How to Kill a Terrorist
by Robert J. Avrech
Meet Larry, my buddy from Bensonhurst. Okay, so it’s not Larry. For reasons of security his identity cannot be compromised. But take my word for it, Larry looks exactly like William Powell in The Thin Man. Or not.
Shabbat in the Israeli town of Efrat is a deeply spiritual experience.
The sun falls, gently folding itself into the surrounding hills and valleys. The same Judean hills where Jews have lived, worked and fought since Biblical times.
The unearthly light makes a final golden splash.
My wife Karen and I are visiting Karen’s brother David, his wife Elana, and their four children, residents of Efrat.
Attending Sabbath services in an Efrat synagogue, out of the corner of my eye, I spot “Larry.”
Security requires that I do not use his real name.
We’re both from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, a tough neighborhood even by Brooklyn standards. Together, we attended high school, Brooklyn Talmudic Academy, a tough Yeshiva even by San Quentin standards.
We have been friends forever.
Larry’s parents are Holocaust survivors and as Larry often tells me, his father is obsessed over the fact that so many Jews were unprepared, mentally and physically, to fight the Nazis.
“He’s written thousands of pages about this,” Larry confides.
Thus, it is only fitting and somewhat ironic that several years ago, in an Efrat supermarket, Larry bravely confronted an Arab Muslim homicide bomber and deleted the terrorist.
Larry and I discuss the killing which probably saved dozens of innocent lives, men, women, children and infants.
“How’d you know he was a terrorist?”
“I didn’t. I mean I knew him. He worked on a construction crew here in Efrat. For years.”
“So what made you suspect that he was dangerous?”
Larry is no John Wayne. He’s middle-aged, doughy around the mid-section, has an infectious smile, and wears a yarmulke. Larry is, well, just a regular guy from Brooklyn.
“Look,” says Larry, “he was an Arab worker, we got along just fine. But the day I saw him wasn’t one of the days he was supposed to be here. Also, he was heading into the supermarket, a place he never ever went to. And he was wearing an overcoat on a very hot day. It was all wrong.”
“What did you do?”
“I was outside when I spotted him. I followed him into the supermarket and I looked at his face and he looked, I dunno, spacey, all drugged up.”
Hamas—a proudly Jew-hating and genocidal yearning terrorist organization— often medicate their homicide bombers. Drugs dull the edge of fear.
“How did you know you weren’t shooting an innocent man?”
“He sizzled.”
“Excuse me?”
“He tried to self-detonate. There was a malfunction. I saw smoke. But homicide bombers are almost always armed with redundancy, a second detonator. I didn’t want to take a chance on him hitting the backup trigger. We were in a supermarket. Women and children all around. I drew and and shot him in the chest.”
“You shot to kill.”
Larry nods.
“How did you feel when you saw him go down?”
My buddy ponders for a long moment: “Scared, relieved. I dunno. You do what you gotta do.”
“Not everybody would have had the presence of mind.”
Larry shrugs and half smiles: “Hey, us Bensonhurst kids had to grow up tough, right?”
“I guess.”
We study each others’ faces. We are older, middle-aged, we have children and grandchildren, but we are still our impish and dopey childhood selves.
“Nobody lives in the old neighborhood anymore,” Larry sighs.
“Yup, they’re all gone.”
We step outside where men and women gather before heading home for the Sabbath meal. Friends make plans to visit, share coffee, dessert and lively conversation.
Jeremy, David and Elana’s son is home, on leave from active duty somewhere quite dangerous in the land of Israel.

Meet my nephew Jeremy. Again, for reasons of security I can’t reveal his face, but he looks like Paul Newman in Exodus. Seriously.
A fresh, evening breeze dances through the winding streets of Efrat.
Together, Larry and I stroll along. I press my friend for more information. Details are all important in counter-terrorism. And Americans better get wise to the details in order to effectively deal with the emerging grassroots Islamist terrorist threat. The United States is, after Israel, ground zero for the Caliphate Islamists.
