Lonewolf Diaries: Do ‘The Jews’ Run Hollywood?
by Steven CrowderFirstly let me say, that I love Ben Shapiro. For those who don’t know, Ben is a fellow Big Hollywood contributor, a good friend… And very Jewish. Having worked my whole life with Jews who seemed content with perpetuating the negative “Liberal Hollywood elite” stereotype, I noticed that Ben was extremely different. What is it that separates too many tinseltown Hebrews from their supposed brethren in faith?
For years, anti-Semites have used the argument that “the Jews run Hollywood.” After all, Hollywood is a cesspool of immorality, dishonesty and the mistreatment of your fellow man, so pinning the blame on the entire Jewish people would seem like an airtight case to those with deep-rooted disdain for the people (Jimmy Carter, take notes). The problem is that a lot of people don’t realize that Hollywood-centric Jews (like say, the Weinstein brothers) have very little, if anything in common with their practicing Jewish brothers and sisters. Don’t believe me? Oh, you are so gentile. Let’s take a gander at a few of the major issues.
Social/Moral Issues: Practicing Jews of faith tend to have very strong views in regards to abortion, the sanctity of marriage, etc. They are a very pro-life people and a very pro-family people. If you’ve ever been to a Jewish wedding, you’ll see what serious business it is. When they marry, it’s for real. On the contrary, their Hollywood counterparts seem all too happy to brag about wife numero quatro and condemn those who oppose abortion as “anti-choice.” Many just choose to skip marriage altogether (it’s a dead institution, you know). Who needs marriage when you don’t want kids and you’ve got abortion as a fail-safe?
War: What is it good for, absolutely nothing… Unless of course you’ve read the Old Testament. Moses kicked butt and took names, as did Joshua. Don’t even get me started on David and friends! Contrary to Hollywood’s “war is never the answer” mantra, it would seem that the Lord of Israel definitely sees it as a viable option in the face of evil. Of course, Hollywood as an institution doesn’t believe in good, evil or any of that outdated silliness. After all, how could they justify their own actions of adultery, gluttony and foolish pride, if they were to accept God’s definition of right and wrong?
Attitude Towards Christians: It’s no secret that Hollywood is notoriously anti-Christian. Ask a practicing Jew who their greatest allies are however, and time and time again you’ll get the same answer: Christians. Sure Christians and Jews have some serious fundamental differences when it comes to scripture. We still, however, share the same common values and principles by which we live our lives. See Hollywood, we CAN all get along!
Israel vs. Palestine: To be honest, I’m not even going to touch this one. Hollywood’s notoriously pro-Palestine views would seem to stem from a hatred for any sort of nationalism … even if it were to include Israel. Still, supporting a terrorist organization like Hamas as they continue to slaughter fellow Jewish people just doesn’t make sense to me any way you cut it, so I’m going to refrain from talking out of my rear here. For more insight on this, I would direct you to the studly Ben Shapiro’s work.
In the end, I guess I’m just hoping that folks don’t lump the off-putting “Hollywood Jews” in with the good, decent people of the Jewish faith. I’ve been seeing a lot of anti-Semitism lately from both the left and the far-right (Alex Jones anybody?), and I find it troubling. So the next time you hear one of the Weinstein brothers or Carl Reiner speak and find yourself disgusted, remember that they would have more in common with Sean Penn than with your local Rabbi.
Also, if it came down to Dennis Prager and Sean Penn in a fist fight, I’d bet the house on Prager. That’s just something to think about…

