Lonewolf Diaries: Barack Obama is “Not My President”
by Steven CrowderI know, I know. It’s cliche and trust me, I hated the punks/celebrities who wore those slogan t-shirts throughout the Bush administration as much as the rest of you. The day Obama was elected, like many of you I told myself “Well, I didn’t vote for him, but he’s my President and I’ll support him.” A few months later, times have changed and I feel the need to officially declare that Barack Obama is “Not My President.” If you disagree, feel free to smack me around a little. If you feel the same way put your John Hancock down below and make your voice heard.
Seeing as the “Green Day Liberals/American Idiots” started the whole “Bush is not my President” schtick and their new album is dropping this week, I couldn’t think of a more appropriate time to issue a retort. Granted, the men of Green Day have had to overcome a lot to attain the success they enjoy today. It’s not every day that a group of legally-declared midgets can produce platinum-selling albums. Folks, I can give credit where credit is due. Rather than accept this success on behalf of the “little people” however, Green Day (along with other generic punk bands) had to start the “not my President” crusade against their commander in chief during a time of war. Punk bands even collectively put out the “Rock Against Bush” album which was eyebrow-raisingly sympathetic towards our enemies. Some would call it treason, I call it “a-bunch-of-uneducated-toolbags-playing-power-chords-in-an-attempt-to-brainwash-the-youth-of-America.”
Considering that “fascism” was the justification for the punk-rock community’s public hatred of the former-president, one has to imagine how they feel today. Their own liberal buddies are in charge of everything from the White House, Congress and Senate to the mainstream media. Combine that with the biggest government takeover of private companies that we’ve ever seen (along with the biggest spending increase, of course), and I’m starting to think that maybe a “Rock Against Obama” album might hold a little more water. I wouldn’t expect to see that from Green Day however, for one reason only; These people are idiots. I’m talking borderline Biden-esque in their level of stupidity.
Folks, I support Barack Obama “the President,” really I do. Whether I voted for him or not, he was elected as our Commander in Chief. When one looks at the actual DUTIES of a president however (which is in short; To preserve and protect the Constitution), anyone with a brain (barring some kind of Sean Penn-type learning disability) can see that Obama has gone far beyond the parameters of his calling.
When Barack Obama tries to continually weasel his ever-expanding government into the private sector or does something like try to sneak the biggest backdoor tax in history into the books, he ceases to be “Presidential.” When Barack Obama acts with complete disregard for the Constitution (and American principles) he is no longer Barack Obama the president, he becomes Barack Obama… “the man.” I would even go as far as to say a very bad one. Yes Napolitano, you heard correctly. Come and get me toots.
Let’s say for a second, that you hired a plumber to fix your sink, only to come home and find that he’d decided to dry-clean your clothes… And did a terrible job of it. Naturally you’d be upset and “unsupportive” of his douchebaggery. You didn’t HIRE him as a dry-cleaner, so why would you have to pay him as such or even commend his work? In the same breath, why do I need to support Barack Obama with his company takeovers and creepily intruding government?
On Presidential issues such as national security, the preservation of life etc., I’ll support Barack Obama with all of my heart.
As for all of his other shenanigans… Well, I think it’s time to “Rock Against Obama.”
Who’s with me?

I agree he is not my President. This guy is a complete failure..,
i'm in.
If only I had musical talent. But I would be happy to write some lyrics.
Anyone with open eyes can see that Obama is trashing the US. His budgets are projected to produce an 18 trillion dollar debt. He's Impeachment Bait if you ask me.
He is not my President either! first time in my 37 years I say this about a President. I have no respect for him and I cannot support his radical policies and his background. I don't trust him! and this has nothing to do with the color of his skin! I voted for Clinton first time, second time I didn't because of the "bring back family values" policy, you can't bring back family values when you yourself as a leader have none. Thank you for this article it's very good! I'll make sure to send to all my friends and retweet it !

Wasilla, AK
I'll buy that CD! Sign me up for that one.
