Precious is about a girl who pulls herself up out of a bad situation - it's message is so much stronger than The Blind Side. It's "this situation may be the worst thing in the world, but you can get through it, all you need to do is push". The power comes within Precious to get herself OUT of her situation. There's government facilities. It CAN happen. The Blind Side lives in the fantasy world that poor black people need a good ol white rich person so that they can succeed in life. If only there were so many good people as Leigh Anne, but there's not. But rich white people manifest destiny themselves in her, so they feel better and don't have to do anything to help poor people. Also, the one other big difference is one is in the south and one is in the heart of NYC. This article is dumb.
