We Must Hang Together, Or We Will All Hang Separately
by John ZieglerBig Hollywood will likely contain plenty of stories dealing with and (hopefully) overcoming the hardships associated with being a “conservative” in and around Hollywood. I want to commend those who have been able to hold on to their principles and have had the courage to share their true convictions in the face of obvious and insidious prejudice.
However, coming from an area of the “entertainment” world (talk radio and documentary films) where expressing a strong opinion is not only allowed, it is mandatory; I come at this challenge from a different perspective than many of the writers for this site. I believe that a complementary relationship between those who are just now slowly “coming out” and those of us who are already battle scarred and hardened is absolutely vital to our side having any chance in the message/information war which is currently raging, and in which we have been getting creamed, for far too long.
And make no mistake this is a war we are in. One of the many reasons we are losing so badly is that their side gets this, our side does not.
When you are in a battle like this (even one that usually doesn’t involve real bullets, but rather only the verbal variety) you need generals, infantry and diplomats all working in coordination and in the best interest of the team. In my experience, our forces are largely disorganized, discouraged and in disarray. Consequently, our soldiers, through little fault of their own, are forced to act out of their own survival instincts rather than out of what might be good for the cause.
As someone who is at heart a warrior and who has put himself on the firing line with the scars (and lost jobs) to prove it, I want to make it clear that I am honestly not making a negative value judgment about those who choose to take a safer and more moderate route. In fact, I envy the ability to put self preservation in its proper priority and to properly pick and choose one’s spots. I wish my DNA was designed more towards the “diplomat,” but unfortunately this is clearly not the case. So instead, I am simply using what I have.
The point I wish to make is that in order to make efficient use of the division of labor concept, we need to accept that some of us are fighters, some of us are diplomats but we are both needed equally in this battle. All I ask is that we consider this simple deal: the “fighters” won’t disparage the manhood of the “diplomats” if the “diplomats” agree to provide some cover, or at least a little safe refuge every once in a while.
There have been numerous times in my own career when I wish such an understanding had already been in place, but the most dramatic example of which I am aware became the subject of my first film.
In 2006, ABC ran a two-night, five-hour-plus mini-series called “The Path to 9/11.” The writer/producer of this amazing film was Cyrus Nowrasteh. During the pre-broadcast controversy Nowrasteh was smeared by the mainstream media and threatened by the far left all because he had the audacity to publicly express opinions that were not “liberal.” While the left-wing blogs went on an almost literal search and destroy mission aimed at him and his family, the counter attack from the right (outside of talk radio) was, at best, anemic.
Consequently, even though the facts were almost 100% on Nowrasteh’s side (as proven in my film “Blocking the Path to 9/11”), Disney caved to the political pressure, severely edited the film, has never allowed it to be broadcast again, and even prevented the customary DVD release. If ever there was an event that personifies everything conservatives know about the plight we face in Hollywood, this is it, and yet our side has largely allowed this continuing outrage to go on without even the slightest push back.
We all know that if the exact same circumstance occurred with a liberal filmmaker (even if the facts were 100% against them) that this offense would not be allowed to stand, even when perpetrated by a giant like Disney, and that today Nowrasteh would be a household name with the ability command enormous attention for anything he does. While Nowrasteh’s career is still strong, it is hard to imagine him ever getting another “mainstream” opportunity like “Path,” which given his vast talents, is a grave injustice.
Now to be fair, thanks to the media being almost completely controlled by the left, there are ample resources to go around to fuel a fight from that side, while those on our side, lucky enough to get a seat at the table, are often understandably more concerned with keeping it than risking any of their precious capital.
But just because circumstances are far more difficult for us doesn’t excuse at least making even a symbolic effort. After all, if we are willing to lay down without a fight on issues as clear cut as the censoring of “The Path to 9/11” or the outrageous media coverage of the 2008 campaign (the subject of my next film, “Media Malpractice” www.HowObamaGotElected.com ) then there is nothing to stop the forces from the left from feeling confident they can win any victory they choose, no matter what the facts are.
