Today, with the help of Big Hollywood’s Leigh Scott, I begin my tribute series to Governor Sarah Palin.
Scott Leigh, a horror film-maker reminiscent of my not-always-so-hard-times spent with Larry Cohen, had this to say about what the Left fears about Sarah Palin:
What they fear is that Palin would actually stick to fiscally conservative principles. She would reform the tax laws to make them fair and rational. She would clip the influence of labor unions. She would end the unholy alliance of Big Government and Big Business. She may actually extend women’s rights to choose to include how they spend their money, where they send their kids to school, and what caliber handgun they want to buy.
In short, Sarah Palin is the essence of American identity: individual freedom married to individual responsibility and, dare I say, the sacredly unique individuality vested within all of us upon conception, an American signature more indelible than that of John Hancock.
In light of the Liberally Dark Warnings about conservative homophobia, Sarah’s appearance on Greg Gutfeld’s increasingly irresistible RED EYE is de rigueur.
Right now, and unless I’m informed otherwise, the adorable Mike Huckabee is therefore “one-up” on Sarah.
Why am I not writing a series entitled President Mike Huckabee?
Sorry, Governor, but ya just can’t have babies!
There’s the nice rub … Sarah is a woman who’s almost more Catholic than the Pope, that Prince of Rome who, rather like Mike Huckabee, cannot have babies.
Giving birth, you know, is, to put such a thing into a timely context, the ultimate Olympic experience!

No, I wasn’t present at the birth of my son Matthew because he was delivered by Cesarean.
Hmmm … that may account for some of his Cesarean attitudes toward me.
Sarah, mother of five and bearing the brunt of Progressively Democrat and some Republican sadism, has, indeed, seen the ultimate agonies and the ecstasies of life.

Our only complete and infinitely enduring antidote would be President Sarah Palin.
Oh, by the way, England could do well to give to President Sarah Palin the gift of Mr. Daniel Hannan as Prime Minister, in the same way we gave to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher our previous savior of individual freedom, President Ronald Reagan.
Prime Minister Daniel Hannan and President Sarah Palin would indeed be the King and Queen of the entire English-speaking world.
That Royalty is more than enough to stop the Progressive Red Islam dead in its tracks and send that apocalyptic nightmare back to the hell from which it came.
The Truth shall set you free, scare the hell out of you and put you back into the agony and ecstasy found within ALL of God’s Children.

Always enjoy your posts, Michael. President Sara Palin- I like the ring to that. Mike Huckabee is everybody's favorite uncle for sure but he will never get past his Willy Horton moment nor his mis-stance on immigration in the primaries. Even if Sarah runs in the primaries, and does not get the presidential bid, she changes everything the way Goldwater shifted the GOP power base out of NYC and to the southwest, making way for the Regean presidency. All she has to do is run in the primary. They all know that. That is why they hate her. I do not hate her. I love her and her family and what she stands for. Whatever she does is a win/win for the American people. The only ones to lose are the politicians and corporate fat cats.
To date I have not made a decision of who I will back for 2012.
I am not convinced that Palin will run.
But, I am willing to listen to her supporters and her make the arguments to sway me.
I will do the same for all who seek the presidency.
My question is why would anyone want the job?
She can't be president because she's smart enough. All the Hive's pundits and all the Hive's Agitprop appartchiks have told us so, and people who want to steal your money and take your guns away from you would never lie to you. The Hive wants its Brain Trust in power–you know, geniuses like Reid, Biden, Pelosi, and of course the Hive's titular leader, the World's Greatest Community Organizer ™, "Il Dufe"
It's funny. There was always something truly annoying about Michael Moriarty. I couldn't put my finger on it. Now I know – he's really, really dumb! And very silly. In Presidential races, when entering the voting booth, the American people ALWAYS choose the happy and positive candidate. Think about it. This has been true for decades. Not the best, or smartest or most qualified, but the happiest.

I heard something different along the birth certificate lines recently. It's not the nationality which causes him to hide it. Since his mom was white and having a biracial baby in 1961, what if she listed him as Caucasian? Pretty embarrassing for our first "black" President if it was true. I'll bet Rev Wright would even disavow him for that!
I think your dreaming, Michell is great, but Sarah Palin is in another universe, as far as being a proven leader, a vetted leader. No one comes to be a GREAT leader, (emphasis on great) unless they go through great adversity, and have deep and real, enduring convictions, and integrity. It's no accident that Sarah Palin is garnering the attention of the nation. She has been born for this day.

