How Much I Support Our President
by R.W.J.America wanted change and we got it. Apparently the first thing that changed is that dissent is no longer the highest form of patriotism. Rush Limbaugh found that out when he was accused of wanting the President to fail. How dare he not support our President! According to Jon Stewart what Rush said was almost treasonous.
As someone who did not vote for President Obama, I don’t want to be lumped in with the haters, so here is a list of examples showing just how much I support our President:
- I support him as much as Code Pink supports our troops.
- I support him as much as N.O.W. supports Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
- I support him as much as the Hollywood community supported Theo Van Gogh.
- I support him as much as Nancy Pelosi supports the Catholic Church’s teachings on life.
- I support him as much as Al Gore supports cutting down on his personal carbon footprint to save the world.
- I support him as much as John Edwards supports The National Enquirer’s right to publish pictures of his girlfriend and baby.
- I support him as much as Western gay rights groups support Mehdi Kazemi.
- I support him as much as the Castro brothers support Oscar Biscet’s right to free speech.
- I support him as much as Ted Kennedy supports renewable wind energy off the coast of his summer mansion.
- I support him as much as Bill Clinton supports Hillary’s ambitions for higher office.
- I support him as much as the National Education Association supports the rights of students and parents to get a quality education over the security of a teacher’s job.
- I support him just as much as he supports the right of a baby who survives an abortion to not spend its only living moments waiting to die in a storage room.
I hope that clears everything up. Now could someone please tell what time the oceans are going to start receding because I’d really hate to miss that one.

The other side didn’t give polite dissent about President Bush. It was more like over the top “taliban style” rants that were so vicious in content they were frightening. No polite dissent when liberal websites have bloggers who post they wish they could’ve assasinated President Bush. I defy you to find one post like that about the current POTUS on a conservative website. That’s the difference. Coulter and Limbaugh use brains and logic and facts to debate – liberals use reactionary name calling and threats.

Hooray for BIG HOLLYWOOD! Thanks for saying what a number of us are thinking, and thanks to Rush for speaking his mind. The Democratic Attack Machine is at it with a web site to leave a comment expressing one’s displeasure with Rush’s comments. So, of course, I went on it, gave them an email address I seldom use to register, and said THANKS, Rush! Why doesn’t everyone reading this do the same. They may not be able to catch all the positive comments.
There is a link from the Drudge Report, but it is slow. And by the way, we can’t move to Canada, or even the United Kingdom, as they are all socialist/democracies. I have been to Wales and gas is about $8 bucks a gallon, and the country is bogged down with socialism so much it has nothing to offer an American.

The only time he actively campaigned against a Bill and he voted “present.” No healthcare for an infant that survives and abortion. All because he thought it would be used to overturn Roe v Wade. A few days ago I told a lib acquaintance of mine, who had been telling me over and over these last 8 years about dissent being the highest form of patriotism during his usual tirade against Bushy McChimpHitler, that I did not support this president at all and wanted him to fail miserably. I reminded him of his feelings about dissent being patriotic, and he turned the most beautiful shade of purple.

You are completely twisting the words of the Daily Show and others criticizing Limbaugh. They did not say he was being trecherous for not supporting Obama, they said that it was borderline trecherous to say he wanted him to fail. Wanting Obama to fail effectively means wanting the country to fail. If Obama is attempting to revive the economy, make the country a safer place, etc., then surely those things are in the best interest of all. You may not think that he is likely to find much success, but surely you cannot actively want him to fail. That is nobody’s best interests. There is a huge difference between supporting, and wanting to succeed.
What the Daily Show pointed out was that news organisations like Fox openly accused liberals who they deemed were not supporting the Bush administration of being traitors. Now many are saying they do not support the Obama administration. It is hypocrisy of the highest order, Orwellian in its nature.

That occurred in the 1980s (then, as now) with the assistance and concurrence of the hack Democrats in Congress (working with Charles Keating).
