Thanks Steve for a great objective portrayal of Gitmo and our service men & women stationed there. It's never ceased to amaze me what kind of garbage they have to take not only from the detainees but our own commander in chief – who has never set foot on the place to see what it is for himself. All the stuff you listed on the list of forbidden interrogation methods is what I called Basic Training.

Good piece though, and you are right, those 5 headed to New York are going to go through quite a culture shock when they get inside a real American prison. Bringing them here though is the biggest freakin mistake possible.

Whether he wanted to not, our non-Decider in Chief has sent a message to our armed forces not to take anymore prisoners. If you were fighting in Afghanistan would you want to take anybody prisoner who could then be transported stateside and possibly pose a threat to the very people you are trying to protect?
