Cronkite Award for Couric Represents Journalism’s Rotting Corpse
by John ZieglerOn April 15th, the “prestigious” (and apparently now openly liberal) USC Annenberg School for Communication will be presenting CBS Evening News Anchor Katie Couric with the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Journalism.
Now, for there to even be such a thing as an prize for “Excellence in Television Journalism” in an age where a desperate thirst for ratings has caused most TV “news” to become little more than glorified infotainment, is a bit like passing out awards for fiscal responsibility to members of Congress. But for Katie Couric, the poster child of this “infotainmentification” of news, to be the recipient of such an oxymoronic honor is much like if that aforementioned trophy for frugal spending in Congress went to John Murtha or Barney Frank.
But what makes this situation so particularly galling is the specific reason why Couric is being honored for her “excellence in journalism.” Couric is being presented with the award for “Special Achievement for National Impact on the 2008 Campaign.”
What was it that Couric did that was so “special?” The judges singled her out solely for “her extraordinary, persistent and detailed multi-part interviews with Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.”
Of course there is no disputing that the perception created by that interview and the ensuing media and entertainment coverage of it clearly had enormous impact on how Barack Obama got elected, but is this the kind of “achievement” that journalism is supposed to be honoring? (If it is, shouldn’t the award really go to Tina Fey?) And is there any doubt whatsoever that had Couric asked the exact same questions and Palin had been perceived as having performed well (or if one of her softball interviews with Barack Obama had brought down his candidacy) that there would be no awards for her from USC or anyone else of note?
So it’s obvious Couric is being rewarded for the political result of her interview (the shooting down of a conservative superstar just in time to save the Obama campaign) and not the “journalism” of it, but that truth is not even the most outrageous aspect of this absurdity. That lies in the reality that not only shouldn’t Couric be getting rewarded for that Palin interview, in a world where journalism still mattered at all she would have been roundly condemned for it.
How do I know this? Because I have devoted most of the last eight months of my life to telling the real story behind the media coverage of the 2008 election with my documentary “Media Malpractice…How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted.” The focal point of my film is the exclusive interview I did with Governor Palin from her home in Wasilla where she reveals more than enough evidence to completely discredit Couric’s USC award.
Even though my Palin interview has gotten a ridiculous amount of media coverage, nearly every TV “journalist” has somehow missed the most important revelation regarding the Couric/Palin showdown. That dealt with how Couric’s agenda-driven obsession with trapping the Governor on the abortion issue convinced Palin that she was in enemy territory and that nothing Couric asked was to be trusted or taken on face value.
Here are two clips on this specific topic from my interview with Palin.
Abortion was not the only issue where Couric’s intentions were clearly not “journalistic” in nature. Here, Katie bizarrely asked Palin for an example of when John McCain had ever been in favor of tighter regulation in the financial realm other than his outspoken efforts with regard to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which is was kind of like inquiring, “other than that Mrs. Lincoln how was the play?”
But it wasn’t just the very odd tactic of taking by far the most important answer off the table (rendering the question meaningless except for its “gotcha” quality) that put this episode into the level of “Media Malpractice.” The way that the exchange was played on the air made it seem to many (including at least one prominent Fox News reporter), that Palin could not answer the question at all and was only able to meekly respond, “I’ll have to get back to you on that one.”
Here, Palin says the false notion that she hadn’t cited the obvious “Fannie and Freddy” example wasn’t the only misimpression left by the editing of the CBS interview.
Selective editing also left the impression (thanks to an in-artful Palin attempt to actually answer the question the way Couric asked it) that the Governor mistakenly thought that the Wall Street bailout bill was actually about “health-care.”
Here’s what really happened there.
The most infamous moment of the Couric/Palin interview was the unforgettable, “What do you read?” question (and the very quick and not nearly as innocent as it might appear, “but which ones specifically, I’m curious…” Couric follow up). Here is Palin’s perspective on why her non-answer was so misunderstood.
Other than the abortion answer which is the key to unlocking the context of the Couric interview, the two Palin clips from my interview that have been vastly under-reported (obviously because they couldn’t possibly compete with the “substance” of the “catfight” clips involving Plain taking on Couric, Fey and Caroline Kennedy) deal with the overall magnitude of what transpired here and why anyone who cares about the truth or the nature of our news media should be open to the overwhelming evidence in my film, regardless of their political persuasion.
