Schoolhouse Crock
by Jim TreacherSo you’re bummed about the stimulus bill, AKA the Generational Theft Act of 2009, huh? What sane person isn’t? But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a laugh about it. Ya can’t dwell on the dread and existential horror all day.
If you didn’t grow up in the ’70s watching Schoolhouse Rock on Saturday mornings, this might need a bit of setup:
Catchy, huh? I don’t think they even had the term “brainworm” back then.
And now, with apologies to ABC, legendary vocalist Jack Sheldon, and my childhood:

So many memories, but kinda sad. Awesome interpretation of one of my favorite Saturday morning rituals!
LOL
Way to mess with my childhood memories, thanks man….
Thanks Jim for the flood of childhood memories. Schoolhouse Rocks was a part of my Saturday mornings. I actually found them to be very educational on history and grammar.
What a shame that your cartoon depicts the horrible side of the political process. Personally, I would have worked in the old line "That's called a veto!" where the poor bill has to travel back to the houses for another vote. At least we got buses to stop at the railroad crossings rather than get railroaded with this bust of a bill.
I'm glad you changed your photo, Jim.
I loves me some Treacher. A classic, my friend.
Thanks, guys! I forgot to put in a link to http://exhibitapress.com, Batton's site. Good stuff!
"Anything you say, King. It's okay King. It's kinda scary on your own…" I guess the One stopped listening after that.
You know, 'Hawk, I would have invited you to Iowahawk Day on Facebook if you hadn't been so mean to Nebraska.
Breitbart: good work on getting Treacher on the site.
Damn, and all this time I thought that was a hilarious calculation on your part.
Well, okay, you're invited.
Red is the new black.
safari won't open link (is it just me?)
figured it out… comma at end of your link
I'm just a bill, a 1000 page bill…..
Hey Treach,
Good to see you here at BH.
Thankfully, the green slimy, wet furry footed creatures that crawl out from under the bridge, are somewhat underpopulated on this site at this point.
When they do show up, you hold them up, and I'll knock them down.
Ahhhh…good times…good times.
Great work.
Not Over.
Bravo! Great conservative comedy. Everyone should see this.
I love Bill's snout. Nice touch.
Now if we could only get Republicans from sneaking into the larder for a nip at the Boston Butt. Eating 40% of the pig still makes you a lardass.
You can rent the DVD that has all the Schoolhouse Rocks segments. Maybe it could soothe your ravaged memories.
Mr_Steve had it right. Why is the federal government concidering a traffic law?
When did Jim Treacher turn towards the right? Welcome aboard the Anti-Obama train Treacher.
Hey bud, good to see you here. Between Iowahawk, gutfeld and treacher, were in for some fun here!
When I think of Stimulus, I think of laxative, because the craps going to hit fan sooner or later. It's synergy
Great to see both Jim Treacher and Batton Lash on here. A dynamic duo!
Batton, your cartoons were perfect.
[...] spoof of “How A Bill Becomes A Law” from Jim Treacher at Breitbart’s Big [...]
We can only hope! Conjunction junction, what's your function… hookin' up words and phrases and clauses…
Nebraska is in there! I just didn't bold it. I'm miffed at that stupid state because its lottery is rigged.
This joke was funny when it was on the Simpsons.
Oooh, Mother May I? LOL, Good to see you here, Treacher!
I have only one question, how big of a dork does it make me if I know all the words to the Schoolhouse Rock songs, and have all the clips on DVD? Seriously, I love these. I bought them on VHS for my own kids, and when the Grandkids get a little older, I guess I will part with my DVD's. *sigh*
LMAO at the middle fingers! Good work, and good drawing skills! Very creative.
The ending should be "Oh, YEAH!" not "Oh, yes!"
The pork bill guy should be a new icon. It should be on tee-shirts and on posters Robbie Conal style.
That's what I thought at first too, but after listening to it like 20 times, it's "Oh, yes!" I suppose the phonetic would be "Oh, yaaaaaaasss!"
I love a good South Park reference!
