It’s All Relative: The Obama/HuffPo Connection Tightens
by Jason Killian MeathWhatever happened to good old-fashioned American know-how, pulling yourself up from the bootstraps, proving to the world you have the mettle to succeed on your own raw talent? If you’re Paris Hilton or, say, the Huffington Post — none of those good ol’ values amount to a hill of beans! The Huffington Post, the website famous for slapping left-wing bias on mainstream news, recently hired Ethan Axelrod — you may have heard of his dad, David Axelrod: the celebrated image-maker of the Obama campaign. Given the Huffington Post is all snuggles with the Obama Administration, the news might come as no surprise.

Lefty-types are always making room for their own, so long as you have a famous last name or a privileged pedigree. For a bunch that loves to push for “universalizing” and “leveling the playing field,” they sure are elitist! This is the world where Anderson Cooper, scion of Gloria Vanderbilt, is handed the keys to CNN. Al Gore’s daughter Kristin nabs a dream job writing for Matt Groening’s “Futurama” straight out of college. Oh sure, it helped that Poppa Gore agreed to guest star twice (but only if his young daughter could direct). Gore went on to appear as a disembodied head (yes, the show ‘jumped the shark’). Is Huffington Post banking on access to daddy Axelrod’s head, too? ‘Wink, wink,’ welcome aboard Ethan…
While most twenty-somethings are scratching heads struggling to pay student loans, or dulling the pain of graduating smack in the middle of one of the worst economies in a generation, Axelrod’s lad and many more celebuspawn have found a gravy train over at the Huffington Post… “Ethan, let us introduce you to Nicholas Graham (of the Washington Post Grahams), Elyssa Spitzer (you remember her famous dad Eliot) — oh, and here’s Tom Hanks’ daughter Liz!” Sure is cozy.
Let’s be clear: being born to the rich, famous or powerful is great — more power to you! In fact, without nepotism we may never have had Liza Minelli, George Clooney, Drew Barrymore or Hank Williams Jr. But you wonder: does the Axelrod hire make the Huffington Post an adjunct arm of the Obama 2012 re-election campaign? After all, it is worth noting he is to be the Editor of the Huffington Post’s Colorado edition. Heady stuff for a fresh-faced college kid — what qualifies him to be editor anyway? Yearbook experience? A cool Facebook page? Oh yeah, I keep forgetting — his dad runs Obama’s campaigns.
You remember Colorado – the Red State Obama is turning Blue — dumping millions of dollars there for a win in 2008 (well done Poppa Axelrod!). No doubt, Ethan’s role as Editor will establish a liberal media bulkhead right in the heart of Denver. Ethan told the Washington Post, “I’ve been interested in journalism for a while.” Really — who knew there were journalists at Huffington Post?! I know, I know, the kid is green… not to pick on his poor choice of words, but he IS going to be editing for one of the largest outlets for commentary in the nation. So, let’s at least get the job description straight, shall we? I think it reads something like this: Wanted — Editor for Obama’s stealthy online and messaging arm in a 2012 battleground state — relatives who run Obama’s re-election campaign a plus.
As for the untold countless others out there cashing in on moms, dads, aunts and uncles — c’est la vie. Who can blame them in today’s tough times? Like Ethan Axelrod so honestly said of snagging the Huffington Post gig, “I heard through my father that they were expanding, so I applied for it.” Calls to David Axelrod and Arianna Huffington from media organizations curious about motives and favoritism in hiring were not returned.
But an echo could be heard from a distant ivory tower: “Let them eat cake!”

And just what is your point ?
Where is the problem ?

Hussein Obama is in for life and we are stuck with it
"Calls to David Axelrod and Arianna Huffington from media organizations curious about motives and favoritism in hiring were not returned."
d'oh! they are huddled to get their best "blame bush" shtick together before answering a straight-forward question.
Appreciate the disclosure. Is this what Dear Leader's meant about transparency?
I was speaking with someone about the children of successful capitalists tending to be liberal. They live the leisurely trust fund life. I was told it is their obligation to be such, to atone for the crimes of their ancestors.
