Lonewolf Diaries: The Obama Era is Over
by Steven CrowderRejoice! While yes, Barack Hussein Obama is still our president, the era of radical liberalism running amuck, unchecked by mainstream America is over. As the Oval office becomes more and more tainted, Americans are slowly coming back to their roots, embracing conservative values and finding their inner anti-hippie. Are you guys as stoked as I am?

It’s no secret that Obama’s approval ratings look terrible. Considering how early it is in his presidency and just how much the media loves to cuddle up to the ol’ guy, the numbers make a bolder statement than we’ve seen in years. People aren’t buying the leftist parlor tricks anymore. The days of selling America as an evil empire and the Republican party as the power-hungry, war-mongering oil-men are over.
See, unlike when Bush’s approval ratings started dropping (where he was consistently railed by the media, Hollywood and SNL), Barack Obama is aggravating the American people, in SPITE of having everything set in his favor (be it the press, the House, the Senate or Comedy Central).
The numbers reflect more than simple disappointment in the new President’s lackluster performance. They are a symbol of the American people flipping the proverbial finger to not only Washington, but to Hollywood and the good old boys heading up the entertainment industry’s establishment. Americans are saying “Hey Natalie Portman, Lorne Michaels, Green Day and Sean Penn… We’re not listening to you anymore. Stuff it high and hard you toolbags!”
It’s not that the United States has really shifted from right to left, as we’ve always been a center-right nation. For a long time however, Americans gave the Hollywood elite a free pass on their anti-American crusade because in some sense… We saw them as an underdog. After all (up until 2008) more people voted for George W. Bush than any other president in history, and he was a pretty polarizing figure, so the Hollywood folks had a right to complain.
The general American public hates to step on anything that they could see as a “minority” and so we let them be. And so the tinseltown propaganda machine became more powerful than ever, and unbeknown to the American public, they began to permeate our values. A war supported by the vast majority of Americans slowly lost approval (despite the policy in how it was fought remaining very much the same) and Americans took a rip-roaring economy for granted. For a while many Americans felt guilty for being just that… Americans.
All that’s changed since Obama’s inauguration and has recently been crystallized by the Van Jones fiasco. Despite all major news outlets sweeping the story under the rug, Americans were appalled by the man.
The best way to explain the sentiment would be to compare the American people to volatile teenagers; Sure they’ll claim that they’re parents are out of touch, uptight jerks but ultimately they want a real adult at the tiller of the ship.
In the same way, there are plenty of Americans who will accuse the country of mediocrity and point the finger at our “misguided patriotism” but in the end… They do NOT want their leader to feel the same way. They want our governing body to be the “man” against which they can rebel, not a mirror-image of themselves.
Once the “American Idiot” concert stops and the kids go home, they want someone who’s going to set an example for them, not another mascara-laden, horomone charged punk-rocker.
Right now, America feels like it is being run by nothing more than the kids’ table. Which is why, as more of these Van Jones-like incidents arise I think you are going to see a conservative revival the likes of which have never been seen.
Sean Penn, get your bunker stocked and ready.

Very well said, Steven. If Americans want real adults to help lead this country, we should all step up to the plate and support http://www.Goooh.com. Tell the politicians to GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE!
He's a lame duck.
Sorry, that link not working. goooh.com Hope this works!
I hope you are not being too optimistic. I can only hope you are right

The ratio of democrats to Republicans in NYC is 5:1 yet they seem to always elect a Republican mayor. An intellectually honest lifelong liberal once called in to a talk show and put it this way [para]: “I understand our ideas are naïve and ill thought out which is why I vote for the Republican.”
"Americans gave the Hollywood elite a free pass on their anti-American crusade" Not I.

The American people are indeed pissed, and the day of reckoning is fast approaching. The liberals are in such a hurry for that very reason, the American people are not full on barking moonbats, but inherently conservative and the political pendulum is swinging right. We have a year and two months of this disaster to endure, and we vote them out in 2010. We will get Barry in three years and two months 2012, don’t let your guard down.
Well, I wish I could be as optimistic as you Steven, but since the majority voted him in based on his teleprompter skills or to soothe their white guilt, I have no confidence in the American voters for now. I mean, what else did they elect him for, his administrative experience?
