Geez, the people at Newsbusters REALLY need to lose the laugh and applause tracks. Cringe-inducing.
Agreed. Especially the tracks that seem to have one person clapping.
It's been suggested before, but NewsBusters doesn't seem to get it.

I don't think the whiners are our people. And while we could do without the laugh track, what would replace it? Silence?

Jody Miller has become one of the highlights of my life, I'm married so don't take it wrong, she has a knack for delivering the non humorous as humorous, where the absurd can be consumed with a smile, portraying how stupid the (Self proclaimed) enemy is!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was pretty good. About the laugh track .. two options, NB runs a contest for new laugh tracks. Set the parameters, like lengths, how many spots, etc. Give away a T-shirt or sumthin.
OR
spontaneously submit your own. Get your little brother or one of you kids to capture one. A few friends laughing on several different occasions, overlay tracks …

Wow, it would create 10 jobs? I think you're being overly optimistic.
(btw, laugh tracks are always dumb but at least they make more sense on this "show" than they do on the average sitcom)