Palin on the media’s “seek and destroy” mission against her candidacy
USC and Walter Cronkite should be embarrassed giving this award to Katie Couric. Of course, it is quite possible they just don’t know the facts of why that is so obviously the case. I hope to take care of that ignorance (the corresponding liberal agenda I can’t do anything about) on the day of the awards ceremony. While I was not able to get a ticket, I plan to be at the event handing out copies of “Media Malpractice” to any of the attendees who want to know the facts.
I am sure I will be received warmly. After all, isn’t getting the facts what journalism is supposed to be all about?

Having grown up after Vietnam, I never saw Cronkite as anything but a defeatist, left-wing hack. I never knew him as the voice of America as so many older apparently people do. So it really doesn't surprise me that an award in his name would be given to a tabloid "journalist" who did a hit piece on a Republican.
I smell Emmy, I smell France
And a Peabody in my pants.
Imagine the pride of association with MIchael Moore and ALGORE, at least they rhyme.
Agreed, although I'd add washed-up to the list of his attributes as well. My uncle was in Vietnam during Tet and he's always had some "spirited" words about Cronkite. None of which I can post here.
wait, wait !
I smell Duranty, I smell France
I see a Pulitzer in my pants
And a……… oh hell with it…………………
There are so many awards thrown around that they hardly mean anything anymore. And if Couric is the most deserving journalist, that tells you about the sorry state of journalism today.

I agree with the article completely, today's news is mostly about ratings and sensationalism. If those things can be combined with political orthodoxy and "gotcha" questions against the "wrong side" then it's a lock that any reporter will get accolades for work that in the past would be laughed at for even claiming the title "fair journalism."
What most people in the media today do is nothing more than what the Hearst reporters did, or reporters for county newspapers did when the name "Democrat" or "Republican" on the banner actually meant what it said and people knew what they were buying. The difference is today's media types try to pretend they're impartial and wise arbiters of the "truth" (even if, and it usually does, contradicts the facts) that the people need to know. Most of them are actually aware of this in their heart of hearts, but that's all fine in their eyes too so long as their political agenda is allowed to be woven into what passes for the news.

I did a toon about this, too.
You and Golani are both on the right track. If you remember, I was an opponent of the Viet Nam war. When Cronkite declared after the Tet offensive that the war was lost, I bought it along with millions of other Americans. It became a self-fulfilling prophecy. Of course we later got the truth from North Vietnamese General Giap, who thanked Cronkite for saving them from the worst defeat imaginable at a time when the North knew it had lost. Cronkite almost single-handedly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by lying to the American people. The Tet Offensive was in reality North Vietnam's Waterloo. Cronkite made it sound like North Viet Nam's Yorktown.
Today, I think that getting the Cronkite Award for journalism is a lot like getting the Satan Award for virtue.
Katie Couric asked what Sarah Palin read. Sarah Palin couldn't answer. Period.
So, context doesn't matter to you? Clarity? Just surface impressions you take away from an edited video interview?
Did you even listen to the clip where Palin explains her reaction?
The Torquemada Award would be more like it.
. ………………………………………………wOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW……………………………………………
It's been ELEVEN WEEKS since Obama's landslide victory over the stooopid Hot Mom Palin/Old Man GOP ticket
and you guys are still crying about it?
Palin didn't lose due to media coverage…except for the fact she stepped in front of the cameras (!) — and acted the fool !! She said n–o-t-h-i-n-g relevant…and she has troubling personal famly issues, to boot!
INTELLIGENT US voters saw through her ridiculous substitution as a ploy for Clinton voters and realized,
NO WAY!
It is a pity Katie is getting an award for which you do not approve …but trust this – you will probably never win award of any national presitge because you, John Ziegler, are a Bretibart NOBODY!! .
..and as we all know, being a hack for Breitbart means you are automatically a CELEBUTARD – so….well,
you DO win at least one award.
You get extra bonus CELEBUTARD points for using the Hitler-esque, divisive word, 'liberal'.
"I am sure I will be received warmly. After all, isn’t getting the facts what journalism is supposed to be all about? "
You will be lucky not to get lynched, by the likes of wr1 & friends.
"Don't confuse me with the facts! My mind is made up!"
