SUCKER PUNCH SQUAD: ‘Furry Vengeance’ Tells Your Kids Al Gore’s a Hero
by Pam MeisterThe more I read scripts that come out of Hollywood, the more I wonder how Tinseltown manages to make money. Oh wait, I remember – the Palace Guards hype the tripe so that the peasants don’t realize what’s about to hit them until it’s too late to demand a refund.

That’s not to say there are no good movies made anymore (The Blind Side is a recent example). Even when movies are bad, we expect them to be bad because of a poor script, poor directing or poor acting – or a combination of all three. What we are sick and tired of are movies with a “message” that Hollywoodists deem acceptable, wrapped up in the guise of innocent entertainment. And we are even more sick and tired of those movies being aimed at our children.
Take Furry Vengeance. Please. Ba dum bum. Coming out on April 30, this “family film” follows the adventures of Dan Sanders (Brendan Fraser), along with his wife Terry (Brooke Shields) and son Tyler (Matt Prokop), whom Dan has temporarily moved from Chicago to Oregon to oversee the building of a housing development in Rocky Springs.
Note: The final product may differ from the script – in fact, I saw a few things in the trailer that weren’t in the original script. Another example is that the script says Tyler Sanders is 10 years old, but the actor portraying him is much older. Yet I highly doubt the main message is much different than what I saw on paper.
Dan’s a confident businessman who’s more concerned with the bottom line than ethics or saving the wilderness, as evidenced by his importing lumber from Canada in order to save money AND get around Orgeon’s stringent environmental laws, as well as his willingness to cut down a protected tree and have a beaver dam dismantled in order to keep construction on budget and on time.
Of course, Dan enjoys watching Fox News. (And that’s not the only leftist sucker punch – more to come.)
But a team of cute little CGI animals, led by a raccoon, have other ideas. In their quest to halt the project, they begin by making Dan late for an important meeting with his boss by stealing his breakfast and trashing his car. When he refuses to stop his activities, they begin sabotaging the construction equipment and attacking Dan’s person in the way of spraying him with the lawn sprinkler (potty humor alert!) and eau de skunk.
Without reciting everything in the film, naturally after going through hell and back and being considered crazy by his family and coworkers (who, of course, don’t see what the animals are doing to him), Dan sees the error of his ways, stands up to his greedy boss, and in the end he and his family live in happy harmony with their little woodland neighbors.
Certainly I’m all for balance between nature and man. I don’t want everything paved over. But by portraying businessmen and developers as cartoonish thugs with no redeeming characteristics, what kind of message are kids supposed to take away from this movie? That people are inherently bad because they build houses and shopping centers and buy things? What about those kids who have parents who work in the construction or lumber industries? Will they see their mommies and daddies as horrible meanies who take over the homes of cute little furry things?

I have a few questions for the filmmakers:
- After Dan stands up to his boss and the construction is halted, how does he make money? I’m assuming that he no longer works for Neal Lyman (Ken Jeong), who is last seen being pursued into the forest by a mob of angry forest creatures. Does Dan now sponge off his wife, who has magically been promoted to principal at the local school?
- What about the men who have been put out of work once the construction is halted? Do they live in the local community? Are they now on unemployment? What about their families and their needs, or can they just go pound sand?
- Speaking of the community, the development was supposed to include a shopping center which, one assumes, would have provided jobs. Is providing jobs a bad thing? (Seeing as our real-life Dear Leader is still touting a “jobless recovery,” I guess so.)
- Will there be the usual kiddie movie toy tie-ins at fast food restaurants, along with other Furry Vengeance goodies like lunch boxes and video games and the inevitable DVD release? Because according to a fellow liberal, making “Stuff” is bad for the earth and stuff.
- How much energy was used in the production of this film, from filming to editing the final product? Did you know that using energy is “bad?” Shame on you!
- Seeing as you portray Dan’s boss as a greedy corporate type who can’t get enough money, will you be forgoing profit on this movie and allowing patrons to see it for free?