But it is NOT monolithic. At least not in an ethnic/religious context. Back in the day the jewish moguls wouldn't dream of insulting Christians- they intuitively knew who their allies were- and were patriotic to a fault.
Today's Hollywood is a bastardization of the Communist 5th columnists of the 30's and 40's- some were jews, yes- but many weren't. It was, and is an ideological affair that transcends race or creed. In simple english, this lot is monolithic in the Left wing Secular/Humanistic philosophy.
Which has very little- if anything- to do with religion. The idea of a 'race' controlling anything is a canard best left to the David Dukes of the world. Not to say there aren't bad- even evil people floating corrupt ideas out of La La land. That surely exists.
So more correctly it would be 'The Left Controls Hollywood'. That we'll buy…
I would take a guess and say most Hollywood Jews are "atheist Jews", and no matter how many people tell me they are "athiest Jews" it still doesn't make sense to me…
Never understood why the Jewish people I know are such loyal Dimocrats. It seems to me that the lefties are so "anti' Israel, that Steven's correct on his take that many Jews (not just those in Hollyweird) are so far removed from their roots that they don't care that "their party" wants nothing to do with helping Israel defend itself or its people.
The issue seems to be whether one actually believes in Judaism and has cultural values related to the religion or whether one has a social identity but basically has become an adherent of liberal collectivist values. Christians and normal Americans have no issue with believers in judaism – to the contrary they are by far the strongest supporters of Israel for example. But they have no confidence with anti-American, anti-capitalism, nanny state, busybody liberalism.
I don't care what religion, race or (sex) anyone is, unless I'm asking them out. The content of their character is all that matters to me.

Please, Hollywood is a Jewish town and you can track their politics by the movies that they script, fund, produce and distribute. It has always puzzled me as well. I understand sympathy for some social liberal causes, but can't get it thru my head why they'd vote against conservative fiscal and personal responsibility values.

In any event, like in any other like-minded community where a lot of folks share a background, it doesn't hurt to be Jewish in Hollywood.
Harvey Levin (Jewish) over at TMZ even made a joke about it a week over so ago after Yom Kippur – he got back from the holiday and announced about Hollywood that "OK – the Jews are back." It took the kids on the show a moment to get what he meant, but they laughed when they did.
That's just the way it is some of the time. Hey – when in Rome. Get some 'Jewish' going and make those around you comfortable. It won't kill ya.

Most all of those Hollywood types are so much better than the rest of us. They were born with divine insight into social and political issues and we all need to follow their example like good little sheep or be ridiculed!

As a part Jew, I think it's a very bad thing that Jews are such a dominating force in Big Media (and Academia). Why? Ashkenazi Jews are the smartest people in the world as a group (see Nobel Prizes), but they are also highly irreligious now, and in fact hostile to religion and especially Christianity.
Jews are not martial (unless they have to be in Israel, and even now, they resent it, are a nation of socialists and have become appeasers to the Arabs and get more people killed. Especially when they routinely trade thousands of terrorists from their prisons for a few bodies of soldiers or a videotape of live proof for a captured one).
Jews have an innate fear of Gentiles (for a few good reasons), but they've carried it over to distrust of America and have worked to alter the demographics to make it less "white" (Christian, that is).
Intelligent people tend to be arrogant, self-righteous, status driven. Te most intelligent are insufferable. There's a good reason people hate New York Jews. They are unbelievably arrogant, obnoxious, fast talking ( and full of BS), nasty, and jerks on the surface.
Jews are very good for science, but I don't think they're very good for America (as a whole) since much of what they've done is to undermine it with every advance in power and influence since they got here in the 1890s and on.
Most Jews (not Mark Levin et al obviously) have no strong historical or cultural tie to the Founding Fathers (in the way that I have since my family settled in New England in the early 1600s and an ancestor fought and died in the American Revolution).
Jews do not voluntarily serve in the military except in tiny numbers (5000 in the entire armed forces last time I checked a few years ago).
In a sense, Jews really are a problem, secular or religious (see the Orthodox in Israel and elsewhere. Entirely insular and hostile to everything non-Orthodox.).

