The Sarah Palin Thing
by Joseph C. PhillipsIf indeed former Alaska Governor and Vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is the joke the new left claims her to be, one wonders why they don’t simply ignore her. On the contrary, they devote an unusual amount of energy into making her the butt of their jokes and seeking every opportunity to discredit her and cover her with political dirt. The Associated Press for example assigned 11 reporters to fact-check her new book “Going Rogue.” The AP assigned exactly 2 reporters to read through the more than 4 thousand pages of the Obama healthcare bills. So much attention seems to belie the New Lefts claims that Palin is a light-weight– not worthy of our respect or attention.

Such a focus of energies seems a tacit acknowledgement that Palin and the principles she represents are a force to be reckoned with.
The primary knock against Palin is that she is dumb, or what is more politely called an anti-intellectual. Of course, the new liberal narrative views all conservatives as not only evil, but downright stupid – not ill informed or teachable, but simply intellectually inferior. From Carter to Obama the new left has consistently claimed a superior intellect.
I can’t help but smile when I recall a conversation I had with a professional friend during the early part of last year’s presidential campaign. She was excited about her opportunity to meet then candidate Barack Obama. “What do you like about the candidate?” I queried. “He is brilliant,” she responded. “He understands the issues so clearly.” Fair enough. But would she, I wondered, be as excited if the candidate were a Republican? “Suppose you were preparing to meet candidate Condoleezza Rice?” I asked. There was a pause and then she responded, “Well, she is very bright.”
‘Nuff said.
Brilliant liberals and “bright” conservatives is the window through which leftists view the world because their vision of America is one that relies on appeals to authority and claims of moral and intellectual superiority. The administrative state posits that the cure for a world teeming with poverty and injustice is within our grasp. There exists a community of anointed intellectuals, trained in our finest universities that can solve all of society’s ills and bring our lives into moral order if only they had the power; if only the rest of us would conduct our lives as they wish.
Witness Democratic Party leader Howard Dean recently standing before a group of French journalists extolling the virtues of this president. According to Dean the battle between socialism and capitalism has been settled. (I will give you 3 guesses which side he believes won.) It is Dean’s belief that our current President and the party he represents understands that American benevolence demands socialist policy. The question therefore is no longer whether or not we will have socialism, but how much socialism we will have. Dean is proud of the Democrat party for its political clarity.
The problem for Dean and the rest of the new left is that Americans tend to have an independent streak that leads them to largely reject the idea of a centralized intelligentsia deciding how best they should live their lives. Palin represents the American individualist that says, “I know what is best for my family and what is in agreement with my faith. I would rather do things my way.” The administrative state is incompatible with such independence and can only thrive by stamping it out.
Palin and those that root for her may not have graduated from Harvard, but they are smart enough to know that Howard Dean is wrong and Ronald Reagan was correct when he said the question was one of moving “Up to man’s age-old dream-the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism.” We are indeed bright enough to know that just as there was no moral good in slavery, there is nothing benevolent about socialism. The barbed wire around socialist utopias is there to keep people in – to force them (in the name of liberty) to do what the intellectuals say to do.
It is not Palin’s grit, her good looks or her “you betcha” small town persona that drives the new left to distraction. Rather it is her elementary ability to recognize the danger in putting too much trust in the smart guys– especially when their solutions require that we place our liberties at their disposal. “Palinism” is not a rejection of intellect; it is however, to say in no uncertain terms that some of us regular folk might just know a bit more about how to run our lives and this country than a room filled with Ivy educated czars.

I like Sarah Palin, but I'm certainly not her biggest fan.
However, when these lefties start piling on, I just love her more than I did the day before.
Sarah in 2012, if for no other reason than to give the lefties a collective heart attack.
They ridicule her because deep down they are afraid of her. Afraid of how much people like her and are drawn to her. Not because she has charisma or "intelligence", but because she is real. She's just like all of us in flyover country. She's the proof that anyone who works hard enough can be a governor or a president. And the fact that she loves her family and is not afraid to show that love; love of her children, even a child that is developmentally challenged. Because a lib would've aborted that baby because it wasn't perfect and would've been too much of a burden on them. That just digs at their conscience and they don't like that. Too bad. It's coming whether they like it or not.
Can we get some content about some of the other prospective candidates for 2012 please?
I must be a complete dork because I love Sarah Palin. I must be fish stupid because I think she is smart. I must be dumber than a sack of pudding because I think she scares the extremely smart left (the genius that is Joy Behar comes to mind).