Now onto Green Day. Green Day are the biggest phony posers around. I'm from the Bay Area and I've seen then go from being unknown artists to the wannabe political idiots of today. The funny thing is, those idiots were NEVER political, EVER. ALL of their horrible pop wannabe punk albums were about NOTHING. Just pop garbage. They were never considered real punk. Then they blow up all over MTV and all of a sudden, all these albums later, NOW they're jawing about politics? These IGNORANT RICH White kids know NOTHING. They're just being sheeple and pandering to their sheeple fans 'cause it's "cool" to be anti-conservative in the media. What's even funnier is they're ALL CAPITALIST business owners! They own successful restaurants and indie record labels. Bunch of phony socialists.
Im with you……Obama has already disrespected this country in ways the drooling masses could never understand. He has sold the soul of this country for political power and destroyed more than a few giant chunks of our economic foundation. He makes no sense when he speaks and makes all mistakes when he acts. He really is a disaster, the likes this country has never seen before.
The more well read and educated about economics and history you are……the more you realize Obama isnt. Why else would someone do the exact opposite of every logical thing possible?
This is the first time in my life i feel i am more qualified to be President and would do a better job than the current office holder…..i couldnt do any worse…..
Rock on!!! Great blog!
Totally with you Steven!
Oh yeah! Barry is the President Jimmy Carter always wanted to be a leftist whack job extraordinaire. An anti-Barry CD would be a lot of fun. Does it have to be Punk?
I second that wolf howl.
"Let’s say for a second, that you hired a plumber to fix your sink, only to come home and find that he’d decided to dry-clean your clothes… And did a terrible job of it."
That pretty much sums everything up.
Douchebaggery certainly applies to the current resident of 1600 Penn Ave.
Barack is not "presidential", he was not "senatorial" he is just "political" I support and respect the office. I cannot support this or any other man who works to bring down or overturn, take your pick, things I believe to be right and true. "Question O-thority". Much more
http://shermansmarch.blogspot.com
I am with you Steven. I believe he is doing more harm then any other President in history. But its seems to be the whole democratic party not just him.
I ceased having a President on Nov. 6th, 2008.
On that fateful day in November, for the first time in my adult life I was not proud of my country.
Oh and if you need musicians for the album, I can play punk on my harmonica.
I'm in
How 'bout the plumber creates a sink hole in the front yard, throws all your possesions into the hole. Fills it with water and concrete, tears down the rest of the house, puts up a tent and charges you $2000. a month to live there. Then he juts his chin in the air and looks down his nose at you while fingering his Harvard tie.
Punk on a harmonica? That's frikin awesome!
Thanks Steven, I just stay amazed at the complete lack of concern for our country from the media and people that wants our country to just be silent and follow Obama like puppets.
Christ, at that point he might want to duck because I am going to be chucking lead at him.
I'd settle for a president who did nothing, absolutely nothing over the guy we've got now. He's dangerous.
I totally agree
The sector that unemployment is rising fastest is blue collar white males. They are the specific segment of the electorate that the next GOP candidate NEEDS to relegate this socialist POS to the trash dump of history. The GOP needs to start POUNDING a simple "it's Obama's recession" message at these guys DAILY!
It is easier to say and accurate for me to say the Republican Party is not my party. When you cannot win against a candidate that clearly stated his views through talk and actions. Well it is time to look inward and not blame the other party. We did this to ourselves. Own up to it. You cannot change what you do not acknowledge! Or expect another 4 years or maybe 12 years for that matter.
I don't get how punks can be modern day liberals…you're supposed to be against mainline society not with it. If they were anarchists I'm cool with that, then they hate everyone. Or Libertarian, but they are only "liberal" because they are atheist and despise war and some are even, oddly enough, hippy environmentalists. Handsome Dick Manatoba from the punk band The Dictators calls the Fat Mike crew idiot hippy punks. (Fat Mike is from NOFX who put out the rock against Bush cds.
Spot on Steven………….spot on!
