Steven’s Epic Journey (The “Good” Liberal List)
by Steven CrowderVery rarely does an artist open himself up to the point of being vulnerable. However, during these uncertain times, it is necessary to take risks for the sake of art. Picasso had his brush, Beethoven had his piano and I have my camera. Conservatives rejoice!
I smell an Oscar, people.

Funny, man.
I can name one though.
Ed Begley Jr.
He walks the walk
[...] Steven Crowder searched for liberals from the past and present who are good. You’re going to be amazed!! [...]
Dead, however Sen. Paul Wellstone (D) Mn. was another who believed and practiced his convictions. I disagreed with him on most things, I did however respect him very much.
Well, it must be just as big as the “Book of Portuguese War Heroes”…looking…looking…oh wait…someone just called me for dinner…I’ll keep looking for it, and I’m Portuguese too.
Not Over.
Hmm…I'd have to suggest Aldai Stevenson.
Alan Alda? He's seems sincere about being wrong, consistantly….
True dat!
I loved the closing credits!
"Street Vendor" played by "Andrew Breitbart".
Who is a "good liberal"? Is this a trick question?
Paul Newman was a good man.
Yeah, "Tim Robbins and Susan Biatch"
I'm cracking up not only at your video this week, but also at people's attempts to name a good liberal (remember he said liberal…not democrat). I love this guy!
Paul Newman used almost all the proceeds from his food products for causes he believed in. I gotta respect that.
Ya, good call. He walked the walk. Wealthy, or upper class kid from hoity, toity Conneticutt, but a nice, humble man with immence talent. Glad you included him. Good salad dressing too.
*snerk* Good one Steven.
I third the Paul Newman comment. A good decent man who probably didn't realize he was a conservative at heart.
I'll second that. I may not agree with Newman's views, but at least he walked the walked — and with his own money.
Steven, that was awesome! And well researched too.
For the record, let me add a name: Daniel Patrick Moynahan. He was the first liberal to break with his party and point out the negative social consequences of the Great Society programs. Good for him. Of course, the party ignored him.
And most of the money went to children's charities rather than any kind of political activity.
LOL. The names in the credits were priceless. Crowder does it again!

How about Gregory Peck?
Plus, honestly, I don't have any problem with the idea of "natural foods" either.
On the one hand, I like having alternatives — always give me alternatives. And to Newman's credit, he was about giving more choices rather than taking away choices.
On the other hand, I am honestly a little skeptical about much of what is going on in the food industry, e.g. cloned meats, growth hormones, cleanliness standards.
I could think of a bunch from before 68, but then I realized that today they would be called conservatives.
As long as they don't mess with the bacon I don't care what they do.
Or pie mix, although we haven't seen any of that lately either.
Prince Henry the Navigator?
Yeah the credits had me cracking up too.
There is one liberal who is worthy of your consideration.
This guy brought in a Republican majority in congress. He also single handedly nearly destroyed the feminist movement, setting it back at least 8 years. Even though he was positioned to implement socalized medicine, he manuevered such that it didn't have a chance in heck. He also canceled welfare programs and oversaw the first balanced budget in memory.
I think we all owe a big hand to the Clinster: Big Bill Clinton!!
Right back atcha, Steven.
Isn't that the truth! They like to call themselves "The Party of Jefferson," but he would b..tchslap the lot of them if he were alive today. Or would that be "musket whip"?
About the same size as Obama's new autobiography: "Mistakes I Have Made in Office During My First Hundred Days".
I'm sure if Thomas stepped through a time portal into Congress tomorow, some patriotic Capitol Policeman would let him borrow his taser.
The situation right now would be so much easier to settle if they still allowed dueling in this country too…
I'm the opposite. When I'm feeling particularly ornery, I wander over to Whole Foods and loudly demand to know where they keep the safe foods with all the preservatives! I want Wonder Bread! Gimme MSG! They keep a picture of me at all the checkstands now, and at the entrances too. With a note that says "if you see this person, call 9-1-1." So I just wear disguises.
You and that black guy who thinks he's funny are two of the biggest narcissists EVER…
on youtube, there are 314 comments AND HALF OF THEM ARE YOURS!
hahahahaha Man you're a TOOL !
Your crap is really crap- so it fits perfectly here on the site that is not about Hollywood..but that's the GOP
everything republicans do IS covert.
There must be posters of you all over town, with the caption:
Danger: Unlicensed Conservative
DO NOT APPROACH
Enemy of the People No. 1
Apparently you've seen the Notices section of the San Francisco Chronicle. Or the wall of the local FBI office.
