Michael Jackson: NAMBLA Gets a Messiah

One group in particular saw him as the perfect messenger for their crusade, the North American Man/Boy Love Association – NAMBLA. NAMBLA is set for Michael Jackson’s return with the hope that he’ll set the record straight about loving young boys. They’re ready for a global love fest and it’s BYOJJ (Bring your own Jesus Juice.)
NAMBLA is an organization with a goal to eliminate age-of-consent laws. Arguing those younger than 18 have the mental ability to make decisions, they claim it is unfair to the youth to prevent them from doing so. They oppose forcing sexual relations on anyone, regardless of age. They do not advocate breaking the law, but work to change the law.
On June 15th 2005 the men of NAMBLA rejoiced when the pop singer Michael Jackson was found not guilty of all charges of sexual molestation of boys and of providing minors with alcohol. The group considered Michael Jackson’s acquittal to be a vindication for their Association. “Michael’s innocence is something that is held very dear to us,” said a representative at the time. “We can all relate to wanting to love a child. Many of us have small children that we love and many of us take small children to bed with us every night. Loving a child is not a crime and Michael has proven that to everyone.” Some NAMBLA members felt this was breaking new ground for them and hoped to see laws amended such as mandatory curfews for minors and the legal age of consent lowered to nine years of age.
The NAMBLA website is a cornucopia of at best, instructions on how to love an underage boy in an inappropriate manner, and at worst how to manipulate one into questionable physical experiences with an adult male.
In 2003, Jackson confessed to 60 Minutes about his love of sleeping with children. NAMBLA was founded in 1978, so the question begs; did Jackson get his talking points from NAMBLA for his 60 Minutes interview? In that interview The King of Pop was asked if it was okay to share his bed with children “Of course. Why not? If you’re going to be a pedophile, if you’re going to be Jack the Ripper, if you’re going to be a murderer, it’s not a good idea. That I am not.”
When asked if Jackson would allow his own children to sleep in a bed with a grown man who was not a relative or to sleep in that man’s bedroom, Jackson replied, “Sure, if I know that person, trust them, and love them. That’s happened many times with me when I was little.” This comment too is in lockstep with the mind set of NAMBLA “We feel a special love for children in our own special way and want to express it.” said a representative after the airing of that interview.
NAMBLA members don’t see themselves as Jack the Ripper because in the twisted mindset of its members they feel they’re filling a need they see in a child at the hands of their tormented past or present sickness.
Jackson left many unanswered questions about his past. Was he himself a victim of man boy love as a youth? Was his sick need to be with young boys a sign of arrested development, was he gay, or was Jackson just a modern day pedophiliac Pied Piper moon walking children to his Neverland ranch?
Only in today’s vacuous pop culture would thousands of people and all media outlets raise this man up like a Christ passing, all because he could sing and dance. If what he said about children came from the mouth of people’s neighbor, they’d have his head. On June 25th 2009 when Jackson was pronounced dead NAMBLA lost a man in common, gained a Messiah and children everywhere became safer.

I do not support NAMBLA. It's wrong to encourage and promote adults' sexual relations with children. They (children) are at the ages (before 18) not fully mature intellectually, physically, mentally, emotionally, psychologically and sexually. At least until they reach 25.
NAMBLA's argument does not hold any water with me, no matter what creative thinking and talking they can come up with.

Actually, he was not found innocent. He was found 'not guilty' which is more than just semantics legally. He also paid off a victim to not bring charges and to be gagged even after his death. Not the actions of one that is "innocent". There are also several witnesses, including former employees, that confirm his activities. The bedroom security systems, alcohol use, overnight stays in the same bed. These are NOT normal activites between an adult and children. You are obviously in denial of the obvious.
Perhaps shot if they practice what they preach or at least locked up with no hope of release. Perhaps treated for what they espouse if there is any ligitimate medical treatment. No one should be shot just for what they think. That sort of thought process is what we should all be against.

Ever been to San Francisco? Or talked to liberals in New York City? They are all convinced that they are the majority…of people who matter anyway. Hollywood has long been about using entertainment to quell the resistance mainstream Americans have to the wacky ideas of the liberal socialist agenda. Remember five years ago when Gavin Newsome and his group in San Fran were absolutely convinced that the time was ripe for gay marriage? Remember how they cost Al Gore a close election? That was a hoot! I still get a good laugh out of that one.

And if anyone doesn't believe that the insurance companies are worse than the meagre membership rolls of Nambla then just try to put in a claim. Where is the horror at the parents who accepted $20 million to shut up? Any ethical and responsible parent whose child was actually molested wouldn't accept one dime in lieu of prosecution. Any parent who does is worse than the molester. Where is the outrage? Where is the outrage over the church in Ireland's hideous abuse for years? Selectively choosing targets to somehow make a political point is balderdash and mitigates any legitimate arguement on the subject.

Selective? Gee he paraded it all for anyone to see, without regarding how it would look and what could be the consequences. His emmense ego would not let anyone tell him 'NO', and to believe insurance companies could have a hold on him that his family and entourage did not, is diverting the issue away from Jackson's own behavior. His ego kept him thinking that he could do anything and say anything, and the mindless fanbase would believe it. Unfortunately it turns out to be true. As for the parents, they were jerks for not prosecuting him, but as we see, the judicial system in Los Angeles favors rich Hollywood celebrities, rather than poor or lower middle class parents; so why not get some measure of retribution rather than take him to court when he would get off? Guilty as sin and free as a bird.

he was innocent, his accuser has recanted and anyone who saw the video of the detective interviewing him that came out last week cannot come to any other conclusion than he was innocent….i have to admit i believed the accusations too until I saw that video, now I'm convinced he was railroaded…his pleading no contest and not being found "not guilty" does not mean he was and you all know that….they found OJ innocent and we all know the truth about that too…so who cares what the court says, the "victim" said it didn't happen after he grew up and the video shows an innocent man reacting like an innocent man to ridiculous charges….and by the way…is there anyone who actually believes the dude even knew what sex was?