Oh well, got a stupid, dumb 'ol book to finish. Honey, is the still on? Don't want them govmnt revenuers pokin' round here and finding our stash of 12-year-old whiskey.

Honey, make sure the still is hidden from those fool revenuers and just in case, you seen the double-ought for the side by side?
If ever, a candidate has started running this early for President, I don't remember it or perhaps the MSM never reported it before. Either way they are not so much scared, as they are Horrified she might become president.
I like Sarah Palin because she cuts through the typical political BS and tells it like it is. She walks the walk of her beliefs, and that is extraordinary in politics. Frankly, I like her because the idiots of the world go completely foamy mouthed, red faced, and clenched booty cheeks over her and that makes me giggle.
I like that God is so much in her corner he made the leftist's tomato hit a cop rather than hit Sarah, ensuring punishment for the poltroon. (J/K, I know it was the girlie-man's throwing arm that did it, but, seriously … that's quite a coincidence, eh?)
And I also like her supporters. Mark Steyn, Rush Limbaugh, Lucianne Goldberg. Brave, smart people without an elitist bone in their bodies. You betcha.
This article hits the nail squarely on the head. With great clarity Mr. Philips outlines the difference between liberals and the rest of us, "the great unwashed". It's the contempt liberals have for everyone else that defines who they are. It won't be long before libs see this article and respond, exactly like they always do; with personal attacks. Great piece!
she is the living, breathing example of Nietzsche's admonition…
"Those who would try to kill me only make me stronger'. Sarah Palin of Wasilla, Alaska shouldn't strike fear into the hearts of the secular intelligentsia. But she most definitely does. And, it is a thing of beauty…
Her merits have been much discussed here. So have the attacks, most notably Germaine Greer referring to her as 'an existential threat to feminism' only 24 hours after her 'coming out' for VP. And Ms Greer has a salient point. For Palin 'walks the walk'- and looks good doing it.
Unlike any of her counterparts on the Left. Which of course drives them nuts. A splendid thing, indeed…

Why does the Left hate Sarah Palin? Because she has become the shadow president. Just as President Obama uses the “bully pulpit” of the presidency to rouse people to support or oppose causes, shadow president Palin is able to use the “bully pulpit” of Facebook to rally people. Watch what she is doing–she is showing what an alternative to President Obama looks like, and in doing this, she often makes him look bad. If you think of her as just a private citizen, the hostility of the Left makes no sense. If you think of her as the shadow president, the hostility of the Left is not at all surprising.
The "brilliant" Obama campaigned for Blago
On the Chicago TV show "Public Affairs with Jeff Berkowitz" on June 27, 2002, state Sen. Obama said, "Right now, my main focus is to make sure we elect Rod Blagojevich as Governor, we…"
"You working hard for Rod?" interrupted Berkowitz.
You betcha," said Obama.
"Hot Rod?" asked the host.
"That's exactly right," said Obama.
Obama endorsed Blago in 2006 too, even though numerous state agencies had had records subpoenaed, with US Attorney Fitzgerald telling authorities he was looking into "very serious allegations of endemic hiring fraud" with "a number of credible witnesses."
Was Obama an idiot? You betcha</B..
Barack Obama started "running" for President at the '04 Democrat Convention.
Thanks for the Article!
Hillary started running on election day 1992.
Now that would be awesome…. though a strain on our health care system….
Brilliant liberals and “bright” conservatives is the window through which leftists view the world because their vision of America is one that relies on appeals to authority and claims of moral and intellectual superiority.
A visual definition of cognitive dissonance: An unemployed filthy liberal driving in his jalopy with black smoke pouring out his tailpipe yelling at the good looking, well groomed Conservative in a nice car, "stupid loser!"
"You have to be an intellectual to believe such nonsense. No ordinary man could be such a fool."
-George Orwell
And what's more: liberalism isn't the intellectual movement, it's the emotional one.
Some say she just has the ru…Oh, never mind.
"Best and The Brightest". David Halberstam. It's been done. The "intellectuals" that know more than we do is nothing new. Obama's camp is full of the same crap JFK had. Good piece, Mr. Phillips.
Government in the US should never be by elitists or intellectuals, only. Our governments were meant to be citizen based.
Lefty intellectualism?
"Global Warming" without the sun intellectualism?
"Spend into prosperity" intellectualism? (Incidentally, the same idiotic thing that these very same intellectuals say the body politic did; which helped cause the global financial meltdown?
