All that I once thought were core American values and traditions are now being washed away in a sea of propaganda and political attacks from the radical Left, which now rules supreme and knows it. The Left in power is now waging an ideological war not only against conservatives, but any dissenting Americans who get in their way. Worst of all, they are using the full machinery of the government and their Lefty media lapdogs to do it all, and in the same fashion as Ahmadinejad’s government is demonizing the Green protesters in Iran.
It is chilling to witness, in the United States of America of all places. Civil political discourse is a thing of the past. You cannot oppose ObamaCare without being a swastika-waving corporate Nazi stooge. Never mind the fact that no one will tell us exactly where all the hospitals, doctors, and nurses to treat 50 million new patients will magically materialize from, or how it will all be paid for.
Likewise, you cannot oppose the draconian Cap-and-Tax bill without being a Global Warming heretic on the order of a Holocaust denier. Never mind the frost and record summer lows in my home state of New Hampshire or record cold temperatures worldwide. And you can’t oppose any of President Obama’s policies without being a racist. In short, every political issue these days is being taken far too personally by the petty tyrants of the Left, and made into ideological battlefields against any and all American citizens who stand in the way.
Also greatly disturbing are statements from our new FCC ‘Diversity’ Chief Mark Lloyd, a black radical Communist who has been caught on film praising Hugo Chavez’ stifling clampdown on Venezuela TV and radio stations as effective government media regulation policy. Mr. Lloyd also seeks to fine broadcasters 100% of their operating budget if they don’t meet certain “diversity” criteria, in effect instantly bankrupting them. One way of putting conservative talk radio out of business, I guess.
Worst of all is the double standard on Brownshirt-like violence and intimidation. You could start with the vague Republican platform-covering DHS report of April 14th (just in time for the Teabagger Parties), which even DHS civil liberties lawyers opposed. You could then move on to the three racist Black Panther Party poll watcher thugs in Philly who committed what Bartle Bull, a Jim Crow South poll observer, called in his affidavit “the worst voter intimidation I’ve ever seen” receive Get-Out-of Terrorizing-White-Voters-Free cards, courtesy of Obama’s and Eric Holder’s Injustice Department.
Then you could wrap it all up with the racial slandering and beating of Kenneth Gladney, which the SEIU thugs who beat him and their bosses tried to turn around and blame on him, despite damning video of the event. For the icing on the ideological cake, a young Democratic activist smashes up the windows of a Democratic Party office in Denver to the tune of $11,000.00, yet that damage is still being blamed by Democrats on ObamaCare protesters despite the facts even they know to be true.
I am a service veteran of the Cold War. I remember very distinctly what it was we were fighting vis-a-vis the Soviets: a power-mad totalitarian state based on a rigid ideology that crushed its own people underfoot, branded any and all dissenters as counter-revolutionaries, and used the propaganda machinery of PRAVDA and TASS to make sure the enemies of the state knew exactly who they were. As I’m sure many CIA career employees are feeling right now, given the Left’s and the Injustice Department’s political persecution of them of late. I guess ACLU papparazzi outing agents to Gitmo terrorists ain’t no big deal like Valerie Plame, huh? Since their cause is so just?
When a Lefty pundit like Chris Matthews talks about using sodium pentothal to get to the truth on an ideological matter from Obama’s political opponents, I’d normally consider that pure Lefty insanity. But given all the other factors in play, I have to wonder: just how serious is he being? Then there’s the President’s plan to created a new civilian national defense army as powerful as our military. For what purpose? Who will lead that army? The New Black Panther Party, given the bangup job they did at the polls in Philly last year? And for which they’ve been cleared to provide “security” for again? Or the SEIU Purpleshirts, who have already proven they can handle reprobate ObamaCare protesters?
Scary stuff, people. Lefties may have howled during the Bushitler years, but never did the Bush government, or any other for that matter, take such an active role in demonizing the minority party, or actively work to suppress freedom of speech and expression through intimidation as ours is today. Michael Moore and Al Franken were free to rant to the skies. Randy Rhodes of Air America even simulated Bush’s assassination on the air. Yet Rush Limbaugh says he wants Obama’s policies to fail, and liberal Democrats in Congress start a petition against him.
Even worse, Obama himself establishes a political campaign against Rush, a private citizen, from within the Oval Office itself, with the full resources, power and authority of the White House. Lastly, you have Patrick Courrielche informing us of the NEA co-opting artists to promote controversial Obama legislation and policies through the arts, courtesy of we taxpayers who fund NEA. Had Mr. Courrielche not blown the whistle on that situation here at Big Hollywood, who would know about it? It begs the question: What else don’t we know about that’s going on behind our backs?
Given all that has transpired since President Obama’s and the Left’s ascendancy to supreme power in America, I’ll dare say it. I’m with Rush. If these are all what Obama’s policies are, I want them to fail, too. Miserably. I also have a name for what the Left is doing in all the above: un-American. I don’t know about you people, but I’m going to keep my eyes wide open for as long as the Left is running the show. Goes back to that eternal vigilance being the price of liberty thing.
As I stood on the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Midway twenty-five years ago, I was fully aware of the enemy we had been confronting since the end of WWII. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be fighting a Cold War at home a quarter-century later, and against that very same rigid Marxist ideology. But that is where we find ourselves today. And our Cold War at home must be fought as the old one was: tooth and nail. Go to your town halls and Tea Parties in force. Sign petitions. Speak out when you see something amiss. Evil flourishes when good men do nothing. And I see far too many evils flourishing today to sit silently on the sidelines.
Our very democracy and way of life is at stake here. Is there any greater battle worth fighting?