You should retort next time that stealing other peoples' wealth in the form of taxes in order to give that wealth to freeloading activist groups is truly thievery, because no one asks for their taxes to be raised and the taxes are not given freely, but are rather TAKEN.
To couch it in terms they might better understand and appreciate, Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin (the proletariat) were mocked and belittled by the Obama/ACORN camp and the MSM (the bourgeousie pigs), and it is time for the working class to make revolution on the elitists' sorry butts.
Arianna Huffington was content to change her allegiance to the far left wing of the Democrat party when she met and married oil millionaire (and conservative) Mike Huffington. She helped him get elected to the HofR … it was only after their divorce (and her presumed $$$$ settlement) that she returned to the Left Wing and started HuffPo.
Anyone willing to compromise their beliefs to such a degree is merely a player and can't be trusted, period. Whomever she hires, in my book, is tainted.
She makes my skin crawl.

You are an American. You elected people to represent you in government. Now, they have stopped representing you and are telling you how to live your life. Is it time yet to throw off the change?
"…Lefty-types are always making room for their own, so long as you have a famous last name or a privileged pedigree…."
That's baloney. Right wingers love to make themselves look above the fray, but the only ones who fall for it are other right wingers.
BTW, don't forget the Fox News role in election night 2000.
http://www.mediastudy.com/articles/jellis.html
"…Weeks later, Ellis’ former colleague, Bill Kovach, while defending Ellis’ integrity as a journalist, reported that Ellis had been in telephone contact with both Jeb and George W. Bush on election night prior to his making the election call. Even Kovach admitted this was improper.
It’s a clear a conflict of interest for a presidential candidate’s close and loyal first cousin, the nephew of a former U.S. President, to end up in a position to call the election for the U.S. national media?…"
some thoughts about retorting
1. a brilliant commentator said you can't logically talk someone out of something they didn't logically arrive at
2. any opposing comment will be taken as an assault
3. resulting in me esentially arguing with a child, so why bother
conclusion, if future communication on any subject is needed, you let it pass
Looks like Huffington is doing her impression of Uncle Rico taking a glamour pic.

That´s because you are an honest man trying to be understood. That can only end in frustrations. We know being a capitalist is no crime; if it was, being liberal is no way to atone, and if there were any "victims" it might even hurt them. But try to get all that across! If I feel combative I will just ask questions but under no illusion that they will learn anything. The point is to make the other side feel inadequate and less secure in their beliefs. I find it very satisfying.
He won't help Arianna's enterprise, no matter how much talent he may have (or help he may be given by Daddy and his staff.) You can't shine doo-doo.
This is how it works in the world of business the grandfather starts the company the father builds it up and the children tear it down. If you don't believe this check it out. Follow any big Corporations development. The children of the people that start and maintain a business are spoiled and care about nothing but whats in it for them makes me puke. I own my own business and do not spoil my children they have been educated in the right and wrongs and that nothing is for nothing. It is up to them to teach their children that they have to work hard to get the things that they want and that they will not get them freely.
I remember that night. Do you remember why the Supreme Court stopped the recount?
Can you please, please, please operate in the here and now! You are pointing out something that happened almost a decade ago to justify behavoir today. I'm not saying that the "allegations" in the article you point to don't merit some (very little) consideration, but it really serves no purpose.
Comparing the nepotism and cronyism in this administration with anything done during President Bush's years is laughable. I bet "you" can't keep even keep a straight face when you compare them. This is Chicago politics on an epic scale………
The one thing I will say about the article, is, that it reminded me just how lucky as a country we are that the "Gorical" did not become President. We dodged a bullit with that moron……..
State run media, Limbaugh calls it. Resentment for this media is building in the populace.
Roaches always make your skin crawl.
What a bunch of BS.
The national popular vote does not determine the election.
A call at 2:16 in the morning did not effect the voting. The Polls were closed.
Despite four recounts in Florida, at no point to Al Gore ever lead in the vote.