I am a Jew and I have only been to Hollywood once in my life. I can tell you for a fact that non of my Jewish friends run Hollywood. It is odd to me that 75% of Jews are liberal. I think it has more to do with where they are than being Jewish. I don't live in California or New York and maybe that is why I am a conservative republican as most of my local Jewish friends.
Jews vs. the atheist Jews is much different than Christians vs. atheists. If a news report identifies someone with the last name of Goldstein stole a million dollars, the anti-Semitic sites would light up faster than I can type this response no matter if he were religious or not. If the persons last name were Smith nobody would assume or care that he was an atheist or Christian.
Hitler certainly didn't care if you were a practicing Jew or not and there are many groups out there that don't either.
Are these people your describe Jews? Do they believe in God? It begs the question what is a Jew? If they have not gone to the Synagogue or recited a Jewish Prayer in thirty years are they still Jewish? If someone of Christian descent but did not believe in Christ anymore did the same things you mentioned would you say that they were Christian?

Stop lying and smearing. Alex Jones goes to great lengths NOT to blame Jews for anything. If you happen to equate powerful banking elites inciting wars while funding both sides of conflicts for divide and conquer tactics used for personal gain with Jew-bashing, that's your own prejudice (or collective guilt) at work.
Having principled stands against Zionism does not equal a hatred of Jews, either. Jews have to stop the ad hominem attacks used to silence critics. It's lazy when Obama's media underlings do it by using the "R" word, and it's particularly pathetic when a group of people so naturally skilled in the so Socratic method take the same easy out.

Actually, there's a lot more conservative jews in Hollywood than you'd think. Larry Miller the actor for one. I know several television and film writers who secretly are conservatives but are afraid to go public about it because of their reputations. They might not be public about it, but they're out there. I think with sites like Breitbart and Drudge it is slowly becoming more acceptable for conservative hollywood jews to speak out. Keep up the good fight.
Dennis Prager has been saying this for years… that people always comment on Hollywood being Jewish (or run by Jews), but that it is irrelevant due to the fact that Hollywood Jews are non-Jewish Jews. It would mean something if they actually practiced their religiosity, came out in support of Israel, etc. Liberalism is their religion, not Judaism.
Side note: Barbra Streisand starred in a televised broadcast with Golda Meir for Israel's 30th Birthday celebration decades ago, but backed out of her recent scheduled performance in support of Israel's 60th. Personal reasons were cited as to why. I think this is representative of where things are going…
The term "Jewish" describes both a religious group and an ethnic group. Most, but not all, Jews tend to be both religiously and ethnically Jewish. That's probably where the confusion comes from.
So, if you are a member of the Jewish faith, you can describe yourself as Jewish.
Also, if your ethnicity is Jewish (as opposed to Arab or Caucasian), you can describe yourself as Jewish.
However, you don't have to be ethnically Jewish to be religiously Jewish and vice versa.
A more accurate term for most Jews would be to call them Jewish Jews. Then, you would have a unique term for both their religion and their ethnicity. This would then allow you to modify it in the following ways:
Atheist Jew = an atheist whose ethnicity is Jewish
Christian Jew = a Christian whose ethnicity is Jewish
Jewish Persian = a religious Jew whose ethnicity is Persian
But, as stated before, most "Jews" are both religiously Jewish and ethnically Jewish and they just call themselves "Jewish".
My wife is Jewish and we have many Jewish friends.
I have asked many times why so many American Jews are so liberal when the American Left seems to have so much hatred for Israel. I still haven't gotten a good answer.
The only thing I have been able to surmise is that most American Jews are more committed to liberalism than Judaism.
In a recent convo with my Jewish Aunt and Uncle, my Aunt gingerly broached the subject of politics with me – something we never discuss. "So how did your candidate do in the November election?" (Subtle!) I said he lost. She waa relieved. She can't stand Obama……and Ill assume she was speaking for my Uncle, too. I dont know their usual political affiliation, but they are elderly and very well to do New Yorkers…so there ya go.
Jews like entertainment; our calendar goes back nearly 6000 years, that’s a long time to learn ways to amuse yourself. And this amusement was brought to America where Jews built the first amusement parks, arcades and their role in Hollywood is well known. Jews simply flocked to what they loved: entertainment. Fun fact: Sammy Davis Jr was Jewish.

