‘RedEye’ Video: Breitbart Talks CPAC — ‘Confront the Bullies’

Breitbart: It’s time to hit back at these people — that these people keep calling you a racist… Instead of slinking into the corner and crying or saying ‘I don’t like that,’ you walk straight towards them and confront them; and they’re bullies, they’re just bullies and bullies crumble when you hit them back.
My wife and I were at CPAC and watched most of this go down. I wrote a little bit about it for Big Journalism and closed with this:
Something else I learned at CPAC is that my boss knows exactly how to treat the media. And I only say that because what you won’t see on YouTube are the two days Andrew spent with a writer from Slate who was both friendly and professional, and in return received every spare minute Andrew had.
Then there are the “We got him” media-types, those under the mistaken belief that a byline, badge and race-baiting questions somehow make up for their deficits as human beings. They were also treated the way they deserved. After all…
We are at war with them because they are at war with truth.
After Andrew treated Tommy Christopher – the wildly unprofessional race-baiting White House reporter from Mediaite — exactly the way he deserved to be treated, by chance, no more than a couple minutes later, my wife and I happened to be next to Christopher as he bragged to the few people around him, “We got him — We got him.”
Next thing I know I hear a woman telling Christopher off; calling him a liar — that he did not “get” Andrew Breitbart — and a race baiter, and the shining example of why the media no one trusts anymore is dead. No profanity, nothing un-ladlylike, just righteous facts.
It took me a second to realize that the woman telling Christopher off was my own wife. All five-foot nothing of her — in the war; walking straight towards the bully and confronting him.
God, I was proud of her. And I’m proud of my boss and I’m proud of Larry O’Connor and I’m proud of everyone at CPAC who treated these leftist hitmen bullies with the same arrogant contempt they showed us.
Moral of the story? As my wife told me later: “It felt good to get off the sidelines.”

Here's to Breitbart – a hero for our times.
When hollywood.com started I told my wife Andrew Breitbart would become the most influential conservative in America with the possible exception of Rush. I stand by that statement.
Keep pounding Andrew, the left is beginning to break!
I've been speaking up to liberals for some time now. It's probably cost me a few business contacts and quite a few party invites but at one point I thought to myself, I don't give a damn. I must say I've derived much amusement at seeing the wide-eyed shock on a left winger's face when I challenge them in a confident and robust manner. I live in a liberal stronghold and they are not used to being contradicted.
Sounds like a good woman.
Breitbart is the leader of the new breed of culture warriors. I think about the difference between Jan. 2009 and today….wow.
One of the best lines from CPAC:
"Trust me, as a friend of Andrew, he doesn't ALWAYS sound like a crack addict on ten cappucinos!" Lol
Here's hoping we get to see more of Breitbart and Ms Giles in the coming weeks. A fine job, sir and madam, a fine job.

Ah yes, they're quick to retreat when confronted with the facts, and when they don't already have an answer, like good little scientologists, for the person daring to speak the truth boldly to their faces, in public, where they can't back down without running or getting up after the browbeating they deserve.

At best you'll have the Right Revurnd Jessie Jackson and Crazy Al Sharpton shaking you down, or at worst, the New Black Panthers with their knee cracking billy clubs will plant a car bomb. You are messing with a mindest that civilized folk do not savvy. It is the law of the jungle,and survival of the fittest.
I am scared to speak up. Not in a timid way at all, but I know how deep the left will dig if they want to find something on me, and I want the details of my life to remain somewhat private. No one is perfect. What are we to do? I have alot to offer, but I fear the repercussions.

I would like to know if it is possible to sue people like Janeane Garafolo for slander for calling Tea Party people "straight up racists" as she did again last week. It's a bold faced lie and it causes damage to my reputation, and it affects my children at school. If anyone knows anything about what the law says on this matter I would love to know. She can go on the radio and trash people like us, so how do we defend ourselves?

You are correct Mr. Nolte. This particular variety of modern liberals are indeed bullies. They're entire mode of operations can be analyzed by observing a middle school cafeteria. They operate as if it's their right to decide who gets to sit at the cool kids' table.
It's no more complicated than that. I used to despise these kinds of attacks even when I was on the same side. It's that lame.
And what you need are your facts straight (exactly what Blumenthal and Salon posted and when), and then you throw it right back at them.
That's because what they're specialty is is changing the premise of the debate. That's why they won't respond, Andrew and Larry aren't letting them get away with it.

The critics of Breitbart and his revised "new tone" to use Pre.Bush W term, are not going to like the
confrontational aspects to the new media treatment. I'm sure it was a shocker when the Dutch Olympian athelete confronted the NBC/MSBS interviewer when she asked him a question he replied "are you stupid"? I'm not sure what her answer was or if she knew the answer but I'm sure it taught her she should know something of the subject

Presidents stupid among many other things as well as their voters. This may be an interesting trip to November.

we are to do what you said. Remember no one is perfect. I have made great mistakes in my life. Happily I have used those same mistakes to learn what I believe is true and how to speak the truth. Confront your past before hand, and then get in the fight. I was very timid about arguing the points, but now, I know we MUST do so if we are to save this country. I will not have it said of me later that I could have fought and did not. You can hide, but never run from the truth. It is with you all the time. Those who love you will understand and those who don't, don't matter.