No, I get the San Francisco Politburo Times.
By the way, don't get me wrong, I love me some junk food. I just prefer my chicken to have two legs, not six.
Speaking of Whole Foods, have you ever had their aged, prime steaks? Mmmmmm. . . steak.
Ya man like you are like .. uh.. yu know crap that is really crapo like that 's hard to find I mean and like to find this site you have to like like know how to read. Geezz! Talk about covert!
I mean like the HAHA Man is a Tool like how insightful dood. And let's see half comments uh were uh
Wow man Unicorns! is Gutfeld here too!
What I wouldn't give to see Thomas Jefferson taser Nancy Pelosi and she's lying on the ground going: "Don't taze me bro!"
LOL!! Beautiful. . .
Here's another one that vanished.
You'd rather have two drumsticks than six?
I think it's safe to say you do not make the list either.
hahahaha.
I have a better source for aged prime steaks. My favorite steak house in town is Harris's Steak House, just a block and a half from my place. I've been eating there for special occasions since the late 60s, so they know me very well. Generally you can't buy the aging steaks they have on display, but as I have said many times, I have low friends in high places.
Sure, I've only got two hands.
Yoo sed black guy. Yoo a rascist.
They know you — and they know that you're a conservative? Aren't you afraid some liberal cook might rub some tofu or something against your steak out of spite?
Gee, for "stunts" in the credits I thought we'd see all members of Congress listed.
Or at least Senator Arlen Specter.
Otherwise, well done again.
That's why I wear an Obama button when I'm buying steak, and speak in hushed tones when dining. I'll pledge my life, fortune and sacred honor to my freedom of association, but I ain't giving up my favorite restaurants. Everybody has a price, you know.
The problem with finding a good liberal is that it tends to be something you grow out of. Most Liberals are young and eager. Then they get a job and become a conservative!
The ones that don't outgrow this youthful rebellion become known as "Mentally Challenged".
That goes without saying — never let your principles stand in the way of a great steak.
Psssst. Look behind you idiot…………………………..hi, it's me.
This new software I have is great…IP address…home number…….number of fillings in your teeth……shoe size….those pictures of you and that farm animal……You e-mailed THAT to her……..sweet, got it all.
Remember stooge….I don't like you.
Not Over.
second that. R.I.P. Mr. Newman.
It's ALL about the closing credits!!!
Fat Man #1 Michael Moore
Fat Man #2 Michael Moore
"are two of the biggest narcissists EVER"
Project much?
Well, enjoy viewing this video while you can because it's only a matter of time before the leftist trolls realize that their "ZOMFG Dis Chowder guy suXx0r!!1" replies aren't working and the total views of this vid inch towards six figures… that's when they'll all flag this video for unathorized use of copyrighted music.
Don't think it will happen, huh? Ask a guy named Chuck DeVore about it sometime.
The good news is that I have a royalty-free music backup plan for Steven if he is forced to implement it.
Steven,
If you just want to limit the list to former presidents. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and John F Kennedy come to mind.
Most of those, especially JFK, would be considered rabidly right wing by today's standards. JFK would be considered a theocratic fascist nazi demon devil dog by progressives today.
There are a good portion of liberals who are sweet, interested in cool things like art and culture and make great neighbors. I've had a trying time lately and many liberals have been there for my family. The problem politically is that the good liberals (not the angry types) believe that the key to life is to be nice to everyone and not to do anything that offends or hurts anyone else or smells or uses resources. The problem with that point of view politically, that if one tries to make kindness the law of the land it is by definition coercive. In other words, it's not kind to tell someone they can't drive a certain car or worship a certain God if that car or God makes them happy. Or that they can't defend their family or kind liberal neighbors. That's why I think that any decent liberal is really a
conservative that just doesn't know it yet. Why? Because conservatism allows them to make a green car and me to keep using fossil fuels and prove that by using up resources we learn conservation faster. It also allows them to have a commune and me to use my rifle to keep a company from stealing their land.
Paul Simon, also dead. Perhaps the last honest Illinois politician.
Hey Steven,
Ronald Reagan was a liberal for most of his adult life. He did vote for FDR four times!
Steven, your voice-over sounded like Christian Bale in the new Terminator trailer. I thought that was where the video was headed. You might want to keep that in mind for a future project.
I can't remember who it was, but I remember hearing a conservative actor on the radio talking about how he did a movie with Paul Newman. The actor's conservative view point alienated him from some of the cast, but Newman treated him with complete respect despite their political differences. I appreciated that story.