"American benevolence demands socialist policy" intellectualism?
Sounds like perfect logic why Sarah Palin should be President. Leftist statist intellectualism, which the Obama demonstrates as long as the teleprompter holds out…and leaves everyone else NOT a statist intellectual broke, unemployed, and ignored…
ignore the words, watch the actions. it makes no sense to attack one that is not worthy of the energy. the left are scared to death of this woman, for the energy the brings to conservatives.
We have to stop buying into the automatic responses some of us have in a desire to be looked at at main stream. The left creates and then defines terms and we react we need to deny out of hand . Stop me if you have heard real and i mean real conservatives make these statements. Here is one…Global warming is certainly an issues that needs to be addressed but … Here is another.. There is no doubt there is climate change and something should be done I am just not sure to what degree it is man made… How about this……Well of course Islam is a religion of peace….and…Well yes Obama is a brilliant man….and … of course he was born here….and last but not least … Well health care is broken and we have to fix it… These are all examples of today’s common knowledge as my dad use to say (and he was probably quoting someone else) "common knowledge is always common but rarely knowledge".
CONtINUED
We have to stop fueling the fires, demand the proof if they cannot prove their assertion then it is poppycock and it should not be dignified with anything but a demeaning sneer of disgust at their stupidity. These are not wayward children that misinterpreted their world; these are ideologues that have attained great power through deceit and subterfuge. There is no longer time for reasonableness and niceties liars are liars cheats are cheats and demigods are demigods CALL EM AS YOU SEE EM.
With every snide comment and every attack on her and/or her family, they show their hand. Palin frightens the Left because she embodies what they can never countenance: namely, a conservative woman of faith who believes in the sanctity of life and who can count several accomplishments that she earned without benefit of a former POTUS husband or other well-placed liberal "male".
Anti-Communist, lower taxes JFK would roll over in his grave at the kind of policies our current President is peddling.
One of the things I like most about Sarah is her hard work, determination, and persistance in finishing and graduating from college. Whether or not she ever plans to run for the presidency, I think she'll be around and annoying the lib/lefty/dems for a while.
I'd much prefer President Sarah Palin, the first female president of the United States, over B Hussein Obama, the first Kenyan born muslim president.
looks more like a trot…
no doubt about that. Presidency or not- this female juggernaut is a movement conservative- and no Republican will be elected to national office without her approval…
What really makes me fume about the treatment Palin has received is that the zeitgeist that has been created regarding her. People who should be able to support her objectively will say things like..I like her, but…. There's always a qualifier. As if the person speaking has bought into the liberal spin that Sarah is somehow not ready. Not smart enough. Not…whatever.
I call b.s. on that. The perception that Sarah isn't ready for prime time is an invention of the left. It has been pummeled into the collective consciousness via Saturday Night Live and the Huffington Post. Like Gary Graham said, words matter and just as they have spun an image of intelligence for Obama out of thin air, they've done the same thing to Sarah in exactly the same fashion.
I, for one, have no caveats. I love Sarah and support her wholeheartedly.
"There is no doubt there is climate change and something should be done I am just not sure to what degree it is man made"
Yeah, it's called Mother Nature.
And you shouldn't mess with Mother Nature!
Great article, Mr. Phillips. You just earned a regular reader.
What other prospective candidates?
Nice article and a very quotable last sentence. Love it and thanks.
I couldn't agree more.
This is exactly why I like her. I remember a conversation with my sister about 10 years ago discussing presidential qualities and she said they absolutely should have an ivy league education. WHAT! It was this conversation that began my complete understanding into how our government really works. Money, millionaires making decisions for the unwashed masses. I have been disgusted with it ever since. It just gets smellier and smellier. Someone like Sarah, someone of "the people" is our only hope to even begin to clean the floors of the White House that have been soiled for decades with communistic/socialist tendencies. Sarah understands the constitution and with a firm foundation in our founders intentions she can make the right decisions for our country. Let's take our house back.
Huffington Post suffers completely from Palin Derangement Syndrome. The bloggers write posts about her for any little thing. Same with those men on MSNBC.
You and me both sister. It is time for us to put an end to pop culture. This isn't about the next winner on American Idol, this is about our constitution, the blood of our forefathers, and stopping the now growing popular notion of socialism. Sarah is grounded and will surround herself with the best and the brightest. She will not wait for our servicemen to die to make a decision on troop support. The WILL act "swiftly and boldly" to let our military men and women know that we have their back.
