This conspiracy stuff, as Mr. Bean describes it, is EXACTLY what the John Birch Society preached in the 1950's and 1960's. So did the anti-Semetic "Liberty Lobby." The Birchers were racist and obnoxious in the 1960's, calling everyone from Eisenhower to Steve Allen a "Communist conspirator." The conspiracy crowd definitely IS where the wackos of all political persuasions hang out----and subsequently lose their minds. And it's true.....they will never get enough of it.

A statement only someone with no understanding of the Republican Party could make. Bush greatly expanded government funding and oversight of education, as well as Medicare and other social programs. While the social-conservative and national defense wings of the GOP were obviously thrilled with Bush's record (except in some cases on immigration), the libertarian, small-government part of the party was far from happy, and were often just as critical of him as any Democrat (and for far better reasons). Now, since you seem to be under the impression that I (and by extension, all other conservative Republicans) am trying to distance myself from Bush, let me just say that I am still, as I have always been, a fan of his. While I didn't agree with all of his policies, I admired his character and his determination to defend the U.S. from all external threats. Whatever flaws he had (and there were many), I was always willing to give him the benefit of a doubt and my personal trust that he was a man trying to defend his country in the best way he knew how. And all you can come up with is to refer to him as the "Idiocracy." That's why I hold people like you in contempt. Goodbye.

Your comment is identical to the first in this thread in its substance -- and all you commented upon was that I referenced Bush. My response to you was to your aversion to discussing Bush. You now say 'Bush gets nearly as much criticism...' -- and I point out yet again, as I will continue to do so, it's Bush you have to live down and Bush=Republican=Bush=Republican. I know you hate it, just as I hated Jimmy Carter was a Democrat, but I'm so very thankful Carter was only a fraction as bad as was Bush. If you were to really screwup and elect Palin then Carter would fall to at least 3rd place.

If anyone is diverting attention, it's you attempting to divert attention from the fact that Buch and Republican are synonymous.

on track here- except the fascists are lefties as well; totlaitarianism of any form is left wing by nature.
Far right would be anarchy- no government at all. just to the left is libertarians, and then conservatives.

Who are actually the real 'moderates'... doesn't get taught that way, does it? then again the NEA is a quasi-marxist organization anyway so what do you expect...