Sure, and it made no sense at all. Palin decided that Couric was out to get her in the interview, so the best way to handle that was to stop answering questions.
Right.
Even if that ludicrous story was true, it just goes to show how completely unready to lead this woman is. A major network interivew is the time to show the people who you are. If you think the reporter is hostile, then you work harder. You don't sulk and hope everyone knows how mean Katie Couric is.
Like Golani, I know several vetrans who are really pis..d at Cronkite. But I also know lots of older people who got their news from him every day for decades and they honestly thought that everything that came out of his mouth was 100% true — at least until recently.
I wonder if his betrayal was the first link in the chain that led to today's distrust between the media and the populus? The MSM has certainly made it worse, but that instance may have been the beginning?
By the way, "The Satan Award for virtue" — classic.
Indeed, the Tet Offensive was a crushing defeat for the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army and what's more the troops on the ground knew it at the time. That's why they were so flabbergasted when Cronkite came out with his "the war is un-winnable" drivel over Tet, they knew what they'd done but it was being portrayed as the complete opposite of what happened by the press.
Perception can indeed trump reality, to the point where the political leadership was believing press reports over actual military reports, all of which lead to the downward spiral of support for the war, and eventually the disgraceful abandonment of support for the South Vietnamese when they could have at the very least contained the NVA offensive that eventually took Saigon. The government made promises to the Republic of Vietnam which they broke, in large part, by believing the "impartial press."
I love your line about the Satan Award for Virtue, I'll have to remember that the next time someone is talking about someone receiving rather dubious awards.
Put up the name "Palin" and the Troll-O-Bots come crawling out of the woodwork. Media Matters has a whole basement full of them, chained at their PCs and paid sweatshop labor wages for every drive-by hit on Big Hollywood and Townhall.com.
Couric stuck a big ol' knife in Palin's back not only to get her abortion-loving messiah in office, but also to bolster her career. Before the Palin interview, Couric's ratings sucked and there were rumors her perky butt was on its way out after the election. She complained bitterly that she wasn't taken seriously enough and too many people perceived her as t.v.'s overgrown cheerleader.
Sisterhood, schmisterhood. I wouldn't trust an opportunist like Katie Couric to cross the street. Enjoy it now, Toots, because like everyone else, your days as Queen of the Mountain won't last forever.
JZ, how much different, really, is this from the Nobel committee giving Jimmy C. the Peace Prize as a specific rebuke to GWB?
You don't work harder, you control the situation.
There is no reason at all to put up with a hostile interview.
From the sounds of things, Palin was not in control because it was not her campaign. It was McCain's campaign and McCain's handlers. There are a multitude of other interviews with Palin available that show her to be entirely competent and on top of her information. (Though she probably should speak more slowly, those who can't handle her accent should ask themselves why they're so prejudiced.)
Landslide? Wow…. apparently Webster should update the definition of landslide to fit yours.
Watching the national evening news is so uncomfortable that I rarely do it anymore. The obvious biases and lack of details in the reporting make the stories almost unusable for the purpose of determining a rational position on anything. The press was supposed to be a check on the government, not it's #1 cheerleader, and to be honest, at least with Bush they did point out (consistently and in a most biased fashion) any controversial ideas. Oddly, with the current administration there is no controversy, just adoration.
Let's hope that at some point the press wakes up to their real function.
Cronkite was the first stealth propagandist to pose as an objective TV anchor. He was the prototype for today's TV "journalists." Look good, have your lefty talking points at the ready, feign sympathy for the tragic "victims" of war, and announce with utter authority that the moon is made of green cheese. Looking back on it with my current cynicism about all MSM news, I wouldn't have believed him when he told us Kennedy was dead.
Great article, Zig. And i agree, the USC award is a total FARCE. Journalism, being the impartial reporting of news, bears no rememblence to what Courric has been doing all these years. USC just dropped a few notches on my Respect-O-Meter.
I can not only smell journalism's rotting corpse from here, I can see the trail of body parts they've dropped in their wake.
Real journalists should be insulted that they have to share a professional title with these partisan hacks. I can always tell when I'm talking to someone who gets their "information" from the main stream media because they are spectacularly ill informed. Or not informed at all.
I'm sorry John, I can't watch those videos. I watched some of them earlier, and I was physically ill at the hatchet job they did, and what they are STILL doing to Governor Palin. Then to see them getting awards and pats on the back for it, is adding insult to injury. How do these people live with themselves?
