I just finished Controlling the Human Mind by scientist Nick Begich, brother of one of the current Senators from Alaska. This book has to do with DARPA (advanced military research), some of which had been classified since 1935.

The basic thesis is that the universe has a molecular/chemical element. Underlying that is physics. This means that photons, radio waves, microwaves and sound can be used to affect molecular structures.

One of the simplest examples is the opera singer who can hit a high note that resonates with the molecules in a glass. If the singer amps her output, the sound can shatter the glass.