While this appears disturbing, there remains the chance that the siege mentality that the democrats and assorted leftists are experiencing actually signal their defeat.
It leaves one to wonder whether or not they really had their hearts in it, after all tearing down America is a tough job and what's left afterwards ? They would actually have to do something……….like move to France…….or pay their giant tax bill………or find out later that the school had gone ahead and scheduled their fifteen year old's abortion.
It's not a pretty picture, but it's one that anyone can see, regardless of their position.
Another bright side is that I've complained for the last 3 decades that Americans know bupkis about economics, but in the last year Ayn Rand, Thomas Sowell, Friedrich Hayek and Milton Friedman have been selling books by the truckload.
It is time to arm yourself, not with guns but with cameras. Video being the best and the better the camera the better the ammunition. Eventually with the right ammo only the Black Panthers and SEIU and its Ilk will support this administrations goals. This is a long war, fight it smart remove emotion when in battle.

It sure seems like all this hope and change has unchartered consequences. It reminds me of a hornets nest. The Obamaviks appear intent upon following the same strategy for consolidating enough power to divert public attention to their failings. The trick is to have an inexhaustible list of scapegoats upon whom to shift the blame when these ill-conceived programs inevitably fail.
With the Soviets, the engineers who objected that the 5-Year Plan would overburden the rail system were shot as "saboteurs"; their cowed successors who followed the orders were subsequently also shot when the rail system predictably failed. And so on infinitum, ad absurdum. The Plan was perfect; the problem was always counterrevolutionaries.
Maybe, but the most important thing to do now is to keep up the press to reveal what's really going on. _If_ we reach that Sumter moment, we need to have as many people as possible on our side, and we need to make absolutely certain that either they fire the first shots, or that our cause is absolutely justified. Otherwise, we'll look exactly like what they're trying to make us into.

I've believed for a long time we need to tear down the Berlin Wall in our own country. Too many people believe we can have some kind of yuppiefied socialism/statism where true believers can continue to live the good life that they have and assuage their moral vanity at the same time. Their definition of liberty is limited to the scope of their own personal convenience, particularly when it comes to sexuality. That's why they shrug off the MSM's one-sided reporting or attempts to shut down conservative/libertarian speech. After all, it's "Bad Speech," speech they disagree with, so who cares?