Great point about his numbers being worse than they appear, though, because of the MSM and Hollywood in his pocket.
Anyway, I hope you're right.

Do you REALLY want to know why Obama is doing so poorly?
The answer is simply this –
Even ordinary Americans who have only limited understanding of the health care argument realize that there is no reason to rush through a 1000+ page bill without a reason, especially when you don't even know what's in the friggin' thing.
How do so many Americans feel about Obama? Two words:
LYIN' SUMBYCH
Ah, Steven. Such a waste of a cute face stuck to a malfunctioning brain. The Republican party is going to die in the next five years, or undergo a complete renovation. Anyone who studies politics can easily see that they are struggling immensely, mostly because their ideals and values seem to contrast completely with their actions. It's okay that it's scary, but don't be too worried.
'Americans are saying “Hey Natalie Portman, Lorne Michaels, Green Day and Sean Penn… We’re not listening to you anymore. Stuff it high and hard you toolbags!” '
Alright, how about decently un-famous comedians also stuff it? Or did I miss your qualifications to be a political analyst?
I hope the American people really are waking up to this nightmare.
Americans really don't like totalitarian regimes. We're funny like that. BUT! We also have short memories, collectively speaking.
…The Dems are creating a HUGE opening for the GOP in '10 and possibly '12… but the GOP has proven itself stupid enough to ruin such a gift. Republicans need to find both their voice and their balls. No more of this RINO nonsense. STAND ON PRINCIPLES, BE PERSUASIVE, AND DO NOT BEND TO POLITICALLY CORRECT WINDS.
People will not follow a party that doesn't know what it stands for.
Conservatives need to be just that… CONSERVATIVE. That message always rings true to hard working Americans.
I think the Dems have cut their own throat, like you Steve,… but the Reps have a habit of kicking themselves in the nuts. I hope they prove me wrong.
Steven,
I appreciate the optimism, but I think you're celebrating too early.
It promises to be a long, hard slog, bitterly fought to the last bit of absurdity.
And then the real dooms of deficit and debt loom.
Things promise to worsen ere they improve.
But let's keep at it.
Chris
yes Crowder is that
I believe if we can get through the rest of this year with out any of the far left bills they have proposed passed, we will be OK till 2010. After they return from Christmas break they will all be in campaign mode and will be very leery of passing anything too controversial.
I agree that Americans are discovering their inner Ant-Hippie.
Obama 'ran' as a 'centrist' and many people fell for it. Now that he is governing in a way that would make any 60's radical thrilled average Americans are deeply unimpressed.

HERE'S THE PLAN AND StLDan IS RIGHT! No legislation in any size shape or form passed through this crazy Congress, nothing, zip, nada…
Make these clowns from both sides of tyhe aisle vote on this garbage with an ELECTION COMING UP!
I think impotent is a better word. They have no argument and their ship is sinking fast. All they have to resort to is the little thumbs down button. Funny when you think about it.
True…let's hope this fool doesn't have another Iranian Hostage Crisis….
444 DAYS OF INEPTITUDE…………………
The news of his approval rating being emberassingly low is the best news I've heard all year long! Finally some good news…too bad none of the MSM is COVERING it. If Bush had this low of an approval rating in his first year We must also remember, Bush didn't have September 11 to boost his approval ratings at this moment in this first year of his presidency…Comparatively Obama's is STILL lower. I wonder if he will even recognize 9/11
Steven, if only it were so. Unfortunately, there are way too many loose screws out there, and no one on the horizon to challenge him. Unless all hell breaks loose, he'll be voted in again. I actually heard comments today regarding Van Jones: "What's wrong with a communist in the White House?"
Mr Crowder is dreaming…
Obviously he believes that this lot will play by the rules and go quietly into the good night just because a few million nitwits just came out of the ether and said what the hell? You people have to understand what it is your dealing with here and we're not sure that you do. This is a full tilt boogie totalitarian takeover of the (what's left of it) free world coordinated with the internationalists. It's actually Luciferian, but that's another story.
Either way it's bad stuff and it's coming to a town very near you and soon… get aware and get ready.