Big Hollywood will likely contain plenty of stories dealing with and (hopefully) overcoming the hardships associated with being a “conservative” in and around Hollywood. I want to commend those who have been able to hold on to their principles and have had the courage to share their true convictions in the face of obvious and insidious prejudice.
Again, I honor those who come to this battle with different vulnerabilities and sensibilities than some others. Such diversity is healthy and necessary. Just please keep in mind that if our side does not support the “fighters” once in a while, then soon there won’t be any of us left standing.

This article is in dire need of editing. Whole blocks of text repeat and it’s difficult to make out the sense of it. I think some sections may have been moved around but not deleted. Edit, edit, edit!
I think the text of this article may be a little technically messed up, but an early point you made was about conservatives banding together. Our virtue is our very weakness. We believe in the individual. They believe in the group. So, they naturally band together as sheep do in a field. Conservatives are more like the wolves, sure they run in packs, but rarely in herds. I think the single biggest thing that we have to overcome in this war is the propensity to do it on our own. The question then manifests itself: do we become something akin to liberals fighting for a different tact on America, a fairer, more traditional description of our home? I hope to be a writer one day but I have reservations about being part of a “coalition.” Putting it in military terms helps alleviate that concern, but it doesn’t extinguish it. It’s my very nature to push ahead on my own.
It’s so good to see that something is being done to help conservatives in Hollywood! I posted about this and gave out your website link. It’s passed time to be fighting back and I’m so glad you are doing so. Good luck and God bless!

Hail, hail, Big Hollywood!
Finally, a voice of reason in the wilderness!
Is there any way to get “The Path to 9/11″ resurrected? A petition drive? ABC/Disney boycott? Picketing the studio? Distributing thousands of bumper stickers which say “I wanted to watch The Path to 9/11, but it’s been censored”?
Thanks for providing a concrete example of how conservatives get shut out in the entertainment industry. I’m tired of seeing liberals act like this is all a figment of our collective imagination. They don’t see it because it’s the status quo to them.
Response to Brian Hines –
I think we need to understand how they work and what they are up to, and how best to use our strengths and weaknesses against their strengths and weaknesses. This is not a specific answer, but more of a philosophy. Their big advantage right now is control over the media, which translates into controlling public opinion and social mores, which translates into controlling politics.
They also control education from K through university level, all of which has basically become an indoctrination camp for liberalism.
We need to break their control over media and education. Specifically how? Well, that remains to be figured out and done.
Please edit this piece!!! Great content, but the poor editing is a major detractor! You have to be more polished than your competition in order to be taken seriously…
–SIM, thank you much for the heads up. Bear with our growing pains — JN
Sim – really.
JZ: Good to see you here. I was honored to be at Skirball for Blocking the Path to 9/11 screening. Keep the “hits” coming.
Well I am glad to know I am not the only one who is seeing double.
The old saying “there is strength in numbers” has never run truer. It seems that the bully has been running the playground and all the other kids are so afraid of banding together and standing up against him they don’t even realize that everyone else is fed up also. We all have strengths and weaknesses and there are ways to enhance each others abilities. Sometimes simply knowing you are not alone is enough. I’m no Hollywood insider but I see that if those in hollywood see that they have public support it will be easier for them to take a stand.
What we have to realize is that this is a battle against a mindset. An ideology. It is not about money or fame it’s about a way of thinking that holds some very scary prospects. Even those who claim and spew the liberal ideology sometimes have no concept of the danger it holds. They can not see past the catch phrases. We can not lower ourselves to name calling and threats. We must educate first ourselves and then others. Knowledge is power.
If Ziggler is serious about sticking together I will wait to see if he endorses the same representative he endorsed last year in his old KY working district.
Everything he said is correct!
However, I fear it is impossible. Especially since this is right after a major GOP loss in D.C., which means the Conservative Movement/Republican Party is in a state of civil war. For the next two years (hopefully it will be that short) the GOP will be tearing itself apart until a leader comes in.
If this blog is able to succeed in becoming one source of unity for the different wings of the Conservative Movement (Libertarian, financial, nat sec, Christian, etc.), then that would be wonderful.
