Ooo…I'd challenge that. There will be women in attendance who might push it over the top in terms of $$, but I think there will be plenty of teen boys and families. It's part of a successful franchise, and they've been marketing the hell out of it (toys, 7/11, Hugh's made all the talk show rounds). Men will enjoy the explosions and women will enjoy shirtless Hugh–textbook crossover success! I don't see it besting Iron Man, though.

I rekon that the majority of X-Men Origins' audience will be women. This is based on the context that women voted Hugh Jackman as sexiest man alive 2009 over Johnny Depp and Daniel Craig. Men may like the cool action scenes but they won't be gawping at Hugh Jackman everytime he's on screen.

I'm going to see it tomorrow. If it was better than X3 then I will be happy. I guess it does not take much to please me when it comes to comic book movies. I expect lots of nothingness. I also go because I love my husband enough to endure what could be two hours of low quality acting. Halle Barry comes to mind….

On the other hand seeing Liev, Hugh, Ryan, and Dominic in the same movie is already worth my $5.50
I mean for their acting abilities you know!

I saw an early release of the film. As a comic book collector, it was a bad movie. The characters were butchered in this film, especially the character Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds. The movie adds nothing new to the character of Wolverine that you haven't seen before. It's better than X3 but not by much. If you are only a fan of Hugh Jackman or have kids, you can take them to see this(matinee preferably). The trailers show basically all the money shots and the whole movie.

I did the same thing as you. Went back to watching it at the start of season 3 and I haven't regretted doing so. LOST is the best show on TV. The writing and acting are superb. The writers setting an end date for the show really helped.