I have to be honest here and say I didn't particularly care for this post. I am probably being a little overly sensitive given all of the recent attempts to paint white conservative males as "racists." I certainly can appreciate the historic context within which there was a need for a Jewish anti-defamation league and, of course the horror of the holocaust is virtually beyond one's capacity to comprehend. But based on information googled on the internet, the percentage of American Jews in the general population is somewhere between 1.5 to 2.2%. Would anybody seriously challenge a hypothesis that the percentage of top executives involved in "Hollywood" who are Jewish,be it studio executives, agents, actors or others involved in the industry far exceeds that percentage? Or would anybody doubt that movies about Jewish American experience or culture far exceeds that percentage?
But maybe the better question to ask is "so what?" I would heartily concur with this statement with one simple caveat. Is it o.k. to have common Jewish interests, or black interests or voting blocks? If one answers yes it is, then why would it be wrong for say, w.a.s.p.s. I tend to suscribe to the naive "Star Trek" view of society where one's color, race, or religion eventually becomes, essentially irrelevant. However, for that to happen, whoever constantly brings up these issues needs to stop doing it. If Hollywood Jewish people are notoriously anti-Christian, how does that help and isn't it a tad hypocritical?
As far as the religious Jews vs. the atheistic Jews, aren't the differences outlined pretty much the same for Christians and atheists?

Most Christians will always support the Jews, because they believe that the Jewish people are God's Chosen People. That is what the Bible says and most Christians take God's Word very seriously.

The philosophy of religious Zionist Jews leads us to participate in national life. It is only a matter of time before the Prime Minister of Israel will also be a religious nationalist Jews.

I have sat across conference tables with people who are jewish, italians, catholics, wasp, Indians, Iranians, Israelis and I have found out that all these groups of people who decide who works and who doesn't come in all creeds, colors, religions, political ideologies and all levels of greed. I always found this to be a big game, maybe since I am Sicilian/Irish from Boston, to me its all business and not personal.
Their job is to take my film and give me nothing and my job is to separate as much money from them as I can. I have had people who are jewish, italian, Wasp, Iranians, Indians all try to rip me off sometime or other. I have had at the same time jews, wasps, italians and others run interference and let me know who was setting me up.
There are two types of people in Hollywood and to quote Dennis Prager, they are the decent and the indecent. Hollywood is about greed, backstabbing, jealousy, people just don't want you to get ahead because the can stop you.
If you take it all personal you will begin to hate. People of the jewish faith are more prevalent in Hollywood so they are attacked by people who got screwed or never made it. It is easy to blame a race or people for your lack of success. I have known lots of bitter people both jewish and non jewish who blame the so called jews that run Hollywood. Its about surviving and never quitting, no matter what the cost to you.
I know a lot of filmmakers who blame the jews and others for their lack of success. They never understood this is a numbers game and only a few will make it. We have all kinds of people trying to trip you up as an actor, a filmmaker and now we have political ideologies to deal with. I have been tripped up by both the liberals and conservatives.
Some people take it all too personal, for me its just an occupational hazard. Most people come out here with just dreams, no talent, looks, and willing to pay any price for fame. It takes years to develop a talent and learn the 'business' of this business. I got screwed on my first film even though I made a profit. The company was owned by two people who were jewish and one Irish Catholic gal. They took advantage of us four yahoos who made a film. That wasn't their fault, my ex- partners blamed them, I didn't, that was business. As the saying goes fool me once shame you, fool me twice shame on me. I made it my business to learn the distribution game and found out what my rights were and what corporate law protected me.
Now, no matter how slick that person is across the table, if he or she is jewish, gentile, catholic, protestant, mob connected, out of their mind egotist, I can talk their talk so they will know I am not some kid, that fell off the turnip truck a week ago. Its about earning respect and letting them know they can't break you no matter what they do to you.