If this blog can convince conservatives like Voigt, Brukheimer, Grammer, and Zucker to help fellow, younger conservatives who haven’t “made it,” out, then that is good.
JN,
No problem! I’ll definitely bear with you…there’s no other place like this and I really want you guys to succeed. As a conservative and as a writer, I’m invested in your success and will push all the people I know -especially the writers I work with- to your site…
What we troops in the field need is leadership. I can think of Rush as a leader but we need a political leader, we need another Ronald Reagan. Until we have someone leading the fight we are in for an uphill battle.
S-e-p-a-r-a-t-e-l-y. Separately. This ain’t “Ain’t It Cool News”, is it? Off rant.
compl-E-mentary, not complimentary
Zig! Man, we miss your voice on the radio. KFI only shines from 9am to noon anymore. But, keep up the good work, and hope to see you on Big Hollywood regularly.
Hey, JN, what about an audio blog featuring JZ? Just give him a microphone and tape recorder and a one-way ticket to follow Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi around!
JZ, you write like you talk. Great for listening, not so much for reading. I’m fighting in my own little corner in LA, humilitating the uninformed by offering facts. Their best answer is “oh! I didn’t know!”.
To all you critiques in here, isn’t the message more important? Where are your interests lie?
Mr. Ziegler – you’re absolutely right. We’re NOT fighting. In fact, it’s worse than not fighting. Phony ‘conservatives’ are even stabbing in the back other conservatives who do fight. (Yes, McCain, I am talking about you.)
You are also right, Mr. Ziegler, in saying that this is a war. It is, and the enemy now occupies the White House, controls Congress, the media and universities. To say we’re outnumbered is putting it mildly.
All this was accomplished because when the enemy attacks us, we refuse to fight back (as you painfully discovered with the ‘Path to 9/11′). Well, the only solution is for us to fight. And that’s what I’m going to do.
Mr. Ziegler, I now volunteer as a VERY non-diplomatic fighter in your cause.
Proud to be of service, sir.
John is right, conservattives eat their own. I know all about it.
I find this concept of a ‘war’ rather amusing. First, that you believe you lost it in the first place. Second, that you believe you will win it in the second. But more to the point — and Carolyn, I’m genuinely curious — other than faux military rhetoric and the ability to repeat slogans from memory, how exactly do you intend to ‘fight’?
And remember, stamping your feet and shouting threats to the air in front of your mouth doesn’t count. Honestly. It doesn’t.
I’m actually wondering the same thing as “Harley” above: we talk a lot about “fighting” and “taking back” Hollywood or academia — but how does this translate into action?
We need something better than just writing cranky letters to the editor. This site does a valuable service by keeping up morale and letting people know they aren’t alone — but it’s preaching to the choir. The only people on the left who read this will be coming to post insulting comments or spot errors to crow about. Nobody will read this blog and be converted.
So what can we do? Encourage young conservatives to swallow their pride, nod and smile, and try to work their way into positions of power in Hollywood? Or find people willing to bankroll conservative film makers? Anything else?
Cheerleading is fine and pep rallies are fun, but at some point one actually has to get out on the field and play!
’nuff said.
Well, Harley…
First, and foremost we can continue to enlighten everyone we know concerning the new administration including Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Franks , Dodd, etc. and point out at every instance their corruption, past bad associations, poor decision making and constant lack of personal responsibility. Since we cannot count on the media to do this we must take it on ourselves to get the word out.
Secondly, we can send a barrage of letters and emails to our elected representatives concerning what we we really want them to do and support. Starting with the proposed “Stimulus” package. We don’t want it or approve of it and at the very least we need to demand accountability for their planned spending spree.
Also your comment about “stamping feet, etc., etc” is something we probably need to do more of since historically, past and present, has been the tactic of the liberal democrats. Look at the protests you see on TV and most of them are liberals protesting this that and the other and getting air time. We need to get in front of the cameras and get our views out there. After all we are the more compassionate and tolerant of the two parties which has also become more and more evident. Hence we are quieter, march and protest least, and tend to want to get along versus the liberal stance of constantly calling people names, hating the president, marching around and supporting loony causes (like global warming).