"And THAT's the way it is, (all you little people out there in flyover country. Don't think about it too much, and don't presume to ask questions of your betters. We're so far morally evolved above you that your tiny minds wouldn't understand the answers anyway. Just keep sending in the taxes, and don't make trouble.")
Intelligent US voters + Obama landslide victory = oxymoron.
The filthy maggot pigs enable this swill.
I pray daily that Christ the Redeemer will show you the paths of righteousness. You see, Christ was the purest liberal to ever exist upon this earth. He Himself said, "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven". Jesus helped the poor and down trodden. Conservatives, especially Republicans, trod on the down trodden, ignore the poor, and worship at the altar of lavishness. They have lost the love of Jesus, and that is almost impossible to comprehend.
yu'r smart. Did yu like think that ups yurself? We librals are so kool. Will yu be my leader?
"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven"
Boy, Judas Pelosi and Barack the Tax Collector are screwed then.
"Conservatives, especially Republicans, trod on the down trodden, ignore the poor, and worship at the altar of lavishness"
Matthew 7:1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."
Folks: I’m a conservative that has to disagree with many of you. Since this debacle occured, I've often wondered about the extent of the media training she had either before the nomination or during the campaign. (For those who consider "Media Training" to be a dirty word taken to mean prepped to be evasive, not candid or untruthful, then think "experience being interviewed").
It's not Katie's fault that Sarah Palin didn't stick to a core message point on the abortion issue, or that she doesn't have a alternative version of the thought that expresses the same thing. Why couldn't she stand pat on a heart-felt position that she articulated twice before? Trained media interviewees know that the media won't air three consecutive versions of the same question — and if they DID, the viewers would see a strong-willed, principled person being badgered by a Liberal-leaning gotcha journalist.
Katie & Sarah, part 2
Here's the key: you shouldn’t have to prep or train or practice giving honest, straightforward answers to relevant questions. This wasn’t as bad as the “Who’s the president of Pakistan?” question George W Bush was sandbagged with as he walked off an airplane during the 2000 campaign. Now THAT's a gotcha question. “What do you read?” isn’t hard to answer if you DO read; it is if you don’t.
After listening to these clips, I'm more certain than ever that Sarah was the weak link.
John, thank you so much for your time and effort in keeping the truth alive and real. I'm underwhelmed by the Mainstream Media's self-glorification. They are nothing but party-hacks, spreading the party talking points. I was on to their game even when I was a pre-teen, back in the early '80s. Keep up the good fight, John. You have a voice that I don't.
Couric getting the Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism is like Jeffrey Dahmer getting the Hannibal Lechter award for Excellence in cooking.
"“What do you read?” isn’t hard to answer if you DO read; it is if you don’t."
Eh, anything she said would have been the wrong answer. She just happened to give the answer that was the easiest to spin completely out of control… which sucks.
Landslide… landslide… OH, you mean this?
http://www.livingroomcandidate.org/images/campaig...
I don't think it quite looked like that this year…
I heard John Tesh is up for an award this year as well.
C'mon, Katie's kind of like Cronkite. Isn't her slogan "And that's the way it isn't!" ? Well?
Hey Katie, ask our Prez what language they speak in Austria, why dontcha? Or maybe how the word Orion is pronounced?
Palin just proved she has tons more intelligence than our woefully unqualified President by coming out and stating the need for increased missile defense. North Korea fires off a missile toward Alaska and the following day Obama is assuring everyone overseas that he will start cutting our nuclear defenses. WTF!!
Actually Katie and the other 99% of the newsmedia deserve an award for being able to speak so clearly with Obama's #%@$ in their mouth.
At the risk of fulfilling Matthew 5:22(b) "…But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell." I can't let you get away with the "Jesus was a liberal" lie.
If you truly think that, stopstuff, then you are a fool.
Jesus and God are one and the same.
John 10:30 “I and the Father are one”
Jesus/God is eternal.
Deuteronomy 33:27 "The eternal God is your refuge…"
John 8:58 "Jesus declared, "I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."
Jesus/God is unchanging.
Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever"

conservative -adjective- disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change.
noun – a person who is conservative in principles, actions, habits, etc.
liberal – adjective- favorable to progress or reform (change)
noun – a person of liberal principles or views
God created and laid down the rules for the Earth and everything/one in it. It was MAN that got away from how God set things up. It was MAN who sinned. It was/is MAN who who thought/thinks his way is better. It was man who left God. Jesus/God did not/ does not change. He is the ultimate "existing condition". Man is the liberal, the one who wants to change what God has done.
Jesus came to call man BACK to God. He is the very definition of "conservative".
Isaiah 32:5 "The vile (foolish) person shall be no more called liberal (generous)…"
Isaiah 32:6 For a fool speaks nonsense, and his heart inclines toward wickedness: To practice ungodliness and to speak error against the LORD,…
Proverbs 1:22 "How long, O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded? And scoffers delight themselves in scoffing and fools hate knowledge?
Use the brain God gave you and read ALL of the Bible, don't just rely on your emotion to tell you what/who you "think" Jesus is.
Walter Crankcase should have to live under the communist system he championed in Vietnam. He's an old pig. I'm ashamed he attended U. of Texas. Oops we'll be there in a few more years, relax Uncle Walt! I hope you fall of your yacht.
I like the way you spelled family. Honestly, I bet you haven't changed your shorts in like what? Two weeks? Three? Get out of Mom's basement so she can vacuum, go feed your goat.
I generally agree, but no matter what Palin said or did she was going to get ambushed, so to speak. I certain that she was briefed and it doesn't matter. The M.S. media had an obvious agenda, Katie is just a foot soldier in the battle. The tide was riding Democrat this cycle, the GOP could have run Teddy Roosevelt and Lincoln and would have lost to the ACORN and uninformed moron voter blocks.
If every MILLIONAIRE DEMOCRAT were barred from the Senate and House Chambers you wouldn't have enough Dems to side up for a freakin softball game. Philanthropy with OUR tax $$$. Democrats and their urchins have gone crazy.
Very nice work USArt. Well done, bravo. I'm ashamed I don't have as quick and strong a command of our Holy Bible. I guess I could slink out of the room and go get one….
Though it's no substitute for reading a Bible while holding it in your hands, biblegateway.com is very helpful.
Katie, you really should use your own name instead of this silly nom de pleurre
Well, I figure, if the government wanders far enough from its function as detailed by the constitution, and fail to do its just much more than it has as far as ignoring an open border being invaded, then the people will rise up to do the job for the treason slime in there. And the media certainly shall not be viewed as an impartial observer….it shall be viewed for what it is- HALF THE PROBLEM, and be dealt with accordingly. Try not to break the cameras, though folks. Them's expensive.
It's the End of the World as we know it, but I feel fine.
This is indicative of the left wing refusal to acknowledge the difference between charity and theft.
Call it the perky.
John Ziegler is Palin's butboy. The woman couldn't answer a simple question. If the right rails about Biden for not answering silly questions like whether he's a socialist, then why can't a woman who is running for vp can't answer a question about her own running mater? She was a liability, and the Mccain campaign knows that. Everyone in the right knows that. Only hacks like Ziegler (with his fake poll and documentary) doesn't realize that. She's dumb as rock. Get over it buttboy.
"Put up the name "Palin" and the Troll-O-Bots come crawling out of the woodwork. Media Matters has a whole basement full of them, chained at their PCs and paid sweatshop labor wages for every drive-by hit on Big Hollywood and Townhall.com."
Sort of like Mongo, except far weaker and they don't realize they are mere pawns in the game of life.
Bless you.
Yep, the "simple" questions rarely are.
Yep, the "simple" questions rarely are.
There is a difference between "could not" and "would not" but I think you knew that, hence your deliberate choice of words.
Sometimes the best thing is to keep your mouth shut. Palin studied journalism in college and knows that whatever she says, it will be edited out of context. She was thrown out there by the McCain staff and the only thing left-wing nuts could do was attack her. I studied journalism in college, too, and also learned how to bias and edit any interview to fit my agenda. My agenda was distinctly conservative, thus relegated to the back pages of the school paper.
Little Katie Couric wins an award … yay! … and journalistic integrity sucks in its last shallow breath.
Isn't it a little past your bedtime?
John, I'm doing my best to clear my schedule for next Wednesday to join you at USC. Keep up the good work!