Say what you will about George Bush but when September 11th happened I was damn happy to have a cowboy in the White House! Can you imagine President Obama's response? "well lets sit down and talk and find out what's wrong, why they are acting out. We must have done something . . " GAH-H-H!!!!
The true test will be if we can vote them out legally =- then the people we put in MUST be more CONSTITUTIONAL and thinking about LIBERTY OF CITIZENS not re-election money

You are correct, I had thought of posting about the lack of trolls lately. I guess they are still in here, but remain under the bridge however.
I know that a sleeping giant has been awakened… even though a majority of those who voted voted for him, there is another majority that could have voted but didn't vote at all because they didn't like either choice. Well, I think a lot of those are now speaking up because they suddenly see how they will be affected, adversely, by the radical policies coming down the pike.
I am proud to be a teabag and even prouder to NOT be a toolbag.
Steven, thanks for coming to Austin on Saturday for our Texas Tea Party! You were great…
Stop it James, my head is already too big to fit through the door
Well said, Mr. Crowder!
America is figuring out that Obama wants to completely take over the health insurance business in order to accomodate the 15% of Americans who for various reasons aren't covered. One thing ALL Americans know whether they are willing to admit it or not is that the federal government couldn't run a lemonade stand. We hated the stimulus enema now he thinks he can cram health care down our throats. Something is about to hit the fan and it is all going to end up on the dems faces.
try http://www.goooh.com
The period "com" in the original link is messing it up.
Really, why does Sean Penn even live here in the US? Really. Can anyone tell me why? Seems to me that he should live more accessible to his pederast friend Chavez. I like to think that my neighbors are, well, AMERICAN, and that if times were really hard, we'd all pitch in together, trusting that as AMERICANS we'd be there for each other (you know, kind of like a community or society). Uber liberals like Penn aren't trusted, hate the US, despise all of us "lowly" AMERICANS. I can't fathom with all his money why he's still here?
I’m a coward. Negatives turn me into jelly – haha. Some space cadet said I gave myself negatives because I was proud of the red icon – but I would rather do without it. I just like to say my 2 cents. And read 2 cents from others. And btw, I had a normal Icon for 3 months then one day I called Crowders humor “Juvinile” and the icon went red like magic – same number only they put a minus sign in front of it.
I agree with dcase. Crowder is Panglossian like Christian post-millennialists or new age utopians. ________Here's some true material showing that Obama's presidency is Luciferian/Satanic and will not fade away but grow and persecute Christians, conservatives, Republicans, non-apostate Jews, and traditionalists:________The UN, which is now pusing a world currency as the US dollar dies, regularly invites a new age occult channeler to their SEAT (Society for Enlightenment and Transformation) in NY & Europe. The channeler channels a spirit named Kryon. Kryon tell a group of UN elites to make peace with the Dragon and that Satan/Lucifer is really a good guy and loves humans. Obama will now be the 1st US president to chair the UN security council. The UN is also tied to Lucis Trust which is very influential in world affairs. The Lucis Trust was originally Lucifer Publishing. Lucifer Publishing and the Third Reich of Germany had their foundation in Theosophy which was founded by HP Blavatsky in the 1800s thank mainly to her channeling spirit named Kuthumi. Kuthumi is now channeled through many new age occultists. Kuthumi praises Obama and his socialist policies.
What the Republican party had become has already died. A number of us (who post here, BTW) have already killed it. It's Phoenix moment is that it will rise as the Conservative Party (We just haven't changed the name yet). This time we tell the north-eastern liberals, country-club blue-bloods and RINOs (Republican's In Name Only!) "Pi$$-off. Join our party, and take up our values and you can stay. Otherwise, don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out."
Before you start prophesing about Conservative Republicans, you might want to take a hard look at your own party. And look at all of the blue-collar voters that are leaving the Democrat party and coming to our side….
All I can say is… I hope you're right Steven, I hope you are right…
The Obami is all over the kids' channels right now – working on the ones he missed today at school. I think the title on at least four Nickelodeon channels is "You Have the Right to Get Schooled", or some such B.S. As I was flipping through, I briefly saw him on election night. They are determined, and not going anywhere without a hell of a fight.