“The Glock is a good weapon when every millisecond counts,” says Larry. “There’s no safety, which can take precious time away from shooting. You can keep a round in the chamber, then just draw and fire.”
Larry totes his Glock in a Fobus speed holster.
“What kind of rounds did you use?”
“I keep hollow points in the Glock, but my spare magazine has full metal jackets. The day I killed the terrorist, I put him down with the hollow points. Don’t want to use full metal jackets in a crowded supermarket, they’ll go right through and kill an innocent bystander.”
“The supermarket was crowded?”
“At that time of day, sure. That’s why it was chosen as the target. Look, the terrorist was here,” Larry demonstrates using his body and mine, “and behind him were several women and children.”
“How close were you to the the terrorist?”
“About fourteen feet.”
I shiver.
Most gunfights, contrary to popular mythology, take place within seven feet. Fourteen feet can seem like a yawning chasm when the adrenalin is pumping, innocent bystanders are all around, and a determined terrorist has his finger on the detonator.
“The full metal slugs would have gone right through him and there’s no telling…”
Larry’s voice trails off.
My childhood buddy is a sweet man, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. There is no bravado in Larry. He’s fine with killing the terrorist, but it does not define who he is.
Me, I’d script a self-glorifying movie, get all aw’ shucks on talk shows, try and cash in, big time.
It’s time to go home and enjoy the evening meal. It’s time to enjoy the miracle of the Jewish Sabbath.
There is an entire culture and religion bent on eradicating Israel and Jews.
We are so few, and we are so vulnerable.
But there are, thank G-d, many men and women like Larry in the Jewish state, the land of Israel.
Larry and I hug.
I say: “You’re my hero.”
Larry chuckles.

Dear Larry,
You da' Mensch!
A man among men.
Well done.
This weekend I talked to a friend who was a Green Beret sniper in Vietnam. "I never felt any remorse over any of the guys I killed," he told me. "Every time I got one, I thought, 'That's one more who won't take out any of my buddies.'"
Unfortunately, in the US this action would have meant a lawsuit and Larry being branded as anti Muslim. Thank God for his actions and the fact that he saved possibly dozens of innocent lives.
"Cry havoc, and let loose the dogs of war"!
Its all in the timing. We have a women who did basically the same think Larry did but she wasn't able to be there before the shooting started. Now to me she is a hero for stopping the shootings at Ft. Hood.
There's no doubt Larry was and is a hero.
I went to college with an Israeli girl. She'd already served her time in the Israeli military before coming to the U.S. She was as feminine as any other girl at my school, but you sure as hell wouldn't want to assault her. She showed pictures of herself, in uniform with an Uzi. Israel sometimes seems like a nation of heroes.
Re the Holocaust. I would rather have been the Jew, marched to the gas chambers for the "crime" of being a Jew, than to have been the jackbooted Nazi thug who took him there.
I hope every Gentile who reads your piece feels the same way. Regrettably, the Obama administration has a decidedly anti-Jew outlook, which is (at least, partly) why so many of us have an anti-Obama outlook.
I've read several accounts of the so-called Six Day War. That story chills and inspires. Anyone who reads a true account of those dangerous days will come away the wiser.
Thank you for the excellent write-up.
G-d bless men like Larry; willing to stand between evil and innocence.
This is an awesome piece. It teaches so much, but raises so many questions. What was the follow-up? Was Larry hailed as a hero? Were other members of the terrorist's cell rooted out? How can we learn more?
Unfortunately it will probably take a few blown up stores, clubs and buses for many Americans to wake up. They just want to live in their little fantasy worlds where nothing bad ever happens and life is always fun. Try to burst their little fantasy bubbles and they get very angry. That is one of the reasons they love Obama, he told them terrorism was all Bush and America's fault and now that He had come, He would bring peace to the world and they would no longer have to worry about those types of threats anymore.

