Look up the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorist Act that was passed by the House by almost unanimous consent in 2007 – that is where she believes she gets her authority. Although it wasn't passed by the Senate, it was funded in the stimulus. So I guess she is forgetting to tell her Fusion Center local and state law enforcement co-horts that she is acting outside both her oath of office (which isn't to the President or Congress, but the Constitution) and also that this law is no law at all, since it hasn't been lawfully ratified – but I guess since it passed the House she feels that America's representatives have authorized her activities.

Yes, but as a former 45 year resident who left that state due to her insane love of gadgets in order to catch the speeders, police officers outside bars entraping the social drinkers, while defending the illegals and letting the drug cartels operate with impunity – I haven't slept a wink since I heard she was in charge of security now for the entire nation. She will probably make a call to her friends the Governor of Sonora if they get to the Capitol Building and hope that she can get him to act as the hostage negotiator.