Bumper stickers say it best "I will give your president the same respect you gave mine"
Wasilla, the home one of the two most powerful Republicans in America today. God Bless Gov. Palin, and Godspeed in 2012. There will be idiot trolls making tired jokes and trying to diminish her for what I say, and everyday she grows in stature. Her intellect DWARFS Obama.
I took my American flag down on coronation day. The next one to to up will be the Gadsden flag. He ain't my president or commander in thief!
I got in line here to add my name and was told there's a three hour wait. It will be worth it.
Whoops, somebody from DHS just did a drive by survey, I may have to run.
Then you sir are a fine patriotic American. We salute you!
The problem is Pravda.
Remember that scene in Airplane where the Russian reporter read copy with a pistol to his head? That's our news media … with the added complication that there is no gun. They're lying, cheating, and stealing with open, dewy eyes for this President.
The average person believes what they hear (I'm not a left-winger so I don't support the "everyone but me is so stupid" line, but universal repetition of a lie will make it seem true). So when every mainstream outlet is telling us every day that this man is Jesus reincarnated, I doubt this day of reckoning will ever come.
Today alone the AP was celebrating the new auto-emission standards, saying that it was "Obama's natural character" to bring a bunch of warring people together to finally agree on a standard. Of course we all know he did this by threatening the automakers with bankruptcy/union ownership, firing CEO's who disagree with him, and using the TARP funds as leverage against states. Does the average person know this? Does the average person reading that summation come away with "oh this was a bunch of skullduggery and trickery, not even in the name of something useful"; or do they come away thinking, again, what an awesome cool intelligent unifier of a President we have?
As long as he has the media in his pocket he will be untouchable.
The guy is looking more like Chavez everyday. He really is acting like a dictator. Cars, you WILL buy these. Debt, you WILL pay it off. Healthcare? You WILL take mine.
When did we sign up for King George the 6th?
False alarm, just the CIA looking for Nancy.
He was however "community organizational".
Talk about American Idiots ! They can't even see we are living the words to thier song… "One nation under the new media"…
I am SO glad I am out of the military, it would make me vomit a little every day to have Obama as my Commander-in-Chief. I really forsee another rash of veterans NOT hanging their honorable discharge certificates on the wall, as happened during the Clinton years.
I got a bass and an attitude and frequent flyer miles
Yes, living in Wasilla but getting ready to move to PA where I am from. Have been in Wasilla for 11 years and have loved every minute of it but it's time to move on. Gov. Palin is a very wonderful and smart woman. She does not care what people say or think. She does what she needs to do for the people. I don't agree with all of her policy but it's not enough for me to not support her. There are several groups that are dedicated to Gov. Palin and 2012. She is making people kick themselves, they will never wear her down or destroy her, she is too tough and too real for that!
AMEN! I believe that the people with the Obama stickers supporting him and those who voted for him should have to follow his policies and pay his higher taxes and join his army of idiots. Leave the rest of us alone! I didn't vote for him, I cannot support him and sleep at night, so I shouldn't have to follow his destructive policy. I think they will all ACORN, Obama, etc will hang themselves with their dribble. They won't get away with it.. not if "We the PEOPLE…" start speaking up!
James, I was trying to phrase that correctly and had mental vapor-lock. Well put. Hey, I've got a question to ask you, could you contact me at dac50@go-concepts.com?
http://shermansmarch.blogspot.com
That perfectly encapsulates my feelings on this. Why the heck should we be nicer to him than they were to Bush? As a conservative, I had issues with Bush, but nothing he did justified the kind of hatered and disdain they poured on him on all issues at all times. And now I'm supposed to put all that aside, and show respect for a guy who really is a tyrant — a guy who is everything they claimed Bush was? Forget that.
Sign me up for your bumper sticker.
never was never will be
yeah and its not just crappy wannabe "punk" bands like greenday that brainwash the youth of america but also teachers at my school do aswell. there hasn't been a day that my us history teacher hasn't talked bad about either bush, limbaugh, or any other "conservatives" (even though i wouldn't exactly call bush a conservative). in fact i've come into his class reading mike huckabee's book just because i knew it would piss him off.
and i agree with what alecj said, i honestly believe that even i would be a better president than obama is right now and im only 17
Nope, not my President either.