Sarah 2012 "the people's president"
I think what makes me appreciate Sarah Palin is that A) She talks common sense, (which too many liberals and Ivy League grads lack to get through their lives), and B) she speaks in a manner that I , (even though , yes I have a college degree), actually understand. When I listen to her, I don't have to translate or pack a dictionary/thesaurus to figure out what she's said or what she means. I get so tired of these politicians sugar-coating or verbalizing in such a way as to be completely unintelligible. Maybe it's because so many of them are lawyers and everything seems to be contract speak.
Sarah Palin is much like Andrew Jackson – and Abraham Lincoln. Both men were frontier-raised, way out of the Washington circuit, straight talkers, self-reliant and doers, and archly dismissed by the Elites. Palin has literally come out of America's last frontier. Watch the shows – "The Deadliest Catch, " or "Tougher in Alaska." WHAT comparable living/working is found in the lower 48? Not much. Maybe ranchers? A self-reliant no whiney life that produces such expressions as "cowboy up." Alaska is NOT for wimps — and ALL these attacks have been designed to try to make Palin "cry." They do not know what they have in that woman. Alaska does not produce crybabies. AND they do not know how she thinks. They are projecting on to her what THEY think she must think. They should seriously ccontemplate the shrink-wrapped salmon filets in the supermarket – that's what Palin has learned to do to mindless, schooling vertebrates.
Ditto
Sarah Palin is real. Obama is a cardboard tilt up.
Always a good read Mr. Phillips! Sarah is a great person, and will be a success in whatever she decides to do. It would be great fun to see her box Obozo’s ears. The “intelligentsia” heads will explode trying to tell us how dumb she is, that could be a Pay-Per-view event, LOL! If she runs, I could support her …we’ll see. Give’em hell Sarah!
No.
Nobody is scared of her, her 'looks', her 'tour', her 'half-term governorship', her 'failed vice-presidential candidacy', her 'inability to form a complete coherent sentence', or the folks who follow her like a pack of dogs. Bring her on in whatever form you like. That's what everyone on the other side wants. A GOP candidate who's proud of her 'choice' but doesn't think YOU should have one.
Here's a link with some strong insight to how great Sarah is.
http://www.salon.com/comics/tomo/2009/07/07/tomo/...
The "but" qualifier exists in a lot of progressive boilerplate. All intent to make it look like they really, really care about some cause, BUT… they don't want to do anything about it.
Just because one goes to Harvard, or Yale, or Cambridge and graduates and is an intellectual one might be intelligent but not necessarily wise. Intelligence is information learned. Wisdom is the ability to apply the information to everyday life. They may be intelligent (doubtful) on the Hill, but they are not wise (undoubtedly). I challenge any one of these meatballs to actually get a real job and make it through life for 10 years without the political perks. I dare them to get by on grit alone. I'd be willing to bet they couldn't do it without resorting to those favors the vast majority of society doesn't have. Sarah Palin didn't graduate from an Ivy League college, but she has a lot of practical wisdom. The Left doesn't know what to do with practicality.
White Democrats once argued that it was wrong to deny one's "choice" to own, exploit, torture, rape and murder Black people. After all, everyone knew that only people with pale skin were human.
Interestingly, the same pro-slavery party is also a supporter of abortion, a.k.a. infanticide. To numb their guilt, supporters dehumanize murdered babies using technobabble and then call their evil act a "choice."
Hmm, lets see. Yes, in 2012 the Dems will run an America(n) hating, Third-World despot loving, economic illiterate, narcissistic man-child who has delusions of god-hood. This candidate will campaign on the platform that, "its not my fault, I inherited this mess" and that if we just allow him to put us 20 trillion more dollars in debt then he will fix our economy. This candidate will be surrounded by brown shirt wearing ACORN and SEIU thugs as well as legions of ass-kissing celebutards and leg-humping media hoes. How is that for some content?

Here's a better reason to vote Palin in 2012:
The Left hates Palin so much that might really move to Canada.
Agreed, the more the left hates her the more I like her.