We can also “fight the war” by insisting that we have real leadership in the RNC. Refuse to donate to the RNC until they select a person that can really lead. We do not need more of the “let’s win the popularity contest” and more of “these are our beliefs and this is what we stand for and what we will stand behind every time with out fail”. We need to weed out the RINO’s (Republicans in name only) from our party and come together under our basic principles and insist that our elected officials stand behind those principles.
This past election wasn’t won by a huge landslide. There are still close to half of the voting population that is not on Obamas team. This current tactic of “we need to all come together to fix this problem” is just a scam to help the Democrats get what they want.. which is mostly things we do not want. Our resposibility will be to question, analyze and protest any of the proposed policy changes that come from this administation. We can block a lot of these “pie in the sky” ideas if we use the resources available to us (i.e. email, websites, blogs, radio and TV).
So there are a lot of things that we can do to win this war. It is evident that it has already begun based on this new web site and others that are springing up. We can change the political environment by as early as 2010. Between our party reforming and becoming what it should be and letting the Democrats self-destruct, we will again be in a position to stop the lefts agenda.
As consumers, we have the ideal “tool”…boycott!!!
I am willing to give these guys time to get the site going and all bugs worked out. They have to start somewhere. I love Ziegler, he is passionate, and best of all, I got to hear him make that tool Nate Silver from 538 sound even goobery than he appears.
“Blocking the Path to 9/11″ is a very good film … and a real eye opener for anyone who thinks cultural bias doesn’t exist.
I’d love to see some actors from the miniseries speak out about a possible DVD release. Studios put out EVERYTHING on DVD these days, from “The Dark Knight” to the worst sitcoms imaginable.
We miss you being on LA radio and hope you will be back on soon.
Oh, Harley, I’m so thrilled that I’m giving your meaningless existence a purpose. I can only guess how tiresome it must get squatting on your sofa in mom’s basement, tapping on her keyboard while she’s away at work. All the pent up resentment from that tongue lashing she gave you after your 43rd birthday about you FINALLY getting a job, etc. – well, it must make you feel good to lash out at an anonymous person on the Net and give them the snide, nasty putdowns which you can only mutter behind mom’s back. (Feel better, Harley?)
Now – Cambias has a good point. Cheerleading is fine and pep rallies are fun, but at some point one actually has to get out on the field and play!
Well, that is the whole POINT of this new site. It is the ‘field’ for all of us to gather in from all points of the nation. BH recognizes the truth of ‘united we stand, divided we fall’. Since this site only started yesterday, it will obviously take a while for all of us to organize. Of course, there will be the various loopy libs who’ll drop in to unload snide bombs on us – but that’s to be expected. The point is, we’re going to get organized.
Ziegler has already outlined in painful detail the cost of our division, our lack of support for the conservative cause, our failure to do battle. Well, now we’re going to put it right. We will use this site to organize and in a very short time we will come up with strategies.
I for one am looking for a new studio to be created. I say it’s a waste of time with the old studios. I mean, come on, if they are so insanely blinded by their leftist ideology that they defy the sole purpose of their existence – i.e., to make films that make money – than they’re beyond help. I mean, how can one negotiate with a business that is determined to put itself out of business? Hollywood loves films that don’t make a profit (”Redacted”, “Valley of Elah”, “Lions for Lambs”, etc.) and hates films that do (”Narnia”, “Path to 9/11″, “Passion of the Christ”, etc.)
I say we need an independent studio. And there are rich conservatives out there who can fund it. In this last election, I noted several wealthy conservatives who funded their own ads against Obama after McCain made it clear he would kiss Obama’s ass rather than kick it. So there are conservatives out there who have the money it takes to fund an independent studio. And, like liberals who take nothing to fund a movie they believe in, than there are conservatives who take reduced wages for the same kind of effort.
But we have to get organized first. We’re instead divided. Which is why we fell in this last election. And badly.
This new site is the ‘field’ of our dreams. We’re going to get organized. And then we’re going to kick some butt.

Opps, sorry about the double post. I thought it had vanished so I submitted it again. This site seems to have a tendency to tell me ‘you’re typing too fast’ when I submit a post – and then the post disappears. Hmm, interesting.