The Miami Herald's "estimate" is just an estiamte. The New York Times says differently.
http://www.nytimes.com/pages/politics/recount/
Considering that Richard Daley, (another example of liberal Nepotism) was Al Gore's campaign manager, and the Daley name is the Gold Standard in election thiefing, and the propensity for the amoral Democratic Party to stuff ballots where-ever they can, while using tax-payer funds to assist Vote cheating organizations like Acorn, no one will weep for the fact that the destruction of freedom and democracy was staved-off for eight years.
The difference between this and regular old nepotism that immediately come to mind is that a normal parent or relative would not be able to get you a job outside their company, there is generally no favor given to the hirer, the kids are usually hied directly by the relative and once the kid is in, it is up to them to make it happen (unless you work for parent – then it depends on the parent). It is the opposite for these kids. Gore's kid should WANT the opportunity to direct on her own merit.
If I had a kid and was in a position to help with getting a foot in the door, not a chance I wouldn't. BUT they would know that there is no exemption from exemplary work in moving up. Kids in general seem to believe that higher position is owed them – immediately. That topic is for another day.
"In fact, without nepotism we may never have had Liza Minelli, George Clooney, Drew Barrymore or Hank Williams Jr."
So… nepotism is…… bad?
yes, yes that's the term, and it surely is.
Joelim, why they (five of them) said they stopped the recount or why I think the real reason was why they stopped it?
I only brought it up because the author of the article made some very goofy remarks.
Arianna has been a joke for a long time. When she was running for Governor here in California against Arnold, she pretty much stalked Arnold throughout the campaign because she knew that's where the press was. It became the campaign joke– there's Arnie getting ready for a speech– now where is Arianna lurking? The press even started joking about it.
Those stupid kids. They think Arianna is 'helping' them by giving them a job? Oh, puhleeze. Those little tots had better put some steel in their shorts or else have a fast getaway car because they have just placed themselves in the grasp of one of the most cold-blooded egotists this planet has ever produced. Arianna uses humans like toilet paper and disposes of them in the same way – once you wipe the sh*t off her rear, she tosses you into the toilet and reaches for another square. While you're swirling bowl, you can commune with all of the other 'squares' she's tossed in there ahead of you. Starting with the authors she stole from with her biography of Callas, on up to that gay husband she invited into her bed with the same warmth and charity that a brothel madam would welcome a John. Face the facts, kiddies. You have signed on with a very scary woman.
Can you pleasepleaseplease not panic because I mention something that supports my accusation that the writer of the article is a hyprocrate.
If you are insinuating that America is lucky because Bush won and Gore lost, then you are living in a dream world. Bush and Cheney ran this nation into the ground.
Anyone want to place bets on how long it takes for Levi Johnston to get a column?
Didn't one of the networks (ABC?) call the election in favor of Gore in Florida before the polls had closed in the Western part of the state? Accusations arose of ABC (?) trying to suppress that vote by demoralizing those Floridians?
The all Democrat Florida Supreme Court unanimously quashed Bush's attempt to call the election. I don't remember them acting non-partisonly. Gore, in fact, was the one who took the battle to the courts. It wasn't as if Bush chose that battle tactic.
The United States Supreme court split on that question in favor of Bush down party lines. I was home at the time to watch that trial on TV. The Dems didn't demonstrate to the court on instance of Republicans screwing Florida out of votes.
Every newspaper who went in afterwards including the New York Times and USA Today found that Bush won in Florida.
This is also a world where a former president helps his son stock his presidential cabinet with dad's old cronies. Colin Powell's son miraculously became head of the FCC. Hell, Breitbart gets his father-in-law, Orson Bean to post here frequently. Nepotism's everywhere and crosses every political stripe. This is news? Yeah, the Huffington Post is openly biased…that's why it exists. Open bias is why this site exists, no? And considering the rep Huffington has for never paying anyone, I doubt young Axelrod will be rolling in gravy anytime soon. They hand out titles over there instead of paychecks.