No one is selectively choosing targets. There wouldn't be a big outrage if people didn't try and make Michael Jackson some saint and act like he was some great person and excuse or ignore his past abuses. There wouldn't be such outrage if people didn't want to turn his former estate into a holy shrine. There wouldn't be such outrage if the city of LA didn't pay over a million dollars for his "state" funeral. None of those things happened in the examples you cited. There is a big difference and the argument is extremely valid.

The thought that always rolls through my mind whenever I hear about the Jackson scandals is: Who in God's name would ever, EVER, allow their children to hang out him? Let alone spend the night? I partly agree with robert c in that I feel the parents/enablers are just as guilty, if not more so.

I don't think you understood what I was saying- I wasn't talking about the parents giving Jackson a TOOL to commit a crime, they provided him with VICTIMS. As commentors have posted earlier, a good parent would never let their children anywhere near this creep unattended.

(They did) I think this thought process goes a long way in explaining the Jacko revolution (not revulsion). A young (black) lady who attends my church began a conversation with me about Jacko – how her cousin who never knew Jacko was now a big fan and had gone and bought CDs and learned the moonwalk, and how funny and neat that was. The circumstantial evidence in question leads me to conclude that Jackson was more likely to have been guilty of some version of the crime than not, and I think the large-scale overlooking of it in light of his passing is regretable.
However…
This man was never found guilty of the accusations in question, was aquitted in a US Court of Law on at least one occasion, has never been proven to have been guilty of anything alleged, and is now dead and cannot come to his own defense. In light of that, frankly, "tying" him to a vile organization like NAMBLA based mainly on his un-endorsed (to say nothing of posthumous) mention in said organization's sick propaganda for the purposes of a sensational blog headline is, I'm sorry, deeply uncalled for.

Would you just laugh it all off if it turned out that he had not sucessfully sexually penetrated her? Would you consider him a great fellow, or would you turn the dogs and the cops on him?

I always was suspicious of Jackson but the most damning thing I ever heard about him was on an interview with Corey Feldman. Feldman described how Jackson would talk to him about women being quote "dirty." He went on in more detail but it always struck me that while someone might falsely accuse Jackson of molestation the likelihood that they would make up a detailed story about his "grooming" process would be low. In any other case we should leave someone alone who is no longer with us, but in the case of a pedophile it's important to keep it up to uncover whether Hollywood types were coddling a child destroyer.

I once thought MJ was guilty too, but I looked at the facts with unbiased eyes and saw that he definitely was not guilty. He's my hypothesis about Michael Jackson. His actions are in no way defendable, yet he sincerely saw no wrong in them, and that's what was so scary about it. The way he was so nonchalant about his sleepovers in the Martin Bashir interview had me convinced he was not mentally all there.

Looks like the joke's on NAMBLA 'cause they can't even claim Michael Jackson as their messiah without proof. And if you ask me, there was more proof that there was a plot being made on Jackson's reputation by an unscrupulous dentist who told his son to lie about child molestation charges so he could take advantage of Jackson's good-hearted nature. And if that failed, the dentist had three other children to use for his scheme. But it didn't because he knew that ordinary people hate the concept of celebrity and that's how he created a plot that ultimately killed Jackson. Hopefully, "The Thriller" is having the last laugh by haunting this dentist/basterd-in-a-basket for the rest of Dr. Basterd-in-a Basket's life.

I'm not standing up for Michael Jackson. As I said, I think he was guilty of SOME version of what he was accused of. Do I believe he was a child-rapist? I don't know. Did he behave innapropriately toward children? I think the evidence says that this was the case, yes.
However, that's a FAR cry from dubbing him a "messiah" to NAMBLA, an organization he has never been tied to. It's the difference between saying "I disagree with the president" and "the president is a terrorist sleeper agent."
MJ was certainly known to invite children into his home, have them live there, and have them sleep with him. He admitted to this in many interviews–in the Bashir interview his own words caused America to do a double take on what he said. Most of America thought it was creepy. NAMBLA found a hero in Michael Jackson; anyone hearing that with knowledge of NAMBLA, would certainly draw some obvious conclusions.
In my opinion, MJ isn't worth arguing about because the guy is dead and the truth will win out at some point. The gossip rags will make sure of it. Instead I think NAMBLA and its agenda is more important because as Joseph said they are working to change the laws for access to children. That is scary stuff.
NAMBLA is simply attempting to use Michael Jackson's fame as a crutch to make themselves appear to be acceptable neighbors. He can't stop them from using his name now, or defend himself. All I know about Michael Jackson is what I have read and observed in the media for a number of years. Therefore I can not say with any certainty what kind of a person he was, or what he did in the privacy of his own home beyond his obviously strange freaky behavior in many ways with young boys. They say you are judged by the company you keep and from this alone, one can easily assume that Michael Jackson could have easily have fit in, or been a member of NAMBLA. Was he a member? Who knows with proof? Nambla would like to think so. Michael Jackson fortunately is just a little bit of history now no matter how talented some people would like to describe him. The only thing I ever watched him do that was kind of neat was the moon walk thing. Beyond that he was just a freak performer with a odd following who worshiped him. He was indeed a duck by all the circumstantial evidence. Was he anything more than just a strange duck? I don't really know.