Crowder is way off base in his assessment of Green day.
Namely they're not men.
Maybe hermaphrodites.
Or dwarves.
Hobbits with too much makeup?
But, definitely not men.
Thank you so much for saying this! I am sick and tired of my fellow non-Obama voters saying that we must not become like the Bush derangement crowd. The BDS crowd 1) HATED Pres. Bush on a personal level, thinking nothing of saying things like they wish he'd die, 2) they hated him on the basis of lies!
Those of us who refuse to support Obama's ideas do not hate him personally. We don't wish harm to come to him. And our case is not based upon fabrications, but rather on what he has said and done and continues to say and do. In other words, it's based in fact. We despise his policies and what he's doing to this country, and it's high time we SAID that and stopped cowarding in the corner because we don't want to be compared to the BDS crowd of years past.
There is NO comparison here. None! I will not bow to this man. I will not support his policies. And will not stop speaking out about it any time I get a chance to do so.
Just one caveat, Steven, and all the rest of you who refer to the President–any President–as your Commander in Chief. Unless you are a military man under contract to the U.S. Government, he is not your Commander in Chief.
It's offensive to the very notion of American liberty for any citizen to refer to a President as his "commander." Break that habit, now.
Haven't had a President since W left office. Could never in this lifetime support a left-wing radical, lying, Communist! He hates the United States of America, our flag and our national anthem. His goal is to destroy as much of the United States way of life and freedom as he possibly can manage. His "never been proud of my country" wife is a disgrace to all our former First Ladies!
And where's your proof you are even eligible to be President, Mr. Obama??? No American with a U.S. birth certificate has to pay $1 MILLION DOLLARS to 3 law firms to hide a birth certificate and all prior school and college records, work records, Illinois Senate records… what are you hiding, Obama????
Think in all these foreign records, you will find a man either ineligible to be President solely because he did not have 2 American citizen parents – his father was born in Kenya or worse – that he was indeed born in Kenya and was enrolled and received student aid as a foreign student all through his school years!
Show your proof, Obama!!! American citizens have a right to see it!
unfortunately, chidren- the man is OUR president for four more, very long and painful years. Denial is more than a river in Egypt, so accept the reality. What can be done is urging moderate Dems to block/and or slow down the express train to disaster. Conrad, Bauchus, both Nelsons… and the Blue Dogs in the House are, as Princess Leia would say "our only hope".
Sad, maybe. But 53% of our fellow countrymen voted for this nitwittery and, as the saying goes: you may not get the government you like, but invariably you will get the government you deserve…
and me!
how's that change working for you? but ask anyone that voted for him how it's going, and they say he is great.
what's with that? are they so quick to cover for an abusive boyfriend/girlfriend…no sexism here.
I cannot support someone who is doing everything in his power to bring this great country to ruin. That would be unconscionable.
I've never been a member of the bumper sticker crowd, but if ever there was a sentiment that could tempt me, this is the one.
My screen name is Django. As in Reinhardt. That should tell you all you need to know about what I think of powerchord idiots like Green Day. And you can add those poseurs REM to the list.
I called and asked the President
Tell me where the H@)) my 401K went
Today I talked with my Boss
Man my job is now lost
Chorus:
No way No way I ain’t gonna play
That Tea will be going into the bay
No way No way We won’t be bent
Into the River the Camellia sinensis will be sent
They told me I could go back to school
But after I'm out I gotta go into your voluntary workers pool
then to find work I gotta convince a bureaucrat
that I will be his government stoolie rat
Chorus
Now I gotta a job and to be a Patriot
you say my taxes gotta increase a lot
If I tell you I am gonna dissent
You tell me I will be paying rent
Rush Limbaugh pretty much nailed it on this issue.
I accept that Obama won the election, and is therefore POTUS. I do not question his legitimacy. I do question, indeed disdain, his judgement as POTUS. I do not want him to fail, but his policies are doomed to fail, which is bad for the US.