"proud to be a teabag…even prouder to NOT be a toolbag" Love it!
Crowder's executive power is stymied because his term is almost over or he faces overwhelming opposition in the Legislative branch? Wry observation, ddaichiro!
From the minds that brought you, "I can't walk the dog now, Dad. I'm mowing the lawn." "I'll mow YOU!"
Imagine what he might have done! Dang, he might have done something really stupid — like invade a country that didn't have anything to do with 9/11 while letting the real criminals get away! Thank God Bush was there!
I agree Steven. People are tired of seeing him. He already made a fool of himself once this week with this speech to kids. Tomorrow he will do it again. Can we say, Obama don't go away mad, Obama just go away…..
D have you seen Obamawan's polls lately. I am all for logic but the pessimissm is a real downer and kills momentum. You'd be very wrong btw. Very very very wrong.
Suzy, you seem to be laboring under the common misapprehension (one of many, many purblind misapprehensions of the hubristic Left), that conservatism and the institutional Republican Party are co-extensive. They aren't.
Bravo, Steven…and yes, the band, (hypocrites) that made millions off the back of 'American Idiots' are looking a bit long-in-the-tooth to be wearing mum's mascara.
They are very serious, but I don't think the military would go along with our own Tien an Men Square, and I don't think they are going to manage to get the blue helmets on our streets. This is however the time to throw them back, because if they have enough time to consolidate power they might get away with it.
I have never been so certain of the return to conservative values in my life. What is happening in this country is amazing! Everyone I talk to is on the same page. Everyone that I talk to that voted for Obama apologizes. I feel better about my country than I have for years.
We may have to pass legislation to UNDO them, because they may very well ram the health care seizure through this year. They have been claiming it would not go into effect for a couple of years, and if they don't ram it though effective next year we can undo it without too much mess. If they try to ram it through without a couple of years lead it will be so obviously flawed and unworkable they will be slitting their own throats.
"Juvinile"? I had no idea Crowder was a fan of FC Juventus.
Are you guys as stoked as I am?
By giving a context-free diatribe in a retard echo-chamber to motivate yourself? Hope that helps you making the cut at tee-ball too, Stevie! Wheee!
Steven, you're completely right to praise the true spirit of the American people. Obama will never "transform" this country into his social-utopia because of the resolve of the people of this wonderful country. But did you watch today's Trifecta on PJTV?? (sept
How can we stop the man from lauding praise on totalitarian dictators throughout the world? We saw him miss an opportunity to stand for freedom and true democracy in Tehran, and he has done it once again with Honduras. If America does not stand beside these people, who will? The real tragedy is not what this administration will try to do within our borders, but the harm it will cause outside them.
Yes, because the Republicans have shifted towards the left recently… that's why I hope they die.
Conservativism and Republicans are not joined at the hip, contrary to what Bill Maher and Keith Olbermann tell you.
If we could get a Republican House in 2010 Obama will never get a chance to kill your Grandma again.

The Obama era has suffered a set back but what the country really needs is reform in Congress. While unemployment hovers around 10% and many Americans are losing their jobs and homes, Congress is living high on the hog jetting around the world on money borrowed from the Chinese (which we and our children get to repay with interest), enjoying their lavish perks which include an excellent health care package and a pension that most Americans (even the shrinking number of employed ones) can only dream of. It is time to reform congress. Both parties are guilty of leading our nation to the pathetic condition it is in. If we throw out every incumbent for the next three election cycles we can change the face of congress and weaken the two parties that have hijacked the government of our country. Elect NO incumbent and we will slowly start reclaiming our country from the party cronies that have landed us in to this mess.
Elect NO incumbent and drop by

Don't forget that approximately 1/4 to 1/3 of that 15% are NON Americans!
Thanks for agreeing. I am confused because usually you're such a toolwipe, but if even you can figure it out…
hope the American people really are waking up to this nightmare.
Phooey! I just realized that I am going to have to endure Obama even after his term – on TV show after TV show after TV show. Nutz!
Time to dump Buckwheat.