The same time one of Obama's daughters gets a column… you know it'll happen.
[...] Alexrod, son of David Axelrod who just so happens to be the longtime advisor, strategist and right-hand (or maybe left handed) man to Obama has been hired by liberal biased Huffington Post. Ethan Axelrod started last week as [...]
Pathetic…. but the question remains, will we let these liberal elitist ruin health for us all?
Here is the REAL problem: the SYSTEM is rotten, to the core…but it keeps doling out what people "want" and gives them hope that things may get better…and until the hope runs out, things will go the way they have been going…someday, the hope will run out…and THEN, all those millions of firearms and billions of cartridges in private hands will come into play…and people like Arianna will have no where to hide; NO ONE WILL!
The idea that, "My grandfather was a farmer, so that my father could be a businessman, so that I could be a lawyer, so that my son could be a poet" has been around since the revolution: Jefferson and Adams both made similar statements. In that sense, then, nepotism is a founding principle of the American way, and I don't see how anyone of good will could have a problem with it: Not only individuals but also, over generations, also families "pull themselves up by their bootstraps." It really is the core thread of the American dream, and it's why so many from all points on the globe want to move here: To have an opportunity to make things better for oneself and one's children.
I have no problem with the silver spoon set having doors opened up for them, what irritates me is when some of them think that, because of the opportunities their forbears created for them, that they are in some way qualitatively better than the hoi polloi who have not yet managed to put it together. I really think this is what you should have concentrated on: The sense of superiority and entitlement that liberal elites – and conservative elites, I might add – exhibit.
Real Americans know that arriana is dkos lite
and we all know that arriana is working toward jumping on the full blown LIBERAL HATE AND VITRIOL toward American trainwreck
I once knew a man who coached his son's little league team. The reason he coached was so that his son could be a sports star. The man was such a narcissist. His son was the pitcher, naturally, and if another man's son hit a home run, he would put the kid on the bench and that kid would never play again.
Thanks for your comments. I think there is no question that America today would be in much better shape if Gore was elected. You mention many things I don't agree with but I feel that I benefit from reading the right wing views. It's boiling hot in Seattle today. (It hit an all time high of 103 this week) I got to get outside for awhile. Enjoy your Sunday!
Yes, and the media for the most part is whistling by the graveyard.
a few months ago on the NEW Phil Hendrie show. Arianna was a guest of Phil's, and while Phil does run left of center, he is a fair minded guy and has many opinions on the right side. Well Arianna says something about the right controlling all of cable news and Phil immidiatlly disagrees! Well, let's just say Arianna was POed at this humor guy telling her she is wrong. Spends the next minute browbeating Phil about how rightwingers like him are ruining the country, seeing how Phil is a democrat, he took offense and hung up on her A$$!
It was quite a treat to have this moron get treated like she treats so many on the right.
They'll keep hammering on GWBush because they THINK it works. Truth is that the american people are getting quite feed up with democrats blaming everyone but the one in the mirror.
It will be Nov 2012 and THE ONE will still be calling this "the bush economy".
Ann Coulter wrote about it in her book "Slander" They shuffle between administration gigs and positions in the media. They buy each other's books, give each other cushy jobs, pay for op ed pieces, write reviews of each other's books, movies, TV shows, take in each other's laundry. It's all one big happy family. But they never understand why their movies tank at the boxoffice, their newspapers and magazines are losing readership, and their books get remaindered, while conservative books (there are no conservative movies) become runaway bestsellers, and conservatives rule the radio waves.
The only thing better about Gore being President would've been the fact that Republicans would've controlled Congress for two more years as he drove people to vote Republican.
BTW – He also supported war in Iraq when he was running so how about that.
Ariana is simply killing time until she stars in the remake of "Green Acres." Can't wait to hear her say "Oliver, how do you like my hotscakes?"
I am enjoying my Sunday. Thanks. We are usually in the mid- to upper-nineties with high humidity this time of year, but we only broke 90 once last month. Today is refreshingly cool.