Should the Dear Leader establish policies that will help this country, I would of course support him. That is not going to happen, so I want to see his policies stymied for the good of the country.
HA!!!! Very Apropos….
I've been in this club since before the election. Obama's plans couldn't have been clearer than if he had written them in pi$$ in the snow.
And he's been pi$$ing on America ever since the inauguration.
Steven, well said as always. Keep up the good work. Sic Semper Tyrannis!
Asking Green Day style-Obama supporters to use reason on issues like Obama's prosecution of the war in Iraq is pointless.
For most of the twenty-something "Hope and Change/Bush Was Not My President" types, supporting the Dear Leader was not about policy. It was about voting for the man, his pretty speeches, and all the ultimately empty symbolism around him. Obama's actions in office are to be un-critically accepted because it is the Dear Leader making them.
He's not my President! He's going to be worse than Carter.
The punks have ceased, with Obama's ascension, to be anti-Establishment. You wanna piss people off, go country.
Well said, Carolyn! This man is against everything I stand for. I cannot support him even if I wanted to.
I have to say, you're right. Ever since we bought into "compassionate conservatism", AKA spend like a Democrat but cut taxes, we shot ourselves in the foot. And now, we have no credibility when we talk about fiscal constraint. What a sad mess.
I heard something that either was a slogan or bumper sticker — "Change Back". I could get behind that one.
I got a bass too, so double bass around the house.
I'm in too. He doesn't stand for anything that comes close to American principals or ideals. He is single handedly bringing about the decline of this great country. He is not my president.
True story: After the coronation in January, I told a liberal friend, "I think Obama deserves the exact same respect from us that you guys showed Bush for eight years." Her eyebrows shot up, she looked at me with a genuine hurty-look, and said, (this is a quote) "That's harsh!" They hate it when (in the words of Ted Stryker in "Airplane!") the foot's on the other hand.
LOL! Fortunately, if DHS comes after you, they are using government procured vehicles — you should be able to outrun them in anything faster than a Ford Fiesta.
Obama is not, has never been, will never be, my President!
That would have been Bill Clinton. And if I had to choose between the two, it would be Slick Willie. Can't say I'd like my choice but at least Monica and Paula and Kathleen and Jaunita and Gennifer, etc. kept him from screwing things up too much on our end.
Well, he is THE President as free citizens we don't have to refer to the leaders of our government as "our" leaders. I'm all for rocking against Obama. "American Idiot" was Green Day's best album. That really says something about their music.
First of all……Don't you have to be "BORN" in the USA to be President????????????? Therefore I have concluded……he is "NOT" my President, nor anyone else's. SHOW US YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE YOU F********G PHONY!!!!! Do I sound conspiratorial???
We didn't put up much of a fight with McCain. They went after Palin as though she was the Presidential candidate and I would have been happy swapping the two. She has more experience than our sitting president. But then again, so does my dogcatcher. And she doesn't think of her opponent as "My friend".
November 4, 2009 was the worst day in my life. And every day since then has sadly proven me right why I broke down and cried for my country that day. This man is NOT my president! Sign me up!
Sorry, I meant, November 4, 2008!
(Guess it's more painful to remember the date than I'd thought.)
I wish I had thought to say that to people! I'll have to keep it in mind if the topic comes up.
What do you mean, "if"
Bill Joe liked to say that people who supported Bush and the wars were naive…. i laughed out loud when i heard that…. He's the one who's naive
Well, duh. However, as another commentator also pointed out, unless you're in the military, you don't have a commander in chief. Or any other kind of commander — freedom, remember? Being an American isn't about following leaders, after all. Frankly, my own idea of the best possible America is a country where it doesn't matter who is in the White House. To a free people, it should be a matter of indifference. The fact that it matters so much now seems to be a telling barometer of how little freedom we now exercise as opposed to how much power leaders now exercise over us, and I don't believe that all started five months ago.
Not only is he not my president, he's not anyone else's president either. He's ineligible to be president.