Anyway, sorry about the double post.
Harley please apparently you don’t like knowing that there are people out there who don’t agree with you. Guess what? Most people don’t. I know reality….tough rough concept for peeps like you get but try. OK?
Stephanie, may I introduce you to the last presidential election when it comes to ‘most people.’ Thanks. Okay?
Carolyn, glad I inspired you toward some actual ideas. Your ability to spew venom is impressive, but that will only take you so far. (It’s also rough on that Kaypro computer screen. Go on, girl. Upgrade!) The Build Your Own Studio idea sounds good in theory, but I doubt there’s much room for it in practice. The movie studios we have are fairly conservative entities already — at least when it comes to Guild contracts — and while I know you find this hard to believe, they are primarily money-making and movie-making organizations, not political ones. Those ‘rich conservatives’ with big pockets you’re looking for don’t need to build their own studio to make movies. They can utilize the system that is currently in place, and with far less financial risk. As for organizing, okay, that’s a start. But again, I’m not sure what all the organizing is about. Boycotts? Networking? Backslapping? Hearing your own opinions echo back at you?
Trying to make Hollywood ‘more conservative’ makes no more sense than trying to make the NFL ‘more liberal’. In the main, movies and football have nothing to do with politics. Why try to force the issue? Breitbart has a larger point about the culture war, but frankly that’s a war you lost a long time ago, if only because the creative impulse tends to come from a place that is anti-authoritarian, and counter to the prevailing culture. That’s an emotional, not political, foundation, by the way. And yes, it occurs to a varying degree, depending on the individual. To put it simply? There’s a reason you’ve got a lot of liberal writers and a lot of conservative cops. The latter do much more important work. The former write the movies you watch (or boycott).
Having said that, good luck with the butt kicking.
Ziegler’s video had serious problems which limited its effectiveness, and he doesn’t seem to be too interested in learning from his mistakes:

John,
Happy to see you writing here and I look forward to future contributions.
I highly recommend your film, ‘Blocking the Path to 9/11′ to all as essential viewing. Excellent work.
Also, a pleasure to meet you last month @ Evan Sayet’s show @ the Laugh Factory. You did well helping out Evan, who was a little under the weather that night, as host. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves will be back soon.
A suggestion for your next article, leaner/meaner bio. Less is more.
Keep up the good work and continued success.
I liked David Foster Wallace’s piece about Mr. Ziegler. The great American enterprise of huckster and snake oil salesman reside in Mr. Ziegler’s plastic soul.
If you really want to be a modern Christian soldier fighting the forces of evil, you could start with a war on war.
I’m more intelligent and more talented than Mr. Ziegler, and I know perfectly well why I voted for President Obama. It undoubtedly makes Mr. Ziegler feel superior to characterize Obama voters as stupid and misinformed, but the reasons for Mr. Z’s belief is between him and his shrink.
No need to pile on, but anyone who witnessed Nate Silver’s takedown of Mr. Zieglar over at fivethirtyeight.com — and he did it the cruelest way possible, by printing a transcript of their telephone conversation — will take what he says here with a grain of salt. Or ignore it altogether.
Thank Goodness for this website…. Hollywood Listen Up !!!
I want to know who the conservative actors are. Just after 9/11 I started boycotting movies and TV shows based on the mouths of the actors. I actually look at who all the actors, directors, producers are of a movie and if they are the liberal maniacs, well that is one movie I won’t be watching. Haven’t seen a good movie in a long long time. They have been shameful and if their movies are suffering “GOOD”. They need to suffer, just like our soldiers suffer everyday being away from their families, just like each of us suffer each day wondering if we are going to be attached again. This is not a make believe movie that when it’s over in 2 hours we all go home happy as hell that we spent our money. This is reality, this is someone’s loved ones, someones mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin. These are our family members who were attacked at home, attacked in the line of duty and these are our true “Heroes”. It’s time the true conservatives came out of the closet and understood that many of us have stopped supporting the liberals and are looking to support those that believe like we do “This is the best damn country to be living in.” I personally would like to watch a decent TV Show, a decent movie but your silence doesn’t let us know who you are so we can direct our hard earned money towards your endeavors.