Hey, I liked how it posted that Palin had troubling family issues. LOL> I guess Obama's screwed up family, his illegal alien Aunt, his Dad with three different wives, and still sleeping with other women, his host of half brothers/sisters, one living in a 9sq ft hut, and Obama's past as a druggie are all ok, case he's on the left. Palin didn't get an abortion, and she didn't make her daughter get rid of her "mistake," so she has troubling family issues. Hypocrisy much?
So Katie gets an award for journalism excellence named after Cronkite, who once was on PBS remembering and chuckling that as a kid around Kansas City he used to steal votes from polling places for Pendergast and Truman .
No she wouldn't answer. Because any answer would of been made fun of. That is the reason why she wouldnt say anything she knew that. Whatever book or magazine would of been of scrutinized and then made into a headline like SARAH PALIN GETS HER INFO FROM TOM CLANCY NOVELS or GOOD HOUSEKEEPING INFLUENCES PALINS FORIEGN POLICY? She shut up which ws the right thing to do. period.

Hey Boo Hoo,
Hearing the opinion about Palin, from someone who thinks the words Hope and Change are deep relevant words, is truly amusing.
Only a liberal loon would take pride in any award with name Cronkite associated with it.
Wow shocking. Perhaps you could tell us what relevant question Obama was ever asked during the campaign.
I smell sour grapes, Konrad. You are sounding like Bill O'reilly!
Once again the stink of fascist right-wingers such as Ziegler insults the American people. Governor Palin deserves the comments made about her; she is a far-right separatist who referred to Alaska as a "soverign state" and has the total support of the Arian Nation, KKK, and the various violent skinheads as well as their spokemen Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. REPUBLIKKKANS CANNOT TOLERATE ANY CRITICISM OF THEIR RELIGEOUS POLITICAL PARTY!
Konrad wouldn't make a pimple on Cronkite's butt!
You don't a thing about Cronkite.
Stop pretending you're a grownup
Not since the Vietnam War have we seen such blatant bias and misleading news presentation from CBS, ABC, and NBC. From all the anti-American propaganda coming out during the Vietnam War our soldiers were gallant and enduring through it all.
"landslide"
?
I was way too young to understand the ramifications of Cronkite's declaration. Reading that from Giap, years later, sealed my disdain for journalists. That betrayal will always be unforgivable. Very apt comparison Waterloo vis a vis Yorktown. The VC were done. The NVA had to take over the war completely. None of this was ever reported at the time.
And it gets worse. The NVA was all that was left, and their sponsors had cut them off from almost any further supplies—until Cronkite made his announcement.
All states are sovereign, go read the Constitution sometimes, specifically the 10th Amendment.
And she has the support of the Arians too? Really? So she managed to get endorsed by a splinter sect of Christianity that became extinct 1200 or so years ago? Wow she's more powerful than we ever imagined!
You're funny. In the dangerously deranged category. You need to calm down and realize that hate does not make you powerful. Lies do not make the man either.
Landslide? LOL!
I bet you have not listened to one single FULL Sarah Palin interview. You know nothing about her.
Goodbye.
She didn't give ANY answer. She froze like a deer in the headlights.
Something tells me the truth is that you cannot tolerate anyone who disagrees with your views.
like you're mind
like you're mind
I wouldn't assume wr1 knew that. Him no bright.
I wouldn't assume wr1 knew that. Him no bright.
I've seen wr1's type ever since I was on Usenet. There is a good chance it knows exactly what it is trying to do: spread "teh narrative" like a good little drone. There is also a chance it's swallowed the tale and truly believes it, but that gives these drones an excuse for their behavior.
Though you're right that wr1 is not too bright, if it thinks this sort of tactic will work forever.
So you magically take that as "Palin can't read"?
You liberals have intresting thought patterns.
The only thing as depressing as a bunch of liberal usenet trolls. Is that same bunch telling/convincing each other how brilliant they are.
Damned if she does, damned if she doesn't.
Boxers or briefs?
Oh, it was that other democratic idiot.
It's been 11 weeks since the Messiah's taking the oath of office and you lefties are still whinning about the one who dared run against the Messiah.
If she was as a bad person as you all say she is. Pay no attention to her and she'll fade away. You attack her, because you know she can bring the conservatives together. You say you hate her because you say she's stupid, you fear her because you know she isn't.
Jealous much?
Watched your arrest. Now that was amusing.