The film does have one saving grace – it mocks the idea of the faux “green” movement that has sprung up just about everywhere you look, with entrepreneurs hoping to cash in on people’s consciences – which have been burdened by nearly 40 years of leftist prattle about how we are killing the earth. Not that I am trying to crush the entrepreneurial spirit that makes this country great, but it’s a bit wearying to see so many products touted as “green” when a lot of it is just a bunch of malarkey.
By the way, the movie comes out just one week after Earth Day. Coincidence? Maybe. I just can’t help being cynical.

Still, it’s not enough to salvage the film for me, especially since this “family film” has more swearing in it than I’d feel comfortable having small children hear (unless it’s been deleted from the final version – but I’m not holding my breath). And there’s a sequence where Dan accidentally kills a frog when showing his city-bred son how to skip rocks on the water. I’m praying that bit got cut – nothing like having the kids see a cute little frog bite the bullet.
Oh, and those other leftist sucker punches I told you about? A gratuitous shot at “No Child Left Behind” (one of GWB’s initiatives when in office); Dan being tortured by the pecking of a crow on the bedroom window in a sequence he describes like being in Abu Ghraib; and at the very end, Al Gore’s name being trotted out as the final authority on whether the ground upon which the development being built is protected. No matter that Gore and his global warming baloney has been thoroughly discredited; he’s obviously still a Hollywood Hero. He has an Oscar to prove it! Will all of these sucker punches make the final cut? I don’t know, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least one or two of them.
By the way, Brendan Fraser, the film’s star, is also one of the executive producers. According to this source, he used to live on Readcrest Drive in Beverly Hills. Take a look and ask yourself: Does his (former) large home scream “concern for the environment?” And the entire neighborhood is full of large, lavish homes that cling to the hillside of what I’m sure used to be home to lots of cute little critters like the ones we see in Furry Vengeance. I’ve mentioned before that the entertainment industry is one of the biggest polluters around, so it’s really galling for them to preach to us and to our children about defiling the earth. But that’s how it is with liberals – as long as they have theirs, they can tell you what you can do with yours.
Final analysis: I’m glad my kids are too old to want to see this waste of celluloid.

Absolutely no surprises here! As soon as the commercials for this film appeared I think we all knew where it was going. Buckle your seat belts though. This is going to be the template for kid's films for the way into the foreseeable future.
I assume that anything related to animals will be strongly didactic and hence boring. OTOH, I don't watch movies in theaters anymore due to prices. When its free on netflix, I can ditch a movie at the first sign of marxism.

It's a bit silly to judge a movie when you haven't actually seen it. Also just plain sloppy journalism, if it can even be called that. Wrong for people who did that for "Passion of the Christ," just as wrong for this film which, incidentally looks pretty damn crappy, btw, and makes me glad I don't have kids.
So…in this vein of teaching-kids-man-is-bad-is-wrong do we need to ban Bambi and the old Bugs Bunny cartoons because they speak poorly of hunting? Remove Babar because his mom was killed by a hunter? And your questions at the end are funny as well. In this same vein, should kids be wondering at the end of the Narnia movies why Peter, Caspian, et al aren't holding free & fair elections instead of ruling themselves?? They aren't even constitutional monarchs!
Yep. When I read Brooke Shields was in it I knew then it would be crap. The best role she has ever played was her psychotic, stalker fan character on 'Friends.'

once again this is not a sucker punch.
Who didn't know this from the trailer?
The Disney channel is doing a whole Green theme on several of theri series as well.
There is just no escaping it in popular culture, especially in kid programming.
and before all the anti-TV people tell me to ditch the tube, and don't let it be your babysitter, I don't and there is plenty of decent stuff, and I don't want to. I also don't want to lose my fidge or have compost worms in my kitche either. Vigilence is sufficient, usually, to avoid this stuff. That it why when a preview tells me it is propaganda, I tend to believe it will be.
Poor Breden Fraser. He's fallen pretty far since his promising beginnings in School Ties.
Its too simple to stop this sort of thing, really. Boycott hollywood..its just that easy!
