Tío Chano vs. ‘Transformers 2′
by Joe LimaMy Uncle Luciano (we call him Tío Chano) has been living with us for several months now and I’ve been worried about him. He spends all his time holed up in his room obsessing about politics and the state of the culture. I urged him recently to get out more, maybe see a movie or something. “What movie?” he asked. I answered offhandedly, “I don’t know, something escapist, like ‘Transformers 2.’” I lent him the keys to my car and off he went to the movies.
He was so excited (agitated?) when he got back that he asked if he could make a video of his impressions of “Transformers 2″ and post it on Big Hollywood. “I don’t know, Tío, that movie’s been out for a couple of weeks now, Big Hollywood is a blog, it’s all about what’s happening right now.” Tío Chano assured me that he’d find a way to make it current. So I relented. Why not? I hadn’t planned on posting anything this week anyway. So, here he is, my Tío Chano. Oh, and by the way: Spoiler alert!

Boy do you look like your uncle Joe. He is spot on with Honduras situation. It is driving me insane that BO seems to always get it wrong. I think just playing the odds, he'd once in a while get it right but he consistently is wrong because he is a statist/Stalinist at heart and sympathetic with people who see things the same way. Regarding Transformers 2: I almost fell of my chair with the snake coming out of her butt. I haven't seen the movie and really don't need to now. Tio Chano made it more real than the movie could.

Lol ok you just put like half of my uncles, my god father and countless family friends in to a video to talk about transformers lol.
I suddenly find my self at the age of ten sitting in my Padrino's house for my birthday, no one except my brother is under the age of 45. every one is drinking, talking really loud and waving their hands about as Hispanic music from various nations blares in the background… And I am forced to sit patiently to open my shirt that looks like it was a refugee from about 1965…

I have hope for South America when I see them take to the streets and protest 'Chavez Network News or CNN.'
