Libs are only "cool with that stuff" with regard to those people's votes and money, not those people (or any other people, for that matter) as humans. Actually, that's their general philosophy; only what people can do for them – votes, money, power, favors – is important to libs.

Who cares?
What difference does it make to you or anyone else on here?
do you know her personally?
do you know John Edwards personally?
what good could possibly come out of this posting?
an open debate on whether or not people should stay with their cheating spouses?
How do you know?
how does ANYONE posting a reply on here know?
answer: YOU DON'T. and THEY DON'T.
it seems like this was just an excuse for some easy target practice on EE.

Here's the thing, and I've not heard anyone else say this, but we KNOW he cheated on her with Rielle (aka, Lisa). We also know he slept with Rielle the first night he met her. Therefore, logic would tell us that (a) he has done this sort of thing before and that (b) Elizabeth has known he is/was a cheat for quite some time. She knew she was foisting a hoax upon NC when he ran for the Senate. She has been an accomplice for an awfully long time, it just so happens that he (or really), they got caught.

I agree with everything the author and the posters have said about John Edwards, but I don't think his wife deserves such unkind treatment by the author. I'd be more impressed with her if she hadn't written a book – is she trying to make some money of her own to support herself? – but she's more than paid the price for standing by the narcissist.
If all women who are treated badly by their husbands were blamed for staying with them, there would be few intact marriages – the same may be true for men staying with their wives. That's one of the main ways civilization maintains itself – people suck it up to keep important institutions intact, children profit and become our good citizens of the future.

Joe, I agree with your take on this article. It is mean spirited, petty, misogynistic, and in its own way is a mirror image of the dirt heaped on Sarah Palin by the left, that the right spent so much time wailing about. Who in their right mind attacks terminal cancer victims this way, publicly? This reflects only on the author, not on the subject. And the approval it has met with on this site reflects poorly on those who are supposedly interested in media, communications, public relations, etc. etc.

However, your namecalling — "sleaze pimp" "sorry excuse for pigeon droppings" — completely undermines your objection to it and puts you in the same league.