Karl Marx was a Jew. Perhaps Marxism is the by-product of a deeply Jewish philosophy which, in turn, is the by-product of a long history of Jews having to take care of themselves as a group. This could be why many in the Jewish population are dedicated liberals. They get "communism" on a philosophical and intellectual level.
Most liberal policies are simply based on a watered down version of one of Karl Marx's philosophies. Read Karl Marx and you will get it. Unfortunately, and even Karl Marx admitted as much, the theory breakdowns when put into practice and human nature takes over.

The average Hollyweird Jew is not the same as the Jewish people in Israel. The Jews in Israel are, for the most part, extremely religious people…the Jews in Hollyweird only worship themselves. It would be the same as putting all Polish people into one basket and saying that every single one of them is the same. That would just be ignorant.
And the writer is absolutely spot on by saying that the Christians are the most loyal allies of the Jewish people in Israel. As a Christian, we know for a fact that God will bless us if we bless them.

Mr. Crowder was analyzing the difference between "Hollyood- centric Jews" and their practicing brethren on a number of issues such as abortion and war. The point of my comment is merely one could make pretty much the same comparison between Hollywood-centric "Christians" and those that still practice Christianity (e.g. often referred to as the "Christian Right.") The comparison would be between, oh say Tim Robbins, and a member of the "Christian right" and the differences would line up much the same way as Mr. Crowder describes. The differences would most likely be expected between those that favor the secular over the spiritual.

Part of it is historical. Many of the most prominent and influential Jews dating back to the early 20th century were first or second generation Americans and their experience with conservatism was of the European variety. European conservatism has very little relation to American conservatism and historically it has a tendency to be anti-Semitic. European conservatism also has its roots in the old Aristocracy, which because of its elitist, paternalistic and strong, central government tendencies was sympathetic to the ideas of Fascism and National Socialism. And of course many Jewish immigrants in the early 20th century were adherents to socialism so they were automatically drawn to the Democrats while others were repusled by the GOP because of its conservative label.

Lots of Jewish actors over the decades have looked plenty Jewish, so a name change was not a real disguise. You're not going to look at Edward G. Robinson and think he's Amish.

I had the most fun negotiating with Menahem Golan while he ate big macs. We never made a deal because he wanted my film for free and I wanted his entire fortune. " He always cracked me up and I know people that have sued him for years and never collected damages.
People come out here with degrees, big egos, but no street smarts. I knew a jewish lawyer who was brilliant guy, and a friend and a few other jewish executives from a major indie distribution company took his 4 million video advance and went south. He went after them and won most of it back but it took years. He always thought I was nuts for not signing their deal. In the end he told everyone that I was the luckiest guy in Hollywood. Now both this men were jewish and that had nothing to do with their deal. They saw away to get their hands on his advance and they took the chance.
This is a game of business and you must learn it so if you ever have to you give it back to them, and they don't like that when the filmmaker out flanks them, you have the knowledge and guts to do it. About a six months ago, I met two gals who had just made a feature film and they wanted some advice from me about dealing with a distributor I knew. I told them some basics and it seemed that the light wasn't going on in their head. Too much Hollywood dream smoke was around their eyes.
So it hit home, I asked if one of them owned a home? One said she did, I told her would you turn sign over your home to a stranger on the promise they will give you money if they sell it? Treat your film as if it was your home. You have a piece of equity you get paid for it and if you have to go through hundreds of them all until you get a cashier's check, then that is what you do. If not sell it yourself and cut out the middle man.
Money is the juice that runs this town and you have to figure out a way to get as much as you can from them, no matter what their race, religion, creed or who they vote for. As I told a few executives from Orion, that the only way they are going to make a dime off MY film was that they were going to give me the deal I wanted. There is a whole world out there and I will find the one guy that will pay my price and then and only then will that person make money from my film. They were blown away when they agree to all my terms but the advance and I walked out. A week later, the entire town close up for me but I am still here… selling my film in spite of all the polka we played for twenty years.