This article makes a lot of sense. I follow her on Facebook, just like everyone else. I can remember a time when she was just the Wasilla mayor, and made time to speak at a local leadership seminar, HOBY, I had the privilege to attend. The way I know she is genuine is that her message HASN'T CHANGED. She still made her views on national issues visible without any reasonable expectation of being able to change things, and then proved everyone wrong by getting the opportunity to make her voice count. She's sharp as a whip, though like most ordinary Americans who don't make a profession of politics, she doesn't necessarily express it perfectly in a speech in front of millions. She's not in it for power or as a profession, as you see when you realize she gave up the gubernatorial seat here. Todd makes more than enough for the family. She's in politics because she cares. She's a nice person who made it big because her ideas resonate with many Americans.
I knew Palin was okay from the moment she all but told Couric that the New York Times was only good for wrappin' up salmon guts.
You Yanks should thank the left for being so clear in identifying its enemies. Makes voting easier.
As to the matter of Palin's intelligence, she's one of the elite thinkers who has worked out that Tina Fey's Prius runs on gasoline, and that you have to drill for that stuff. Tina obviously thinks her Prius runs on fairy juice.
Excellent article by the way Mr Phillips, it is clear you have not fallen into the apologist abyss
not to worry Obamacare will
1 – filter out those is direst need
2 – provie the very best care found in uraguay
3- provide it if you voted for dems
No doubt about it, her opinions carry a lot of weight, despite the Pravda media throwing rocks at her.
I will vote for Sarah Palin. Stop the theft of these senile century old corrupt democrats running this country. Time to drain the swamp of corruption. Sarah will do the job.
Hey, Nohype!! Sarah Palin doesn't make Barack Obama look bad; he does a brilliant job of doing that himself!!
If a Communist named Barrack Hussein Obama can become President – Why can't a red blooded, flag waving, gun totting, son who serves his country, husband who has a real tough guy job – be President of these United States? I think she can; I know she can. The only one stopping Mrs. Palin is Mrs. Palin. It wasn't easy for Reagan, it will not be easy for her – and we can't wait until 2016 folks – we don't have that much time left. You can say a lot about the Pinko Commie in chief but the SOB is as slippery as bar of soap after the prison shower.
hew 'tweets' derailed the health bill first time through with the 'death panel' stuff which she was ridiculed for-
and turned out to be prescient…
Don't you ever get tired of trolling?
I just love watching the liberals and the msm cutting their own throat!!! They think that by bad mouthing Sarah Palin they will change the minds of God loving, freedom loving, Americans away from her??!! LOL!! The joke is on them!!! The more they talk, the better she looks!!!
Right with you there as well!
Stocking up on tomatoes are you?
Admit it, she's living in your head rent-free. There is no other explanation for your psychotic venom.
Better get some life insurance now, because I can see you and a million others like you hanging from your dining room chandeliers come November 2012.
Just to clarify Fred2, I was directing my statement at Gillian, not you.
Sarah is smart, wise, kind, beautiful, sexy, tough, feminine, resiliant, charismatic and all around awesome. I envy Todd Palin. Todd is a badass Alaska Fisherman. 5 minutes in those waters and I would be puking over the side of the boat. I hope she gets a radio and TV show.
LOL — Good suggestions, all.
The lefties don't realize they're screwing themselves iinto the ground.
I hope plenty of lefty loons are reading these remarks. This is great.
The Palin family can take care of themselves in the same manner that frontier families could in the nineteenth century. How many of these Harvard legacy trust fund brats that have completely destroyed our nation can say the same? God forbid there was ever some kind of national cataclysm that drove us back to the Stone Age, Sarah and her family could go on pretty much as usual while the Kennedys and Pelosis would be crying like toddlers and banging on Sarah's door begging for caribou entrails.
Thx for replying, big Dan.
The lefties are totally screwed, unless they just seize the government and do away with free elections.
No it wouldnt – Obama gave us the perfect solution: just give them an aspirin.
Mr. Phillips – this is so true! "Of course, the new liberal narrative views all conservatives as not only evil, but downright stupid – not ill informed or teachable, but simply intellectually inferior. From Carter to Obama the new left has consistently claimed a superior intellect."
Univerisites tell graduates at commencement that they are the "leaders, " the "movers and shakers." It DOES swell heads! New MBAs expect big salaries & are insulted at entry-level work. FEW strike out and actually START a business – 4 to 5 years behind the guy who didn't go to college & just started his business then. No institution strokes the egos of entrepreneur plumbers and carpenters. They are hustle – constantly drumming up new business, here and there for new jobsites – they are looked down on by people who couldn't do a cold call if their life depended on it; but that sheepskin tells them they are superior.
I love Palin because she scares the ever-living sh*t out of the libtards…..and that's a good thing!
