I applaud your parody, although I am proud to say I am only familiar with Olbermann from his days on Sports Center or when a clip from one of his rants shows up on somebody else's show. As a matter of fact, I haven't watched MSNBC during this century since it is possibly the lamest excuse for a so-called "news" channel in the history of television. I figure if libs like to bash conservative commentators like Rush Limbaugh out of context, I ought to be able to do the same. Maybe the guy actually says something worthwhile when I'm not listening, but I seriously doubt it.
It's not gonna be hard to beat Olberman's three viewers, two on the nights his Mom play's bridge….

The only part that you got wrong was that Olbermann would never actually have a guest on who disagreed with him. It's much easier to demonize people when there's no chance they could interrupt you or possibly make a point that you're not prepared to respond to because it's not on a teleprompter.

I am sorry for saying this was not funny & juvenile so I guess my post deserved to get deleted. After another look, it is funny. My favorite part is how the witty comic portrays “himself” as a rational fair innocent soul saying “the truth is, I don’t like her as a judge because of her principles and her policies…” and the wicked Olbermann rudely talks over him. But the real Steve likes to say “Obama is North Korea’s Little Punk” and “Speaker Pelosi is ugly and should be water boarded.”
Olbermann is the number one threat to conservative propaganda. Every episode of his show is loaded with facts and research. If you have never seen it, take a look. Show me one item on Countdown you could call not factual. Show me one clip on youtube where he has a guest who isn’t allowed to speak uninterrupted. Seriously, the far right needs to start showing some real backbone. Smoke and mirrors will only take you so far. But the thing is, this ain’t a game, the future of the United States is at stake.
Steve wants the career boost by being mentioned on Countdown. Good luck with that. Maybe Keith will throw you a break.

The purpose of this web site is to give Conservatives a voice in Hollywood, the entertainment industry and pop culture in general. Liberals make no apologies for co-opting those three things for the last 50 years. Why should we apologize for beating them at their own game? You're a big fan of research but obviously didn't do any yourself. Nielsen ratings came out today and MSNBC was third overall for all combined dayparts. The guy you keep saying is a "threat" is being annihilated by FOX News Channel in the coveted 25-54 year-old demographic at 8 PM Eastern (670K viewers vs. 320K viewers) and by almost double the total number of viewers at the same daypart (3.4 million vs. 1.1 million).
320K views on MSNBC probabaly seems like a lot until you do some research and find out the fact that a single Steven Crowder YouTube video has 303K views. One video on YouTube (a site that generally skews younger than the 25-54 demo) has almost the same number of total views that the 25-54 demo has during prime time audience on MSNBC.
Saying an artist can receive a "career boost" from a mention on a show on a literally third-rate network with half the viewers of their competitor and only slightly more viewers than a Web video produced on a handheld camera is wrong.
You really should have done some research before you posted your lies.
If your number one liberal bulldog in the media plays to an audience of 1 million while his "ever-so-evil" nemisis Bill O'Reilly is watched by 3 times that, 2010 is going to be so much fun.

I'll have to agree….Olbermann was pretty good in regards to sports and I enjoyed watching him on ESPN. But then he went over to news/politics and it was like watching a totally different person. I now have no respect for the man and he did that to himself.
Why should we be compared to the liberal media? Rush may have his opinions but they are based on fact and he is backed up by fact. The reason he drives them nuts is they can't prove him wrong. It's the lib media that have Obama going from Hollywood (you haven't seen nothing yet) to Cairo to appeal to the ultra conservative Muslims in the same week. This excellent video reminded me of the syndrome I see on all of the news shows. They invite a liberal and a conservative to discuss the topic du jour. If they start with the liberal, he/she spouts their nonsense while the conservative, usually on split screen, listens patiently, maybe rolls his/her eyes or shakes his/her head with a smile. Then it's the conservative's turn to talk. He or she doesn't generally finish the first sentence before the liberal interrupts to argue. The conservative tries again, but the liberal continues to talk over him/her. On Fox, the host may try to shut up the liberal long enough for the conservative to get his/her point across. On the other networks, I wouldn't put money on it.
Which is one of the main reasons I stopped watching news shows. There's more courtesy and decorum in a playground fight…

Ah, the joys of trying to debate liberals. I remember debate in high school, and I'm pretty sure that at no point did it include shouting down your opponents so that they never got a word in edgewise or were able to complete a point. And yet, for libs, this is all it is. And it's amazing how many times you go YouTube to watch segments of "debates" between conservatives and liberals where this exact thing occurs – Behar/Coulter – and the libs commenting think that Behar wins simply because she's louder and manages to talk more.
It's like they can't see "stupid" at all.

I noticed last season on "Football Night In America" on nbc that at about week nine, Cris Collinsworth would physically turn his chair and his person away from Olbermann during the in studio segments. I know that Peter King is a fan of Olbermann's sensationalism and politics, so he has been complimentary of Olbermann in the MMQB on SI, but it seems to me that some of his coworkers do not enjoy Olbermann's shtick. Apparently, his shtick does shtink.
I would like to know how normal, air breathing, rational bipeds can tolerate that guy on a professional level.
As a lifelong football fan, Olbermann's presence makes NBC's presentation very unpleasant. I think it's funny that Collinsworth's body language reflects my own abhorrence of Olbermann.

Its so true…lefties knock O'Reilly but he regularly has people on who disagree with him. Olbermann demands sycophants (maybe its the nature of the beast, he knows he'll lose any well reasoned debate).
I'm worried that Olbermann could get Howard Stern Syndrome…that is, his ratings will increase because a decent segment of his viewers hate him and watch simply to hate him.

There’s really no advantage for me to attempt to debate you. I do not deny a large number of people watch Fox News. MSNBC does have an audience. What makes Olbermann great is the consistently informative and detailed content. I could care less if you and others here deny that. Steven Crowder felt compelled to satirize him, correct? The portrayal was not at all accurate except for Olbermann’s style of long sentences and emotion which always comes out in his infrequent special comments. He never prevents a guest from speaking freely, but rarely will he have a guest with a strong opposing opinion. I am guessing many of those he reports on are offered the chance to defend themselves but decline. There is no doubt Olbermann takes the high road.
That was hilarious!! I have only seen Olberman a couple of times (can't bear to subject myself to any more torture of having to watch him!! He is soooooo annoying!). He seems like such an ARROGANT, pompous, pretentious, angry man.
Has anyone noticed that the yakking heads Keith allows to appear on Countdown all look exactly like him? Same nerdy Ashley Banfield specs, wet, fishy lips, hair that looks like Mom spit on her hand and ran her fingers through it. I'm sure if the cameras were allowed to pan downward, we would see the same wide birthing hips that belong to Olberboy.