Nobody's bullying you. We're just sick of that insipid conspiracy theory. Given all the other ways in which Obama was unqualified for the job – stuff we can prove, like being an ideological snob, having no real-world experience, associating with undesirable people, etc – continuing to harp on and on about his goddamn birth certificate does nothing but give fuel to the other side. He's the President. If you want him out in 2012, try concentrating on actual problems and reasonable solutions.

I've came to the conclusion quite a while ago that at the center of almost all true liberals (that is true ideological leftists…not people who just thinks it's "cool" to call themselves a liberal) is cowardice. How else can you explain the glaring contradictions in their actions vs. deeds. Liberals would have you believe they hold equality as practically sacred. Racial equality, gender equality, homosexual equality, ect. At the same time, however, they denounce Isreal and defend the Palestinians. They attempt to destroy Christianity, but defend and embrace Islam. How is this possible when both Isreal and Christianity are light years ahead of the Islamic world on issues liberals claim to champion? Pure and simple cowardice.
The fact is they'll shout and march all day as long as they KNOW the people they're marching against are civilized and won't do them any harm. On the other hand, try that shitck with a jihadist and you mind find yourself missing a head. With that being the case, they're tough as nails with us because they know nothing bad will happen to them. Simply put, many, if not most, true leftists have almost no character or courage because when the going gets scary and tough they are quick to abandon their supposed beliefs. With that being said, the theme of this article is very close to the mark. You have to get tough with these people that take advantage of our good natures. While thankfully we haven't gotten to violence yet, we still have to make these people belief that there will be some kind of price paid for getting in our faces and debasing our characters. My guess is that once these people know and belief this fact you'll find them falling back rather quickly. Ultimately they don't hold the courage of their convictions.
God Bless you! I used to do it in the work place, a decade ago; I worked with three 60s radical wannabees–great guys, but soooo wrong. It was wonderful to set them straight–and running to their computers to prove me wrong and then learn I was right.

Radio – Limbaugh
Internet – Breitbart
TV – Beck
Think what you want about any of them, they are conservative, more importantly they believe in their principals and are not going away soon.
Don't be too quick to criticize the TV jocks. Their medium is not all that friendly to confrontations like what happened at CPAC and I have seen Ingraham and Malkin get after some people pretty good before. They need to keep doing what they are doing. This message needs to reach as many people as possible.
And now that I think of it, I did see Beck throw that ACORN lawyer off his set. You don't see that too often.
Historically When America has needed a Hero to rise to the occasion, one always has!!! It's like everyone was shackled to follow their philosophy and Andrew is running around with a skeleton key setting everyone free by giving them a place to congregate and express their forbidden views!!! What I liked most about the Breitbart/Blumenthal video was how old Maxie kept backing up — both literally and metaphorically. It confirmed something I deduced a long time ago about Andrew. He's a street brawler. Maxie was scared.
At least under the Republicans, there was a false sense of security.

Hell, I've heard that Olbermann wanted a job at Fox but had to settle for MSNBC when Fox didn't want him. If that's true, it shows you how these talking heads don't care about what side they're on as long as they are in front of a camera.

I saw Andrew speak at the Tea Party in Santa Ana, CA on April 15, 2009. My first bloody protest and first hand made sign ever. I am stoked that I got to hear him speak, he was talking about launching an attack, and he was not messing around.

And kudos to Andrew for saying what I've been saying for a while now – the left is full of bullies and the only way to stop a bully is to stand up to them, not back down. The GOP has been too polite for too many years, offering their hands and pulling back bloody stumps, and most of them still haven't figured it out yet.
I'm glad that there are more people out there willing to stand up and say something instead of just ignoring it or backpedaling.

Confrontation with a valid arguement and facts not emotion and labels destroys their assertions every time. Most of the media show up at events with preconceptions and irregardless of what is said they tend to slant their reporting to those preconceptions.
We have free speech for a reason. And there are two sides to every arguement, make sure your side gets heard just as loud as theirs. Then intelligent people (not Sheeple) can make descisions based on both sides of an arguement.

When people bring up names like Janeane (Janinane) I find it very satisfying to say, "Who is Janeane? Who is Keith? Who is Joy?". The only time I hear them mentioned is when the right is exposing their lies, hypocracy and defamatory tactics. I don't watch MS TV or read MS Print. I don't support their advertisers or their message…I use my feet and my money to extol American Exceptionalism. And the ratings indicate others are following this example. Soon the media layoffs will reach the top…can you sing Anchors Away?

The Breitbart websites deserve ongoing rounds of applause for their journalistic and commentary endeavors, and for how they are provoking the American people who care to read them into thinking, and thinking hard, and evaluating the commentary in light of current events. At the very least, the sites and their content should cause us all to stretch our minds and think hard. And then in follow-up, to take any kind of action. From a reader, Thank You Mr. Breitbart and Breitbart.com writers and staff, for all you do. From the heart.
We need more of this. Push the Hypocrites back and make them back up their statements.

I think she had asked him to say his name and spell it so she could attribute his quote accurately. It's nice a reporter is trying to get that info correct, but this guy just had the biggest moment of his life and this reporterette was acting like she was at a press conference. Good for this guy to point out the inanity of the question when she could have easily looked at the scoreboard or program and gotten the same infomation. Bad on him for his answer to how he felt. He could have been a little more giving in that, instead of just "Good!"