May Obama rot in hell for an eternity with his mother.
Great article! The more the media tries to make her look bad, the more regular folks like her. A lot like Ronald Reagan, actually.
The irony is that Obama is not so "brilliant". He is a gifted, charismatic orator, which liberals mistake for brilliance. Mistaking charisma for intelligence is a sure sign of a mere superficial understanding of issues and a lack of critical thought.
This narrative is nothing new, it dates back as far as 1952 when Ike, who masterminded the Allied victory in Europe in the logistical and political details, was considered by these kinds of folks as an amiable dunderhead compared to Adlai Stevenson. Only 1960 to 1972 break this mold. The 1996 variant was that Dole was probably in the early stage of dementia.
Fantastic piece Mr. Phillips. You have GOT to get yourself on prime time TV. You should be all over the networks!
The fact that it is on Salon.com is enough to suggest what its about. But your post does make the point of the left's tactics – they cant attack the message so they attack the messenger. The mentality of one who reads such tripe is the same mentality of those who want some "Obama Money" from "Obama's Stash."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19v5Kjmc8FI
I'm a pro-abortion atheist who thinks all religious people are stupid. And I admire Sarah Palin more than any other politician who has come along in my lifetime.
Sarah Palin has more character and honor than any other politician today. She would make a remarkable president and we need her. Now. I hope she runs in 2012. If she stays true to herself she'll win.
Not the first time the Obama White House has had gatecrashers.
See:

Todays Hilybillies and Moonshine runners are packing AR-15's with aimpoint scopes and red dot sights, so if the revenuers decide to try and round up us unwashed masses we have some surprises for them.
Sarah Palin knows what is needed to be done with most issues facing the country today and it doesn't take a harvard degree to realize that spending more than you have is bad. Nor would she take 8 months to make a decision on when to send troops.
Gillian..you do have a choice…lots of them..condoms, abstinance, a brain to say no I am not going to do this right now but you should not have the choice to murder your baby because it is inconvenient.
Mr. Phillips, great piece. I think the intelligensia will never catch on that your piece is not really about Gov. Palin, but about them. Having studied a little about American history, I am convinced that Gov. Palin is this time's Andrew Jackson. True, she is not a war hero, but she demonstrates the same backwoods fusion of common sense, people sense, and perspective of government-by-the-people as Jackson did. Keep up the good work and thanks for your contributions.
Ever notice the environutters all drive 1975 Chevy Blazers with smoke pouring out the back?
Good visual..
Not sure I would want to do that to our Canadian bretheren (and sisteren). Perhaps we can funnel then to Venazuela? (Cuba is too close and they might make it back).
Well, the "collective conciousness" itself is a fabrication of the socialists and a product of media, news, T.V., internet and whatever else despite the fact that it doesn't actually exist (we are all of us individuals first and foremost). I agree with Franco that Reagan understood and demonstrated the differences intimately and that was why he was hated so.. Palin I think is not hated for the same reasons, although she does command the same level of hatred as Reagan did. I have nothing against Sarah, but as big a mistake as it is for the left to demonize her I think it is also problemetic for the right to pedestalize her.
Great post. I think the best way to shut up a liberal when they go to the Governor Palin bashing is to tell them that putting down Sarah Palin has never raised anyone's IQ.
Here is my entire commentary:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2415322/...
Fairy juice, lol…
The left has to destroy Palin in order to main control of their biggest electoral base – women – by destroying the possibility that any leading female candidate can believe in classical American values of free enterprise, small frugal limited government, low taxes and individualism. They must destroy her to keep women in line just as they destroyed Clarence Thomas to keep blacks in line. Completely sinister and manipulative but it is what it is. The amazing thing is that she just keeps battling back and is steadily winning. Remarkable.
Rather blanketed post I think.. I am not religious either, but I have nothing against religion or religious people and some of the ones I know are extraordinarily intelligent.. I think history will show pro-abortionist's to be what they are, little more than frightened individuals. The same kind that threw themselves and their kids off the cliffs at Okinawa.
Not sure I want to know how one would juice a fairy.
"Mistaking charisma for intelligence"
Indeed. That had happened once before in pre-WW2 Germany.
I have enough faith in her to give her a shot, depending on who else has the gumshin to run against her.
Any one who pisses off the left as much as Sarah Palin has to be doing something right.
They only attack like this when they are scared to death.
That would require personal effort and risk.
Not a chance.
