a choice? Be careful…….. Think and learn Sal. But you haven't. Have you? Let me explain to you that one ( including even you Sal) need not have serve as a bombadier to have a choice to be pro or anti anything in this country.
And that's where you expose both yourself and Zinn as those who seek to control others who have not "earned" the right of dissent. You hate that we have that right already. And that we (the people) intend to excercise it.
And as far as progressives having their rightful place in history. To those who have "thought and learned", they do!
Anarchists gave us 'Whatever' Freedoms we have?#*^!?!?!? Do these people sniff glue while drinking the KOOL-AID? John Philips – the 'One' that raped his daughter…. California Dreaming John Philips… I got down on my knees and began to pray, John Philips> seems that line makes sense now..
Having served in the military…. like Lee Harvey Oswald?
Is that Glenn Close in that picture? I thought she had brains. Sad.
I did see it, in fact. It was about the celebration of certain independent voices at the expense of the very systems that have ensured future independent voices may be raised.
"Morgan Freeman, Viggo Mortensen, Marisa Tomei, Sean Penn, Rosario Dawson, Casey Affleck, Don Cheadle, David Straithern, Danny Glover, Kerry Washington, Benjamin Bratt, Sandra Oh, Jasmine Guy"
It's like a Who's Who of Buffoons.
*sigh* The list of entertainers I refuse to support with my hard earned money grows daily.
And Markos Moulitsas? And John Murtha?
Yes, military service is certainly admirable, but it doesn't give you carte blanche to spew bullcrap.
"If Howard Zinn or any person who can actually think has a good idea"
Yeah, the "good idea" part of that is the important thing. Zinn's ideas on what to teach kids is definitely NOT a good idea, and advocating flooding our schools with his tripe just because you believe he can "think" is just plain dumb. A bad idea being taught by Socrates is still a bad idea.
What kind of system "graduates" students 33%+ of whom REQUIRED REMEDIAL work prior to being admitted to even the lowest calibre universities and trade schools?</i.
The kind of system that doesn't want to hurt the feelings of the less intelligent students. You're not allowed to keep kids back a year anymore because they would feel insulted and their parents would complain about how dare you single out MY poor precious wonderful perfect child as being STUPID, even if the kid is in seventh grade and can't write his or her own name without nine spelling mistakes.
Our granddaughter is several years away from school age but we are already planning for her education. I found several history books from my mom's basement that were either my sister's or mine. I also have ready my 1960 edition of the World Book Encyclopedia, which I frequently refer to when I want to read unaltered history. I realize that history has always been slanted one way or another. As it has been said before, "History is written by the winners." But I refuse to allow her to grow up thinking that this country is always wrong and needing to apologize.
Congratulations on your kids!
Is that Jasmine Guy?
LOL!
Jasmine Guy?
For the left to believe in less government makes one a terrorist while supporting left-wing murderous government makes one a hero. How twisted can you get. Sickening.
Or Don Cheadle. Dang, with him taking Rhodey's role in Iron Man 2.
If they get their way, people like us will not exist. The only reason I suffer them to live, is that greasing a Marxist is like eating potatoe chips, and I don't have enough ammo.
Leftists have had a monopoly in the dissemination of information since the Sixties when the Media signed on. The Sixties Radicals then went off to graduate school and became the professors (Bill Ayers one of the most prominent) and the control of info was complete until the unexpected emergence of Talk Radio and the Internet. Murdoch, a very savvy businessman, saw there was a place for a 24 hour news channel that was in the business of news and not propaganda, so launched Fox. Some of what's going on in the country today is that the scales are falling off a lot of eyes at the same time. The propagandists (media and professorial) are struggling to regain control of the message, but there are just so many holes to plug and the dike is leaking like a sieve. Those who still get their news from NPR and the Alphabets still function as "useful idiots" of the Left but they are fewer and fewer.
So far as correcting professors, wouldn't it be easier to find out which colleges and universities are not propaganda/mind washing institutions and send your kids there? And in the case of PUBLIC schools like the state universities, the Tea Parties ought to take aim at them as soon as they're finished with fixing the federal and state government(s).
Damon isn't dumb most likely, just one of the "useful idiots" Lenin made such good use of.
Howard Zinn's legacy… bias, liberal a-holness, and oh wait and a progressive hell bent on fundamentally changing America. Yeah, what a guy.
So much crap with public school curriculum, and I'm glad I'm homeschooled
Get in line
I want to know ALL the names of the actors/celebrities who supported Zinn, not just the ones who are sticking their faces in the camera. B@s@t@r@d@s….I dont know what Im going to do with that list…Im already boycotting practically the entirety of them as it is, but Im frankly tired of these unelected unaccountable jerks telling us how to raise our children. When do I get to pass judgement and make rules for THEIR kids?!
You want my child, Hollywood? I've got some words for you that you probably may recognize from history, that is, if you've ever thought to actually study it: COME AND TAKE [HER]!
You'll find out real quick what Texans did with the last group of people who tried to take away our freedom….
I have watched,
I have recorded,
*I* will teach…and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO about it…
I've known about Howard Zinn for years. He traveled quietly in academic, political, and Hollywood circles spreading his political beliefs and desires for this country and the world. A path of socialism. Similar to Jimmy Carter, Zinn has shown respect for dictators, despots, and stated enemies of our country. The title of Michael Savage's book The Enemy Within is so true. Years ago for another country to defeat America required military might. Today I'm not so sure. The path Obama and Democrats are attempting to put the United States on is dangerous. It's one of failure and weakness. It's a path Russia and China celebrate. I am old enough to remember Kruchev pounding his shoe on the table at the UN and saying they would defeat us without firing a shot. What is frightening is Zinn is only one of many in this country who believe in this.
Since you had to throw in the caveat that education is underfunded by Republicans (those poor innocent harmless Democrats just gave and gave all they had to the schools, didnt they?!), are you implying that the problem can be solved by throwing more money at the situation? Frankly, I think a large part of the problem in public schools is the administrators lining their pretty pockets…cut out the rolls of fat from that group and you might not have so much to complain about…
