‘The Undefeated’ Preview: Palin Takes on ExxonMobil
by John NolteVia our friends at Right Scoop, here’s a clip from “The Undefeated” that aired on “Hannity” last night and focuses on Governor Sarah Palin’s fight with ExxonMobil over unused land leases. You’ll hear Governor Palin’s voice in the clip, but keep in mind that that’s her narration from her mega-selling autobiography “Going Rogue.”
The hopelessly corrupt MSM is already starting to seed the narrative around this film with the nonsense that this is something Palin “commissioned,” which simply isn’t true. She reached out to documentary filmmaker Steve Bannon with the idea of producing some short films that would help to set the record straight with respect to her record as Alaska’s Governor. In response, he suggested a feature-length documentary that he would finance himself as long as he held complete editorial control. The Governor agreed, took her hands off the wheel and only helped him gain access when needed.

This is a good clip to release. One of the most impressive parts parts of Palin’s record is her willingness to fight oil companies who had previously enjoyed a much too cozy relationship with the Republican establishment in Alaska — what she calls the “good ole’ boys” network. One can only imagine how much differently a president Palin would’ve handled the BP Oil Spill.
Barack Obama was the number one beneficiary of BP campaign contributions and anyone who thinks that didn’t add to our corporatist president’s dithering over that disaster isn’t paying attention.
“The Undefeated” hits theatres in July.

I grew up in Eagle River, Alaska during the 60's; trust me, the oil companies owned that state. We used to make a game whenever we kids rode into Anchorage with our parents to name a large building that was not owned by one of them. (And don't let anyone tell you the oil companies didn't also own the Native tribes; the most powerful tribe, the Tlingits, wouldn't sneeze without their permission.) When I grew up and returned to visit in the 70's, 80's and 90's, it still hadn't changed. They were the power in Alaska. It says everything about Palin that she not only stood up to them but won. This single accomplishment defines the strength and integrity of that woman.
(By the way, I am overjoyed at the professionalism of that film clip. Bannon is so gifted that he knows the worst thing that destroys a documentary is preaching loudly and arrogantly to the viewer. Speak softly but carry a large stick is the mantra of a successful film and this one has that written all over it. Oh, Sarah was so smart to get this man on her side.)
It really is this easy-the Left is scared to death of Sarah Palin. If she runs, I think she and America win.
President Obama is probably hoping that Republicans can be tricked into running someone like Gingrich.
The MSM will spin this Doc, like a top. Palin is already taking heat for the title of subject piece,
and it hasn't been released yet, that I'm aware of.
She will continue to take a beating but she must do it, Not necessarily for her
own benefit, as she probably won't get converts, but if she doesn't get the truth out
there who will?
Thinking about the Palin subject lately, more convinced than ever she will run:
1) She might actually win.
2) Though some say she'll be better suited as kingmaker, the fact that a whole lot of GOP primary voters will actually vote for her will give her way more power in making kings than if she doesn't run.
3) Other than maybe Romney, she's the biggest money making machine out there.
4) If she has any interest in a cabinet position, running will put her in a better position than not running.
5) Running will allow her (and the tea party) to shape the GOP debate far more, even if she has not interest in winning.
6) If she really does want to win in 2016, running and not getting the party nomination, then having the winner lose to BHO, will automatically put her in the drivers' seat for the next time.
All in all, the only reason I can imagine for her to not run is if she really, really doesn't want to.
I hope it hits a theater near me–I can't wait to see it!
I would like for her and for Perry to run. Not because I always agree or understand their thinking on some things, but for the simple fact that they are two people who have put their money where there mouth is, they have an actual record that holds up well to scrutiny.
Plus, and this is really how I decide to vote (kinda): Obama probably has creepy, soft hands. Lawyerly hands. He probably had to exercise his grip to get his candidate handshake ready. I can't see either one of these governors with damp palms and baby soft hands. Just think about it. Betcha Bubba did too. Dukakis? John Edwards? See where I am going with this. . . .
The only exception I can see is Carter, but he does have that baby soft voice, so there you go.
Now the liberal narrative will be that this is some excercise by Palin to exalt herself. Look for them to run with the "Palin has a God complex" meme.

Do you think it will play in as many theatres as Atlas Shrugged? Or will last as long?
Even if the story gets set straight, the next time Palin opens her mouth the electorate will remember just how dumb she is.
I hope she runs. She might convince Republicans in the primaries to pick her but she will lose badly if she is the nominee.

As for Palin, I have liked her from the first moment we were introduced to her during the 2008 campaign. She would do this country a great service by being President. I absolutely see her as a female version of Reagan.

I finished Going Rogue about 2 weeks ago. It often struck me how interesting it would be to see it as a movie. I thought more like a dramatization, but a documentary is a better idea! Sarah will need to reach out to all the Americans who no longer read books. I'm hoping she runs, but I wouldn't be too surprised if she's just doing all this to distract the oppo research. GAME ON!

I own all three of those movies on dvd. It's unlikely that I will ever own The Undefeated or Atlas Shrugged Part 1. It's unlikely that Parts 2 and 3 will ever even exist.
