I have to say that I am completely on the left side of politics. However, reading this post was refreshing and enlightening. "No One is Really Beautiful" is one of my Top Twenty Album faves, and our difference of political opinions will not change that. You make some really beautiful music! I can only hope that someday you will play on the east coast in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. Thank You.

What a night…

First, congratulations Jude on the above article and your ‘Coming Out To A Whole New World’ Exciting times indeed.

I feel as if I’m a bit late to the party as this was posted by you on the 13th. However, I caught the replay of you and Andrew on the Hugh Hewitt show earlier today (great job) and finally got around to reading your story.

As a result, I decided to hop over to Amoeba Records in Hollywood to purchase one of your CD’S to find out, they’re only available online.

It’s cool. While I was @ Amoeba, I picked up a copy of ‘City of Angels’ soundtrack, which was where I first heard you years ago. ‘I Know’ is just an amazing piece of music.

Back home, after a little dinner and music, decided to go to CD Baby and purchase a copy of ‘Cuba’…so now I’m satisfied.

One thing, which is becoming clearer to me, is the importance of continuing to support artists such as you. Your talent and those qualities which make you the man that you are, will carry you through out your life. This latest chapter, is yet another opportunity which to grow.

As you noted, ‘In the end, music is its own justification, and the joys of song transcend people and time…’

Just read about you in Jay Nordlinger’s (isn’t he great!!) post. Your piece was a needed shot in the arm as we (me, my husband, and other Conservatives up here in NW Michigan) sadly watch the goings on in Washington as the liberal media salivates all over itself.

Hi Jude! I just read about you on National Review. You ARE brave … and I love it! When art and truth are united what is produced is powerful! I became a conservative a long time ago. My friends and I sat around listening to a new Who album, “ …The old man has all the money, and the young man ain’t got nothing in the world these days!” My friends loved that song (Young Man) but I thought about the lyrics. Every “Old man” I knew wanted us young men to be successful, to have money and family and freedom. The kid next to me had a father who worked for Delco and he practically begged us kids to take summer jobs where he worked. The song sounded good … it was exciting … and it was pure B.S. After that I listed to all the music of my generation carefully. I thought about the ideas being expressed and I asked myself, “Is this true?” Today’s music is filled with lies. Jude, I don’t know your music but I plan to know all about it soon.

If more of what is now YOU would speak out Jude then the entertainment business would be a much freer business. Probably a better product would come out of too. I know the percentage is not going to be 50 but if its even 30 then they could not treat conservative artist differently. Be too many of them even at 25%. If you coming out gets even one more to do it then you’ve done much good. Not gonna lie and say I knew who you were until Nordlinger mentioned you. Hard rock from the 70’s and 80’s plays in my head all the time, I don’t need a radio. But good for you, I hope you make mucho music and cash in the future but mostly that you are happy.