Steve, I hope your right. I have no optimism – right now – other then all of us – there is absolutely nobody protecting the chicken house (the country) from the wolves. The wolves are in charge. Absolute power gives them carte blanche to knock us flat. It makes you wonder : What the hell this country will be like in a year from now? How bad will this get ………….
The trolls are really pi$$ed today, after I posted my comment above, everyone above me had been marked down to Zero.
I think your election analysis is correct; what tipped the scales was McCain's truly horrible campaign plus the fact that people hadn't yet caught on that Obama was just a really good reader. He probably should be news anchor at one of Chicago's network affiliates, but that's about it.
I believe the single defining moment of the '08 election was McCain's idiotic grandstanding on the wrong side of the original spendulus package. You could feel the conservative support start to wither away from that moment.
As to what's next? We'll see. I remain skeptical, as I have nothing left but unbridled contempt for the intelligence of the majority of (non-political) Americans.
Oops…another comment of mine to moderation. I used the "A" word again ("an@lysis").
This is really silly.
The majority that voted Barack Obama in was slim… and sadly, many Republicans wouldn't get off their tushes to vote because they were disappointed in McCain's weak, RINO nonsense. A larger number did go to the polls because they were actually voting for Sarah Palin, not McCain. I have faith that America has waken up and that the conservatives who stayed home last November will be voting in droves so large that even ACORN won't be able to offset them with their phony voters.
I agree with Steven… and those TOTUS "skills" of Obama's have been mocked enough that fewer people will be suckered in as they were "back in the day." A lot has changed since November 2008. And much more will change in, oh, say, another week, and then ANOTHER week, and so on. The One's Hallmark-inspired "power" is crumbling like sugar cubes in Koolaid.
You aren't helping. Seriously.
People are not going to take this lying down. There will be massive demonstrations and who knows what else coming down the pike. dcase, the totalitarians are not going to win. We are.
I am still very angry at those who didn't vote for McCain, knowing what would be the result of Obama's election. How could they? They knew how bad and how dangerous Obama was and is — how could they not do everything they could do to stop him? Instead, they GAVE him his victory. I am so angry at them.
Obama wants to turn us into a Communist nation. He's serious. I'm serious. What are we going to do about it?
Money talks even though Michael Moore denounces capitalism (he is charging for the showing of his film!). My personal "do not buy, watch, or support" list gets longer everyday. I highly recommend making one…very empowering.
I love the "buycott" of Whole Foods…brilliant strategy!!!! i need to start a "buycott" list! Suggestions????
My prediction is that Republicans (and I am speaking as a Republican) will shoot themselves in the foot and Obama will win reelection. While you're right that America is probably center right, it is not EXTREMELY right. Most of the mouth pieces for the GOP are EXTREMELY right wing and put off most mainstream Americans. McCain lost it because he chose an EXTREME right winger for his VP pick and because he lacked the "coolness" to match up with Obama- being a weak sauce moderate had little to do with his defeat.
Here's the truth: when Republicans refer to the president as "Barrack HUSSEIN Obama, wildly accuse him of being a Kenyan and Muslim, make claims that all blacks are criminals(which many people actually DID imply during the Gates-Crowley aftermath- just look at the comments on Crowder's blog)- many Americans witnessing this behavior feel they've been transported to a 1930s Nazi Rally. People are deathly AFRAID of today's Republican party and will probably do whatever they can to see they don't gain power.
Meanwhile the average Republican/conservative doesn't realize they are off putting. And quite frankly, they probably don't care. But the key to the Democrat's success is they at least do a good job of PRETENDING to listen. Which is why they've got at least another four years of power.
Oh it's over…only thing Obama doesn't know it yet. Bwhahahaha!
He's nothing but a shucking and jiving agitator. I truly hate this man and everything he stands for not because of his race but because he represents everything evil that resonates from the leftist zombies. Democrats are no different than they were 40 years ago except they hate what the US stands for more than ever. Yet it's these greedy bastards that get rich off us….people like Piglosi, Reid, Rangel and Murtha. Now if those four names don't make you want to go take a shower you got problems.