So what? It's not like HuffPo is going to hire Jenna Bush or anything. It's Arianna's website, and she can choose who she wants to be on staff, regardless of how closely that staff member worked with the Obama Administration. Besides, who really reads HuffPo anyway?
Hiring that kid was pretty smart of her. Even if he is a dope, there isn't a downside for her. When has she ever said she is presenting a balanced view? She has her audience. Her whole staff is not composed of this sort of favor. There is only so long Axelrod's kid can pull himself up by his dad's bootstraps. What he does from her on out is his own doing… If he cannot make a go of it, the obvious answer is to go into politics. Clearly any (or is it only?) dullard can do that.
I'll go ya' one better. Thirty years from now, when Barry is being hammered by history as a horrible President (think Jimmy Carter) he will be saying "If it wasn't for Bush my Healthcare Plan wouldn't have failed so horribly and bankrupted the country"……………….
We popped 46 degrees as a night time low just outside of Chicago in late June! Global Warming my keaster………………….
A interseting book by Hugh Hewitt, "If it's not close, they can't cheat".
I think it's a lesson that we can learn. Cause some dems are "ends justify the means" type.
Limbaugh, I think, uses the term government media these days. How apt. I look forward to reading Hollywood on the Potomac.
Years ago I was in living in Austin and in the run up to the '92 election I was introduced to Al Gore's daughter. I was polite but did say, quite clearly, that I hoped her father would be a private citizen by 1993. The little crowd that was gathered was shocked but I refused to backdown to a bunch of priviledged college kids sucking up to Al Gore's daughter.
Dahlink, i have other plans for Levi.
It turned out (allegedly) that ol' Mike liked to swing the ol' bat from both sides of the plate and she divorced for having an affair; with a man (allegedly).
Dahlink, i have other plans for Levi.
Toodles,
Arianna
Arianna did her best work with her mouth in bed about 20 years ago…what a skank…
Coulter pointed out something interesting. None of the "big" anti-American website power brokers or money men are American born/raised.
Kos was born in Chicago (it used to be part of America at one time) but was raised in another country, and the others Soros and HuffingPuffington are not even Americans. Why do we even listen to them? Shouldn't she be doing her website in Hungary or Transylvania or wherever?
It's pretty scary. I mean, what do they want other than "One World"? Why don't they just admit it instead of insulting America all the time?
One day in the future, we may not all be here to see the wonderful day, but America, history books and the rest of the world is going to look back at all of this. The media bias, the favoritism, the stadium speeches, the logo, the made up "office of the President-elect", the lies, the race baiting, all of it. People are going to finally say out loud, "WHAT THE F K WERE THEY THINKING? DIDN'T THEY SEE THROUGH ALL THIS?"
Let's see, how many selective recounts had they already done that still left Bush the winner?
That says a lot about her, turning a hubby gay; with her soft voice, supple skin, and wife like support.
Goods points, a whole bunch of them, THANKS!
The words journalistic and integrity do not belong in the same sentence for about two weeks now. Chronkite died.
And speaking of endless recounts, recent history indicates Minnesota got one going for six months, only to "elect" an ass-clown senator.
I think he hid in gay bars to escape her…she was a classic gold digger, came to the U.S. with nothing but her looks…if my memory serves me correctly…
what happened to all the good people out there? We as aountry need someone thats good and will stand up and help us through the rough times , i'm retired because of a stroke but the more i try to get help for one thing or another i get shot down , we need help from all walks of life if were to survive, Our children need to help us, as a senior we need nice places to live that are inexpensive, good medical coverage, covering dental, eyes, hearing, these things are expensive to us. I thought obama would be the one to help us, Iknew that McCain was not the one, anyone from money cant feel what we as low income do our pride is still there.I dont need the people in government tell me how to live I have a neighbor who does the same thing I just blow her off
I absolutely agree. They continuously tell us that conservatism is dying, yet Glenn Beck tops the Bestseller list in every category for how long now? And O'Reilly before him, and Coulter before him.

Whoo-hoo!