Welcome to Israel. I enjoy your posts here on Big Hollywood and sometimes check into your Seraphic Secret site. Great work!
Your fan in Bet Horon.

We were in a supermarket. Women and children all around. I drew and and shot him in the chest.
That's my definition of gun control.
wow. awesome. sobering. reality.
That's the whole problem with this administration and its supporters. They live in pre-9/11 world where muslims don't kill Americans on our own turf. They think that appeasement and diplomacy will make those murdering bastards "see the light".
One does not reason with a rabid dog, the dog is put down before it can hurt someone.
Great story. We all need to wake up, especially after what happened last week. Everyone on TV might be bound and determined to avoid the "terrorist" label, but we all know what this was.
damn liberals…
You couldn't count the difficulties Larry would have faced on four hands here in the USA today
Yes, he would have been a hero to the average person but the investigations on his character, gun permit etc. would go on in the press for weeks.
Wonderful story that we'll never hear about from our loser main-stream-media
In the community of Efrat, Larry is seen as a good man who did the right thing. Heroism is an uncommon common virtue among Israel's citizen soldiers. Follow-up was conducted by the security services and all information is classified. In Israel, most people know how to keep their mouth shut. Intel means the difference between life and death.
Indeed, Americans are discouraged from defending themselves because of lawsuits, imprisonment, and personal persecution. It's disgusting what our society has come to. Can someone explain to me why the police had to come to the rescue at a military base filled with trained soldiers?
Personally, I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6…..
Israel IS a nation of heroes. Larry is my hero, too, Mr. Avrech. G-d bless Israel, G-d help America!!!
Americans had better wake up fast. Im so tired of the filth infecting my beautiful country!
As the late, great Jeff Cooper said, "Two shots, center of mass, then look. If he's still standing, one shot to the head."
Well said, Sharon. Thank you for that heartfelt reply.
Please,what's a terrorist?
George Washington was undoubtably one in the eyes of King George the 3rd.
Menachim Begin was one in the eyes of the British who lost 23 nurses to the bombing of the King David hotel by him and his cohorts.
The Israeli "settlers" are also terroristic when they demolish the homes of those not sharing their ethnicity.
The Afghani's and Iraqi's see us as terroristic.
I could vomit from disgust from the over usage of the silly, nonsensical word "terrorist".
Good for Larry, and thank God for the warning sizzle.
Well Done, Kudo's
A terrorist is a deliberate act of violence against civilians and non-combatants.
The desire to legitimize the doctrine that "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter" is a jihadist tactic which aims to justify Jew-hatred and mass murder.
In fact, the Irgun made three phone calls to the British high command warning them that the hotel was going to be bombed. The British chose to ignore the warnings.
First, thank you for your reply. I always appreciate authors who read and respond to comments.
I am somewhat surprised that heroism such as this would be uncommon. I could understand people not surmising the situation. It is harder to believe that someone who did would not have also tried to stop it. My impression has been that the potential for this type of incident is never far away. I would suspect that many are prepared, but never actually have to take the action required.
Unfortunate that things like this need to be classified. A little more information might wake more people here up. The problem is that it also teaches the forces of evil how to be just a little more surreptitious next time.
Thank you for a truly eye opening piece. Americans do not understand the daily threat of terrorists in Israel. I was devastated when 72% of American Jews voted for Obama. I have told my Jewish friends that they no longer have the right to lift their glasses and claim "Next year in Israel"-they have abandoned their fellow Jews.
As Bibi says there are three great lies told about Israel – one of them is about the "Palestinian land". Israel was ATTACKED by Arab countires in '67, they were not the aggressor- miraculously Israel won the war and in doing so took over land that they won in the war. The U.S. would never ask any other ally to give up land that is rightfully theirs. Maybe the Arabs shouldn't have tried to destroy Israel…
Comparing the Palestinian situation to the Holocust is just one of the many disgusting statements that has come from Obama's mouth!