COME OUT, COME OUT WHERE EVER YOU ARE !!!
God Bless each of you.
John, good to see you here. I’m an old listener from your KFI days. You were my late night companion when I would wash the dishes. This was when you did your later shift. I moved away in 2005, so I didn’t catch you after that, but I did read your story on the web about a year ago. Keep going. As you you used to play at the end of your show, a great man once said, “we will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail.”
Hey! It’s that punk who can’t hold a radio job, “outs” his co-workers, and who produces sham documentaries! Desperate for a gig, huh, punk?
This situation does need tackled, as well as the far left professors that are doing their best to deny any other thought that leans to the right.
Great points made by Mr. Ziegler and with this new Big Hollywood site, saw Breitbart on Red Eye last night, there may be hope after all. Also, the New York Times and the other Bird Cage Liners are almost dead, I don’t need to hear or care what any of them think because they have an agenda that is dangerous to my physical and financial future. So please conservative commentators of all types stop quoting them, let them wither on the vine.
Wow! This site is just another place for the right to wack each other off! And all this reference to war and fighting and soldiers and the enemy – do you feel your balls get bigger when you talk like that? Right wing buzzwords meant to incite violence. And not against real enemies like “terrorists” (another buzz word), but to fellow Americans! Either the only fight you are in is in your mind or you figure you can make a buck by exhorting the people you’ve aroused. I don’t understand why the right is so caught up in the idea of war, violence, aggression, hate, etc., why “peace” is such a “negative” idea. Eight years of right wing conservative so called “leadership” have gotten thing mighty screwed up in this country and around the world, that’s why you lost the election. This “mine’s bigger” mentality hasn’t worked, it’s only succeeded in dividing the country and hurting our relationships worldwide.
STOP DRIVING THE WEDGE DEEPER! The way to solve problems is not for conservatives to unite against liberals, but for conservative and liberals to unite.
But I guess that doesn’t make anybody any $$$, and that’s the bottom line.
Harley: the first time I visited Nate Silver’s site was because of his “takedown”. It was then that I realized he was yet another complete lightweight who’d been puffed up simply because he’s “liberal”. Silver couldn’t think his way out of a wet paper bag.
Great interview.
Obama is ineligible to be POTUS as he is Native Born at best by his own words. You need be a Natural born Citizen as required by The Constitution of the United States. Both parents US citizen and boron on US soil to be Natural Born. Simple to understand and hard not to understand it.
The Media and our Congress including mine in GA all of the Republican party are BRAIN dead. To all those that love The Constitution of the United States check it out. http://www.dixhistory.com/ For those to stupid to read and understand what you read keep your stupidity to yourselves.
24headdotcom –
You’re confusing “lightweight” with “someone I disagree with politically”. Silver absolutely nailed the general election. There was no one, anywhere, who was as accurate as he was when it came to calling the election. I happen to like the guy because he invented one of the best new baseball stats. But his political work is nearly as good.
And c’mon, if you actually read the exchange, didn’t Zieglar’s hissy-fit embarrass you just a little?
Ben Franklin said that, hang together or separately…right?
John is as stupid as sara palin.
I think it’s funny that Gov. Palin finally got to sound off honestly. Personally, Tina Fey strikes me as an idiot and I really have found no reason to put my trust in a commedian’s opinion for any political candidate. I agree feel that the media and liberal democrats, as per usual, pick on the smallest things that candidates do (like misspelling “potatoes”) and make them out to be character flaws. This election was no different. Sarah Palin demonstrated herself to be a worthy candidate. Liberal democrats hated the fact that she has religious convictions. If she’d had the politically correct beliefs and the morals of an alleycat, she’d been just fine.
Bruce, father has a saying that applies perfectly from me to you. “Be careful what you say about others, you never know when they might be saying the same thing about you.
Have a nice day, “Bruce.”
There is no denying that there was a strong media bias.
The main stream media wanted Obama to be president (and not Hillary or McCain) so, they distorted the image of Sarah Palin through gossip and slander and anonymous attacks.