Sign me up! I am in complete agreement, Steven. Not to be a yes man, er…woman, but I have yet to find something I disagree with where you are concerned….except where your beliefs about your bod are concerned. You're sexy, man, get used to it.
Point taken. Scatter everyone!
I have remarked on this a couple of times. About this time last year all you could see were cars literally held together with bumper stickers reading "He's Not My President" and "Question Authority!" and "All that is Necessary for Evil to Prevail is for Good Men to do Nothing." and "You Must Speak Truth to Power." (We won't even talk about the "Torture is Not A Family Value" trope.) Everyone sporting these sentiments undoubtedly saw themselves as in-your-face-and-fight-the-power social revolutionaries who would never surrender their individuality to the dark forces of "government." Boy what a difference eight months makes. These same people are now lining up to emulate Boxer the Horse from "Animal Farm" with the repeated mantra that "Obama is Always Right." Interesting question – Is the Left more dangerous when in the throes of acid-spitting rage or when in the ecstacies of unconditional love? By the way – Who is Green Day anyway?
he is the reason i blog about political shenanagins when all i really want to do is live free from tyranny….
He hasn't done anything I can be proud of. That goes for his Vice-President, too. Count me in.
Count me in. I love this country. I DON'T love Obama. In fact, he makes me nauseous.
This is my first time reading Lonewolf…. i didn't realize that the younger generation was anything BUT left wing nutjobs…. bless you Steven and the other posters.. there may be hope for our country yet.
I believe I have some trout in the freezer, does that count?
(Man I hope that's not a euphemism for something!)
Not my Pres -never was and never will be – I refuse to acknowledge his corrupt and crooked nonsense which includes his cohorts as well. The whole positive "change is coming" nonsense was nothing more than campaign rhetoric – he has proved thus far what I had thought/said during his campaign and since being in office – there will be no change for the good of America, nothing more than business as usual in DC, bigger govt, left winged wakko nonsense, out of control spending and the whole left idea that no one should be responsible for their actions. Its all sickening and 2012 cant come soon enough!
bho is not my president either…I always respected the office and even when clinton was in office I gave respect to the office . Now, bho has changed that. I don't even respect him enough to capitalize his name or even refer to him as president. All the libs say he has just gotten into office, to give him a chance…That's total BS! Good grief what more will he push down our throats in the coming yrs??? There won't be an America I will even recognize!! My heart grieves for our Country……….
Oh yeah I forgot to mention, bho did not win fair & square, he used acorn to steal the election & to add insult to injury he didn't count Military votes! Hell NO he is not my president!
Not my president either.
Frankly, I thought that whole hero worship during the campaign was creepy enough, but the whole drooling, glassy-eyed adoration that continues smacks of brainwashing to me.
Douchebaggery indeed
Agreed with everything you said, haha.
I wonder how difficult touring will be for bands like Green Day with all of those wonderful efficient new rules for vehicles…
Yes sir. I'll e-mail you tommorow afternoon. I would now but I'm knee deep in reading for a short semester class. Is that ok? Thank you Mr. C.
She'll be fine. The jackals that constitute the MSM and the SNL crowd are intimidated by a confident, smart, beautiful Pro-Life woman that is an executive and walks the walk…I smell fear…stinky liberal fear. Good luck in PA. My Grandfather was from Hazelton…way back in the olden days. Been to Philly…ya…nah. Good cheessteak though.
I , too, would be fine if he would limit himself to being my President.
I didn't vote for him, but I believe in the Constitution,
and have sworn oaths to defend it.
He is NOT my King, economic controller, Apologizer-In-Chief or Car Tar;
since that is what he wants to be, I don't want him as my President either.
Trouble is, he IS THE president, for good or ill. And it is looking ever more like it will be very ill indeed.
And the head of the Republican party is talking about 'big tent' – fixing to abandon the party's conservative base.
Fool don't remember that the Republicans only do well when they stick to conservatism. If the Republicans talk like Democrats, why vote for them?