CONTINUED FROM ABOVE
In southern California, the once-endangered Mountain Lion has increased in numbers to the point that it is now a problem in terms of eating pets and the occasional jogger. Urbanization has definitely not hurt that apex predator. Grizzly bear, black bear, gray wolf, etc.–all top-of-the-line predators whose numbers have increased as the US population grows and becomes more urbanized.
"Furry Vengeance" is nothing more than a watermelon movement (green on the outside, red on the inside) lie. Think "Avatar" with squirrels instead of giant Smurfs.
Thanks for the heads up. This looks like FAIL anyway, but people do get desperate when they try to find family-friendly things to do with their kids.
My kids hate movies. Thank goodness.
The idea behind these sucker punch posts aren't to review movies. The idea is to go through scripts and find the gratuitous liberal bitch slaps, and report them, so people who have no desire to see this crap are forewarned.
they may continue to say these things…
But who's listening? If it's to further brainwash/inculcate the youthful idiocy that's one thing. Most of the products of our Department of Education are thoroughly versed on all of the leftist ideology- that's the major role it plays-
and this contines that theme.
Adults who actually know things will be horrified, and stay away in droves- thanks to the heads up offered here…
Oh boy! Another movie with a dopey plot line and a cast of useful idiots. Thank goodness I have better things to do.
Besides being a leftist rant, this movie just looks awful. Dancing animals?? Seriously?? Does anyone in Hollywood understand what a decent movie is supposed to look like??
And I cannot for the life of me understand Bredan Fraser's choices in movies. He goes from really entertaining movies like School Ties and The Mummy to absolute piles of crap like Encino Man and George of the Jungle. He should fire his agent….
Wow you are just bristling with self-righteousnous…..
I suppose you live in a lean-to made from leaves, and get around by riding unicorns.
Seriously, why can't you dumb Repubs and teabaggers just watch a movie? Why must you find something political in everything? Al Gore did have some good points about climate change that, maybe, you should check into before believing so blindly that he was in on a conspiracy. I guess I'm expecting too much from any of you idiots. Thank God for Al Gore, Mrs. Pelosi, Mr. Reid, and, the best president to ever set foot in the oval office, Barack Obama! They will put in the correct legislation to save our planet.
I saw the billboard for this movie and thought to myself "Is this what Brandon Fraser has become?" Not only does this film look like a piece of crap but now I find out it's a propaganda film directed towards the kids. That's not just crap, that's diabolical and dispicable! I hope this turkey goes down faster than blinking. I'm taking my daughter to The Last Airbender in July and at this point I'm hoping that there isn't any right wing slaps in it but am not too optomistic. I really do hate Hollywood these days, it's such a pale imitation of what it once was.
Nope, I don't ride unicorns, because, apparently, according to Greg Guttfield, I hate them, per one of his recent posts. But, I do sh!t rainbows.
Then you should cut down on the Skittles….
Seriously Janelle why can't you moronic DemocRATS just let us have our opinions? Why must you be the only ones who can protest and boycott something? Al Gore is a hypocritical fool who lives in a freakin mansion but want's the rest of us to live like we are in the 19th century. Maybe YOU should do some research on your hero Gore before coming to his defense so quickly. As for Pelousy, Reid, and teh zero history will find that this was one of the most radical, dangerous regimes in the history of the United States. They will be relegated to the trash heap of history just like Carter. Bank on it!
"How much energy was used in the production of this film, from filming to editing the final product? Did you know that using energy is “bad?” Shame on you! "
Oh, Pam, don't you realize that this movie is raising awareness? All environmentalist movies raise awareness, that means that they are totally not hypocritical (in some Machiavellian way that I don't completely understand).
EdSki, you can't expect trolls to be up to speed on a web site when they're not up to speed on real life. But you are gracious!
Yeah, because everybody knows that more laws and legislation are all that stands between us and the brink…. sarc/ off
Thank you BIGH. More Jacksons saved!
Let's help them: Dancing animals carrying these: Kel-Tec .308 Bull-pups
Janelle, the cleaners called. Your solar-powered thong didn't make it.
But the movie does not yet exist when it's a script. It's still a 'rough draft,' if you will. So to judge it as if it were the final project is quite frankly, a pointless waste of time. Even a rough cut can't be judged against the final film. You can't judge the success of a dish by reading the recipe–you have to taste the completed dish.
Spoken like a true flaming asshole….
Your parents must be so proud…
Oh, the troll card! So witty!
You guys have just proven my point. You can't expect too much from a Repub and a teabagger. Oh, Al Gore has done more to save the environment than any of other person. If more legislation and laws are needed to SAVE OUR PLANET, then we will all have to adapt and be grateful. This is the only planet we have and we are destroying it. Maybe if all the naysayers would take their asses to another planet and leave the ones who are interested in preserving planet Earth alone, then things would be a lot better.
I wish we could ban Bambi ! Every time one of my more cityfied friends finds out i deer hunt , i have to listen to the same old story about how watching Bambi makes them unable to even think about shooting a deer and how mean i am to hunt. And Bugs Bunny?? They never spoke poorly of hunting that i remember, Just Elmer Fudd was always being outwitted by Bugs.
And since reading the script is pretty much the same thing as seeing the movie. He does state that this is based off the script and that there might be changes to the final cut but from the previews i have seen of this movie its still pretty close to the script he has. So its not sloppy journalism in my book. Sloopy journalism in my nook is seeing one or ten crackpot signs in a Tea Party protest of 20,000 and saying they represent the whole crowd
Where i live in the Georgia mountains we have a large high dollar community where a bunch of retires and transplants from Atlanta live. Its several hundred acres and sits right on a major national park. No hunting is allowed ( which is smart since the houses are so close together) but a lot of the people who live there are opposed to hunting, They have a huge deer overpopulation problem. Gardens get eaten to the ground, deer get hit by cars. A little hunting in the few areas without houses could thin the herd and make it more healthy. But people do not understand the positive benefits of hunting just the fact that you are killing Bambi's mom or dad.
lmao, that was a good one HS.
And you've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are incapable of dealing with logic and an honest argument. But we know better than to expect too much of libs. And your high priest of global warming is an idiot who thinks the earth's core is "millions" of degrees, couldn't pass a science class to save his life and thinks a hockey stick graph is the result of good research. He's the ultimate hypocrite who is perfectly fine with conspicuous consumption as long as he's the one doing it. He won't debate the issue of global warming because he doesn't have the facts, or the intellectual chops, to even try. He's a pathetic prophet and you must be incredibly stupid to believe a word he says.
Wow, Janelle shows it's lack of brainpower.
Maybe if your side, Janelle, stopped being douchebags to everyone that had an opinion different than yours the conservatives here wouldn't be seeing douchebaggery in everything.
Hopefully the free market will punish this peice-o-crap. Unfunny, eco propaganda, yeah that sounds like a solid plan…too funny. Hope the nitwits that ok-ed this get canned and the studio goes bust.
Now neyney, if you are a reader of the Big sites you should be well versed in the fact that only libs are allowed to have opioins on anything. Only they have the mental capability to care about something besides themselves. The fact that you believe otherwise means you are a homophobic, sexist, racist, classist, money hungry, anti-environmental, pro-nuke, pro-war, pro-slavery, anti-union listener of Rush and Fox news watcher. /sarc
It'll either make a ton of money due to it's cutesy animal ploy; or, it's going to suffer the same type of death Green Zone did. No middle ground with this one.
naw, you're not a troll, you are another ANTI-AMERICAN – seems you guys are so proud of it, so wear the label -
Ah ha, another ANTI-AMERICAN – you and your kind are soooooo predictable – here's your sign -
Janelle why can't people like you just watch a movie like The Passion of Christ, Fireproof or Letters to God without putting it down as religious claptrap. And i might listen to Al Bore a little more if he practiced what he preached. And Obama has done nothing to be considered the greatest president ever. He is not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as George Washington , Abraham Lincoln or FDR. They were great presidents.
note – I do not agree with some of the policys of FDR but he correctly saw the coming storm of WW2 and dispite a huge liberal backlash got this country ready to fight it to a victorious end.
Yeah I owe Vainamoinen a keyboard…
I didn't know Kel-Tec made .308 bullpups….
I don't think they edited something as foundational as the ENTIRE PLOT if the trailer is any indication. If a recipe contains cyanide and arsenic, you're not going to stick around for the completed dish, are you?
*MissQuinn*
this isn't really a sucker punch… it's an indoctrination film.
films for adults that insult their beliefs = sucker punch
films for kids to shape their beliefs into something different than their parents = indoctrination
Encino Man, Son-in-Law, Monkeybone, all three Mummy movies… Another piece of crap to add to the ever higher pile of crap that is Brendon Fraser's illustrious career. The sucker punches make it worse, but still, you knew this was going to be a stinker from the moment you heard the cast.
Oh, dear God! When did having a differing opinion make you anti-American?? I thought one of our great national traits was the ability for people to have differing opinions. without the pitchforks coming out. The country has gotten way too stringent on ideological purity, and that's from both sides.
No. Because poison will kill you. I've watched some bad movies over the years, but as far as I know, no-one died. (although A.I. and Magnolia made me wish I had)
"like it's a fact because he said it is."
Isn't this the liberal way? Sounds like he just stole a page out of your own playbook if you asked me.
Love the post, Pam. I hope you continue to work in this area; Hollyweird spends far too much time indoctrinating our kids with ridiculous stories about lovable forest animals. I can't wait for your expose on Bambi.
Parents be sure to prepare your children to ask lots of questions about things. I explained it to my daughter (9yrs old) about it. Her response " No, they would not do that". I encouraged her to ask questions of everything and seek out answers and to not just take my word for it. Since then started pointing it out to me. She has noticed that her scholastic newspapers are very one sided and print things like "scientist say…" her teacher pointed out that it should read "some scientist.." Disney stars ( …who I imagine have a much larger carbon footprint than just about every kid watching) telling kids to go green and the part that really bugged her was where they basically say don't listen to your parents. She was also really really annoyed with the movie shorts. And why if Al gore knows the world is going to end does he not use his money and influence to provide all people of low income withenergy efficient stuff? And Why would you replace a light bulb with one that is poisonious? Teach your kid to think and recognize what they are seeing.
kooks like Janelle are always angry for one reason. They know reality and facts are on our side.
You know Fraser is worried about his fading career when he's forced to play the animated, eco-nutcase card. Sad.
When did this turn into something religious? I watched The Passion of Christ (I've never cried more in a movie), Fireproof, and Letters to God and never thought of them as "religious claptrap." They were amazing and spoke the truth. So please don't lump me in with them. I think that Obama is and has done a lot for our country. People need to stop whining and be behind him. What has Bush done that has benefited people as much as Obama has?
Um, that would be why there are disclaimers up on all of these SPS posts saying that the article is based off one version of the script, which may have been changed for the final product. It's not a review of the film, and it's not a judgement of it, either. It's listing for us things that we may not want to pay money to sit down and watch, so we can decide for ourselves before we drop a fortune on a night out. Ninety-nine percent of what comes out of Hollywood these days is pure crap. Why should we spend upwards of $50 for something that is just going to spend two hours telling us that everything we believe is a joke?
He was pretty good in that, wasn't he?
having played the flamethrower here a time or two I can tell you, I don't think she's real. I mean come on "the best president to ever set foot in the oval office"?
I admit she's doing a good job (better than I did)
A real lefty wouldn't be using the teabag reference, they realize they don t want it shoved back in their face, so to speak
So, hectate, we need to see a movie before we decide if we want to see it or not? Riiight.
And bambi was 1942–these anti-human, nature worshipping, ideas have been around for quite some time.
Perhaps the reason that conservatives (and I should note that I'm neither a Republican nor a Tea Partier) find something political in everything is because the liberals that run our entertainment media have been candid about the fact that they put something political in the majority of projects. Many of us have indeed researched the numbers behind the climate change hysteria, and found it to be ludicrous. There is not one single charge Mr. Gore has made that can be backed up by proven fact. In fact, his own researchers can't back up any of the claims he has made, because they didn't even keep copies of it for themselves. You won't find any of us that want to harm the planet. We all recycle, we all conserve where we can. We just don't buy into the BS that all of the recent climate changes are due to human technology, and that radical, life-altering, forced legislation is going to do much to change it.
You dont have a differing opinion. You have one just like all the other leftist scum who defecate their talking points here. There's more diversity amongst conservatives than there will ever be among Leftbots. While conservatives actually DISCUSS what they are thinking and have reasons and experience to back it up, Leftards are too busy waxing themselves with the thought of funneling everyone into one single thought pattern.
What has Bush done that has benefited people as much as Obama has?
He gave more to Africa for the AIDS epidemic than any president in US history. He took out Saddam Hussein, who butchered millions of his own people, as well as those in neighboring countries, and who directly threatened the US on many occasions. He prevented multiple terrorist attacks on our nation. He personally met with the parents of every single US soldier killed during his tenure in office, and spent time talking to them about their children and comforting and thanking them. And this is just the stuff off the top of my head, without taking time to sit down and think about it.
What has Obama done besides take our money, and our children's money, and our grandchildren's money, to bail out multiple people who were bad at business? Oh, and completely disregard the will of the majority of people in this country and force health care legislation on us in direct contradiction to the Constitution?
I just read the title of the film and knew right away it was compost.
Watermelons everywhere you look in the environmental movement. Green on the outside but red in the middle. Much easier to shove green ideology from 'scientists' than communist ideology from Bill Ayers.
btw – Kennedy wrote the 'No Child Left Behind' bill. GWB gave him the go-ahead.
Thanks for the preview, but honestly, this one looks so lame and predictable that the sucker-punch warning is superflous. No way I'm paying for it, even on Netflix!
Happens all the time. Disagree with one of the genuises on this site and you're dismissed.
Aren't you due to tell us you used to be a liberal? You haven't reminded us in at least two days.
Troll! Troll!!
Gore has done more than any other person to enrich himself while propagandizing about the planet.
I guarantee you, Gore's carbon footprint is vastly larger than the average person. The whole carbon trading business, another one of his money making ventures, is a scam.
It allows wealthy people like Gore to continue their lavish and wasteful living while the average person (serf) is the one affected.
How about if the hypocrites take their asses to another planet. There's be a huge drop in pollution. Madonna, Sheryl Crow…the whole lot of them. Don't these people have enough money to live on for the rest of their lives? Why are they flying all over the planet for concerts? For vacations?
You're utterly clueless. Stick to that echo chamber of stupidity, HuffPo.
Here's another laughable example of hypocrisy. The EU huffs and puffs about global warming and yet there's this.
The overblown global warming hysteria is about redistribution of wealth.
"…OUR PLANET" (oh, I've grown to hate that word) will be here long after all of us are gone — and long after that. Nothing we do could even come anywhere near to destroying it, or actually having any effect. Global warming is the biggest scam of all time. Nature will do it's own destruction when it's ready.
Very well said, SQT!
I see youre troll card and raise you two troglodytes.
I loved him in The Mummy. A shame they ruined that franchise with the second film. That was WEIRD.
HEAR HEAR!!
THANKS FOR THE SPOILER WARNING!!!!!!!!!
Just kidding!!! As though there was any mystery as to how this crapfest of a movie would end!!!
I don't know. Bambi has always been one of my favorites, but I never saw it as automatically anti-hunting or anti-man. In fact, it never made me hate hunting. My dad and his family hunted and I was used to the discussions and the concept.
And with Bambi, it seemed that hunting was more of a way of life for the deer. Like the Circle of Life, rather than some intrinsic evil. Even the forest fire – it teaches us all something important – be careful out hunting so you don't cause a fire. I don't think Smokey the Bear is necessarily a leftist – just a public service announcements, especially for city folk who don't know better.
My kids watch Bambi all the time and have yet to come at me and tell me "hunting is bad". They are 7 1/2 and 6. They watch The Lion King and like to play dinosaurs (and they are both GIRLS! My older daughter is always the T Rex! LOL!). They've just seen Jurassic Park as well and they understand the idea of the Circle of Life.
I would say that this movie is NOT about that kind of thing and is just another leftist POC.
As a deer hunter I agree with that one. But, Bambi is the only movie at which I have ever cried. When Bambi's dad died… It just broke my heart to see all that smoked venison going to waste.
Midnite, your post is just way to rational and full of facts! LOL! I agree that most anti-hunting people just do NOT understand the concept at all.
In my youth, I used to be very sensitive to even watching lions take down gazelles (although I had no problem with hunting, I just couldn't imagine myself doing it). Then I grew up and realized that we all do what we are programmed to do – lions are carnivores and gazelles are, well, food for them. Period. It's the Circle of Life.
Same with people. Not one moral vegetarian has ever been able to explain to me why it's wrong for me to hav a hamburger, but not wrong for a lion to take down an antelope.
THAT is the truth!!! Second one was only half as good as the first. Love Rachel Weizs – I think she is one of the prettiest and most natural actresses out there, and loved the character of Evie.
You have a point, I give you those two.
"Of course, Dan enjoys watching Fox News. (And that’s not the only leftist sucker punch – more to come.)"
Well, at least your honest enough to admit that FOX is not an objective news organization, but a house organ for fascism. I tip my hat to you.
Ooh goody par, can I get all that on a button? Oh wait probably not a good idea. Lefty men like to beat up on women wearing buttons that support conservative causes or candidates. Ah, the tolerant left.
"Of course, Dan enjoys watching Fox News."
Fox News is the second highest cable network after USA. A lot of people who will be in the audience also enjoy watching Fox News and are going to feel particularly insulted. Bad move.
The extreme left has hijacked a "cause" that people of both sides can probably agree on: wanting to protect the environment as much as possible. And I believe we can protect habitats, protect the environment (I'm not talking about phony GW, I'm talking about killing animals and bulldozing forests) but do it in a way that is rational, reasonable, and doesn't work against businesses.
Yet any rational way to see to the preservation of the environment is impossible when the people who CLAIM to speak for the environment refuse to settle for anything less than a complete return to the Dark Ages. That sure doesn't leave much room for innovative solutions, does it?
I do not see Bambi as anti-hunting, just a lot of people who consider going to the zoo getting back to nature consider it anti-hunting. There is a circle of life in the wild. The deer Population in Georgia is as high as its ever been. matter of fact we have to many deer. Culling the herd makes room for the younger deer to grow and for there to be enough food for the continued existance of a larger deer population
All you need is a shirt saying "Tea Party" on it. all the other issues are automatically lumped in with those 2 words. lol
It has already been mentioned but i cannot say it enough. Pres Bush did more for the people with AIDS in Africa then any other president including Clinton and Obama. Did he ever get credit for his work? nope. Did he ask for credit? nope.
And as for getting behind Obama, i thought protesting presidential actions where patriotic? At least thats what i heard over and over when Pres. Bush was in office.
And just a question. What do you consider an action by Obama that has benefited people??
Well I only ever hear conservatives talk about what a crappy president he was.
It's new. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4K_PPe5Rnk
If you saw those movies then i apologize to you for lumping you in with the other libs.
You asked how could we see something political in every movie, i pointed out that if it is a conservative movie the left delights in pointing out its religious claptrap, because they do not believe the same things i do. So why can we not point out the parts of movies that go against what we believe?
Looks pretty sweet, but I'd be reluctant to shoot a .308 bullpup lest it fry off my eyebrows and dislocate my shoulder…
Because lefties are too embarassed….
To do otherwise would be lying.
I cried for that very same reason during "Bambi Meets Godzilla". All that venison wasted as toe jam.
There's a solution for that…
Open carry. But that would depend on which state you live in.