Sarah Palin made mistakes , but also Obama and Biden made mistakes during this election.
But the mistakes of Palin were immense exaggerated by the main stream media , and the same media barely paid attention to the mistakes of Obama and Biden.
Palin worked in her political career many times with Democrats and independents; also this fact is not known by the larger public .
Jim,thanks so much for your comments. You’ve really hit the nail on the head in this. The bias in the media was so obvious. I agree it’s time for a change in government and I support the president because he’s our president but I personally don’t think we’ve truly voted for a change. As long as we have a media system that is so obviously liberal and schewed in their thinking, people will never get a fair picture of any candidate.
They picked the most inane things about Palin. One very irritating thing to me was the big deal about her wardrobe. I don’t know about you but I’ve never heard of or seen Nancy Pelosi or Hilary Clinton in Wal-mart and their formal attire for special events, to my knowledge, have never “come off the rack.” It just seems that the real issues sometimes get confused with what’s really important and people like Katie Couric and Tiny Fey (of all people) do exploit this.
I so appreciate your interview. I’m a huge fan of Sarah Palin. I am sorry that she was so beat up during the last election. The RNC didn’t help and I am discussed with how they are now treating Chip Saltsman. Until they understand what real American Conservatives want and stop listening to the other side – we will continue to lose elections.
It’s pretty sorry the way the McCain people handled Palin, but Sarah should have fought back and told them to back the hell off, instead she let them dictate to her what she had to say and do. I do believe she has a bright future in front of her in national politics, but she needs to be out in front of the curve and not forced behind it. Oh and before i go…that person who used that knife on tina fey should have his butt kicked for not aiming 3 inches lower.

John, thank you for doing this documentary. There is NO doubt about the media bias. My sister, who voted Obama and didn’t believe Palin was qualified to be “one heart beat away…”, still acknowledges the media bias.
I wanted to also send a note to Tina Fey, through you, if I could, since you live in the mecca:
Ms. Fey, I have a question for you, but first and afterwards, some comments:
I can see Mexico from my front porch! Juarez, Mexico to be exact and it’s nothing to laugh at. Maybe you and/or Katie Couric don’t read the kinds of publications that would inform you about what’s happening a mere stones throw from El Paso, TX, but the drug cartels are wreaking terror, torture & torment on the poor people of that country.
It started on the northern frontier, the drug route to their largest customer, but has fast spread to all parts. Currently they are trying, with alot of success I might add, to completely destroy any normal economic activity through extortion and hostage taking (they litteraly took over an American parented “maquila”, for a day and robbed and pillaged.
The Mexican government has kind of backed down, it seems, after this current president started his term by vowing to rid Mexico of drug trade and came out with guns blazing. I feel sure he is now fearing for his life and questioning whether his govt has whatever it would take to accomplish his goal. Afterall, the equivalent of our VP is dead and the death toll in Juarez alone in 2008 was over 1,600 people. Add to that the 4,000 (give or take a thousand…I haven’t heard an official number in over 1.5 years), young women who’s deaths our own FBI, after assisting Mexico in it’s investigations, suggests might also be mostly related to drug trade, or rather at the hands of those directly involved in drug trade on the Mexican side.
(finally to my question) Done any blow lately? Smoked any pot with your buds at SNL and that other TV show of yours I am so proud to say I have never, and never will watch? You and/or Katie been looking the other way while those in your elite little circles are consuming drugs?
Keep making fun. Keep doing your job. You and Katie, you’re HOT! Hope you don’t find that your daughter is ADD, ADHD, or worse Autistic, once she comes of school age. But, if she is, please don’t blame it on innoculations or something else as hysterical and I hope you won’t be suing the drug companies if Obama get’s them legalized and investigative journalism discovers you’ve been had…reg..el paso, tx
Great post, John. And right on! The fighters are taking the arrows and there’s no ground cover coming from the ‘diplomats’. Bunch of pussies. FTS — Avoiding confrontation seems ingrained on our side. Well, the ‘get-along’ philosophy has revealed what it gets us. I’m with you.