You know, one of the things I'd like people on the liberal side to realize, and to take to heart, is that starting a discussion or a comment about the Tea Parties and using the epithet "tea bagger" is like someone starting a discussion of civil rights by using the word "ni**er".
Starting off with an insult doesn't bode well for the discussion, and reflects very badly on the person using either term.
By the late 19th century, the statist-socialist-welfare state mentality begin making inroads into the American socio-political psyche; adherents of these philosophies easily used the mechanisms of the Constitution to advance their agendas. The battle now is not for the Constitution, as both sides can use it to advance their agenda, but it is for the country. The battle is between statist-socialist-collectivists and limited government individualists. Those two ideologies cannot coexist as the former cannot abide the existence of dissenters. Those who support centrally directed command economies see individuals and liberty as a threat to their plans and things to be eradicated, which is why for so many years there has been such a vitriolic campaign against the traditional values as established by the Founding Fathers.
And a great indicator of whether or not Beck is correct (after you get past his sensationalism, but then who wouldn't be sensational if you knew the truth) is how the Left is attack him so vehemetly…

The best way to get into this new Cold War is as a foot soldier in the largest adversary to the Debtocrat Party, the Republican Party. That means becoming a precinct committeeman. Over half the slots nationwide are open; in other words, the Republican Party is at half strength. And it's split about 50-50 between conservatives and moderates. Want a conservative revolution? If you're a conservative, become a precinct committeeman so you can vote in better Party leadership and endorse better candidates in the Republican primaries. Because you whiners know that if you admit the real reason you hate Obama, half of your mouth-breathing followers will drift away. I think one of the reasons the Left feels it can get away with all of the things you mention in your article is because in the past the Right has responded in a low keyed, nonconfrontational manner. It is said that nice guys finish last but I think that should be reworded that "nice guys appear to finish last at first but always come out ahead in the long run". The Right must confront the policies of the Left head on in order to prevail and I think that is exactly what will happen.

Raising the minimum wage 40% during an economic downturn; demonizing the Bush deficits of 4% GDP for six years and grabbing power to enact 13% deficits; throwing a trillion dollars into the money supply; handing a trillion to Tim Geitner's banking pals with no strings attached; going into deficit another two trillion; and the cherry on the sh*t-sunday, an open-end costed undefined government program principally designed to confiscate three trillion dollars a year in health care premiums for the personal use of Czars, Racialists, Buearacrats, and elitists; in sum, the worst economic policy in American History. High unemployment, a devalued currency and slow economic growth will be the result, and if it's not, then every Economics text ever written should be thrown away as worthless.

Let's see — they allowed the worst terrorist attack on American soil, allowed an American city to be destroyed by hurricane and did nothing to help, couldn't catch Osama Bin Laden, institutionalized torture, invaded a country that was no threat and ran up a tab in the trillions (along with uncounted lives), took a surplus and gave it away in tax cuts for the rich and left us in economic ruins. I say thank God for sites like this, and people like you who write for it, and people willing to go to the events to make their voices heard, the camera phones, and flip type video cameras, and you tube, so ALL of us can see what happens and not just sound bites the media wants us to see. I saw first hand how the media manipulates. I attended the Tucson Tea Party health care forum last Friday night. I live over 100 miles southeast in Cochise County, that's how much of an area Gabrielle Giffords covers as our Rep. The organization had two medical doctors and an economist to talk about alternatives to Obamacare. We had about 1000 in attendance. Toward the beginning of the event, while one doctor was speaking, a protestor marches down the aisle with a big sign promoting health care reform (which we all agree has to happen, the question is how) shouting at the top of his lungs, wouldn't shut up, disrupted the doctor's presentation, smashed one Tea Party person in the face with his elbow when the TP person stood next to him trying to persuade him to stop being disruptive. The TP person kept his cool and did not hit back. The crowd at first was booing and yelling for him to get thrown out, but then settled down when the doctor and TP people asked us to let the police officer who had been summoned to do his job. All very peaceful, if noisy at first. The guy was escorted out, and the presentations and questions went on. The whole event lasted two hours, the disturbance 10 minutes at the most. What did one of the local stations make the focus of their story? Yep, the protester and the supposedly high tensions and emotions of the event. Like I said, the event lasted 2 hours and the protester was there about 10 minutes. There were many, many Tea Partiers there with cameras recording so there is a record of the rest of the event of great presentations, and people asking intelligent questions. It was cool too, because the candidates who are running against the two incumbent Representatives for the southern Arizona were there and were able to answer questions that would have been put to the incumbents if they had accepted the invitation to attend. I went to the Tucson event to be prepared for Gabby's HealthCare Town Hall tonight in Sierra Vista. It starts at 6pm but since it's first come first serve, my friend and I will be showing up very early to ensure getting in.