Did I see Maria Shriver’s name under stunts? Ha, ha. I’ve lost count of her green stunts.
Daniel Patrick Moynihan. Very intelligent man who deserves some real respect. Beyond him, I've got nothing.
They were good, the thanks, the credit for 6 Assistants for Steven and the 2 Make Up Artists. A lot of effort went into that.
I guess we can say, particularly, after reading the other posts below, that the only good liberals are dead liberals.
Here in Massachusetts we've got…, hmmm, well, never mind. So many liberals, and no one makes the list! Maybe Ted Kennedy for providing a public service in warning about the dangers of drinking and driving off of bridges.
Diddy Kong is a liberal? =( But I like racing!
Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, one of the documents that form the bedrock of Conservativism. Liberal, Jefferson ain't.
I concur. For most celebrities, "going green" seems to be a kind of duty. Ed, on the other hand, seems to enjoy it.
Video: The short list of “good” liberals
http://hotair.com/headlines/?p=38664
I'm teaching my kids about liberals. Be polite and nice to liberals but don't ever, ever trust them.
Liberals don't believe in right or wrong. They believe in power. Obama could disembowel a puppy on live television and the liberals would still support him. He has power, and that's all that matters to liberals. (See: Clinton, intern, White House.)
That's why your liberal "friends" aren't your friends. They'll never have your back. They'll betray you at a moment's notice if it is in their interest. If they wake up to conservative values, they are the fiercest defenders of freedom and liberty you'll ever meet, but until then? Yeah. Don't turn your back.
Yeah I begrudgingly give him that he walks the walk
I absolutely loved this Steven! Way to go. Looks like it was very well researched too.
I lived in Studio City, Ca. for a while. I used to see him on his bike, at the bus stop, and/or driving his little electric clown car.
Plus he was a very friendly guy.
On the other hand, I'd see Ed Asner out walking. What a sour puss that P.O.S. was.
Did a gig for him at one of his Painted Turtle camps. Good fella.
Concur x infinity
I've got a couple of very solid lib friends. They've had my back in some pretty dire situations.
I think you're 75% correct.
And through it all, her facial expression would never change. Freaky.
The music and voice-over was hilarious. Gotta admit I guessed the ending – with it being so short, but still a fantastic job! Kudos to you.
I hope your kids are smart enough to dissown you.
Yeah, there are plenty of liberals in my life I can trust including my parents (I bet some of us are also in the boat) the problem is that today's politicized liberal signs on for things that they shouldn't. For instance, what does being nice to Fidel Castro have to do with the environment, gay rights or freedom of speech? He's on the opposite side of those things. What happens when the government healthcare apparatus decides womens' health issues are not a good use of government funds or if government spending goes to a green technology that doesn't work or actually pollutes?
Well, we can't exactly judge today's society in the same way as we judge previous society. The society of the time of the founding fathers was fundamentally different. The Industrial Revolution fundamentally changed the structure of society. The conservative movement of America today was based on the documents of the founding fathers, and very much rooted in the middle class counter culture of the industrial revolution era. It was then that the modern structure of politics really emerged. The values which governed the middle class of society (leading to the enlightenment, American revolution, and industrial revolution era counter culture) govern the right today.
I'd feel a little better about Peck if he hadn't lent his voice to an anti-Robert Bork ad. There are few episodes of liberal behavior more disgraceful than that one.
My kids are smart enough to spell "disown" properly, Rick.
Ha.
I'm with the poster Jack's Mom above. He said LIBERAL, not DEMOCRAT. Big difference. And especially in the last 20-30 yrs. So, work in those parameters and you will probably get a different answer.
Lets hope they do it to, your no better then those religious zealots out there.
[...] 2009 Really, Steven Crowder? You really could not find a single liberal, past or present, “deserving of praise“? [...]
Yes Ol honest Abe was such a lefty he started the Republican party…………. Oh Wait!
In 20 years when Bonnie's kids are having to pay 70% SSN taxes I think it it will be liberals like you who are disowned.
Going to give them nifty prizes for turning in their parents, rick? Can't have those disloyal elements corrupting the youth, eh?
(Anyone notice how the Mighty O-bots never seem to use "your" or "you're" correctly? Is it simple laziness, or some bizarre secret gang sign?)
,,,and now…the zany comedy stylings of…Steven Crowder!!!!! (moose choreography by…)
You funny. You should be a comedian.
I laughed A LOT. Great job!
Excellent. And TRUE! And posted up at mine.