Here is the reality: The Palestinians , the Iranians and other Islamist countries want to wipe Israel off the map-how do you make peace with someone devoted to destroying you?
As a Christian I stand in solidarity with Israel and weep for the lack of the truth in the U.S. view of the "Peace Process"-Thank God Israel has Bibi…
George Washington fought British Military troops. He did not intentionally attack non-military targets. He did not blow up parts of London. George Washington = American Patriot
The Israeli settlers, do not bomb the people out of their homes. The israeli settlers may not be friendly neighbors to the Palestinians but I wouldn't call them terrorists.
"Some of the Afghani's and Iragi's see us as terrorists." Usually the ones who want to force their Countries to become Radical Muslim's or hard core communists. I cannot understand why the "Progressives" are willing to allow Millions to die in foriegn countries without a peep. Cambodia, Viet Nam, and Iraq, to name a few. Is it ok because you don't know them, or is it because you don't care?
The term Terrorist describes someone who uses intimidation or violence to force people to accept the terrorists point of view. Usually by targeting the innocent. I hope you never have to personally come face to face with Islamic terrorists. You my poor misguided friend, wouldn't even have the chance to surrender. To them you're just dead meat.
Sadly, there is a very large cross-section of our country that simply cannot seem to accept the fact that there are enemies out there who want to end us. I agree that is why Obama's line of drivel appealed to so many. I shudder to think what it will take for them to truly understand what we are up against.
I think Robert answered your question…
No, go and report to your statist masters what you have learned…we DARE you…
This story made my day !!!!
Rule # 19 of "Rules for a Gunfight"
"Decide to be aggressive ENOUGH, quickly ENOUGH."
Well done…Well…done !!!
Wonderful!
Now we have yet another way to be labelled "Jew haters" simply by spending some time considering what the word terrorist really is.
By the way,evn if there was a warning before the King David hotel was blown up,that would still qualify as terrorism by your own definition.
How about if the leasor of the world trade center(Larry Silverstein) were given warning by the hjackers about the impending assault, would that mean that the event wouln't have been terrorism?
Don't be so ridiculous as to conflate the term terrorist with anti-Semitism(that term is as overused and abused as the word terrorist).
It is true, one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter.
You're using your definition of terrorist,King George wouldn't necessarily agree with your definition.
By US standards,a terrorist is someone who resists government authority(amongst many other criteria),this would clearly place Washington into that camp.
I hope that you never become face to face with an Israeli while living in Gaza or southern Lebanon my misguided friend, you, your wife and children wouldn't have a chance to surrender either.
Robert,
Give Larry our praise, in your self-depreciating way. We just got a look into the mind of a normal person, in an extraordinary situation, and made a decision to save innocent lives.
Only those of us who have had the weapon out and aimed, and the slack taken up, know how your mind screams at you during those split-seconds. I was lucky, the perpetrator decided to pack up and stop advancing.
Nice shooting, BTW; as you say, fourteen feet when your stressed looks like the Grand Canyon…that was the distance the guy decided to stop at in my case.
I prefer the striker mechanism and the design better of my Walther P99 than the Glock; but I use the Fobus paddle holster myself, and highly recommend it. I also use 9mm 147gr. Hydra-shoks in the loadout, and also recommend them.
Did you get the shotgun? Just curious.
May G_d keep you and your family safe…
Every person that lives in Israel is a hero in my eyes, anyone that gets up everyday and do the things that normal people do with the threat hanging over their heads that the Israelis have, have some big ones.
I tell me son about when I was in the Navy and the joint exercises we had with the Israeli military, and how I was glad they were our friends.
I heard a stat when I has on active duty, that if you increase the Israeli military to the size of ours, you would have the most powerful fighting machine on earth.
Wow. And I just visited your blog which is terrific. I think the gutsy cop who killed the Fort Hood shooter and your friend have a lot in common. I wish those innocent dead in the processing center had been armed. I also wonder, and can we find out, how many times someone quietly killed a German or Japanese infiltrator in an American installation or factory during WW II. I am certain it happened.
