NEW TRAILER: Adam Sandler’s ‘Grown Ups’ Hits Theatres June 25th
by John Nolte—–
Rob Schneider is a god who can do no wrong…
….and anyone who disagrees obviously hasn’t seen the epic “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.”
If you have seen “Deuce Bigalow” but still disagree on the “god” thing, then I’m afraid you’re not the person I thought you were.

I am looking forward that. They're no longer the juveniles, but let's see if they can pull off being adults!
Re: Adam Sandler films, I guess I have some catching up to do. The last one I saw was Click and, despite a very interesting Capra-esque idea, I didn't like it. Happy Gilmore, however, remains a classic.
Actually, now that I remember, I did see Funny People. It was good, but not great. I thought Sandler turned in a very good performance.
As for director Dennis Dugan, he did Brain Donors which in my eyes makes him immortal.
If he's such a god explain "Judge Dredd".
"Happy" remains the only Sandler movie I've ever liked. "Water Boy" had its moments, but for the most part, eh.
Dugan also did "Saving Silverman" which makes him immortal-er.
See "Zohan." It probably had a lot to do with the company I was keeping — I took my nephews (age 13 and 15, i.e. Sandler's target audience) — but I can't remember laughing so much or so hard in long, long time.
Good, stupid fun.
When Adam Sandler, gets together with John Schneider they are funny. When Sandler gets together with Schneider, Rock, James, and Spade its gonna be hysterical. The trailer looks great, and for once…..Something original from Hollywierd. YAY
I liked Zohan too.
I hated "Zohan". What a miserable film. And it really hurt, because I usually do like Sandler and his films. As for "Grown Ups"? Doesn't look funny. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think this is a good film.
John, you haven't steered me wrong yet. That looks hilarious!
I really love "Duece Bigalow:Male Gigalo". I saw it at the theater on a whim years ago because nothing good was playing that particular weekend and thought it was hilarious. I also love Rob in the "Hot Chick". Almost anything Adam Sandler is involved in is funny. My dad would personally love it if Adam Sandler (he produced)and Kevin James got together again for another "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" movie.
Breastfeeding a four year old. Ick! Ptoeey! Gross! Yup, this film is going to make money.
I must have been one of the 12 people who actually liked Funny People. As for Rob S., he has always been awesome.
That was pretty damn funny. The breastfeeding part was just wrong.
You want funny? How about when Adam Sandler gets together with Bob Barker?
John Nolte Special Decoder Ring says:
Someone involved in the making of this must vote Republican.
The price is wrong BITCH!!!
Priceless!
Yep, this one's going on the "Must See" list!!
It is on my see list. It is a movie that appears to be just good fun without the heavy message upfront. The lessons, if any, will be at the end and hopefully not overdone.
I'm not embarrassed to admit I like "Deuce Bigelow." I like a lot of Sandler films. I'll watch "The Wedding Singer" and "50 First Dates" every time they're on television. I can't help myself. But, as much as my husband likes Sandler, Shneider, Spade & James, something tells me Selma Hayek is going to be an incentive too…
Oh, bleh… that's hardly unusual, only unusual in 2010 and in America.

At least Will Ferrell is not in this stinker.
Yep! Hayek is the main sell for me.
I think she's at the top of my husband's good-old "laminated list." I've got Hugh Jackman on mine, so I figure we're even.
It's a TRAP!
'Rob Schneider is a god who can do no wrong…'
So true, about time he got the recognition he deserves. His movies are not intellectual at all, they are simple, laugh out loud escapism which stand up to repeated viewings. He is great in nearly every role from a great cameo such as the Waterboy (Cut his fucking head off) and to his star vehicles like Big Stan & Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo which is a movie I still quote to this day and if you don't agree with me then I'll he-bitch man slap you!
I don't get the ick comment. What's so gross about breastfeeding a four year old, exactly?
What exactly was wrong with the breastfeeding part?
Cool! And featuring some of the SNL cast from the time when SNL was relevant and funny. I'll watch it just for the Hayek factor, but I do hope they didn't lame this one up.
That's just a straight up ass-kicking, there.
Bitch.
I see a date night in my future! Call the sitter.
Judge Dredd isn't a Rob Schneider movie, it is just a movie with Rob Schneider in it, big difference.
Question: Will Salma Hayak be in a swimsuit?
This is something I need to know when planning my summer movie viewing schedule.
; )
You will have to arrest me to keep me from seeing this.
I'm enjoying the addition of Kevin James to Sandler's stable of comedian friends he puts in his movies.
So you're the other person who has seen Brain Donors.
There's a deep well of kindness and affection that runs through movies by Sandler and Schneider. We finally rented "Don't Mess with the Zohan" and I could tell which parts were Sandler and which parts were written by Judd Apatow. The parts where I cringed were Apatow, and the parts where I laughed were Sandler.
I'll see this movie. We might even make it a date night and see it in the theatre.
I will hear no ill spoken of Don't Mess With The Zohan.
Maybe the part where kids are usually well weaned by then?
The kid was blocking it.
Oh, how funny, look, people feeling uncomfortable about a breastfed 4 yr old. <sigh> but then, it is Adam Sandler. However, I'm surprised Salma Hayak would be happy to be in this, seeing as she nursed her baby for over a year.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good belly-laugh, Bedtime Stories is great, we watch it with the kids (both breastfed for over 4 years btw) and we all enjoy it. But despite the rest of the film looking funny, I'm not sure I want to see it because of the way it handles the breastfeeding of an older child.
(and for the record, very few women breastfeed by whipping a whole boob out over the top of a neckline, not only does it wreck your clothes, and is uncomfortable on the boob thats hanging over the top of your clothes, it's also very revealing, and most of us are pretty discrete when we nurse our babies/children. AND, most 4 year olds don't nurse in public, it's very much a bedtime/early morning thing by the time they are this age. So disappointing to see this in a movie *again*)
you're kidding, right? if not?….ewww to you
Okay, "The Animal" then.
As hard as you might find it to believe I liked the movie, it is like most Happy Madison movies, crude, funny, a bit stupid but it also has a heart and the heart is what takes their movies to the next level.
Sorry, but this looks like a plotless, formulaic mess.
He was young and needed the money.