Nepotism rocks!
Yeah, and hard work sucks!
/sarc
Just another kid who was born on third base, and thinks he hit a triple…
Now, now, you can't expect everyone to earn their money and success the hard way, the way Zsa Zsa Huffington earned hers. There are not that many rich gay guys out there to marry and divorce (and get a big chunk of their money). Dahlink, now zat's vork.
Oh and let me just say I would loooooooooove to see where all her money is hidden. I would bet anything she does not pay her fair share of taxes. People like her never do.
Someone please expose this creature for what she is.
Here's liberal logic:
It's hot in Seattle. I live in Seattle. Global warming is real.
A perfect liberal syllogism.
Sadly, by Nov. 2012 the economy will have naturally corrected and recovered, and Obama will be claiming the credit for it.
Actually, hard work does kind of suck…
They need some clorine in that gene pool
I was trying be be polite about the Eurotrash wh0re, you had to go call her a gold digger. Shame on you…
That's really good. It's so simple even a child could understand it! Quick somebody go find a child to explain it to "ddaichiro"………….
Sidenote: Did ya happen to see that he signed out when things turned ugly? Guess he doesn't like the negative rating after all………
I'm not so sure. If we don't hit bottom fairly soon this could be a very long one……No?
SO TRUE.
When my dad said "you're on your own for college kid" I wasn't in the least bit surprised. He took it will mean more if you have to work for it seriously. Very very hard when we were kids – ever so grateful for it now. I worry about our bailout generation. There is no more "To whom much is given, much is expected".
I think that is JUST where government wants us.
I wonder what HuffPo is trying to be? Commentary only? Reporting? Actual journalism? Advocacy? It seems to be a bit of everything, and ultimately confused. As for nepostism, it is part of the world – people favor their families over others out of a very strong instinct. I'm not outraged by it per se, rather it's that it seems to be aimed at ingratiating itself with the powers that be, and that can never be good for reporting, journalism or commentary (commentary being from many different ideological viewpoints). It's only good for advocacy. If HuffPo is to be only issue advocacy (taking sides and flacking for your side) then it loses all of it's credibility.
Can you please, please, please operate in the here and now! You are pointing out something that happened almost a decade ago to justify behavoir today. I'm not saying that the "allegation" in the article you point to doesn't merit some (very little) consideration, but it really serves no purpose.

Chlorine – my apologies!!!!!!
Aside from the fact that a blatant opinion site is now trying to claim legitamite news media status, reaching for the same moronic college audience that thinks Stewart is a real news anchor, aside from that…
Huffington is such a dolt, she was the butt of every liberal joke when she was a supposed conservative. Such a mindless repeater of drivel many of us wished she'd shut up rather than be on our side. So now that she's done a 180 and gone totally leftwing, the very same leftwingers who rightly laughed at her clownish attempts at thought,.. those very same liberals..
now, hail her as the savior of leftwing media?
so did she stop being a moron when she showed she had no principle beyond gold digging, or was she so in tune with the usual phonies and non thinkers in the progressive crowd they couldn't tell her from their own anymore?
No panic here! Exhaustion yes! Completely tired of hearing about how George Bush did this, or George Bush did that, Liberals need a new talking point. How about the massive amount of small business's that have failed in the past 2 (TWO) months as a direct result of Obama policy. No Bush or Cheney involved.
I am doing more than insinuating, I am making a statement of fact! Do you really think that someone as naive as Gore would have been a good President? For God's sake the guy believes in Global Warming! He's a chump.
As a matter of fact every small business owner I know (and they are numerous) prospered under "W". These are not "Big Business" these are the small guy's who employ a lot of people. Most of these same business's are dying a painful death under Obama, and yes, with out going into great detail, these are the result of Obama's policies and his lack of real world business experience……..
The hypocrisy arguement only works when you compare equals.
That's sarcasm right?
Yeah, and it's 80 degrees in southern Missouri today, and has been in that range for the past month. And what's the temperature been like in the Northeast during this period? If you look at a map, it shows a fringe area of record highs for July and a huge blot of record lows for July in the nation's midsection. "Global Warming my keaster" is right.