Gaza is, like all Arab countries, Judenrein.
Before the Gaza defensive war, after 8 years of rocket attacks, Israel made over 300,000 phone calls warning Gaza civilians of an impending attack. There were also several million leaflets dropped over Gaza warning of the coming offensive.
Hamas used civilians as himan shileds thus Hams is directtly responsible for every Arab death. No sock as Arab onb on Arab—Fatah vs. Hamas, etc.—violence dwarfs death from The Israeli Defense Forces.
To accuse Israel of deliberately killing civilians is just another blood libel, and a psychological projection of how Arab Muslim mind-set, proudly genocidal and rabidly Jew-hating. Just read the "Sacred Hamas Covenant" of 1988.
It begins:
"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it"
Thanks so much for the kind words and the tactical information. No, never bought the shot gun. I've been keeping sharp with my .45 Springfield. I have to admit I'm an old dog and very attached to my weapon.
I have never understood WHY the Jewish community in America embraced a racists like Obama!! I truly hope he is NOT the direct cause of their downfall…he will be in a world of trouble if any of his actions are the result of anymore terrorist activity there!
As someone who considers themselve to be a Libertarian (socially liberal, fiscally conservative and my politics follow) I find this to be a great story. I don't feel it should be law, but in this specific instance I feel he did an amazing thing.
(I don't know if this changes things, but I am also a Jew from NY–maybe this slightly biases me?)
My apologies, I did not make myself clear.
Heroism is a common virtue in Israel where citizen soldiers routinely confront and kill Arab Muslim terrorists.
Kol Tuv. Shalom U'vracha.
Deeply embarrassed by all the typos in my previous comment. Hit the submit button too quickly.
What an amazing story. G-d bless Larry and the men like him. Long live Israel!!
In addition, the land that was taken in the 67' war was never so-called Palestinian land. It was part of the original British mandate and as such, disputed territory. Before 1967 Egypt controlled Gaza and Jordan—created by Winston Churchill—controlled Judea and Samaria. The Arabs who llived there called themselves, um, Arabs. In fact, the Jews in pre-state Israel were defined as Palestinians by the British and the entire world community.
Two obvious examples:
The Jewish brigade in the British army were called "The Palestinian Brigade." The Jerusalem Post, Israel's oldest newspaper, was called "The Palestinian Post."
The Arabs who fought for Hitler in the Balkan states—rallied by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem—were proudly called "Muslim Nazis."
We greatly appreciate the support of our righteous Christian friends.
So very true. I've heard it said that during the intifada Israel had a 9/11 magnitude event every month (proportionately speaking). Would American's stand for that? Of course not. Now that America has been hit again (Bush kept us safe for over 7 years) it'sclear that we are back to thinking like it was 9/10. How sad for us.
Talk about "using your own definition". NOBODY defines terrorism the way you do. You only do it to justify your bias and hatred.
You should move to Gaza (hopefully you are already there) where your hatred can be fed and grow.
Robert,
Best weapon in the world is the one you punch the "X" ring with every time you use it…
I don't mind the .45, and if I could afford it, I would probably have one; the Walther just afforded too many positives as a daily carry; hammerless striker-fired, decocker, replaceable backstraps to adjust grip fit, and interchangeable front sight blades for fine tuning. The polymer frame was originally a downcheck for me, but I grew to respect it. And its wickedly accurate from the ten-meter line…no wonder Brosnan's James Bond loved the ugly little thing…
you're right, maybe we can call them 'sillyawesomecoolfreedomlovers'. who cares as long as we continue to hunt them down and kill them before they kill us.
This story confirms yet again, after a lifetime of anti-gun views, why I decided to let my husband purchase a firearm.
Thank you.