The brainwashing of Americans to accept some form of centralized statist government has been in process for generations. It has taken years for the term liberal to be bastardized into meaing state socialist economic policy and government intervention and control into almost all aspects of life. The liberal-conservative ideals upon which this country were founded are for the most part not represented by the ideology and actions of the current Democrat party and many in the Republican party. Individual liberty and freedom are incompatible with a strong, central government that seeks to plan and control almost all aspects of people's lives. This is not opinion, it is historical fact.

I have wondered if Igor Parnarin was correct … the signs are all there. There is a surprising number of people that are not Republicans that I have spoken to that believe that there will not be a presidential election in 2012. At the beginning of every school year, I read all the textbooks that my children will be using in school, mainly for the purpose of understanding what values and principles will be used to teach them. I'll save for later the disturbing revisions contained in the 2009 edition of the US History text; what I'd like to contribute to this entry is the parallels between the pre-civil war political environment and the political landscape today.
I'm no political historian, but I do feel that the current polarization in America is approaching that of the 1850's. Liberal tactics today reflect almost a war-like trend of attacking anyone or anything that runs counter to their ideology, reminiscent of Preston Brooks, but much more sophisticated and terrorist/guerrilla-like.
My concern is that, once entrenched, the methods used to gain power will be almost unstoppable, short of a major upheaval similar to that experienced 150 years ago. Our external enemies look forward to that day of weakness; they know that no matter the result in 2012, a la Wesley Cheeks, 'this isn't America anymore".
I've no doubt America can defeat any external threat, as long as we remain united; my concern is an internal malaise and cancer that will sap the country's strength and vitality. Civil war was necessary to resolve sovreignty and slavery issues; I wonder what will be necessary to resolve the moral and ethical differences between conservatives and liberals in the next decade?
It is unfortunate that our country is so close to a true civil war. But it is inevitable because two diametrically opposed cultures cannot exist within the same borders without conflict. It is not so much that the Constitution has been ignored and abused to create the socialist-welfare state, in fact much of what has been done falls within the spirit of the Constitution. The Founding Fathers merely meant the Constitution to be a framework, the general guidelines, through which all activities, public and private, would guided. Because the Founding Fathers and the first few generations of Americans all essentially agreed on the supremacy of the individual and the limited role of government in ordering our affairs, the Constitution was used to uphold those basic values.
Lets all get one thing straight. We need to move past "R" and "D". It's time to determine who is for a totalitarian government controlled by the few and who is for our democratically elected Republic. We need to teach our kids we live in a Republic. Not a Democracy. They are not interchangeable.
I will remind all of you that it was "W" who put us on this path. He is the one that opened the door for this administration. And really what were the major policy differences between John McCain and Obama? The slow boat to socialism or the Concord? Ultimately going to the same destination.

It's not a luxury RV, that's for sure, but for survival and self reliance in isolated rough terrain it's definitely top notch. It's also comfortable enough for recreational use as well. A bit pricey, but then RV's usually are.
As for turning radius and clearance, again, most RV's would have the same problem and are no where near as maneuverable as one of these. I'm partial to the LV-XT with full crew cab (and king size bed area) as I would be toting the family along.