Arriana Huffington, what a phony. I always cringed when she would show up on “Crossfire” to argue for the right, …YAK! Now she herds the witless left in an envy spree that warms the cockles of the White House, into believing “yes we can.” One small problem the American people are conservative by nature, and now the leftist throng finds itself fully exposed, not good. Young Axelrod will not make a difference in the coming conservative storm in 2010. So I say, haul a$$ left, engage in any kind of cronyism you wish, your days are numbered.
Let's see…who was it that called Florida early? Oh, that's right, the MSM channels. Not only did they call it for Gore early, they did it before the polls had closed in the Florida Panhandle, which is in the Central Time Zone. As anyone who's visited there will tell you, this area is the state's Republican stronghold (periphery of the Deep South, military installations, etc.), and because the people there actually work for a living, many were just on their way to the polls when the state was called, causing many to go straight home without voting. Even several Democratic strategists conceded later that this early call cost the GOP a minimum of 3,000 votes, more than enough to have given Bush an incontestable victory in Florida. But yeah, you're right, it was Fox News that "fixed" everything. Absolutely. When you come down off your high, let me know.
You're right; I just keep trying though.
I have a colleague at work who, if I am arguing politics at lunch with a group (they're ALL liberals), will turn to whomever I am arguing with, look at them, and say "I agree with you". She has NO idea what's going on. She asked me to "polish" her Master's thesis for her so she could maybe have a chance at graduating finally, and her English STINKS. There were sentences in there I just could not decipher. And she has the gall to say things like "I'm glad we don't have a President who says stupid things anymore". (Like, "Calibrate my words"?, I think to myself.)
Another liberal has taken to making fun of the Gadsden flag sticker I have on my truck. I'm wondering if it's MSNBC or The Daily Show that is giving him ideas. You're right- they are all idiots.
Ya, well ya know, I have no couth…none…zip…nada. I think that she may be a distant relative of George Soros. That pig should have a lazer-sight dot trained on his forehead and then *poof* the world is a much better place. It's funny how Eastern Europeans either didn't do much to defeat communism or accepted it whole heartedly; then when it goes down in flames they shuffle off to the U.S.A. to try to implement it here! London was full of Russians and Easter Euros, they must be spreading west. Soros really should be "eliminated"…give him some off his Nazi treatment back at him…
Another bone to pick,.. the lie repeated over and over that the "democrats are supposed to be the party of the working man."
Since flippin when?
Been there in the trenchs making 30,000 a year fulltime, struggling to pay basic things, and not once did the democrat party offer me or any of us anything but the usual,.. capitalists evil, unions good good, leftwing teachers, professors, demonizing opposing views, mocking patriotism and traditional views, and an anti-religious hysteria akin to McCarthyism.
Criticse them and you're anti-intellectual… racist, homophobic,… nice..
2007
"Bush,.. oh he was worse than Hitler."….
2009
Obama's policies are socialism?……
. "WHAT THE HELL'S WRONG WITH YOU, YOU NEVER DISRESPECT MY— ER, I MEAN OUR PRESIDENT, WHERE'S YOUR PATRIOTISM?"
This is why liberals get zero respect in any open minded reading. Do what I say, not what I do isn't a winning campaign slogan.

Let’s be clear: being born to the rich, famous or powerful is great —

I could go on (and on and on…………) but what would be the point. Global warming is a religion of faith and not fact.
Just saying, I try to picture Ms. Huffington with a soft voice and supple skin and immediately start fighting a gag reflex. Guess it got lost in translation.

Yes it's been fun! Please send some of that heat my way in Chicago. We've been averaging about 70 degrees……Don't believe the city proper has been over 90 degrees at all this year…………Coldest summer in 60+ years……..
lol. I was trying to be polite to the 2-bit twit.
