I echo your sentiments. I enjoy this site but the witch hunting post mortem on MJ is unseemly and rather pathetic. It is like every ounce of bile and hatred saved up from the Obama win is being directed at a dead entertainer as the scapegoat and symbolic target. Actually I'd rather watch a dozen MJ retrospectives than listen to one more minute of SotoMayor droning on about her rags to 'wise latina' sainthood. For weeks I've heard peeps smack about the real news being stifled by the MJ coverage. Now having watched the Obama Papal styled arrival in Ghana, and Sotomayor's ugly mug ( she badly needs a tube of Prell ) give me the moonwalk any day.

What a welcome diversion from Oblabla's 24/7 coverage! Whacko-jacko was a nice change in the state-run media for a bit, but it went on far too long.

Don't think anyone could upstage the pop star we have occupying the Oval Office. B. Hussein Obigarchy is even bigger than Michael, Elvis, Flip Wilson and Buckwheat.. combined.

I really enjoy hearing from conservative voices on this site. I like the body of work of this author as well. What I don't enjoy are the facetious remarks made about a person unable to defend themselves. (Prince of Punks?) That is one thing that should be off-limits in journalism. It would also be nice to reflect upon the positive qualities about Michael Jackson. I assure you there are more positive aspects about MJ than negative. Unfortunately, the independent thinkers of this party have decided to be more followers than leaders on the MJ issue. Just because Bill O'Reilly says something, doesn't mean we have to agree.

Here are the major aspects that separated MJ from the crowd:

You NEVER, EVER heard Michael criticize President Bush, even when it was trendy to do so.

He never followed trends, he set them.

He always tried to be positive and an inspiration to others.

And the most important: HE NEVER JUDGED ANYBODY JUST AS HE DID NOT WANT TO BE JUDGED.

For that he deserves to be remembered for.

In closing, I would like to show a little video to illustrate what I am talking about. I think you will see the Michael that he tried so hard to show the world, but just could not get past the negativity in the media...very similar to another person we know so well....Sarah Palin:
