I´m sure Cruise is by any standard crazy, and he´s hardly the only one in that industry. On the other hand, you cannot believe everything that´s on celebrity gossip sites. Or can you?

No, I don´t care for his politics but I´d like to think that we would have made fun of Obama, too; at least he wasn´t much of a Kool-Aid drinker.

Anybody who actually believes that crap does not deserve to be treated civilly. They should be laughed out of our collective presence.

$cientology is not like other religions. In addition to their voracious greed (Time did a story on it in the 80's) and predatory nature, their manipulation of our own government stands as a once in a century caper (they broke into the IRS. No. Really. Operation Snow White) that I don't think will be repeated by any other religious body. While others simply instruct their adherents to avoid materials they percieve as harmful, they will install blocks on their members computers to prevent them from searching certain terms specific to their religion. They'll spam forums and try to put a positive spin on negative press, or try to remove the source altogether (Tori Christman/Cruise's Scientology Tape) While you can find things like the Gnostic Bible or the Satanic Verses or even the Protocols of the Elders of Zion relatively easily, anti-Co$ materials or even their OWN materials were sued over to prevent exposure, an effort that worked for the most part until the advent of the internet.

For someone who doesn't care, you sure put alot of effort into it.