It would be instructive to study Jews who live in southern rural areas. In my little home town in south central Georgia, the beneficent Jewish store owners kept us going during hard times (which was practically year in and year out).
We recognized they were "different," as in they didn't attend the local Baptist church. They were also "different" because of their energetic spirit and magnanimity of heart. This is documentable. The Atlanta Journal Constitution ran a six-page spread on this topic in the '90s, which included pictures of the much-beloved Max Smith (department store owner).

Of course the Jews run Hollywood, what kind of question is that? They run most of the media, and they would have it no other way. They long ago figured out that 'he' who controls the information getting out (i.e., the media), also control what people think. They learned that from the Nazis and their control of the German media, from which started a systematic negative campaign against the Jews, and we all know where that eventually led.
The problem I now have with the Jews controlling the media however is that they too are trying to control what people see and think, thus pushing their own liberal agenda for the most part, in many ways. This is especially true in Hollywood, but also in the MSM and on editorial boards all across America. America is a stronger country when we have a diversity of opinion and we don't have that right now in Hollywood or the MSM. Jews should be sensitive to this fact, yet they act as though this system in place is normal. It aint, and the mere fact that these quasi-opinion pieces, like the above one, keep being written is evidence that Hollywood, and the American media complex, have a sense of guilt about their 'Jewishness', or their dominance in the industry. By the way, have we discussed the nepotism angle on this yet?
Jews may control Hollywood, but "Jewish" they are not. They (for the most part, it seems) are Godless & amoral.
They will be Jew, Christian, Muslim, atheist, agnostic, whatever- if it serves their purpose at the moment. If I were really true to my Faith, I would reject all of it- however I, like a lot of people, make my selections of what to watch through the filter of my Faith & Patriotism. That's why most of the left-leaning, Christ- humiliating films fail so miserably (still waiting for Golden Compass 2, how 'bout more Stop Loss). All the current rhetoric does is shorten the list of actors, directors & producers I will support with my hard earned dollars.
I like your realistic approach to solving the problem – get better at the brutally competitive business of Hollywood by being able to defend yourself from shucksters. This same advice needs to be applied to how we deal with the Soros/New York Fed/Goldman-Sachs/US Treasury/Schumer-Barney Frank-et al nexus (almost all Jews, by the way).
However, your post and Stephen’s tend to make it more difficult to fight back because there is a problem with the Jews in Hollywood that no one is allowed to talk about. Anyone who does is immediately slapped down as racist, the bugaboo that most terrorizes all who are concerned about the next several decades of their Hollywood career.
In other words, to complain about Jews is supposedly racist (not that it can’t be in many instances). It works to isolate and ultimately blacklist the victim. This is a pure Alinsky (another Jew) strategy to shut up the opposition.
Take Mel Gibson, for instance. His movie The Passion Of the Christ was trashed months before it came out. On the TV shows I watched, it was almost all Jews, one after the other, after the other, after the other, after the other.
It is almost as if Jews are supposed to be perceived as infallible in our media. There was no legit forum for Gibson to point out the truth. Instead, it might have very well spilled out of his subconscious while he was drunk.
This type of scam is a real pain in the ass.
My point about this is that both you and Stephen tend to make it harder to go directly after the racist Jews in Hollywood, calling a spade a spade. Your’s is the better answer because you say deal with it and beat em, meaning anyone in Hollywood, at their own game, but you still tend to deny that Jews as Jews can be an issue. Stephen also wants to obscure the reality of their ever being a Jewish problem by saying that the Jews that conservatives complain about aren’t real Jews.
I don’t have the numbers at my fingertips, but from my experience they don’t hold up in Stephen’s favor. Overall, many more Jews are liberal than conservative. Here in San Francisco, as an example, many of the Synagogues are filled with liberal Jews who, though religious, do not intend to perpetuate the same values as the conservative Jews.
If you look at elections, Jews tend to vote in favor of the liberal. What I mean is that the problem has to do with the majority Jews in America. Trying to say that they are not real Jews is nearly irrelevant.
We end up with a situation in which non-Jews can’t complain to Jews about other Jews who are acting out as racists because they are in one way or another, if tacitly, told tosit down and shut up.

