Throwing Down With the Governator
by Steven CrowderBefore all of you Californians get upset, be sure to ask yourself… Is there anything being said in this video that’s untrue? Besides, Arnold is the one telling it like it is, so you’re beef is with the big Austrian… Not with me.
“If California goes, so does the rest of the country.” – Dear God, I hope not.

Steven, you've captured the real Arnold: "I lied"! At least you got him to admit that much. It's too bad Obama won't admit that he lied and keeps right on lying.
That wasn’t the real Awnold Schwarzenegger? Any luck finding results of the stimulus money, …you know the shovel ready jobs? Very funny again Steven.

this is why i am a candy bar kinda gal….
California native here. Sad to see the state going to pot in a handbasket. Part of the problem here is that we get so many people from other states, who move here with their wacky ideas and wacky lifestyles. Then they register to vote. We'd be a red state if it weren't for all those people from Ohio living here.
I'm a California native, too. I remember when Arnold was elected. He TRIED to fix things and got no support from the whacko California legislature OR from the public (in a special election.) I love my State, but I'd leave if I could.
New Jersey lifelong resident. Watch your backs on the Crappy Spending Contest, we're gaining….
I grew up loving California and have been on vacation there 3 times – absolutely gorgeous state. Over the years my husband and I have even discussed moving there. It makes me very sad to think what is happening out there. Seems like California Dreamin' has turned into a nightmare.
Talk about disappointment. I feel like my breasts have been groped, all without benefit of even a steak dinner.
If I wanted a tripling of my car tax, I would've stuck with Gray Davis.
Who by the way, all of us Californians owe a big fat apology to.
It's still a great great state…with the worst politics. If you can afford the high taxes and high cost of some cities (SF, LA) it's a great place to live.
Pale Kevin McHale???? What are you transparent. Kevin McHale makes Marilyn Manson look like George Hamilton : )
Problem is he didn't try very hard with those initiatives. He sat there completely silent for 6 months while the unions whined "He's gonna starve the children! He's gonna throw your gramma out on the street!" and a ton of other sh**, then whined a bit the last week or two about why the people didn't love him. And he never once asked Tom McClintock for advice. The one man he should have been working with, if he was serious about controlling spending, he gave the cold shoulder. Arnie is another Hollywood pretty boy, and is clueless about the serious business of fighting for what's right in the public arena. It's all about being pretty for him.

Steven, you just figured out that California sucks? I could have told you that and saved you a trip.
These days, California is just the warm version of Canada.
P.S. In the video, you said our debt was in the millions. I think you meant billions!
Tre US government pays $7,834.72 for a shovel. Shovel Ready jobs are a premium today.
Are you saying Steven has debt envy
Arnold seemed very straight forward in your interview. Steven STOP WHINING! Move to Canada if you don't like our debt it is only going to get larger!
/sarc off
when the judge overturn the voters approval of prop 187, I moved from the state. I had hope that arnold would turn it around – but in the end, the kennedy got the best of him and california
California once one of the most Vibrant Economic Forces in the World much-less in the U.S. is now flat on it's back broke. Just a microcosm of what the Fate of the rest of the Country will look like in a Far Left Socialist Utopia. Fore Warned is Fore Armed.
Yes. I have often griped about a lack of the choice of the Transparent race whenever I apply for a job…
Here in Texas we had to produce power for California for a while during the brown and blackouts at the Presidents request. Producing extra Power for California used up our Natural Gas Reserves increasing the cost of fuel. The power utilities calculated and passed on the extra cost to California since the cost increase was their fault. California took our utility producers to court over the price adjustments and won so in the end the average Texas Electric customer ended up subsidizing Californian electricity with higher fuel costs. Thanks Cali…
Well done, SC. More like this.
I think the problem was that he tried too much at one time – 4 different things – instead of working on 1 (succeeding) then starting another. Plus don't forget the unions spent over $100 million in negative political ads against him.
I'm 58, a native Californian – and remember through the 1950s and 1960s California was the envy of the nation. No, the world. We were the center of innovation (since the 1920s, really), schools, roads….
Today California is near the top of the list for "business unfriendly" states. Even California Companies like Apple and Intel when expanding go out of state. Too much red tape.
Then too California's heyday happened when we had a legislature that – like Texas – met only every other year. Then we had to change that and now they – well, too many laws.
And don't forget our initiative process – created in about 1910 by Gov Hiram Johnson to thart the influence the the SP Railroad – now every wingnut with money gets something on the ballot – from "medical marijuna" to high speed train (which the people, in their wisdom, passed despite a budget that is billions in the hole…
I could go on, but have to walk the dog…
Aha! Someone else is irritated by that ridiculous word-shortening. It makes me crazy when some teenager shortens every other word, and just squeeks and grunts. Like you're sooo busy and important you don't have time to say a whole word?
Yep the same "environmentalists" who drive SUVs and enjoy the benefits of 20th and 21st century technology tie up in court for years any attempt to build new power plants – and nuclear power? Forget it.
There is probably no other place in the world where you have desert, mountains, redwoods and beaches all within 4 hours.
Well, I was surprised visiting Whistler Mtn in Canada a few years ago – 40 miles takes you from 7,000 feet elevation and beautiful mountains to the ocean – but their beaches aren't too good for swimming.