"Don't be so ridiculous as to conflate the term terrorist with anti-Semitism(that term is as overused and abused as the word terrorist). "
Considering the thousands year old treatment of Jews the world over, I would hardly call Anti-Semitism and overused and abused term.
Chiiling but right on the mark. Thanks for telling us about Larry. Israel is the proving ground and America is next for the Jihadists. I think it will not be very long until Jihad homocide bombers appear on American streets and in the shopping malls. I hope I have my .357 with me. One shot to the head is all it takes and I have been practicing for a long time as I believe America will see the day soon when citizens need to defend themselves against the Caliphate Jihadists. I use Copper Frag Cutters and +P .38 ammo. It works very well and doesn't exit the body. I am not going to wait for the Right to Carry Permit to bring my protection. I don't call 911 until the job of protecting my family is done.
I do that myself more often than not. That comes from posting and working at the same time.
Amen my friend!
Uplifting and interesting story. Middle Class Americans go into shock in a violent situations. They are encouraged from childhood about conflict resolution. An aggressive person can confront a guy twice his size and the bigger guy will not know what to do. Violence has been taken off the table. Guys from a tough neighborhood (Bensonhurst, East L.A.,,,,) have an advantage. Likewise Israel is in a tough neighborhood Israelis expect to be targeted.
Indeed, as I am to my old M1911
I've been banging my own head against the proverbial brick wall trying to figure that one out. It was this kind of thinking that got my grandfather's family killed during the Holocaust.
To read of Larry and knowing there is a whole nation of men and women just like him, is it any wonder that one of the first non-Japanese to study and rank among the ninja was an Israeli?
My close, personal not-friend dgl1962 has made many anti-Jew statements in the comments sections of articles posted here. Those kinds of statments are repugnant to most Americans, and I challenge them when I see them. What can you say?
You ain't wrong and you AIN'T lyin'!
Another excellent post, Robert! Kudos to Larry. Praise be to G-d for the outcome at the supermarket!
As for the liberal commenter, do you notice how he used the classic "we are all the same, it just depends on your point of view' argument — as if there were no moral difference between George Washington and Major Hasan? Bullsh*t! — evil exists in the world and Maj. Hasan and Larry's Arab terrorist personify it. Be vigilant and take decisive action when necessary — just like Larry did.
Bensonhurst Bad Boyz rule…
Nice shooting, way to go. I'd happily do the same, mop my brow and do it again.
No quarter to the Godless animals, none.
Does anyone else see the irony? A guy from Bensonhurst who favors hollowpoints? Likewise Sammy "The Bull" Gravano as well as many other Alumni of Lafayette HS used hollowpoint bullets when murdering fellow Mafiosi.
Actually that's not entirely true.
Here in the US Larry would have been called an "off duty police officer" or "security officer" by the press and the story would be swept away as soon as possible.
Outside of Chicago, NYC, New Jersey and DC the authorities would simply pat him on the back … but still confiscate his gun (which is why I don't carry one of my nicest guns) but that would be the extent of it.
The MSM would ignore him … at best they'd say "Larry acted bravely, but experts still say confronting criminals is not the best thing to do … call the professionals to deal with it … guns kept in the home are 43 times more likely blah blah blah…"
But real Americans … Jew and Gentile … we know better
Remember that when you see a homicide bombing "freedom fighter" in your neighborhood shopping center in the near future. Remember how it's not a "terrorist" that shoots up a school bus full of kids, just an "anti-Zion protestor".
Make sure you shield the bystanders from the "freedom fighter's" explosives or bullets with your own body, since you're obviously so selfless.
Frankly anyone loading full metal jacket in a self defense gun deserves to go to jail when it overpenetrates the bad guy and hits an innocent (outside of New Jersey of course … the short sighted idiots that run that state banned JHPs there).
Full metal jacket is for punching holes in paper or bouncing off metal plates at the range. Period.
Furthermore just because Sammy "The Bull" used HPs doesn't mean they're bad. He drove a Cadillac too … does that make every Caddy owner a criminal?
