Just a few weeks ago Jennifer Lopez tried to get her Hollywood A-Ticket out or NowheresVille punched by calling Sarah Palin a “bitch.” Which obviously makes sense on some level. The easiest way to enhance your resume with the Hollywood Frat Boys is to lash out at anything conservative — especially our favorite self-made Governor and mother of five. But look at George Lopez; he’s so desperate to be loved he’s stealing jokes from … J-Lo?
And look at the left as a whole. They’re so frustrated with the utter collapse of all-things Obama that they’ve resorted to this kind of mean-spirited name calling. You have the Roger Eberts of the left using degrading sexual slurs against the everyday folks who make up the Tea Party movement, the Unfunny Lopez-Twins going for the cheapest, cruelest laugh imaginable, and Mt. Lawrence O’Donnell blowing his invective in front of the whole world.
In the rough and tumble of political debate both sides use labels to make a quick point: wingnuts, extremists, nutjobs. I’m partial to dirty filthy hippie myself. But these are mainstream entertainers and journalists, not Internet trolls. just when you think the Left can’t go any further…
And has any part of HandNote-Gate been funnier than the full frontal assault the Left launched — including the Palace Guard Comedian Class — to convince us that a few words written on someone’s hand is somewhere on the same planet as this?
Our opponents have no shame. But when your ideas don’t work and your arguments don’t convince, the ability to feel shame will only hurt your cause.

As an American of Mexican decent I apologize for this disgrace Lopez. It's frustrating to watch the left coopt the ethnic Mexican population of this great country walk in lock step the Democrat party.
However scant I found Lopez's humor, even that small bit of good will has been lost with his sychophantic, slavish devotion to Obama.
Typically, he's made his millions- now he helps keep everybody down by pimping Obama's socialist agenda.

I started out liking his sitcom and then it got too political/negative/not funny. I'm a big girl and take a few jabs (if they are funny), but this constant berating of Sarah Palin is really mean-spirited. I've never seen anything like it. I don't think George W. had folks foaming at the mouth like this.

It's just so hypocritical for them to talk about "race" and allow those races to organize into groups "Black Congressional Caucus", but white people can't do it.

Juarez had 2602 murders last calender year, it's THE most dangerous city in the world. Some of my fellow classmates at U.Texas El Paso are wary to go home to Juarez at night. That sucks.
They really, really want to discredit her early and often, before she gets a foothold at Fox.

THIS is also a fact: Being plucked out of – as far as national politics is concerned – nowhere and placed on a presidential ticket primarily because the "other guys" are either going to have a minority or a woman and your side needs a novelty to match them (and, secondarily, because the main candidate is being prevented from choosing his own partners) is not "self-made." Yes, fine, she won a governorship. So did Rod Blagoveich.

As a hispanic, I truly am embaressed for both Lopezs. I used to be a fan of both but now their true colors are coming out. It saddens me that they few hispanics who have become famous have lost all values. The hispanic culture is conservative by nature and is simply misguided and lied to by the left with promises of 'help for the poor'. While most of my poeple are poor, they fall for it and truly believe that the left is helping them. Its time for them to wake up and look at the examples our fellow hispanics are displaying for all to see. Nice show guys!
You are right about one thing Bob, Lopez has never been funny. By your other point, you must be talking about Barack Obama. What was in his resume before being plucked out by the national party? That's right – a speech at the 2004 convention. What else was on his resume? That's right – very short stint as a state senator and 2 years as a US Senator (4 years of service, but 2 running for Prez and 2 voting present). Sarah Palin was a city councilman, mayor and very popular governor. That alone would give her the job over the community organizer. Now we are seeing his lack of experience in governing and it's costing us TRILLIONS of dollars with what, MAYBE 100,000 new jobs (and that's being generous). So would I take a hockey mom over an overrated lawyer? You bet!

I enjoy watching all the faux intellectuals from Follywood and the media (in the case of Follywood -many of whom have never attended any form of schooling beyond spit wad level high school) denegrating Palin and – by extension – middle Americans.

Vice presidents are uniformly picked for strategic reasons. The only recent exception to this rule is Dick Cheney. Palin was no worse a pick than John Edwards, Dan Quayle, or Joe Biden. Granted, that's not saying much.
However, picking an inexperienced president like Obama entirely for strategic voting purposes, that's something fairly unique.

See, THIS is what's wrong with political discourse in this country: I didn't mention Obama AT ALL, positively or negatively. But because I criticized Palin, you have to leap in with "but Obama…" as though that's an answer for anything – much in the same way, I might add, that Obama and HIS sycophants continue to "but Bush…" instead of answering criticism.
You assume that because one is not "with" Palin that they must be "with" Obama. Frankly, I'm not especially enamored of either of them. Gun-to-my-head, I'll take Obama, mainly because Palin strikes me as better suited to commentary than management (despite what my t-shirt might say, I don't REALLY think Jon Stewart should be president, either) and, more selfishly, because I don't want any more social-conservatives in the federal judiciary or on the Supreme Court. Mexico was under a dictatorship for most of its existence. And its primarily Catholic churches tend to be submissive to whatever govt is in power (i'm self guilty catholic). Mexico needs an influx of Protestants to instill a sense of conservative & self reliance mentality. A Christian mix. They are too stuck on same ole same old govt/quasi communist/catholic reliance like most 3rd world nations are.

As a tourist, I loved El Paso. I flew in there to meet my husband when he returned from Iraq in 04 and we discovered that beer barn that you drive through to buy beer. I had never, ever in my life seen a beer barn and I thought it was just cool. Loved the food, too.

I tried watching Fox network's new show "Past Life." Three characters were trying to figure out the identity of a killer. In the first five minutes, some dialogue went like this…

That, on it's face makes the comparison valid. They represent competeing ideologies. She is a spokesperson for one side – he for the other. He's attempting to govern in his mode (one he railed against as a candidate) and he's being rejected.
The comparison between the two as elected candidates is also valid, don't pretend that Obama was a nationally recognized personality until the campaign got under way.
I respect Palin's abilty to speak for the masses, and Obama speaks fro the elites.

Most of his students were from South America, but a sizable percentage of the others were Cuban. He said that he always noticed a certain disdain in the voice and manner of Manhattan "liberals" whenever they mentioned Cubans. He told me, "It was really strange.
