It’s the same for me today when it comes to Obama pornography, it’s hard to define, but I know it when I see it. For the first time in history we’ve got a product placement President and his machine is pushing Obama porn.
Yesterday while strolling through the aisles of my local Barnes & Noble I was assaulted by fourteen magazines with Obama spread across their covers, all in differing poses, two included his wife in close embrace. In the history section forced upon my eyes in plain sight were 23 hardcover books with this political porn star upon it. Michelle Obama even had two books of her own, one a biography, and the other, I believe, was about her fashion sense. I didn’t open the book, I’m not that sort of guy, but I think it had something to do with “going sleeveless.”
As a grown up I was okay with the Obama porn smeared all over the adult sections, but, when I reached the far corner of the store, next to the knee-high chairs and stuffed animals I almost lost it. There I found a whole wall of Obama porn for kids, featuring hardcore, hard covered, cartooned Barack Obama porn begging children to partake. Not since Chairman Mao have children been so assaulted by the likes of such pornographic political propaganda.
Just below the 32 different kiddy books on the shelf with titles such as “The Obamas: First family of Cool,” “Yes You Can,” and “Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope,” were all sorts of Obama playthings for kids, Obama coloring books, paper dolls, action figures, baseball caps and sippy cups. I wanted to cry, I wanted to call the police, but I knew it was pointless.
Three months into his presidential performance Obama porn was still everywhere. Obama porn is dangerous to all, not just kids, it’s easy to get addicted to, and at the least, should be taxed like a corporate bonus at 90%.
There is a gateway drug into Obama porn, it is the bumper sticker, you see them everywhere; they have that Pepsi-Cola sort of vibe to it, the sort of which pulls people in for something sweet and refreshing. That’s how it starts. They put one on their car, and then they buy a Time magazine Obama porn issue, then a hard-core, hardcover Obama porn book find its way onto their nightstand. They wrap themselves in an Obama t-shirt and the next thing they know its Obama porn lawn signs, coffee cups, key chains, hats and pins. This then leads to hours spent surfing Obama porn online which is not only disgusting in its very nature, but baffling in the unlimited forms to which it can be found on the internet.
Obama porn can be so addictive that it can lead large groups of people into an orgasmic state, one that bypasses all reason and moves them to follow this political porn star to the ends of the earth, all in the hopes of one more fix from this Dr. Feel Good. It’s everywhere and it’s dangerous. If you’re an addicted to Obama porn I suggest you take the lead from AA and start a local chapter of OPA, Obama Porn Anonymous. Turn it over to a higher power; just make sure that power is higher than, “The One.”
Yet some embrace it and are glad it’s here. To quote Angela Lambert, “Pornography is literature designed to be read with one hand.” With Obama porn the left has finally been given the load of literature they’ve been dreaming. You’ll know Obama porn when you see it, and now that I’ve brought it to your attention, you’ll see it everywhere.

Haven't seen anything like it since the JFK "leapers." I don't know if it's pornographic, but it's certainly unseemly–and weird.

One of my favorite pastimes in a Target store is to go into the book section and hide all of the Obama porn books behind other books. It gives me a weird calming sensation to walk out of the book section knowing all of the Obama porn, especially for the kids, is covered up.

Over the weekend the Mrs and I watched the BBC series "Long Way Down" on DVD (Ewan McGregor and his friend Charlie Boorman riding motorcycles from Scotland to South Africa, well worth the watch but not as good as their round-the-world trip "Long Way Down"). It was funny/creepy when they drove through Libya and showed all the pictures, paintings and other worship of Muammar al-Gaddafi. What was most creepy is how it looked like Obama worship.

Well, I don't watch Fox News and I've never listened to one second of right-wing radio. But I did see the grotesque Obama-Is-God display in the children's section of my local Barnes & Noble (Union Square, Manhattan), just this past weekend, and was utterly repulsed by it. Bush-porn? Reagan-porn? I don't recall rafts of adoring children's books written about either of the men in question. I think a very good children's book could have been written about Reagan's contribution to the fall of the USSR and the fall of the Berlin Wall in particular, but oddly enough I don't happen to know of any such. If you can give me the title, I'll be happy to purchase it for my three children. The Obama Shrine for Tots, on the other hand, reminded me very much of China during the Cultural Revolution — they generated a lot of adoring storybooks for kids about Mao too.

I teach children's literature. When it comes to children's books about Reagan and Bush, all you can find are dry as dust biographies, not pretty picture books. And when it comes to children's books about first ladies, it's all Eleanor Roosevelt all the time with a nod to Abigail Adams. Believe me – the very liberal crowd have firm control of children's book publishing and the libraries too.
Now I'm not saying that Obama is Hitler or that he's going to act like Hitler. But when people say "Hitler could never happen again", I always look at how quickly and easily so many people just surrender all their independence and judgment and begin to worship their latest political messiah.

There's a troll over at another high profile conservative website who spends day after day continuously asserting that Barack Obama has saved the economy, that his policies worked. She puts it that way every time, in the past tense. It's not that she wants his policies to work and hopes that the economy will be saved, it's that it has already happened. It's already done. Obama's policies worked, and the economy was saved. End of story.
The relentless, non-empirical, non-introspective manner with which this is asserted never fails to creep me out.

This is very true. I agree that it would help the party as a whole. On the other hand, it was good to see that people are acting apart from the traditional party stance. The fact that republicans and democrats could fight for a common theme is a great step forward. But it is true that the Republicans should have had a bigger role in the whole.

To be fair…how much is indoctrination, and how much is capitalism?
If people are out there BUYING this stuff up…while it sickens me, especially in what the MSM keeps jamming down our throats as a "down economy," if there's a market for it, and people are buying it…well, I can't argue with it. I'll argue that choice in reading materials, but I can't argue with people who see a chance to make money and run with it. It's a market, and it'll become oversaturated and two years down the line people will be like "the hell was I thinking?"

It's not a rant. You can see the subject in almost any bookstore you go to. You can see it on the streets of any liberal city, you can see it on many liberal indoctrination institutions (aka colleges). It's not what we say, it's how it is and is very provable. We're just glad we could make you aware of it because you obviously don't look up when you walk or drive.
It is scary! I keep having visions of giant statues of Obama all over the country carved by formerly out of work sculptors as part of the stimulus package…plays and songs written to glorify his name, oh..wait…that's already happened. Oh, no, it wasn't a dream…