Jacked Hollowpoint bullets expand when they hit soft tissue, so they don't overpenetrate (that means go on through and keep on going with the power to kill innocent bystanders). Plus they dump more energy into the target thus stopping the bad guy faster.
Altho somewhat muted, and it seems absurd, but there have been calls for gun control at Fort Hood,
it must be a reflex response, gun control on an Army base? Just the opposite may have reduced
death and injury.
The irony is that there already is strict gun control on base (stricter than what many libs are demanding be foisted on the civilian world).
Even trying to apply an OODA loop here is probably grounds for being charged with a hate crime, but you win the physical first and worry about the legal fight later.
Try this one : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/in...
I don't get what is going on? Several posters replace the o in God for a _. Is is now politically uncorrect to say God bless Larry?
George Washington didn't try to destroy England and what England stood for. The colonies wanted their Independence. The battles were fought on American soil, not England.
It is Jewish religious law to neither say nor write the name of YHWH (God). However, it isn't against Jewish religious law when "God" is written in English (or any language other than Hebrew). However, many Jews decide to observe the prohibition in any language.
Ummmm, they're not Godless.
My friends, I advise all of you to arm yourselves. Educate yourself, train yourself and arm yourself while you can legally do so.
I could vomit from disgust over your appalling moral relativism. I don't remember the name of that radical imam's website, but please stick around so I can find out and pass it along to you. You'll be more at home there.
I am afraid that the United States will soon become much like Israel with these plunger pressing nut jobs. When you are put in a position like Larry was.. there is no time to waste worrying about if its politically correct or any of that other Kum bay yah crap.Yea, I truly do fear that the norm in Israel will become the norm here and our way of life will change forever. Teenagers crowding malls and stores will be a thing of past if it does.. or if they do it will be with guards at the doors and inside. In Israel – EVERY household must have a weapon for defense of the Country. Many men carry sidearms to protect innocent life like Larry did. America needs to wake up before its too late.
A Terrorist is a Neo-Platonist. Neo-Platonism's basis is the irrational Allegorical Method, which can use anything to prove anything else. Plato abstracted Neo-Platonism from the Mesopotamian Baal Religion; he used it only in a very controlled manner, and a very limited context, to avoid being indicted for Impiety, as were Socrates and Jesus. Neo-Platonists, having abandoned Rationality, have no means of rest Shun one another until one is ready to launch a Surprise Attack on the other, either Judicial, Insurgent, or conventional warfare. First to use Neo-Platonism in all his writings was Philo's "Works of Philo."
Neo-Platonists, having abandoned Rationality, have no means of resolving the inevitable differences that arise; so must Shun one another, until one side is ready to launch a Violent Surprise Attack, Judicial, Insurgent, of conventional warefare. See "Works of Philo," first user of Neo-Platonism in all writings.
Philo's Imitator/Successor Neo-Platonists are Plotinus, Saint Augustine of Hippo, Emmanuel Swedenborg, his plagarist Emmanuel Kant + supporters, George III, Charles Pinckney, John C. Calhoun, The Confederate States supporters, Robert E. Lee, Social Darwinists, George Will claims to be…..
Count this Gentile amongst those who deem Larry a hero. This was a truly inspiring piece, one that leaves no doubt as to the level of commitment it takes to stand up to terrorists.
For more info, see Professor Orthodox Rabbi Jacob Neusner's book, "The Transformation of Judaism: from philosophy to religion." Moses, Aristotle, and Jesus, and Mohammed, originally taught philosophy's that believed in the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. Then these were all syncratized with Neo-Platonism, an Abstraction of the Original Religion, that of Mesopotamian Baal. Powers-That-Be want this Secret kept from World Scholars-So Neo-Platonism's Reign will continue.
Michael Moore, is that you??
There are only Two Main Philosophies Today, Aristotle, and Neo-Platonism. The Main Distinction of Aristotle's Philosophy is the Species Genera Distinction. The Main Distinction of Science is the Species Genera Distinction. The Species Genera Distinction was present in Mesopotamia, before Aristotle. Thomas Jefferson states: My Philosophy…. is that of Old Aristotle. Charles Sanders Perice states: "My Philosophy is that of Aristotle plus science," pub. in 1886, a digital machine built of electrical relays could do mathematical calculations using George Boole's equations.
Had not Perice been Blacklisted by Harvard, Yale, and Johns Hopkins, computer science engineering would have began 53 years earlier; we would have had today's stuff in 1956.
Westerns Writer Max Brand, stated: There is always the same number of crimes and criminals; but as society deteriorates, the character of the individual crimes and criminals becomes much worse. See Barbara Oakley's book, “Evil Genes,” she states that Psychopaths cannot help what they do, their high concentration of evil genes determines that. Psychopaths are also called Sociopaths, Anti-Social Personalities, and Borderline Personalities. They do well in Military Careers for Obvious Reasons, as Strategy is figuring out who must be killed, and going out and killing them. But many with high concentrations of evil genes, are very successful in business, finance, and investing; and have homes in Palm Beach. Society is built up by Aristotle and the Natural Law, which makes the psychopaths and their crimes, so much milder in character, they may not even be noticed; Society is torn down by Neo-Platonism, which makes the psychopaths and their crimes, so much worse, and more evil in character. A Police State is no answer; as then the Psychopaths will be the police, and the State Dictator as well.
The Answer is Aristotle; make all who aspire to the Professions, Law, Clergy, Medicine, or Graduate School, have a double or multiple major, with one in Aristotle and the Natural Law. 16th Century Immigrants brought these over to Massachusetts, and spread all over the US, and inspired the American Revolution. Natural Law is Aristotle's Rhetoric, Ethics, + 7 extant pages of Zeno of Cilium, Cyprus. See Professor Ernest Barkers book "Traditions of Civility's" essay, "The American Revolution and The Natural Law," + James Walsh's "Education of The Founding Fathers."
The best translation of Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, since the 1700's Giles translation, is Martin Ostwalds, especially book six, chapter eleven, where Aristotle states that unless one has Forgiveness from such an early age, it almost seems instinctual, one will never have Good Sense! Jesus states, Mathew 6:12-15, unless one forgives those who sin against one, God will not forgive your sins. Same Message translated into Different Cultural Value Systems!
Gun control means having a steady hand. Nice job Larry.
You choose you version of a "God", I'll choose my. Allah is a false god, a symbol of terror and death, not God.
Death to *Allah* too.
Hmmm, well, you got me there. I'll study up and get back to ya.
Please make allowances for those of us with less mental ability.
In “The Works of Philo” book, chap 1 is intro, 2, 3, 4, are “The (Irrational) Allegorical Method, I, II, III.” In a revealing Chapter, “Jewish Embassy to Gaius (Gaius Cesar, aka, Caligula;)” Philo proudly proclaims he is “President of The Jewish Embassy to Gaius,” modern O.T. Judge, from 1532 Tyndal, or earlier Wycliff; President = French-Presiding Judge. Philo (30BC-56AD) names High Priest, orders Jesus Judicial murder. Philo takes Jesus up secret stairway to Temple's Top, + Mountain's Top; Arrogantly tells Jesus: “Fall Down and Kiss My Feet, and Worship Me, and I will give you all this,” matches Philo's Arrogance to Gaius Cesar, is the person, Jesus calls, “Prince of All Earthly Devils!” Are POW camps needed for Philo's Ph.D,'s independant Scholars, in Alice Springs, Death Valley?
If you present at the hospital spouting that word soup, they'll take you right on up to the 8th floor.
What, the logic of his particular loadout and the purpose to which they were applied escapes you?
How is the murder of criminals by other criminals the same as stopping a homicide bomber before he destroys people in a grocery store?
Why are statists so STUPID?
