While Dr. Basso's first video was indeed spot on, he followed it up with a second video, reading a letter at the end from a Marine claiming that the Marine had lost 7 of his 8 man squad (or some number), and "he is so worried" about this country.

This was unfortunate, because up until this point he had been spot on, but looking at the casualty figures at the time, particularly for Marines, it definitely appeared that Dr. Basso had been fooled into believing a lie.

I hope that if he has not done so already, he addresses this issue as this slip in accuracy does great harm to the power behind the message, which I believe to be accurate.

Having moved here from the Llano Estecado to the east coast, one thing has become obvious: small time politicos who use the race card are usually hours away from indictment or conviction. It is pretty much an admission of guilt.

If you had, your career may have been ended by cries of RACISM. The Chicago crowd will not tolerate the opinions of common citizens.

Orwell was a prophet!

Kudos again Mr. Davi.

Mark Twain knew it . We know it. A man's soul is judged by how they treat an animal. Your soul is intact.

How sexy (excuse me...independent minded) are women who think like Monica Dickey?

I think Basso is a hero. How the White House managed to sweep him under the carpet was reported as well as Crash Davis' record breaking hit. I loathe to reference a Saradon flick but the point sticks. Irony sucks Susan doesn't it? BTW. Barbra is awfully MIA lately too. Hmmm. That Israel thingy is kinda tricky isn't it Babs?

The Acidic Ballerina (read Chief of Staff) may have kicked Basso out of the spotlight but his SOUL will never be defeated Rahm. No matter how much dirt you try to throw on us Rahm we are ready for your hits. And twice as hard? I wouldn't call the DailyKos kiddies in your network because the really really skinny thing might sound good on paper but you know what they say about paper tigers.

Just excellent! What a patriot! When some people do not get their way and/or can not back up their positions, they resort to childish name calling, usually involving race.

Historically, one of the most effective tools they have used is to label a person, group, or entity "racist." Apparently, that strikes fear in many American hearts, as that is what I have read over and over again. Maybe it is related to my age, but I was brought up in the time period where bigotry was out of fashion. Therefore, cries of "racism" have never had that effect on me or the people with whom I associate. We have always been "color blind," preferring to judge an individual on his/her character and actions.

I do think, however, that the continued use of the "race card," no matter the ethnicity, is beginning to have the opposite effect. People who had never thought a racist thought are beginning to have them. Therefore, it is my suggestion, that when someone uses the "race card," in the future, simply say these words, "That doesn't work anymore. What's your next argument?" And keep on saying that...