The Obama administration has been a huge benefit to good old USA. I have never seen such emotion against the left. Yes we are abandoning those poor people in eastern Europe, but not for long. The left is revealing themselves at the worst time for themselves: just when they have made an ass out of themselves over Bush.
Barry, the eternal campaigner, is at it again. Did the US apology tour, snubbed Israel while showering our money on the Palestinians, snubbed England, talks nice to Chavez, eases sanctions on Cuba, cuts off aid to Honduras for not reinstalling a wannabe dictator, won't make the tough calls on Iran and North Korea…
And now, as Sanmon mentioned, comes this, he'll be the first US President to chair the 15-member UN Security Council. So much for US leadership, the UN will become where the real action is!
How long ago did I say all he knows is campaigning, the last stop is UN Secretary General? Now that he's ingratiated himself with practically anyone that hates the US and alienated us from our allies, and done his level best to wreck the US while putting us too far in debt to help anyone, next step is getting used to working with the organization, spending face-to-face time with the representatives.
If only this time he'll have the decency to quit while running….
I just hope the MSM doesn't succeed in making Glenn Beck out to be just a nutcase who occasionally weeps on tv. He's to thank for this Van Jones thing not just fading out of the news. Good thing Michael Jackson was already dead. (I didn't mean that how it sounded.)
" Anyone who studies politics can easily see that they are struggling immensely, mostly because their ideals and values seem to contrast completely with their actions. It's okay that it's scary, but don't be too worried."
Having no values (except that there should be no rich people besides the ruling elite) is pretty easy to live up to. Just point fingers at those with higher aspirations whenever they fail to meet them. Have you ever considered a career in (democrat) politics?
Don't you just love annoying clueless liberals? I do. My favorite is to sit in the parking lot of the local grocery store with the windows down and Rush turned up.
If you consider that Obama was running against a demonized President and an often bizarre opponent in the midst of two wars and an economic meltdown his 7% margin was telling. This too, with the entire main stream media acting as an extension of his campaign. This Country has never been statist in nature which is why Obama lied about his positions on things and pretended to be a "centrist". Unfortunately for the Democrats, he and their Congressional leadership lack the brains to govern from any point but their narrow ideology. They are already road kill. Good riddance.
Suzy, I ain't no Republican but I am disgusted with the Socialist agenda being forced down our collective throats. And just a hint, why not try studying politics a little before you get your mouth confused with your arse again.
Oh Caca, Not one of those!
If only you were as concerned with the qualifications of the people in this adminstration as you are with those of a political analyst on a blog.
Michael's still dead, just like Ted. Mary Jo Kopechne is still unavailable for comment. Michael Jackson dead is of only microscopic interest. While I admire his initial succes- where else but America could a poor black kid from Gary Indiana grow up to be a rich white woman- his descent into madness, hubris and pederasty leaves me unmoved at his death.
so skip TV and read some books.
Where's the birth certificate? Where's his college transcripts? Where's his grad school transcripts? Where's his passport records? Who actually wrote the teleprompter-in-chief's books? Inquiring minds want to know- they don't pretend that obambi is the Messiah.
Ah yes, Cass "All Your Organs Are Belong To Us" Sunstein. His idea seems reasonable until you start to realize that it presumes that your internal organs are not your propoerty to dispose of as you wish.
Not only that, but average Americans have read the bill and shown up in enough places asking serious questions (questions their reps cannot answer) that the Imperial Senate and The Won have no clothes. If private citizens can read the thing, it's no defense for them not to have done so, and when Gibbs admits that the President himself has no plans to read the bill, it only makes people angrier.
Our leaders are supposed to do their job not rule us by whim.
Dcase, I don't disagree that what we are seeing represents the international Left's "big move," the reality is that we're still not, for all our sissification over the last five decades, some third-world backwater where thugs can simply roll in and take over. We're 300 million strong…and armed. We also still have some vestigial collective memories of both the glories of political liberty and the miseries wrought by Communism and other "scientific" despotisms. The overt subjection and enslavement of the American people is simply not as cut-and-dried a matter as you're imagining. Given a couple more decades of preparation, then maybe. But they've pretty clearly jumped the gun, and in the process destroyed all their slow, methodical years of work convincing people that their aims are noble and sincere.