I would argue that in the Christian realm, there is a greater diversity of opinions, so it is hard to pigeonhole such a large group. Jews unfortunately are not percieved as being 'diverse'. This is partly due to stereotyping by others, but also because Jews tend to be monolithic in many ways and insular for sure.

Bravo, Steven! As a Mexican, Jewish woman, I spent most of my adult life on the left, thinking that's where I belonged. Dennis Prager and others, inspired me to move to the right. Now I am a proud Republican with Libertarian leanings. Unfortunately, it is a lonely place to be; when I tell my fellow Jews I am a Republican they look at me with shock and horror; as if I'd just said that in my free time, I like to drown kittens. Sad but true!
First, I'll self-identify as a Hollywood Jew–2nd Generation even, since my Mom was an actress in Radio and I direct TV shows and write. Second, not only do MY kind of Jews–i.e. faithful and conservative ones–NOT run Hollywood, but even the lefty ones that SEEM to run this town do not, either. The string-pullers at the top have long since become non-Jews OR those who wear their alleged faith as a badge, not as a driving force in their hearts and characters.
Further, I ask all Christians to understand a bizarre but real uniqueness we have–Jewishness is both a "faith" (a colleciton of religious and moral beliefs and practices) AND an actual ETHNICITY (bloodlines, etc. etc.) and this makes it more complex than virtually any other titular religious identification out there. Therefore, it would be more accurate to say that Liberals run Hollywood, and MANY of them HAPPEN to also be titular ethnic Jews.
I also offer some historical context for you to consider: While much of the Christian world is friendly to Jews and supports Israel these days, it was not always so–There literally were signs up in hotels in the days of Vaudeville that said "No Jews Or Actors" and here in L.A. for one example, Hillcrest country club on the edge of Beverly Hills was created by the Hollywood Jewish community because they were excluded from the rest of the toney golf courses in town due to their ethnicity. Being in showbiz (along with medicine, the law, and financial trades/professions) was one of the few arenas Jews were allowed to compete in, mostly because proper Gentile society considered showbiz to be a gutter in general, regardless of the faith or ethnicity of its participants. IT was okay to LAUGH at the clowns but not to BE one. Consider all this, please, when wondering about Hollywood Left Jews. It'll help you understand, and please know we're not all like that.

This post is too broadly drawn along the "religious Jew = good, secular Jew = bad" lines. There are non-religious Jews who are very moral and conservative, and there are practicing Jews who are dyed-in-the-wool liberal. I don't see how Hollywood is a "cesspool of immorality" and I think very few people are not pro-family; I don't see why wanting to allow alternative families or practices makes you not decent.
I'm also not sure that there's support for Hamas or anti-Christianity, unless disagreement with Christian ideas makes you anti-Christian. Christianity includes so many aspects and interpretations that a negative portrayal of one or some Christians is hardly a critique of all of them.
As something of a relativist myself, I think that there are right and wrong acts but just because you accept that doesn't mean you must accept whole particular codes. We should also question our own beliefs so that we don't keep proudly believing faulty, harmful ones.
This is a really disturbing blog simply by the fact that the Jews are being targeted as the ethnicity to scrutinize in the obviously vast ethnic and religious pool of those who work in Hollywood. So its not the good Jews who run Hollywood, only the bad ones. What are we left with according to Crowder? The implication that the Jews still run Hollywood, albeit the bad ones.
Crowder also makes very interesting assertions about practicing Jews, stating that they tend to be very conservative in world view. Where are the figures for such statements?
You don't even need to deeply analyze this blog to see how wrong it is. What right does anybody (especially somebody not even Jewish) have to divide an ethnicity of people into good and bad based on a conservative belief scale, and then to add insult to injury, imply that all non-conservative Jews are morally bankrupt. A truly ignorant and mean spirited blog entry.