I ordered one of the hyprocrate's from Amazon. Sorry, there wasn't any global warming in it. Just a Kenyan birth certificate of a B. Soretoro, or something like that……

He doesn't always drink beer…but when he does, it's probably some upper-class "lager"…
Oh wait…he wouldn't drink beer…that would put him amongst the "commoners".
I can't find fault with this. As I tell ALL my white, black, brown and yellow peeps, In America their are only two colors, RED and GREEN. RED is the best for big shots are taking care of their own blood first, second is GREEN, and that is if de MAN thinks he's going to make money off your arse!
All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.
That's funny; I remember living quite comfortably under the Bush administration. It wasn't until the Dems took over Congress that things began to go south.
Yes, FoxNews role on 2000 election night. It was so shameful that they increased their ratings dramatically over the past 8 years. Damn that Fox News.
Relax while we fix your mess. You can go back to electing idiots in about 20 years.

YOu wash my back and I will wash yours…… nepotism, at the HIGH LEVEL… it is just like Zucker and Immelt… look at where there friendship has gone…… damn, GE's CEO and NBC CEO… these two are in the pocket of the MESSIAH….. The left HAS NO PROBLEM WITH THIS, but then again they have no problem with spending our grandkids money as well…. makes you think!!!
Ariana and Soros are two NON AMERICANS trying to make our america a BETTER PLACE!!! what a crock!!!
You want to fix something, try Seppuku.
"who probably got started by selling out his own people"
Not "probably." He said so himself.
You mean, like post-WWII Germany?
I'd say 40% of Americans are completely brainwashed, hypnotized even. Nature abhors a vacuum, and they've filled theirs with Obama. They'll not easily come around, because it would mean admitting that they themselves are empty. As the truth of Obama becomes more obvious, they'll just get angrier and more violent… think of a nation of Garafolos brought to the next level.
They're not going to "snap out of it" till they find *themselves* on the cattle cars. Maybe not even then. For a good percentage of the liberal-indoctrinated public, it's too late. Their brains are wired. They are hopelessly lost.
Which mess?
The one that Jimmy Carter started in Iran?
The one that Bill Clinton was too busy to do anything about?
Or the one that Chris Dodd and Barney Frank created?
You moonbats created so many I have a hard time figuring out which one you are talking about.
There was in fact a news story several years ago that said she only paid something like $600 in taxes that year. I paid over $6000 in taxes that same year, and I made faaaaaaar less than she did.

When I was going to college at UC Santa Barbara, Arianna came and talked to the young Republicans Club. As I remember, she actually gave quite a good speech. Hell…I was convinced she was a true conservative. I'm more likely to believe that at her most fundemental level she's a conservative. After all, I think an overwhleming majority of people are conservative at their core because, when you think about it, conservatism is based in logic and common sense. I don't know too many liberals who run their families the way they say they wish to run society. Liberalism is a contrived, fantasy that can only be adopted when one has too much time on their hands due to the fact that they don't have to worry about the basics in life. That's why liberals get so scared when big terrorist actions take place. They know that when people are faced with the fear of death and destruction they reflexively run to the conservative side. And it makes perfect sense. When reality slaps you in the face all the liberal garbage not only becomes unattractive, it becomes down right infuriating and nonsensical.
cont….
As for Arianna, I think she adopted liberalism because, let's face it, it's much easier to be a liberal in today's society. You'll get invited to all the nice parties and there's nothing more liberals love than a defecting conservative. Look at how much attention that former Bush press secretary got for defecting. What's more, we conservatives aren't as hatefilled as liberals so we won't attempt to destroy your character or harm your family for simply changing your political affiliation. Just look at how hated Joe Liberman was for having enough character to not use a war for political gain. Other than his stance on the Iraq war, Liberman was right down the line liberal, but they still forced him to run as an independent because he wouldn't compromise America's safety for cheap pursuit of power. He couldn't stomach using our soldiers as political pawns and every time he went on tv liberals feared the American people would be shaken back to consciousness and see just how low they (liberals) would go in their pursuit of power.
I think you missed the sarchasm of VinceR.