The chickification of politics. While I agree with every line you have written i have nagging thoughts, pun intended, as evidenced by the near the total takeover ot our educational system in teaching, Law, in number of women attorneys, attendence in Colleges etc. by our sisters. Call me a chauvenist if you will, but while I think the two women you reference are top notch I worry that too much feminine influence will have a major effect on what our country is to become. I can hear the arguments now about "can it be any worse, what right do I have to make this distinction, etc. Women in a majority in politics will have a profound effect on this country. Good or Bad?????? I side with not good. No offense meant to Palin or Bachmann.
I would love to see Sarah Palin as President of the United States more than anyone in Politics including the great Jim DeMint. Palin absolutely has the intellect to be president. Truman never even went to college and he was an above average president. Sarah Palin would truly be a woman of the people. Mitt Romney is just another guy in a suit. Sarah Palin is the real deal. The Democrats don't want Palin to run, they absolutely fear her! The Liberals don't try to destroy someone that is not a threat. The Liberals would like Romney! I could see Romney as VP or better yet, either Secretary of Commerce or Treasury.

That's what McCain brought…it was 'his turn', not whether he could beat Obama.

With the recent Supreme Court decision giving corporations a blank check to support candidates of their choice, I think the next election is going to come down squarely to who they feel will support their interests the most. Do people think Palin can earn their support? Because I think, sadly, no matter how vociferous the Tea Party movement, it's never going to be able to raise comparable amounts of money, and as we've seen too many times in the past, it's often less about worthiness than who spent the most $.
The only gripe I have with Mr Moriarty's otherwise excellent article is the suggestion of Daniel Hannan as Prime Minister for the UK. He may make many Euro-sceptic speeches, and write similar articles, but he remains part of the Conservative/Labour/Liberal Democrat political cartel that does not want to discuss our leaving the EU or even hold a public debate on the actually cost vs benefit of membership. Our country's Conservative Party is sadly no longer conservative. UKIP and the Christian Party, both relatively small parties would probably provide better a better partnership for the USA.

Sarah Palin is a nice person whom I would love to have as a neighbor or a friend. She is also a monumentally incompetent politician who abandoned her governor job to seek fame and fortune, and is obviously not terribly intelligent or well educated. She also has the highest negative numbers I have ever seen on a Presidential candidate. I wish the best for her, but a vote for her is a vote for Obama, I have talked to dozens of Republicans who will never vote for her.

Thats what people said about McCain. "Sure he sucks, but its him or Obama, push comes to shove people will vote for him", well, apparently people can just stay home. Palin is similar to Ron Paul, not in politics, but in having a very loyal minority supporting her while having no chance to win national office.

OK, you're a chauvinist. Just kidding. I get the concern. But please keep in mind that the problem is not women in education, law, etc. The problem is LIBERAL women (and men) in these areas. I don't mean to condescend, but not knowing how old you are…do you remember Margaret Thatcher? Jeanne Kirkpatrick? Phyllis Shlaffley (sp?) They didn't chickify anything.
I like Palin, but I certainly don't think she's as tough as these women. Don't know that she needs to be.

She is much more qualified than what we have in the White House now. Sure, her IQ may not be as high as his (supposedly; again, as with his birth certificate, he has presented no documentary to support his claim of high intelligence, and the way he has been running the country, he is pretty much proving the opposite). But she has good instincts, whereas 0bama is clearly lacking in them. It always takes 2 or 3 announcement for him to get something right.

The only foreign policy stance Palin has laid out lately is that it would be good politically for Obama to start a war with Iran. I quite agree on the effectiveness of Thatcher, Golda Meir, Kilpatriick etc. women we were fotunate
to have and the times were will served by them. Let me ask you all a question, use your
own family. Lets say you were fortunate to have both your parents in your life through out your childhood. Did your dad operate the family when your mother was not available differently than
your mother and vice versa. They are different in how they look at things and did they not influence
one another or temper one anothers thought? In a world where we have many enemies I would prefer to have male thought and actions then the outcome or results of rule by a majority of women
