Ya know, I already have the image in my head of an as-yet-unmade SNL-esque skit wherein a peon is trailing Pres. Obama while carrying his teleprompter. To top-secret meetings, to cabinet meetings, through the halls of the White House while hobnobbing with tourists, into the kitchen for a snack… all the while being dogged by his teleprompter-toting-intern. Cramming into a limo, reading to his kids, trash-talking on the basketball court, singing in the shower, pillow-talking with his wife.

C'mon… I'm just a computer guy, and even I can come up with a baseline for a great skit here!

Then… what about a "gift exchange" skit?

France gave us the Statue of Liberty; we gave them a toy horsie, carved from a piece of wood. China gives us a priceless 3,000-year old vase; we give them a vacuum cleaner with a pet-hair attachment. Germany gives us a jewel-encrusted sword used in some ceremony from some by-gone dynasty; we give them a complete set of Slim Whitman albums… AUTOGRAPHED!

It is just too easy. But, I suppose you gotta be willing to mock The Chosen One. Hard to do in those upper-echelons of Tolerance.

Yowzers, my friends! How about a Three-Stooges-esque romp by the STate Dept? Slaps, and two-by-fours to the head, pies in the face, seltzer bottles, trips, giving some Premier a wedgie, telling coarse jokes at a black-tie affair. (I'm sure you guys at SNL know some coarse jokes.) Hillary getting drunk and hitting on some sheik.

It just freakin' writes itself.

But, ya gotta be a gutsy professional to take that step.

NBC are cowards to the left and to democrats if there is one thing you can not be in comedy it is a coward.

That's why conservatives can't get, and don't deserve, respect in the industry. Hollywood sees right through this. You don't want to topple the beast; you don't want to slay the dragon; you want to suckle at its teat.

(That's a collective "you", not directed at Mr. Crowder, who is certainly talented enough to be a part of the cast).

This is coming from a conservative who is sick to death of the half-assed malaise embodied by Roger Simon et al. You–we—could build our own castle better than anything Uglywood ever built, but I doubt we can respect our own efforts, simply because they are ours. We don't think of ourselves as worthy, and once that stops, we can quit CRYING about the other side and build our own.

The problem, for our side, isn't content; it's capital, marketing, and distribution. But nobody wants to get involved in those things because……?

Didn't A/G Holder say we are a "nation of cowards", because we don't openly talk about race. What a perfect opportunity to open the lines of communication.

Politicians should have a thick skin to absorb a little kidding around. It's part of the job. The ability, not to take yourself so seriously. But lately, thats been a stretch for him. Way too self important.

Unless all that white guilt prevents people from being funny. Comedy is color blind anyway, funny is funny, however you color it.
